Today's Access-a-Ride trip is to my pharmacy for an antibiotic for the infection caused by the ingrown toenail. I also have to soak it in salt water every night. The one thing I cannot do is apply Neosporin, since I can no longer reach my toes. I need to figure out some means of doing that today.
-
I did sleep quite well, which is very rare.
-
DR TCB, why is acupuncture for your carpal tunnel syndrome turned down by Medicare while acupuncture is approved vfor your back?

Tuesday morning greetings! I have a cardiology check-up today and several errands to get done before next snowstorm rolls in.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I have a bunch of errands to run today, and I'm already getting a late start.
-
We're supposed to get some kind of sn*w tomorrow, but I don't know how much. We are REALLY spoilt here, and I have to wonder how much longer our good fortune is going to hold out.
-
We are preparing for our s**w which will start after midnight. We shall see what happens.

Good news in the notes!

That is hopeful news, DR elmore3003.
To a degree. If he wants to do it, I'd like to see what he comes up with before we reach an agreement, and I have to notify the publisher ASAP.
-
DR John I hope you are feeling better today.
-
Good news regarding WFO.

DR TCB have you tried acupuncture for your back?

Tuesday morning greetings! I have a cardiology check-up today and several errands to get done before next snowstorm rolls in.
Good result vibes at your check-up today.
-
DR John I hope you are feeling better today.
Mostly. The weather changed yesterday. It’s gray and rainy and I think it affected the air quality.
-
Mom has returned to assisted living. I’m sure she’s happy to be out of that horrible rehab.
-
Of the Oscar nominees, RRR and Aftersun are the ones I really want to see.
-
And Living.
-
Good news about your mom, DR John G.
-
We haven't really had any sun here since Jan 8. But today it's a little bit brighter.

Doing some heavy spreadsheet manipulating. It seems to help me concentrate.

DR vixmom, do I remember correctly that your mother is on some Life Alert program? If so, which one is it and how does she like it?

So, one of the Oscar-nominated shorts is called My Year of Dicks.

Just sayin’.

Excellent.
-
Four!
-
I'm up, I'm up - nine hours of sleep.
-
Then I printed out the book - I normally do that as I go, but hadn't. I still have to go to Staples to print out my proofing copy because that gets spiral-bound.
-
Non-stop e-mails, one completely irritating text.
-
Will leave for Staples in about forty minutes. I'll see if they can get it done in an hour or two so I can stop there on the way home from the meal with Robert Yacko. That would be ideal.
-
Page four? Really?
-
I'm at Kaiser Permanente getting blood drawn...or I will when the call my number.
-
I have 110 (but I'm not in the shade ;) ), but the previous numbers were 293, 294, 296, D, and 10. :o
-
Whew! They just called ticket #100!
-
I have 110 (but I'm not in the shade ;) ), but the previous numbers were 293, 294, 296, D, and 10. :o
:o
-
Did you have an appointment?
-
Page four? Really?
Barely.
-
Did you have an appointment?
No, you don't need one if you're just getting labs done.
-
but the previous numbers were 293, 294, 296, D, and 10.
BINGO!!
-
102, 103, 104...slowly, but surely!
-
Where's my prize?
-
but the previous numbers were 293, 294, 296, D, and 10.
BINGO!!
;D
-
[a little Assassins reference]
-
I Was There for a Blood Draw is the title of my next novel.
-
Where's my prize?
You deserve a f*cking prize! (an Assassins reference!)
-
Gratuitous Post #110, to match my Labs Ticket Number!
-
[a little Assassins reference]
What you said!
-
I have almost as many novels I'm supposed to be writing as I'm supposed to be reading.
-
But BK actually does something about it.
-
Did you have an appointment?
No, you don't need one if you're just getting labs done.
True, but having an appointment can reduce your wait time ;)
-
Those people with higher numbers might have had appointments.
-
Did you have an appointment?
No, you don't need one if you're just getting labs done.
True, but having an appointment can reduce your wait time ;)
It wasn't bad. I'm done.
-
How long a wait in total? Good result vibes.
-
I decided to read some early William Styron novels.....I just finished Lie Down In Darkness and just started Set This House On Fire.....
-
I finished the Season Announcement story for the website - and will add a link to it on both Facebook pages.
The story has MANY links...each production has three pages of information and each of those pages is linked in the story.....then we have the Youth Theatre Workshop which gets it own link.
The Children's Workshop information has not been forthcoming, so that's one link I didn't have to worry about.
Of course each production also has a sponsor (or two) and each sponsor also has a link.
So it took a good morning's work to get it all written. Each show also has a logo - as does each sponsor.
Anyway....it's done.
-
Now all I have to do is wait for someone to message me on Facebook about buying tickets......even though it's in the story.
-
Page Five.
-
Our s**w is expected to begin in about six hours.
-
Out to dinner after a short fun walk downtown.
-
Nice.
-
That does sound like a lot of work, DR Jrand72.
-
They are lucky to have you doing all of that.
-
Now: how do you get tickets?
-
8)
-
That does sound like a lot of work, DR Jrand72.
It does sound like a lot of work.
-
DR Jrand do you enjoy doing it?
-
I think he probably does - but then there's all the annoying bits regarding dealing with other people. :)
-
Those are the parts of life that I often find annoying. :D
-
Don't we all ;)
-
Back from Staples and a nice meal at Vitello's with Robert Yacko, the book celebration meal.
-
Listening to Arnell's sixth symphony. Good stuff.
-
Had a Caesar salad with chicken and garlic bread - just right.
-
Picked up two pieces of unimportant mail.
-
Mom has returned to assisted living. I’m sure she’s happy to be out of that horrible rehab.
Excellent news!

I got a message from Jeremy: he's still reading the book and will get back to me.
Excellent!

DR vixmom, do I remember correctly that your mother is on some Life Alert program? If so, which one is it and how does she like it?
She is. I will check with her to confirm the name and let you know
-
Still trying to get organized for the trip
-
How long a wait in total? Good result vibes.
Total was less than 15 minutes. :) And thanks! I'm sure that my numbers have gone up, though. ::)

That wasn't bad without an appointment. I make appointments and get annoyed if the wait is more than 5 minutes ;D
Fingers crossed on those numbers.

Because that would just be smelly.

Six.
-
We'll always have Six.
-
JohnG was that you who called this morning? No voice mail so I don't know - AT&T has been so lame for the last eight or nine months, with voice mails showing up days late.
-
It tolls for thee.
-
The bell, that is.
-
Speaking of bells, I just finished The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

That joke was in questionable taste. Better forgotten.

And the hills have eyes.
-
So I hear.
-
If they're agreeable, they also have ayes.
-
Good night, friends.
-
Tonight (actually, in about a half hour from now), my friend Margo and I are going to the movies.
-
She wants to see "A Man Called Otto."
-
She wants to see "A Man Called Otto."
Have you seen the original?
-
Just finished the latest All Creatures. Perhaps my favorite recipe so far. Of course I love a good horse story. And a hilarious cat story.
-
Good night, all.
-
Page six?
-
Page SIX?
-
Page seven has been waiting in the wings for HOURS.
-
As have I.
-
And yet, here we are.
-
Hopefully we'll have some late-night action.
-
Just passed 122,000 postings.
-
I really did.
-
Thinking about a snack, although I really shouldn't.
-
And yet...
-
That said, all I have here is about three ounces of noodles I could cook but that's like three bites.
-
And who can just have three bites of ANYTHING?
-
I'm a five-bite sort.
-
Maybe a ten-bite sort.
-
Page seven has made its entrance at long last.
-
Page nine is waiting in the wings.
-
As am I.
-
Better write some notes soon.
-
And yet, I am thinking about a snack.
-
Are you?
-
Speaking of bells, I just finished The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
How was he?
-
She wants to see "A Man Called Otto."
Have you seen the original?
I did not see the original, but Margo did.
-
She also listened to (a translation of) the original book.
-
She really liked both, and we both really liked the movie.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
Page nine is waiting in the wings.
What happened to page eight?
-
Hello, George.
-
I am not really into movies about cars.
-
DR TCB have you tried acupuncture for your back?
Not yet.
-
Speaking of bells, I just finished The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
How was he?
:))
-
I am not really into movies about cars.
Actually, cars are a featured plot element in one segment of the movie.
-
I saw that all of us here at HHW got a Oscar nomination in the Documentary category for ALL THE BEAUTY AND THE BLOODSHED.

Gratuitous Post #200!!
-
What Ever Happened to Page Eight, the question of the damn day.
-
A question with no answer.
-
An answer with no question.
-
I do feel we're close.
-
Closer than ever.
-
Starting here, starting now.
-
I can feel it.
-
I can sense it.
-
Is this gaslighting 101.
-
George has gone down a rabbit hole.
-
Page eight has made its entrance.
-
Just in the nick of time.
-
Then came Bronson.
-
Bracken's World.
-
What am I, a TV historian.
-
I asked Leonard Maltin to blurb the new book. He turned me down - too backed up blurbing a ton of other books, otherwise he would have.
-
A shame.
-
Why does George disappear just when we need posts? Every single time?
-
Is that some kind of statement?
-
Some kind of fish?
-
Some kind of something?
-
I do not understand it.
-
I don't profess to understand it.
-
Then came Bronson.
Bronson Pinchot?
-
And it does not profess to understand me.
-
Name the star of Then Came Bronson - no cheating. Name at least one star of Bracken's World - no cheating.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
Name the star of Then Came Bronson - no cheating. Name at least one star of Bracken's World - no cheating.
I don't think I've heard of either of those. :-\

TCB for the win.
