The fickle finger of fate is non-cooperative.

A-a-R and Dear World vibes for DR Elmore!
Sadly, I had to turn down the opportunity to play in a college production of Into the Woods because it overlaps one of those others. That’s a piano part I’ve wanted to tackle. I’ve only ever played the synth book which largely consists of celesta and sound effects such as the cow and the baby and the squish and enough tacets to read War and Peace in.
We’ll probably watch Groundhog Day tonight.
The musical is opening tonight at one of the venues in Stamford, and I will catch that in another week or two.
:)

Lena Horn, being not only a singer, but a movie star, insisted on being allowed to stay at the hotel where she was performing. They allowed her to do that, but every morning they burned the sheets.
Whew, almost missed another birthday.

My adventure today will be crossing over the state line and getting fingerprinted by the great state of Noo Yawk. And paying $101.75 for the privilege. Thankfully, that’s being reimbursed by the nice folks hiring me to play Chicago at a high school next month.
One or two Connecticut towns have my prints on file as well. I’d best stay in line and keep my nose clean, you think?
The finger is in no mood to cooperate.
Happy Groundhog Day, everyone.
New battery.....in the shop and on my way home in 28 minutes.
Me, too....DR singdaw.....total was $164.98 including labor.....two year guarantee......
Thursday afternoon greetings! We have been to see Richard's surgeon for his 2-week follow-up and she says he doesn't need to see her again (unless there's a problem).

Keith's 95 year old uncle fell and is about to have surgery to fix his femur.

Oh, no!
~~~Vibes fot Keith's Uncle!!~~~
I was half an hour early but had only a two-minute wait before they took me, so I was outta there about 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment.
Easy peasy. No ink or anything, just the guided pressing the fingers against the glass plate of the scanner device.
This one was especially delicious.
I have never listened to Allegro, and I've always meant to.
I have never listened to Allegro, and I've always meant to.
It's my least favorite R&H show. I like onew song from it: "So Far." You know you're in trouble when the big finale is sung by a ghost and the bitch wife's adultery is talked about, rather than a major plot point.
~~~SURGERY AND RECOVERY VIBES~~~ for DH Keith's uncle!!!!!!

I'm glad DR JOHN G didn't have to have his fingerprints done today.
I don’t mind sharing my birthday with the groundhog.
We get along quite well.
Am waiting for someone who is bringing CAKE.
Thank you, Jane, for the birthday greeting and beautiful card.
I am also really happy that BK remembered. 😉
Vibes for Keith's Uncle!
Thanks for the procedure info DR CHAS SMITH.

In the meantime, I redecorated. Too much?
Just popped in to share the great news that WFO was brought home today.
He is very happy
He has an aide and his neighbor did some grocery shopping for him
Thistlefoot.
Thistlefoot.
Sounds painful.
It sounds interesting, DR Jane.
I hope I didn't post that one already before.
Watching the latest episode of Nova on PBS about the construction of the latest segment of the London Underground (the CrossRail). What a mammoth undertaking.
Thank you, Rodzinski!
Sharon and Charles say hello.
Has anyone read it?
Has anyone seen CORNER GAS? It's a Canadian TV show with very quirky humor. It's several years old, but I just heard about it. I found it funny, but I don't everyone would. It does have great ratings, though, so I'm not alone.
Has anyone watched The Larkins? Based on The Darling Buds of May.
Def recommend getting a plug-in carbon monoxide detector, Jeanne, if you don’t have one.

I will look into it.
Did you hear that novelist Armistead Maupin composed a sappy one-movment concerto?
It's Maupin's maudlin modern movement.

Question for Ask BK Day. What were those Osmonds shows like to do? Did you have to go to their Utah studio or was this before that was done?
DR TCB, I am glad you were able to spend time with your family and they could drive you to your appointment. How is Elijah?
More apartment drama today. I've been getting little headaches lately and noticed that the heat was always on when I got them. When the heat turns off the headache would go away. I tried four times to call the gas company's emergency number. Each time I called a recording would say that they were too busy to take my call and to call 911! I am always reluctant to call 911 for anything except a real emergency, but I don't wish to perish in my bed due to carbon monoxide. A fire truck arrived, lights on, sirens blaring, and three firefighters came up to my apartment to check the carbon monoxide level. It was OK and they referred me to the heating contractor. They also said that low levels, below what can be picked up on their sensors, could be present and causing thr headaches.
The set was essentially giant screens, and they were so well done!

L O L! I thought you wrote that they were essentially giant screws!
