Well, you've read the notes, the notes were worth of a Kritzie award, and now it is time for you to post until the worthy cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: PRAYER!
-
Good thing you were on first and not fourth as those lyrics were a great tone-setter.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
A hearty CONGRATULATIONS to DR George on being cast in his dream show!
-
Now, to attend to today's Notes.
-
Glad the Robbies were fun. Would have loved to have been in the room to hear the reception of that opening song.
-
~~~CONTINUED MAJOR MIRACLE VIBES~~~ for BK!!!!!!!
-
What if ChatGPT is just a cat typing on the Internet?
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept well, and the kitties behaved tolerably well.
-
DR George, have you notified the other show you were cast in that you will be leaving it?
-
BK, a few years ago, I got a new prescription for glasses. They didn't do much, and then I found I had a hard time reading small print. So, using the computer, I zoomed to larger type, but I had to stop reading books because I got to the point where I couldn't read a word. I thought, I'm going blind or I need new glasses. So, last year I saw an optometrist about a new prescription for glasses and learned I had cataracts. You might want to have your eyes checked out.
-
DR Jeanne, the publisher seems to be happy with Jeremy.
You can still say "And stay off my lawn!" from the grave.
-
DR George, have you notified the other show you were cast in that you will be leaving it?
Yes, I messaged the director a couple of nights before the callbacks that I had auditioned and that this might happen. He was very understanding.
Congratulatipns to George!
Congratulations to Rob!
Continued miracle vibes for MR BK.
I got my credit card statement and I knew it would be B I G.
Still - I went a little crazy with it in January. My car battery purchase was after the date, but I just went ahead and paid the entire balance so I can start at $0.00
DR JEANNE that photo was from a party at my nephew's house.....it's a murder mystery called Trailer Park Tragedy.....
It was fun and everyone looked great. I am standing with my niece's husband Nick - I was Bobby Rae and he was Hunter Strong.....
The lyrics are great, and that certainly IS an opening number. Glad that went well.
I'm so glad Rob Berman won that, and I can't wait to hear the recording.
-
A sunny day, and I think it's supposed to get to almost 50...which is up 50 degrees from just a couple of days ago.
What a February!
-
DR George, have you notified the other show you were cast in that you will be leaving it?
Yes, I messaged the director a couple of nights before the callbacks that I had auditioned and that this might happen. He was very understanding.
I too was wondering, and guessing, you gave the director a heads up.
-
DR Kevin did your family in the Buffalo area feel a bit of shaking this morning?
It would work DR JOHN G!
I am here today betting $5 that MR BK will be invited back to open the Robby Awards next year.
I made some chicken & noodles for today and tomorrow and probably Wednesday.
But I only used 8 oz. of noodles so maybe it won't be SO MUCH!
Went to a noodle shop yesterday. I took one noodle from the bowl and it was more than three feet long. Made me think of Lucy.
In the finale, the cast, bearing pastries, taps around the baker in a doughnut formation.
I am liking this new "take" on Sunday. I think it will be a box office bonanza!
-
And we were all here at its inception.
-
I feel so special.
-
Just remembered seeing Charles Kimbrough is a daffy, inspired revival of Noel Coward’s Hay Fever. At one point, he sits down to a ghastly breakfast and remarks to another guest, “It’s not very good, is it?” He turned that one line into a master class of timing snd delivery. The laughter was long and raucous. That whole production was a joy.
Tap by tap, putting it together.
-
Only way to make a work of art.
-
And of course, tapping on a Sunday …
-
I took a brief Winter Term "course" for beginning tappers many, many years back. It was great fun.
Here's a wonderful cut from Renee Fleming's Grammy-winning recital disc:
Good morning.
Congratulations, George!
Wonderful lyrics, BK.
-
Access-a-Ride was great today. I proofread the Overture, and I think my work on Dear World is over. I told Joshie I could come in Friday if he needed me. The next three days are tied up with doctor's appointments.
Goof Afternoon - First chance today to sit down and catch up. I haven't even done the Wordle yet. It's been a busy morning. My 3rd graders sang for the Senior Outreach Luncheon - 2 songs from The Sound of Music - "How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria" and "Climb Every Mountain". They did well. My 7th grade is starting work on parodies, by 8th grade is being really big lazy pains in the ass, and everything else seems be be going well. Hooray for all.
Speaking of HORRAY - HORRAY to DR George on your casting. It'll be great fun.
Other than that, it's time for a meeting....
-
Congratulations, George!
Thanks, Iris!
DR Matthew, congratulations to your 3rd graders.
He's a good conversationalist.
I can't remember if I posted this before... ;D
-
DR Matthew, congratulations to your 3rd graders.
Indeed. Congratulations.
-
Meeting vibes for DR MATTHEW - although I would guess it's over by now.
-
What time did MR BK get up?
-
I suppose I shall watch BELOW DECK this evening and see what the deckies are doing.
-
I watched about half an episode of CORNER GAS and I am intrigued.
-
If I want to watch BABYLON on my television it will cost me $19.99. I don't think I want to see it that much.
-
Temp still in the 40's at almost 7 p.m.
I'll take it.
I have a coupon for 15% off an entire purchase, so I think I will go over to OLLIE'S in the morning and look at their book selections and get some nice American Home candles.
-
I wished my Birdies had more personality......but I guess I was spoiled by Birdy Barnum....
-
Got up at eleven-thirty. Had a good telephonic meeting and we'll see what happens.
-
I wished my Birdies had more personality......but I guess I was spoiled by Birdy Barnum....
I know you miss him :(
-
DR George, I have put the dates of your show on our calendar. I don't know if we can go in May but will try to do so. June is less likely.
-
I think I dozed in my meeting - it was really boring and the software being demonstrated wasn't really something I could use. Anyway, home now, dogs are fed and I'm on my way to Matilda.
-
The children of the corn are pretty corny.
-
DR elmore3003, I thought of you when I saw this:
-
Uh oh....
-
So... is macaroni and cheese "mac" because it's short for macaroni, or is it because "mac" is an acronym for macaroni and cheese?
-
These are the things I ponder...
-
Meanwhile...
DR John G., has you doctor considered this?
-
Limping along toward the next page.
-
But slowly.
-
Very slowly.
-
Very very slowly.
-
Get the picture?
-
I think you do.
-
TOD: I honestly don't remember when I got my first bike, but I do remember the exhilaration of the day we removed my training wheels.
-
And yes, over the years, there were definitely playing cards and clothespins deployed.
-
FIVE!
-
I think I dozed in my meeting - it was really boring and the software being demonstrated wasn't really something I could use. Anyway, home now, dogs are fed and I'm on my way to Matilda.
;D I hope your dozing wasn't noticed.
-
Uh oh....
I have seen this and don't, don't want to, believe it. Maybe if the dark sense of humor is something new.
-
DR George, I have put the dates of your show on our calendar. I don't know if we can go in May but will try to do so. June is less likely.
That would be really cool!
-
First, and basically only bike, was a German made bike. I had it through my childhood. Fortunately a neighbor took the time to raise my seat once the bike was too small for me to sit comfortably. He is the one who told me it was a German bike cuz he needed to use a special tool.
-
My sister took my bike one day and left it someplace because it had a flat tire and refused to go back for it with her car >:(
-
I briefly had a piece of crap that Keith bought me. It fell apart quickly and I never liked riding it.
-
My bike was even stolen and was so bad the thief returned it after a few days ;D
-
;D
-
What is it, fishes?
-
I call this "When DR John G. went to the garden center..."
-
Interesting.
-
How long before rehearsals start, DR George?
-
'night
-
Are "Mr" and "Mrs" the couple in the park with the Southern drawls?
-
Uh oh....
The world is mad. Mad, I tell you. Mad.
-
I call this "When DR John G. went to the garden center..."
Oui.
-
Meanwhile...
DR John G., has you doctor considered this?
Ha! The pain is about the same.
-
Long day of work. Long night of dancing.
-
I have finally settled down eith a pamplemousse-flavored La Croix.
-
I have started the recent film adaptation of Balzac’s Lost Illusions. One thousand-plus pages condensed into a 2.5-hour movie. So far, so good. But there is a narrator to fill in some gaps.
-
I know I won’t finish tonight.
-
I was trying to hang on at least until page six, but I'm not sure I'm gonna make it.
-
After all.
-
Good night, friends.
-
So... is macaroni and cheese "mac" because it's short for macaroni, or is it because "mac" is an acronym for macaroni and cheese?
I've never thought (or heard) of this. I have always wondered if people today will grow up not knowing that the "mac" of mac and cheese actually is short for "macaroni. :-\
-
Thankfully, they didn't cap it. MAC. Oy.
-
Let's get off this page.
-
One more ...
-
Six!
-
Just paid a bill. That's all the activity I'm up for, I'm afraid.
-
But I am enjoying Lost Illusions.
-
Love those 19th century novels.
-
I do have the new episodes of Miss Scarlett and All Creatures to watch. Tomorrow or Wednesday.
-
Well not Wednesday. I have to usher for an opera. I can't remember the name.
-
I looked it up. It's Maria de Buenos Aires by Astor Piazzolla.
-
Olivia Coleman is set to star in the film version of The Girl from the North Country. Conor McPherson is set to direct. I look forward to that.
-
Finished with my viewing and back to the book.
-
How long before rehearsals start, DR George?
I don't know the specific start date, but I got an e-mail with this bit of info:
We're anticipating 4 music rehearsals between now and about March 21 or 22, when we'll start rehearsing more regularly.
-
Are "Mr" and "Mrs" the couple in the park with the Southern drawls?
Yes. Once we started reading at the callbacks, my preference was actually leaning toward that character...mainly as something different than the 300 lines I had to learn for Inspector Craddock in A Murder is Announced. ;)
-
Olivia Coleman is set to star in the film version of The Girl from the North Country. Conor McPherson is set to direct. I look forward to that.
Cool!
-
Good night, all.
-
Visited WFO after work today
-
He is very happy to be home and the aide, a man named Gene seemed very nice
-
I got a red tricycle when I was 3 and a pink bicycle with training wheels when I was 5.
-
We took the training wheels off around time I was 6
-
Then when I was about 9 or 10 I was given a turquoise women’s bicycle that I used until I was about 20
-
I left it behind after I moved out and my Mom used it for years after that
-
I should be sleeping
-
There’s a lot of work to do
-
Finished with finessing for the evening - got past page 200 so I should be able to finish with it by Wednesday or Thursday.
-
Great lyrics, Bruce.
-
Topic of the Day: I don't remember my first bike.
-
I know I had at least one before I got my 10-speed in either middle or high school, but other than that, I have no clew. :-\
-
T.O.D. I couldn’t even tell you what my first car was. That’s not true, my first car was a 1953 Pontiac ”Moose.”
-
I don’t remember what the actual model was, but it was like a lime green tank. It could stop anything in its tracks.
-
It had been my sister’s car, but she had her boyfriend/husband to drive her around.
-
Page SIX???
-
What the HELL is going on here?
-
Most unseemly.
-
Page SEVEN? What the HELL is going on here?
-
George is down some rabbit hole, I suppose.
-
I, on the other hand, am NOT.
-
I had a little Taco Bell snack.
-
George is down some rabbit hole, I suppose.
No, I was downstairs having a late dinner.
-
I had a little Taco Bell snack.
That sounds better than my late dinner...Atkins frozen dinner.
-
Now I'm eating some teeny-tiny candy hearts the Darling Daughter sent me for Valentine's Day.
-
Sometimes you just have to have a little Taco Bell snack.
-
It wasn't bad, especially after I added some shredded Monterey Jack cheese. :)
-
I think we should all make a pilgrimage to see George in Sunday in the Park with George.
-
Monterey Jack cheese can make just about any frozen dinner better...not every frozen dinner, but a lot. ;D
-
Excited to see episode ten tomorrow (today).
-
I like jack cheese and I like muenster cheese.
-
I think we should all make a pilgrimage to see George in Sunday in the Park with George.
Sure! And Jed is also in the show, so there's that! Maybe Ann will come to the same performance!
-
I like jack cheese and I like muenster cheese.
I don't know if I've ever had muenster, but I also really like Havarti.
-
Listening to Henry Mancini - Days of Wine and Roses.
-
I like brie.
-
Listening to Henry Mancini - Days of Wine and Roses.
Love that one! I wonder how good the new musical adaptation is going to be. ::)
-
I used to love Velveeta, but I was shocked what it tasted like after not having had any for the past fifty years.
-
I think the musical of Days and Wine and Roses will be exactly what you'd expect from the creative team.
-
I like brie.
Brie and camembert are very similar, but I haven't had a taste test to find out which I like better.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
Gratuitous Post #205!!
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
I've read them.
I shall, too, very shortly.
-
I think we're very close to having a book cover.
-
But before I do...here's PAGE EIGHT!!
-
I think we're very close to having a book cover.
That's great!
-
I think we are. I've sent four variations to Muse Margaret.
-
Well, at least we got to page eight.
-
I don’t care for brie cheese
-
