Well, you've read the notes, the notes were sleepy, and now it is time for you to post until the sleepy cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: EPITOME!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
Love the final key art for SAMI!
-
A Question for BK: For those of us who got the Indiegogo Thank You in the Booklets Perk, did that start with the two CDs that are just now being shipped, or will it start with the CD that you're about to announce?
-
Yes, it began with those two albums.

Good morning, all!
-
I did not sleep well last night. It wasn't bad, just not very good.
-
DR singdaw, I loved The Duchess of Duke Street, which is loosely based on a real character. Gemma Jones, one of my favorite actresses, has a scene late in the series that will tear your heart out. Another series I liked very much is The Grand, which starred Susan Hampshire as a very discreet courtesan.
-
This is another ballet day, only one of many for the remainder of this year.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Glad the concert was great, DR John G.
-
I ordered both Kritzerland releases in the last offering, but only received How to Succeed. Are they shipping separately?
-
Good morning, all.
-
Not a great night of sleep. The new splint was different and I have to get used to it.
-
I need to stir.
-
And the word of the day is: EPITOME!
My favorite character from Les Miserables, Marius totally picked the wrong girl

A happy Wednesday morning to all of you.
-
How can it possibly be the 22nd of February?
Seriously!!!
-
You've goat to be kid-ding!
-
Good morning, all.
-
I had a weird and irritating night of on-again, off-again sleep. I was waking up what seemed like almost every hour, for every reason, from the temperature not being right to visiting the necessary to stupid irritating dreams. I finally got up earlier than planned just to be done with it.
-
I don't know what prompted it, but I just had a flashback memory to the Middle School talent show.
I was supposed to accompany "O Happy Day" at the piano. We had never rehearsed it. They hadn't provided me music, so I had transcribed it from a recording. Thankfully, not too many chords, and a lot of repetition.
The moment came... but the piano was not on the stage. The tech kids refused to roll it out onto the stage. So, the kids onstage had to improvise a cappella. And I never had to play.
The End.

Good morning!

Wordle: 3/6
-
Hope we hear from TCB tonight
-
One more...
-
Page 2!
-
Last year at this time it was 2-22-22.....and now it's 2-23-22.....not as much fun.
-
Very nice SAMI art!
Vibes for a nice celebration meal....and on to the Emmy Awards.
-
Gloomy day - but of course we don't have any snow predicted.....just a H I G H wind advisory until 3 a.m. Thursday morning.
Hold on to your hats, boys......
-
I finished a book called The Secret Life of Oscar Wilde which was interesting and informative. I had just recently read the complete transcript of his libel suit trial which was also interesting.
-
I think I may watch MODESTY BLAISE today....it's just one of those days.
-
We played the truth game - now we're going to play consequences.
-
Love the Sami art. Is that the Kimberly Akimbo marquee in the background?
-
DR Rodzinski, good news on the Chex report. Vibes for continued good news.
-
From George:
I never read the book, but I really liked the original movie much better than the remake.
Then you would have like the book since the original Andromeda Strain was almost identical to the novel.
-
From DR John:
Neo-Nazis apparently protested a performance of Parade tonight in New York.
I read about that >:( :'(

That must have been disappointing, and not very nice of the tech kids.
-
Bruce, the final key art looks great, and even better once I clicked and enlarged it :)
-
The Sami art makes me want more.
-
Waiting for a doctor’s appointment.
-
I'm up, I'm up - seven and a half hours of sleep.
-
Singdaw, no they're not shipping separately. She probably screwed up - LOTS of orders. I'll let her know.
-
Singdaw, actually you ordered How to Succeed and The Triial - separate orders that shipped separately. You never ordered Porter V. EDIT: Nope, the invoice looked okay and I forwarded it, but like many of the invoices, it came through wonky and didn't have Porter V and there was no way to know that since it had the one title, so it looked okay. She'll send your Porter V. Hopefully, this will NOT be a recurring theme, but I did forward some of these that looked okay and may not have been, although I really tried to be careful.
Now I'm looking for these when invoices come in, because clearly MacMail is a thing of the past and isn't working properly and they don't care. They come through fine on aol.com. But aol.com was missing whole days of emails because THEY were down, so then I have to go to PayPal and find stuff.

This picture is really silly because you can't identify anything except the damned moon that I was apparently impressed with one night in the late 1970s. But for your viewing pleasure, here it is, with a question for
BK: Do you think this could be Wilshire Blvd. looking east from about Westwood Blvd., with the Avco on the right?
-
Or, wait -- not the Fox Wilshire by any chance?
-
You've goat to be kid-ding!
Hahahaha
-
I don’t have to see the doctor again for six months. And I am cutting back on one drug.
-
Blood numbers were better than they’ve ever been.

And thanks to the Maunjaro, I now weigh 177, far less than my pandemic 210 or my worst-ever 225.
-
Note to self: don’t go to Luby’s on Ash Wednesday. The fish special has caused a huge line.
-
What is Maunjaro?
-
Abd how do i get it?
-
I , too, enjoyed the Sami art.
-
Will the Sami episodes be released all at once or will they be released weekly?
-
Another question:
I was telling someone about having seen The Thomas Crown Affair last night, and they asked what other films of that period utilized that wacky tiling system of showing multiple shots or scenes at once on the screen? I know there are other examples, and it's killing me that I can't come up with one.
Edit: I don't mean simple split screen, which goes at least as far back as Pillow Talk. Brian De Palma is one who was big on that in his thrillers. I'm talking about multiple tiled images of various sizes moving around on a black background.
-
What is Maunjaro?
A diabetes med that causes weight loss.
-
Ask your doctor, Vixmom.

There was snow at the gym this morning while almost nothing here.
-
Keith was sweet and dropped me off at the front door before parking.
-
And he picked me up at the door.
-
I never had to put my bulky break-away pants on over my shorts.
-
We did have to leave early though as Keith forgot his tablet.
-
I did most of my workout-just without two of my three miles I usually do on the treadmill.
-
Thanks for all the sleuthing, BK. Sorry it's so messy!

On This Day in 1983, the play Moose Murders flopped spectacularly on Broadway. Frank Rich wrote, "A visit to 'Moose Murders' is what will separate the connoisseurs of Broadway disaster from mere dilettantes for many moons to come."

That's what I was calling "simple split screen". I mean like this, with two or more scenes or camera shots represented...
-
Well, it seems the folder has been emptied and we can post photos again.
Regarding DR John G.'s posting about bread the other day, a college friend of mine has been exploring bread baking during the pandemic. Here is one of his:

I don’t have one since I haven’t been this skinny in 30 years. I’m down almost to a 32-inch waist.

That's great.
-
John, I had read about the new (?) medicine that helped reduce weight. How long have you been on it? Is this why you were able to go off of another medication?
-
My weight is down and blood sugar is down, so I can take half of my metformin. Unless the numbers go up.
-
There are other drugs that help with weight loss. Ozempic is another.
I’ve been on my for three months.

Sweet.
-
Congratulations on your health gains, DR John G.
-
Or, wait -- not the Fox Wilshire by any chance?
Not the Wilshire and it's a double marquee so probably is the Avco. My first guess was the Stanley Warner Beverly Hills but it's a double marquee.
-
We've had about 4 to 5 inches of the white stuff so far. We're expecting at least another foot by mid-day tomorrow, with winds 30-40mph, so treacherous conditions.
-
Will the Sami episodes be released all at once or will they be released weekly?
I believe they'll all be available at the same time.
-

Grand Prix is the obvious one.
-

Vibes they don't go back up.
-
Vibes your numbers continue to go down!
-
There are other drugs that help with weight loss. Ozempic is another.
I’ve been on my for three months.
It is great it has worked so well.
-
You can't that kind of medication without having a condition, right?
-
Choosing songs and listening to music has been the day thus far.
-
I'm starving but dinner isn't until five-thirty
-
Page four? Really?
-
Took a pass at writing the flap copy for the new book.
-
Not sure it's right, though - I hate giving too much away.
-
It seems to me the meds for diabetes all reduce, or have the potential to help with weight loss. I need to stop this sugar binge I am on, cuz I will be in big trouble if I need to take these medications.
Correction, I found some that add weight-no thank you ;D
-
Right?
-
Left?
-
Speaking of meds, today I learned that the expiration dates on Paxlovid have been extended.
-
That reminds me, I want to see if there have been any changes in the expiration dates on our covid texts.
-
Yes, folder is now back to what it should have been - apparently one of the updates brought it back to the original default rather than what I put in.
-
I don't know from Paxlovid.
-
I don't know from medication.
-
Oh dear.
-
Dear oh.
-
Page five has mad its entrance.
-
It was a fine entrance.
-
But no entrance applause.
-
Are you sure?
-
Do you feel twitchy and bitchy and manic?
-
I finished No. 2 today, and tomorrow I'll begin No. 3, The Campfire Waltz.
-
;)

This is the (Catholic) cathedral in Saint Paul; I used to live just a few blocks away. For scale, the roof of the dome is the area of a football field.

Hello, everyone.
-
Lots of good news from John G!
Vibes for continued improvement!

Oh dear.

Two hours to food.
-
Trying to kill time until then but time is being elusive.
-
Of course, if I was running late then time would by flying.

Thus it has been, thus it will always be.

Where in tarnation IS everyone?

Off doing things?

Apparently so.

It's really windy here today. This apartment is sooo drafty and on windy days it feels like there's a window open. I'm bundled up, with the heat on, and I'm still cold. I do hope the wind dies down soon.

There's a blizzard forecast for the mountains around LA this weekend. Up to 7 feet of snow! In LA!

My question for Bruce today is: What was the name of the dealer where you bought your car?
-

Today must be Romberg day on TCM.....but we are getting the 1950's remakes.
I enjoy Miss Ann Blyth so much more than the screeching Jane Powell and Kathryn Grayson. I am not enough of a singing expert to describe how their voices sound to me.....but it's nails on the chalk board time.
-
Page Six.

DR Jeanne is there something you can put over your windows, and maybe under the door, to keep the draft out?
Believe me, I've been asking myself that. In fact, my neighbor and I were discussing it last week. So far I haven't come up with much that is low-cost. But a pair of fleece sweats is due here today. If they fit I'll be wearing them pronto!
-
Of course my favorite movie singer of that type will always be Miss Deanna Durbin.....who never screeched.....
-
You can't that kind of medication without having a condition, right?
Supposedly. But I think it depends on the doctor.

LOL....I like Jane Powell a lot until she starts singing....

I think Jane is still among the living, as they say.

Between the doctor report and the weather, it seems DR John is having a very good day.
-
DR George, and I hope DR TCB can respond as well...Do you have snow?
-
DR Jeanne you reminded me to put my new slippers on. Socks just aren't warm enough today and I need the extra layer.
-
I shall now be on my way to the mail place and the to dinner.
-
DR George, and I hope DR TCB can respond as well...Do you have snow?
Why, yes I do! It's not sticking at all, though.
-
A few flakes here. Cold winds!

Our lawn and driveway are completely covered.

Craig received his replacement of bread and I now have a good idea of what happened to the first order.
-
There is a secure storage room with lockers. Smaller items go into a locker while larger one go on the floor. The delivery is supposed to be put into the system, and then Craig receives a notification.
-
Last time he never received a notification, just an email from FedEx.
Same email again, no notification.
-
The package was left on the floor, OUTSIDE the storage/locker area.
Thank goodness it was still there when he finally checked.
-
Between the doctor report and the weather, it seems DR John is having a very good day.
Strange for an Ash Wednesday. Ask Wednesday 13 years ago was the day I got laid off. It’s been a wild ride ever since.
-
I am glad that 13 years later it is a better day.
-
So, I thought that TAO was going to have a virtual Teams board meeting at 6:00, but it turns out that it's not until 7:30, which is fine with me.
-
That gives me time to update all the apps on my tablet...including actually adding the Teams app to my tablet! ;D
-
DR Jeanne you might want one a Warmies to keep warm.
https://warmies.com/
-
I also saw slippers at Amazon.
-
They have lavender in them which would give me a headache or I would buy one.
-
'night
-
I'll have to check out The Grand, as well. Thanks for the recommendation!
-
I didn't know this: in 1958, the peace symbol was designed by Gerald Holtom. It was commissioned by the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND), and it combines the semaphore symbols for the letters "N" and "D" - an abbreviation for "Nuclear Disarmament."
-
I'm not sharing this post. Don't ask me.
-
We need some farmyard jokes right about now.
-
Or puns.
-
Puns would do nicely, too.
-
I was moving some stuff around today and found Jason Graae: Live at the Cinegrill. A lovely CD. My gawrsh, Jason looks so young!
Well, didn't we all, 23 years ago.
-
Does the Cinegrill, as a venue, still exist?
-
I know the label that issued that CD does not.
-
The label that shall not be named.
-
I have a sink full of dishes to tackle before I can head to bed.
-
But head to bed soon, I shall.
-
But not before a page turn.
-
Oh no.
-
We must consider our priorities.
-
And sleep isn't one of them.
-
But still...
-
Page Eight.
-
Good night, friends.
-
Back from a fun celebratory meal at the Smokehouse. I had my trio o' things - cup of clam chowder, shrimp cocktail, and wedge salad - and garlic cheese bread of course and creme brûlée of course.
-
I am, as you might expect, FULL.
-
I’ve been on a Creme brûlée kick myself lately.
-
I can’t tell if the Cine Grill is still functioning or not, or someone’s just using the name.
-
Jane, thanks for the Warmies link. I hadn't heard of them, which is strange since I did numerous searches for microwaveable heating pads. I guess I should have said "microwaveable stuffed animal." Or some such. I'll probably buy one. I did try an old-fashioned hot water bottle, but that didn't work out.
-

What?! No big piece of meat?! You'll be eating like Jane and I in no time!
-
Good night.
-
Ask BK: BK, which was the first First Nudie soundtrack LP. The Northal or the 1st Musical pressing? Did you have any input on those releases?
-
Good night, all.
-
We've got to find someone who can fly this plane and who didn't have fish for dinner!
-
I'm watching a double feature of Zero Hour! and The Crowded Sky.

So, I thought that TAO was going to have a virtual Teams board meeting at 6:00, but it turns out that it's not until 7:30, which is fine with me.
The board meeting went well. We talked about adding more board members, so that was good...and they'll definitely be needed.
-
We also talked about TAO officially taking over the Broadway Olympia Productions' space at the mall (tons of free parking!), so it'll mostly be ours.
-
When we had The Midnight Sun performance space downtown, we also opened it up for rentals, so that'll continue with this new space.
-
Fortunately, I was able to to update all my apps, and add the Teams app to my tablet, in plenty of time for the correct board meeting time.
-
I'm not sharing this post. Don't ask me.

Ask BK: BK, which was the first First Nudie soundtrack LP. The Northal or the 1st Musical pressing? Did you have any input on those releases?
1st Musical was first, given out as promos at the screenings. Then World Northal picked the film up, so we did that pressing. Then it went to Varese Sarabande and became their very first soundtrack album. I worked on all three.

How can we still be on page eight when we were on page eight two and a half HOURS ago.
-
Is there gaslighting going on?
-
Has George gone down some damn rabbit hole again?
-
How many damn rabbit holes can there be?
-
To be or not to be, that is the question.
-
Well, we're certain close.
-
Close is what we are.
-
Closer than ever.
-
Should be any minute now.
-
But nooooo, gaslighting prevails.
-
Wonky.
-
Willy Wonky and the Chocolate Factory.
-
At long last, page nine, even though George is clearly down some rabbit hole or will sleep be the culprit.
-
I cannot say, oh, no, I cannot say - at this time.
-
He's not even in the damn room.
-
He'll just show up and pretend he couldn't be here.
-
Thus it has been, thus it will always be.
-
Funky.
-
Chunky.
-
Monkey.
-
Weird.
-
Feared.

Seared.

I was taking pictures of a program that I received today from Etsy!
-
I think maybe the garlic cheese bread was a little strong - but boy was it good.
-
The souvenir program is autographed by the cast of the 1988 revival of Ain't Misbehavin'!
-
Etsy. What does that even mean?
-
I know not from Etsy.
-
Is it run by Betsy?
-
Let's see.
-
Andre De Shields sidn't sign it, though, but his understudy Eric Riley did.
-
I don't know.
-
Etsy is a mystery to me.
-
Here's the cover:

Then came Bronson.
-
Thus spake Zarathustra.
-
Hey, the photo uploader works! Whew!

Fish.

Here's Nell's autograph:

Wonky knish.

Page ten has made its entrance. Nice to see ya.

Here's Eric's on Andre's page:
-
New notes are up.
-
I've seen them.
-
Here's Armelia's:
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.

What the HELL is Etsy.

Here's Ken's:

What the HELL is Etsy.
www.etsy.com It's kind of like eBay, but no auctions, just sales. A lot of handmade stuff is sold on it.
-
And here's Charlaine's:

What's funny is the billing on the title page:

No TCB. Again.
