Well, you've read the notes, the notes were musical and manly, and now it is time for you to post until the manly cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: MELIORISM!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Does Jean Rivier translate to John River?
-
~~~CONTINUED MAJOR MIRACLE VIBES, XYLOPHONES, & GLOCKENSPIELS~~~ for BK!!!!!!!!!!
-
We don't want there to be hell toupee.
-
In the meanwhile, heaven can wait.
-
Good morning, all!
-
DR TCB is alive! I am so happy to know he's still around.
-
BK, whatever happened to Daniel Bellusci? Have he and Kritzerland parted ways?
-
I vaguely remember liking How the West Was Won.
-
DR Rodzinski, when did you abandon us New Yorkers? My last memory of seeing you was at a buis stop.
-
On This Day in 1931, the Star-Spangled Banner became our National Anthem.
-
This is a heavy ballet weekend. I lose Monday and Tuesday for the cataract surgery, so I would like top get through the tango by Sunday night.
-
~~~SURGERY & RECOVERY VIBES~~~ in advance for our dear DR elmore3003!!!!!!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Speaking of ballet, I usher for Alice in Wonderland tonight.
-
I had the recurring dream where I was at this huge restaurant compound and couldn’t figure out how to leave. I kept making wrong turns or couldn’t get to where my car was parked.
-
Up and at ‘em.
-
Good morning
-
I need to leave for work so a quick Wordle and run
-
Wordle 622 3/6
🟨⬜⬜⬜🟨
⬜🟨🟩⬜🟩
🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
-
I don't know how anyone can do Wordle quickly. Whenever I try it, it seems to take me a long time.
-
Meet you at the footpath...
-
One of my favorite theater experiences was playing a member of the barbershop quartet in a production of The Music Man.
-
:)
-
Good morning, all.
-
I will absolutely watch that Meredith Willson documentary.
-
Did I ever report back on the PBS documentary about the spirituals concert?
A fine documentary, and the music is fabulous. Battle and Norman are in top form, as are the supporting chorus and instrumental soloists - Hubert Laws on flute, Nancy Allen on harp, Sylvia Olden-Lee on piano (I didn't know all of these, I'm reading off the recording). The talking heads are great, especially Evelyn Simpson-Curenton who contributes plenty.
There's an awful lot of Peter Gelb, but he was a producer of that telecast before joining the Met. It's hilarious when he alludes to Battle "having had some personal demons to fight" (I'm paraphrasing) in the quickest passing mention you can imagine. There was also a guy on the podium who received not so much as a passing mention, or even a credit. Looked familiar, though. The concert itself was issued on VHS but it looks like it has never made it to DVD. But the documentary is well worth seeing.
-
Also, re Battle's "personal demons":
Since I usually separate the art from the artist, I have to say that the Met telecast video of these two ladies in Strauss's Ariadne auf Naxos is essential viewing. Pure magic. Those performances will pop off the screen right into your lap. I hold that one on a level with the Zeffirelli Falstaff.

That Ariadne is one for the ages. Perhaps the best Met production I watched during the pandemic.

Two!

Good morning!

Wordle and Phoodle in 3.
-
Wordle: 4/6
-
It was great to see TCB back!
-
I don't know how anyone can do Wordle quickly. Whenever I try it, it seems to take me a long time.
Silly rabbit, there’s no need to talk of speed. Your own pace, glacial though it be, is fine.
-
All this talk of classical music and opera.......I certainly think when it comes to culture, HHW is one of the first hogs to the trough.
-
Thanks to MR BK for the shout out in the notes. I know that Paul MD'd at least two very popular and very well received SS shows when he was in Indy......Assassins & Company.....and there may have been more.
Company was running upstairs when I was directing a show downstairs and we got to hear a lot of it going on.....it was sublime.
-
Rest vibes for MR BK.
-
Ballet vibes for DR ELMORE.
-
Rainy rainy day here today....and windy. But that's okay.
I have two cars in case I have to make a quick getaway.
-
Well the judge gave Alex Murdaugh quite the smack down this morning......I'm sure it will be on the inner web if you want to see it....sentence was TWO LIFE SENTENCES to run CONSECUTIVELY!
Of course Alex stood up and said he didn't do it.....HA!
-
Well we will be recording four episodes of Conversations With Jack on March 15......and then we'll do four more during the season....
-
TOD:
Not much. I'm way behind on movie watching. Got a stack of things ready to enjoy.
Been listening to this CD in the car, in anticipation of the performance I'm seeing on Sunday. Enjoying following the score, and thank God for my 1965-bought Modern Library Six Plays by Rodgers & Hammerstein, because I'd never even read ALLEGRO. (I sure didn't know how to care for a dust jacket back then, but I'm glad I have it, and the book is near perfect.)
-
Last night's dream began in a spot I haven't been to in a decade or more, the parking area at the Danbury Mall at the end where Sears once reigned supreme, where you'd take your car for tires or a battery, and where I most often parked when just going into Sears. The dream location then kind of morphed into an airport terminal parking area, which makes sense for the dream, but it very definitely started as that Sears parking area.
So just now I'm glancing at my Facebook feed, and there's the local newspaper with a link to their article today: "Target is planning a new entrance plaza and a redesigned parking lot for its new two-level store at the mall". I'd heard that they're taking over much of the original Sears section, but not that they'd be expanding into that parking area. Like I said, I haven't been there in years, nor have I given it any thought lately. I was sad when Sears gave up the ghost (just as I was for Montgomery Ward and many many others that have bought the farm these past couple of decade), but that was some time ago.
So now I have this dream about that very location, or micro location, then see the news story about that very spot just hours later. After all of these years. Hmm...
-
It looks like The Group Rep has got a stage version of Harold and Maude up on the boards. Intriguing.
-
I have that book, DR ChasSmith! I'll have to dig it out.
-
And the recording, too.
-
And that opera. Dang it! Not enough time.
-
Good morning.
-
It looks like The Group Rep has got a stage version of Harold and Maude up on the boards. Intriguing.
Not the musical version?
-
Maybe your dream is prescient DR CHAS SMITH.
After all Tuesday, March 7, does portend new and important things for us all.
-
Brisk, lively, merry and bright
Allegro
Same tempo morning and night

-
Good afternoon
-
So far so good.

Nice picture, Singdaw!
-
Let’s get off this page.
-
One more
-
Three!
-
DR John G., it does not appear to be the musical version.
-
I'm up, I'm up - almost eight hours of sleep.
-
Nasty text I didn't need to start the damn day.
-
Got through e-mails.
-
Have to go to the nearby branch of my bank to deposit two small checks.
-
They might buy me a dinner somewhere.
-
What is this page three malarkey?
-
I'm happy to say that apparently I've had some effect on that idiot Christo Aivalis' YouTube channel - there are now four or five others calling him out on his BS. I figured out how he's manipulating the number of views, I know that half of the "you're doing great" comments are his own sock puppet accounts, and his new game to make even more money and get more views on each video is to have them up for eight hours, then, and you won't believe it, change the headline to another lying click-bait bunch of BS so everyone thinks it's a new video. Thankfully, I always mention the headline in my comment so people can see what he's doing.
-
Beetlejuice and Six are among the tours coming to San Antonio in the next year. And a play version of Clue.
-
I only have radisheyes for you.
-
I only have radisheyes for you.
I’d eat that.
-

He has one with the title, "Donald Trump Has SEVERE HEART ATTACK" and there's nothing about anyone having a heart attack, let alone tRump! :o
-
That one is really obvious. If it was true it would be all over the news.
-
That one is really obvious. If it was true it would be all over the news.
Exactly!
-
Why doesn't someone invent a clear toaster, so you can see how toasted your toast is, while it's toasting?
-
These are the things I ponder.
-
DR singdaw that is a great MUSIC MAN photo.
I love evidence photos of the theatrical exploits of the dear readers of HHW!
-
We are keeping musical theatre alive in our various locations around the country.
-
Why doesn't someone invent a clear toaster, so you can see how toasted your toast is, while it's toasting?
I am laughing but it is a great idea.
-
OMFG!
DeSantis appointee to new Disney oversight board suggested tap water could turn people gay (https://www.cnn.com/2023/03/03/politics/kfile-ron-desantis-disney-ron-peri-anti-lgbtq)
-
DR GEORGE that clears a lot of things up.
-
Banking done. Food ordered from Uncle Andre's - fried catfish - haven't had that in months.
-
How can we still be on page three?
-
I need NAMES.
-
Who is responsible for page three.
-
At this time of day yet.
-
Yet at this time of day.
-
We should be on page six.
-
And yet, we're on page three and yes gaslighting is going on.
-
Someone is having sport with us.
-
Finally! Now, get me off this damn page quickly.
-
I don't want to see this damn page anymore.
-
I'm quite tired of this page.
-
Quite.
-
This page is boring me to tears.
-
Where in tarnation IS everyone?
-
What is this, a Friday or something?
-
That's a heavy traffic day but not here.
-
Here there is no traffic.
-
I see Jrand is the only one who's even here.
-
And he is in silent mode.
-
I, however, am not in silent mode.
-
I will not be cowed, I will not be stopped, I will not allow this lowly page to stand and I don't care who knows it.
-
I'm very hungry and hopefully the catfish is swimming over here now.
-
Of course, cat fishing has a whole new meaning now.
-
That headline from ol' Christo is so typical and I hate his whiny, sickening voice, and if you watch his stuff, all he's doing, no matter what the BS headline says, is regurgitating the same thing over and over and over again, while 90% of the video is clips he's "borrowed" from elsewhere. But it's they way he's getting all his views - totally bogus and very obvious manipulation.
-
OMFG!
DeSantis appointee to new Disney oversight board suggested tap water could turn people gay (https://www.cnn.com/2023/03/03/politics/kfile-ron-desantis-disney-ron-peri-anti-lgbtq)
I read that as gray. While still ridiculous, it is more likely than what he said.
-
DR GEORGE that clears a lot of things up.
:))
-
I can't stand him and his new ploy of changing the headline after a few hours so more people will click through thinking it's a new video - every click like that counts as a "view" and he makes money. He should be run out of town on a rail, but he's in Canada so no can do. And YouTube clearly doesn't care what he's doing.
-
Nope, order being prepared, but no one's there to get it yet.
-
So, hunger will continue.
-
And so will this page, apparently.
-
I still see Jrand and Jane.
-
But I don't see posts, save for Jane's last two.
-
It is still light here at 6:09 p.m. and that is a good thing.
-
I am waiting for RuPaul's Drag Race and On Patrol Live to Start.
-
I probably won't have food until four.
-
Most annoying.
-
The Minnesota Timberwolves do not play until 10:30 p.m.
-
I'm waiting for fried catfish.
-
Speaking of fried catfish - page five has arrived.
-
It sure has.
-
I'm not that interested in page five.
-
I got a nice program and newspapers clippings from the 1980 production of Morning's At Seven from EBAY.
It was delivered today. Very nice.
-
I have read the facts about estrogen, however, if it was increasing the number of gay men then wouldn't that same theory reduce the number of women who are lesbians. Of course that wasn't mentioned.
-
Page six is more interesting to me.
-
Dasher is at Uncle Andre's waiting for the order - that's good news.
-
DR JANE is dealing in scientific facts.
-
Good news that is.
-
Maybe by page six food will be here - it's a ten-minute drive.
-
I am hungry but I do not expect any fried catfish.
-
I will probably have leftover pizza and a hot dog for dinner.
-
I, myself, am a ten-minute drive. My two sides with the catfish are: potato salad and a small corn on the cob.
-
I find eating corn on the cob most amusing.
-
I am so easily amused.
-
I am so easily assimilated.
-
Name that show.
-
Show that name.
-
Name that tune.
-
I can name that tune in three notes.
-
Dasher is on his way and interestingly just literally passed my old house on Shadyglade.
-
Should be here in about five minutes or so, hopefully.
-
Because I'm starving.
-
I see Jrand and Jane, the two J's - and yet I don't see posts.
-
Are we even close to page six?
-
Is gaslighting going on here?
-
Yes or no?
-
Will we get to page six pre catfish?
-
The answer is - yes!
-
Now the answer is yes!
-
Page six has made its entrance.
-
And none too soon.
-
None but the lonely heart.
-
DR JANE is dealing in scientific facts.
Logical facts ;)
-
I see Jrand and Jane, the two J's - and yet I don't see posts.
Umm, yes there were posts :)
-
My book group is discussing The Elephant Whisperer for our March meeting.
-
Even though I won't be here I read the book as it sounded good, which it is.
-
Two things I learned confirmed my experience in Botswana with the bull elephant that walked up to me.
-
One, I was right to be relieved the nice, but rather loud group, that had been in our jeep the last two days were still sleeping. If they had been with us things might have turned out differently.
-
Fortunately I could trust Keith & our guide to stay silent even though they had no idea what was happening at the back of the jeep while they were watching the heard mourn the baby elephant that had died :(
-
Two, that I did not imagine I communicated with the elephant, and he really did nod his acceptance to me.
-
WFO was in good spirits tonight
-
He thanks you for the continued vibes
-
WFO was in good spirits tonight
Wonderful :)
-
He thanks you for the continued vibes
I hope he is continues to improve every day.
-
DR GEORGE that clears a lot of things up.
Unfortunately. :P
-
I am so easily assimilated.
Name that show.
Candide.
-
Look what I just did! ;D
-
And now, it's almost finished. I just need to patch the holes from the original mirror and paint over those. I do have more of that brown paint.
-
Eventually I'll get new flooring, but that's way down the line.
-
Look what I just did! ;D
It looks great. I like the mirror, and you also look good.
-
And now, it's almost finished. I just need to patch the holes from the original mirror and paint over those. I do have more of that brown paint.
It is easy to imagine the what it will look like after the holes are filled. At least you don't need to match the paint for the small amount you will need.
-
Eventually I'll get new flooring, but that's way down the line.
I would guess so, otherwise you would have done the floor before installing the cabinet ;)
-
From what I can see the floor looks ok.
-
Is this the best of all possible catfish?
-
Lookin' good, DR George!
-
Doing kitchen tasks and listening to The Wailin' Jennys.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enjzgJDETwM
-
We can move this along.
-
With a post or two.
-
SEVEN!
-
Seven come eleven.
-
That's what I'M talkin' about.
-
Catfish, corn, and potato salad, all good.
-
Of course, now I have a sweet tooth and nothing here at all to satisfy it. Damn them, damn them all to HELL. May have to order something sweet.
-
Sweet is neat.
-
Sweet can't be beat.
-
Just direct your feet
-
To the candy shop down the street.
-
It will make you feel complete.
-
You don't have to be discreet.
-
You can even be effete.
-
Toot suite.
-
Do they eat catfish on catfish row?
-
If you give a cat a cookie...
-
We'll stay all night and we'll sing 'em all!
-
I've got a long day tomorrow.
-
A family funeral out of town.
-
And then a burial.
-
For someone who is an ultra conservative and believed I am damned to hell.
-
But I will go to support the remaining family members anyway.
-
And I will light a candle.
-
BK must be in a catfish coma.
-
Or maybe he went out for a sweet.
-
One could go out for a sour.
-
Hot and sour soup, for example.
-
I wonder if there's such a thing as sweet and sour soup.
-
It would have a bipolar vibe.
-
Or a vipolar bibe.
-
Off this page!
-
EIGHT!
-
Not too late.
-
Of course, now I have a sweet tooth and nothing here at all to satisfy it. Damn them, damn them all to HELL. May have to order something sweet.
I would have been better off if I didn't have anything in the house to satisfy my sweet tooth today.
-
If you give a cat a cookie...
;D
-
A family funeral out of town.
:(
-
For someone who is an ultra conservative and believed I am damned to hell.
Oh, and you are still going. You are a good person.
-
And I will light a candle.
;D
-
Good evening.
-
We spent the morning at the park, then went to a buffet for lunch. I got to have my favorite meat loaf and some chicken livers.
-
Luckily, Grandpa is the favored person, so he got to do all the running around at the park.
-
While Mommy and Grandma sat.
-
Luckily, Grandpa is the favored person, so he got to do all the running around at the park.
:)
-
While Mommy and Grandma sat.
I love it.
-
Look what I just did! ;D
That looks really nice, George! Well done!
-
Singdaw, you are a good man to be support of the family .
-
'night
-
Good night, friends.
-
So many delightful posts up on which to catch!
-
There are many nice things about living in an exclave, but one difficult thing is for anything medical, we have to cross through Canada back to the rest of Washington to where the real docs are. So I’m just returning from taking Mrs Rodzinski to an eye appointment. We stopped and had Thai at our favorite spot in Blaine, which is the first U.S. town before the border (or after, depending on which way you’re going).
-
George, that sink looks swell. By the way, a commode replacement is one of the easier plumbing tasks, probably easier than the sink affair.
-
Back from the ballet. Alice went down the rabbit hole and met George and TCB there. It was interesting.
-
None of them posted.
-
Actually the show was a lot of fun and didn’t wear its welcome out.
-
Pretty full house.
-
I’m now listening to the backer’s audition for I Love My Wife, a score I’ve always enjoyed.
-
Someone Wonderful I Missed is an all-time favorite.
-
The album includes Cy Coleman singing other songs from shows like Atlantic City.
-
I’m fading.
-
It’s been a long day.
-
But first.
-
Nine!
-
Rodzinski, what inspired you to move across the country?
-
I laid down to watch some television and fell asleep.
-
Nice mirror DR GEORGE.
-
I really like corn on the cob, but I can't eat it with my store bought choppers.
-
Watching what's left of On Patrol Live......
-
Had a little slice of cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory.
-
Watched a bit of Dario Argento's 2012 version of Dracula - pretty bad and shot on digital, which does not play to Argento's atmospheric way of shooting. Edited by - drum roll - Marshall Harvey. As I recall, he got to go to italy for a month or so.
-
I can't say page ten is close.
-
But there's still lots o' time.
-
Listening to music.
-
Norman Dello Joio - can't really get enough of his wonderful music and we have at least two more all Dello Joio albums coming on Kritzerland. I have a great story to tell in the notes that recently happened on the film score message board, a wonderfully touching story as opposed to the nonsensical crap we always have to go through with the stalker.
-
Look what I just did! ;D
It looks great. I like the mirror, and you also look good.
Thanks, Jane!
-

I would guess so, otherwise you would have done the floor before installing the cabinet ;)
Exactly. ::)
-
From what I can see the floor looks ok.
Actually, from where the front feet are to back under the cabinet, there's no vinyl, just bare cement. I'd eventually like to redo the whole floor on my bottom level...that bathroom, the entrance, the kitchen and the whole living room in one kind of flooring.
-
Lookin' good, DR George!
Thanks, Singdaw!
-
If you give a cat a cookie...
;D
-
And I will light a candle.
That's really cool!
-
Look what I just did! ;D
That looks really nice, George! Well done!
Thanks, Vixmom!
-

Rodzinski, is there any ferry that goes from Point Roberts to maybe Bellingham without having to drive through Canada?
-
George, that sink looks swell. By the way, a commode replacement is one of the easier plumbing tasks, probably easier than the sink affair.
Thanks, Rodzinski! But there's still no way I'm learning how to change out a commode. :P
-
Back from the ballet. Alice went down the rabbit hole and met George and TCB there. It was interesting.
:o
-
I’m now listening to the backer’s audition for I Love My Wife, a score I’ve always enjoyed.
I have that recording (https://castalbums.org/recordings/I-Love-My-Wife-1976-Backers-Audition/12651/). I really enjoy the score, too. :)
-
Nice mirror DR GEORGE.
Thanks, Jrand!
-

That's too bad about the digital shooting, but pretty cool about Marshall Harvey!
-

Can't wait to read the story...and for the upcoming CDs!
-
Will they be next, or down the road a little/a lot?
-
Still page nine.
-
But I think we can rectify that.
-
Well, tomorrow's going to be a day!
-
Yes, I think we can rectify that.
-
And so we have rectified that and page ten has made its entrance.
-
Did George escape to a rabbit hole?
-
I've been writing notes.
-
That's what I've been doing.
-
First, I'm going to my first music rehearsal for Sunday in the Park with George! ;D
-
What?
-
Shouldn't George be playing George?
-
And?
-
If.
-
When?
-
George and I are the only ones in this topic.
-
All others have gone the way of snickerdoodle.
-
Any time now.
-
The Trouble with Angels.
-
Then.
-
Soon.
-
I promise.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
