Well, you've read the notes, the notes were discombobulated, and now it is time for you to post until the discombobulated cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: JUNOESQUE!
-
~~~Continued Major Miracle Vibes for BK!!~~~
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Nice to see the late night visits by DR TCB and by DR DR Iris.
-
~~~CONTINUED MAJOR MIRACLE VIBES, XYLOPHONES, & GLOCKENSPIELS~~~ for BK!!!!!!!
-
I myself would not like a discombobulated day.
-
A discomjimulated day, on the other hand...
-
Bob's your uncle.
-
Jim, on the other hand, is just the hired help.
-
Jungle Jim, they sometimes call him.
-
I don't really know what I'm going on about.
-
As opposed to a gadabout.
-
Or gadaboot, as they might say in Canada.
-
Canadian boots.
-
It's about a boot.
-
Interesting....
-
Good morning, all!
-
After two bad nights of sleep, I slept extremely well. I turned off the lights at 8:30 and decided I would
sleep as long as I wanted. At 6:00 I decided 9.5 hours was enough.
-
DR Jeanne, no eyepatch amd in about a month I will see Dr. Wong about a prescription for new glasses. I am now far-sighted, where I was near-sighted before.
-
I am not seeing out of my right eye as well as I did yesterday, but I will trust my doctors for the next week and see howe the healing goes.
-
DR George, Julie was a Christine Daae replacement in Phantom of the Opera. Brad Little was our juvenile lead in the Houston Grand Opera's 1991 production of Babes in Toyland. Sadly, his audition was his finest performance. "Becca" might be Rebecca Luker, but their times at POTO are so different I suspect that ther Becca on your poster is not my beloved Rebecca.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I slept okay, but not enough. I think it’s from being back on a decongestant.
-
Voice is still faint.
-
~~~CONTINUED MAJOR MIRACLE VIBES, XYLOPHONES, & GLOCKENSPIELS~~~ for BK!!!!!!!
Couldn’t have said it better.
-
Had dinner with friends last night who convinced me to make my tuna salad as traditionally as possible since it is for a potluck. So, canned tuna, celery, pickle, onion, mayo and maybe a splash of lemon with salt and pepper.
-
The potluck is tonight.
-
Wordle and Phoodle in 2.
-
One to grow on
-
Two!
-
Good morning
-
I fell asleep right after dinner and overslept this morning and still feel tired
-
I’ll attempt a quick Wordle before work
That's pretty much my go-to. For the pickle component, I use a sugar-free sweet relish.
-
BK, that's interesting about Miceli's. An iconic place, if you will, but I don't know if I ever went in there.
-
"Sadly, his audition was his finest performance."
Thank you, DR Elmore. I daresay we all know a few candidates for this epitaph.
-
:)
-
Major miracle vibes for MR BK.
-
Continued vibes for DR IRIS.
Yes.....that is a fitting epitaph for some performers I have been involved with.....onstage, that is.....
Finishing the house vibes for DR RODZINSKI.
One might almost say...
...he's the MASTER OF THE HOUSE.
-
The Mrs. Lovett starter set?
-
Any disappearances from the orphanage lately?
-
I was sitting here waiting for notification of this zoom session to begin, when I figured out it's for noon PACIFIC time.
Well, that's fine. It don't make no never mind to me.
This day is flying by like a gazelle singing "Through the Eyes of Love."
-
The theme from Ice Castles.
-
Just to clarify.
-
This is Koda, my work colleague's dog. He just came back from a 2 week boot camp and apparently is completely changed. For the better.
-
And another work colleague's cats, Oreo & Shadow. The are sort of mirror images of each other. They fight over laying on the router, which is warm. I suggested buying two electric heating pads.
-
DR John I hope your sister is staying warm.
-
From DR Rodzinsky:
Was at one hardware store we bought paint from this summer, looking for the same kind of white we had used then. I assumed they kept our info on file like most paint stores do. The gruff old dude working there says, “We couldn’t keep people’s info like that. We’d need a computer as big as the sun!” Ok, buddy.
:o
-
DR Rodzinsky, did you save your paint can with the code on it? We always keep extra cans for touch ups, and for the info to match the paint. If not, they should still be able to match it to a chip from your wall.
-
From DR George:
Here's the print in a simple "certificate" frame (it's 8½x11):
It looks fantastic!
Never, ever pickles ;D
-
Pickles belong on the side so they can be given to Keith if I don't want them.
-
Or to Craig if he is around.
-
They both usually luck out as the only pickles I like, and I do enjoy them, are Kosher New Pickles.
I just had a zoom meeting with Doug about the ballet. I am really loving this collaboration with him and Phil. I worry about finishing the work on time, Doug thinks we're doing good, and Phil is already thinking about our next project.
Good afternoon!
Wordle: 5/6
-
I'm up, I'm up - seven and a half hours of sleep.
-
Having a phone call in a few minutes.
-
Quick shopping trip done.
Cokes and a couple of my favorite kinds of coffee are on sale. Which is convenient, since I need both. I might go back for more in the morning and stock up if the sale's still on.
Started a load of laundry. I'll need it for the weekend.
Tonight's my last free night before the four-night Chicago. (Dress rehearsal and 3 shows.)
My director friend has the beginnings of nodules on his vocal cords. He and his doctor are hoping that a regimen of steroids, and medicine to combat the acid reflux that these steroids can cause, combined with two weeks or more vocal rest, will do the trick. If they don't do the trick, apparently the next step is surgery. I know nothing about that kind of surgery, and I wasn't going to ask, but it sure doesn't sound like fun.
DR Rodzinsky, did you save your paint can with the code on it? We always keep extra cans for touch ups, and for the info to match the paint. If not, they should still be able to match it to a chip from your wall.
We had the can but I neglected to bring it because the paint place has all our stuff on file. Turned out this particular color came from the crotchety hardware store.
Yawn! When my friend Page Edwards was alive, we would go backstage to visit with Charles after a performance since they were old friends. When I saw Charles after Page's death, he was completely do-I-know-you-or-do-I-want-to, After three or four of the same scenario, I stopped speaking to him. He wrote some great roles for himself and his company of comedians, but he's not really a very good actor.
I hope it was local and you didn't have to drive far. Being a hardware store it explains why they don't keep a file. It doesn't explain why they are crotchety-lol
I am glad they had a place to stay. It is one thing to suffer through the outage in the summer, but not in the winter.
Wow, 100.
-
I only have one memory of him. It was at Susan's birthday party at their home. He showed us a movie. I don't even remember what the movie was ;D
-
Is there going to be an HHW Oscars party this weekend?
-
I haven't seen but one or two films that would be involved.
-
I wonder if Bert will be included in the "In Memoriam" segment.
Or without?
Good night, friends.
Good night, DR singdaw
-
With anchovies, s’il vous plait.
Watching a hilarious episode of The Mothers-in-Law. Larry Storch is a bank robber who recites Hiawatha.
-
Good night, all.
-
Sorry to hear about Mr. B.I.G. I liked him so much and for a time we were pretty close. I introduced him to what became his favorite restaurant, Genghis Cohen, after much trying, I talked him into doing the Hollywood Show and he would only do it if I sat next to him with my stuff, which I did. Daughter Susan and I were very close, I got the first copy of his book and spent a week making corrections and suggestions on how to make it look better and have the text clearer, and Susan and he did them all. More in the notes.
-
Was with Marshall Harvey for some of the afternoon and all was well there, checking sync on the lay back conformed audio tracks.
-
Came home and made a little spaghetti with red sauce here and ate that.
-
Made a Facebook page for Sami, so come and like it - just search Sami the Series. They've made inviting friends to the page almost impossible - you can't do it on the computer anymore, which is just wacko, you have to do it on the iPhone and I don't think it worked, frankly, and it only showed me about fifty names - really irritating. And it gives you the option of checking the entirety of the friend list, which I DON'T want to do.
-
So, I'm still researching it on Google to see if there's an easier way. That's the problem with Facebook - they take what's simple and effortless and "improve" it, making it nigh unto impossible to figure anything out.
-
I also finally posted the poster art for Sami and it's getting a really nice reaction.
-
Finished with my viewing.
-
Another Woody Allen movie I haven't seen since it came out - funnier than I remembered, but with the worst opening twenty minutes of any Allen movie.
-
Next, I'll try Everyone Says I Love You, which I hated and turned off originally.
-
I am intrigued by the photo posted by DR JOHN G.
-
Sad about Mr. B. I. G. who made some films that I still love.
And of course Miss Susan Gordon was beyond SPECIAL.
-
I guess one of my favorites of his films is BEGINNING OF THE END - the DVD features commentary by MR BK and Miss Susan.
Filmed in the purported mountain areas of Illinois.
I knew if I said that we'd be on page eight.
I had a Pink Martini poster that I bought at one of their concerts here in Olympia!
-
This was pre-Covid, so they all came out to the lobby to sign for anyone who wanted signatures.
-
Good times. ;D
-
Anyway, here it is:
-
I don't know from Pink Martini, but I found a window card from Sugar.
-
Gratuitous Post #222!!
-
Sugar the musical.
-
I found it.
The flower pot and flowers were actually made from felt that was glued to the poster, so it's 3-D. :)
Cool! Was it expensive, or reasonably priced?
