And the word of the day is: PULCHRITUDINOUS!
And today, I'm working concessions for the Washington Center's annual silent film series. It's among my favorite regular annual series. This time, it's A Buster Keaton Collection (https://www.washingtoncenter.org/event/23-04-02-keaton-collection/):
Experience silent films the way they were meant to be seen and heard! Celebrate the Centennial year of these classic Buster Keaton films: The Balloonatic, The Love Nest, and Our Hospitality. Our own house organist, the world-class theater organist Dennis James brings the silent era to life performing on our historic 1924 musical treasure: The Mighty Andy Crow Wurlitzer Organ. We welcome film fans of all ages to step back in time to revel in the authentically recreated sounds and nostalgia from times gone by.
Too bad about that Wim Wenders film, certainly in regard to Sam Fuller's presence. That's just sad. I'll take a pass on that.
I'm not necessarily crazy about Wenders, myself. I've never gotten into WINGS OF DESIRE, which "everyone" loves. I do like PARIS, TEXAS - but I usually like that kind of "road" movie, anyway. At least I think you can call it that. I haven't watched it in a while.

Second service vibes for DR JOHN G.

Dr. John G., the Nos. 11 and 32 were the quarter-pound and half-pound versions of one of the most luscious cheeseburgers ever to cross my lips.
It came with Russian Dressing and bacon, and I always added a scoop of chopped onions from the relish tray on the table. The flavor and juiciness of their beef was to die for, and I always ordered these medium or medium-rare for the most wonderful taste sensation ever. Not to belabor the point... :)
I discovered the Hamlet on the day I arrived in Hollywood on a one-week visit, the year before I decided to move there, and when my friend and I did move there the following summer, our first meal stop was at that Hamlet for that meal.

It's always been really good.
Hey zannah, ho zannah, zannah zannah ho!

I hope the auditions for GREASE are fun and not the chaos I imagine them to be.
There is no reason for me to be there. I'm sure there will be 40 or 50 kids ages 12 and up.....so I shall remain in my home.
Was it this model?

Since DR ELMORE is tangentially involved with SHUCKED I have change my position to "hoping for success".
We completely lucked out on the storms last night. As the line got to us, it sort of collapsed into just rain and a little wind. But it strengthened south of here and apparently hit NJ pretty hard.
Have some frosting with that cupcake, why don't you?
DR JANE must be asleep in the Orient.
most of it ended up on my shirt.
Dust jacket fixes are done and that's now completed.
DR JANE you are welcome. Get some rest.

Too much frosting but the cupcake looks good.
Where in tarnation IS everyone?Ditto.
I once wandered into a Broadway theater that had its doors open on a Sunday evening. No one seemed to be collecting tickets or anything. Turned out to be an actors preview of George Furth’s Precious Sons. Ivey and Ed Harris were amazing. The show was a shocker with Ivey’s harridan character emasculating Harris simply because she had to be right. It was electrifying. But I hear they toned it down considerably before opening.
Simple, but quite delish.
Finally experienced Fred Meyer the other day and…it’s big! Also they have many brands to choose from like the good ol days.
Delightful photos of the Journey de Jane!

How you kissed me and how we spent those windy afternoons
Racing on the dunes
Like a pair of loons
I recall what might have been
And I recall the pain
Of coming back another year to find
That springtime in the state of Maine
Is mainly a state of mind
Sadly, the guy in the Bear suit would die with other cast and crew of a David Wolper special being filmed somewhere near Mammoth Lakes in 1974.
I didn't.
I object to 60 minutes giving time and legitimacy to such a frightening clown.
And why does George ALWAYS do this - disappear right before the notes post?
Twice Jane has used “disgusting” to describe food on the boat!
The liquor is yummy.
Is Jane getting liquored up again? What's next? Cigarettes? Marijuana. The cocaine?
Excellent peanuts.
Excellent peanuts.
I got some peanuts from my sister, the little individual bags, and there's no taste to them. It's weird.
“Living on Booze and Scones”
Isn’t that a Jimmy Buffett song?

What brand?
Bulk Barn. Look it up.
These individual serving bags of peanuts came in a big box with cashews and almonds, and both of those have good flavor.
