Well, you've read the notes, the notes had the Easter bunny and the dodo bird, and now it is time for you to post until the dodo cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is? HORIZON!

Topic of the Day:
Andre's Mother
Catch Me If You Can (saw it in Seattle in its pre-Broadway run)
The Full Monty
Kiss of the Spider Woman

Good morning, friends.
-
DR vixmom, I read your posts about yesterday with ever-increasing anxiety and consternation.
-
How much can any one person bear?
-
I am glad you got through it.
-
I would not have been nearly as charitable.
-
So now that DR George has a Phase 10 app, he can play whenever his heart desires.

~~~CONTINUED SOME-KIND-OF-MIRACLE VIBES~~~ for the likes of BK!!!!!!!!!
Good morning, all!
At 5:00 it was so cold in the apartment that I decided I did not want to get up at 5:30. I turned off the alarm and snuggled in the blankets with Annabelle. She fell asleep, and I had a strange dream about working n the musical Baker Street. At 6:30 a hungry Thatch forced me to get out of bed and feed all three of them.
-
I must call Access-a-Ride for Wednesday's travel. After kitty cleanup. it's back to the ballet.
-
DR vixmom, I am so happy you survived the day without mirderign anyone.
Good morning, all.
Not ready to face the day or anything else.
-
Not a lot of quality sleep.
-
How much can any one person bear?
Ditto. Did you tell the surprise vegetarians to bring their own food next time?
-
Did the Easter miracle include a one-day reprieve from Ramadan?
-
Did the people who brought their own desserts eat those?
-
I would not have handled things well.
I kinda liked Master Class, but McNally's Maria Callas is not mine.
Frankie and Johnny is a 2-character play I didn't believe for a second, like Burn This, but I liked his screenplay for the film version.
But I would think Mediterranean next time and dishes that can be served at room temperature.
Monday morning greetings! While I prefer doing a curbside pick up, we are going to attempt an in-person grocery trip today.
I am ready to fall asleep
Fingers crossed we are not sick in the morning.
I surfed to a site where I post quite a bit about film music, and I discovered that a comment I made about two film scores yielded a personal attack on me.
Golly! This is what our society has become...a place where personal insults are hurled at folks who think differently from others.
DR vixmom--I'm sorry you had to go through all that yesterday but you told the story in a such an entertaining way that I confess it made me laugh.
Sorry that happened to you, DR Ron Pulliam.
vixmom, you are going to be rich beyond your dreams following the bidding war among the studios. I refer, of course, to next year’s highly anticipated NATIONAL LAMPOON’S EASTER DINNER.
Well, I guess it’s time to go read some news, or as much of it as I can take.
These days, for me, it's not very much.
Locally, the "news" was rather lacking the past week. Everything was about the Masters...everyone was so excited. The "news" featured different stores that were having record sales. Free advertising is what that is!
And man-on-the-street comments were rife. If it weren't for the weather forecast, it would have been a complete waste of my time.
The Masters is an economic boon in my part of the country. It's moreso in Augusta, of course, but many folks locally make a tidy sum of money renting out rooms and houses to those participating/attending the tournament.
One local caterer was hired out to cook for a house full of participants.
We are roughly 25 miles away from the Masters course.
This is my fault: Burn This is by Lanford Wilson, not Terrence McNally. I saw the original production. No Manhattan woman alone in her right mind, unless she's a prostitute, opens the door for a raging man she does not know in the middle of the night. She calls the police and has him evicted. I would have believed that play.
I really like Rachel Maddow, but...she can be very annoying at times. Tonight, she addressed a GOP move in Iowa to force raped women to go unaided in getting medical attention in order to prevent pregnancy from rape. The state used to provide care for rape victims. Now, the GOP Attorney General has apparently stopped all aid to help those women. She stated all the things that the GOP initiative was doing to women who are raped.. She repeated it, and then re-repeated it. Even though that poor horse had been beaten to a pulp, she pummeled it again...and again without stating anything new.. I had to change channels. Sometimes, it's a very effective gambit. Tonight, I found it just a bit overbearing.
Last night after coming home from Easter dinner at the in-laws, I felt chills. Could not warm up. So I got extra blankets and then ended up overheated. Then got a sinus headache. It was a long night. Today was feeling better then the chills returned. The wife swabbed me and I have tested positive for Covid. My first time! I’m sequestered on the couch now.
Never!
Rodzinski, you should test again.
It is usually a false negative, not positive.
Jane, paranoid?
For me, yes. There was good reason to be concerned about Keith. He can't buy any allergy medicine on the ship. He won't travel without it again.
Will test again in the morning.
I do hope Rodzinski was a false positive or that he gets better immediately.
