Well, you've read the notes, the notes were moving right along, and now it is time for you to post until the moving right along cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: AURORA!
-
Welcome eighty-six GUESTS!
-
Today is finally my car appointment, and hopefully they'll find or figure out what's been going on...and then actually stop it from happening again!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
It's Friday.
-
That is usually heartening news.
-
~~~CAR REPAIR VIBES~~~ for DR George.
-
~~~HEALTH VIBES~~~ for the entire Rodzinski clan.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I would have been here earlier, but I wentdown the rabbit hole to watch the Buster Keaton short that DR JohnG posted.
-
I slept very poorly last night: too many leg pains, the cats were restless, and I was, too.
-
Last night I had a huge brain fart and screwed up several pages of score, so today I will rewrite them. Life is hell somedays.
-
Good news for DRs Jeanne and Rodzinski!
-
I;m ready to go back to bed for another hour.
-
DR Jeanne - from what I've been able to gather online, tax filing deadline is Tuesday April 18 this year.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I have somehow pulled a muscle or something on my right side that fortunately is only a problem in certain sleeping positions or movements in which I’m using that muscle to turn over or lift my body up in bed. Thankfully, it’s not a concern in doing most things through the day. Such as, oh, you know, sitting at and playing a piano? Yikes. Well, I’ll be very glad when it eases up.
-
TOD: Nothing.
Should be much better next week, which is mostly free for me.
-
Good morning
-
Vibes for the Rodzinskis
-
I am glad to hear there are some silver linings in your dark clouds
-
Audition night #2 proceeded apace, with a few talented friends or acquaintances showing up, which was nice.
I even implemented my plan to make notes of anything I wanted to look up or acquire or work on later or what have you. I know the real pros do this, and I can appreciate the value of it.
-
Good news about MIL and the credit fraud nightmare
-
George how infuriating after such a long wait for your car to have it have all these issues, then on top of it the ridiculous waits for a maintenance appointment.
-
You are a patient soul, I would have stood in the middle of their sales floor on a busy weekend afternoon to loudly announce the various issues with that dealership
-
Speaking of cars, I just remembered my gas light came on as I entered the driveway last night.
-
Better Wordle then go gas up for my trip to work
-
Tonight, the grand finale - with only kids auditioning for the first two hours, followed by two hours of adults. This place usually runs four days of auditions, with one wholly for kids. That would have been Saturday morning. But this year there were conflicts so it got squeezed into the three evenings.

Audition Spanx, as it were.
-
A fine thought to start page two.
-
Kids are a big feature there. River City will no doubt be teeming with them, and I expect Gomez and Morticia’s house will be crawling with ancestors.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I would have been here earlier, but I wentdown the rabbit hole to watch the Buster Keaton short that DR JohnG posted.
I hope it was a pleasant rabbit hole.
-
More vibes for the Rodzinski clan.
-
I slept well last night. Getting the decongestant out of my system helped.
-
I have no desire to get up, however.
-
But I must. Plenty to do.
-
Wordle 3, Phoodle 2.

TOD:
More Buster Keaton shorts
Something called The O. Henry Playhouse, an anthology series starring Thomas Mitchell.
-
"Hail to the Princess Aurora!"
The very first Disney animated feature I saw in a theater was "Sleeping Beauty". Of course, when all the re-releases of the classics happened in the early 1960s, I saw each in a theater. But, "Sleeping Beauty" was my first.
And why, you must be asking, is Ron belaboring this?
Because, the word of the day is "aurora", of course. And I have zero "borealis" tales to share.
-
I have a follow-up visit with my allergist this afternoon. I do hope they find I am much improved. Not cured, no, but faring much better.
-
The lauded Patrick Page revival of King Lear is available for streaming.
https://www.shakespearetheatre.org/events/king-lear-streaming
It’s $40.
-
And I have zero "borealis" tales to share.
That you can share in mixed company, you mean.
-
Somewhere out there, it is breakfast time in America.
-
An enterprising couple attended a Sondheim-themed costume party.
One went as a merry-go-round; the other went as King Lear.
-
Would you pay $40 to see that?
-
I ask you.
-
If you ask me, it is time for all good men to come to the hearing-aids of their country.
-
I did go lie down for an hour. Stella climbed onto my bed and sat on my chest. That girl weighs a ton! I just finished kitty cleanup, but I'm moving quite slowly today. I've very tired and listless.

In the 80s here this week. Snow this weekend?

I can't keep up.
-
I can't keep upright, either.

I love to stop right
Beside an upright.

Reading the semi-caustic NY Times review of the revival of Camelot.
I did not realize that Alan Jay Lerner married 8 times.
Jesse Green writes that when he wrote "Love her, love her, love her," he may have perhaps been outside his wheelhouse.

~~~CONTINUED MIRACLE VIBES~~~ for the likes of BK!!!!!
Miracle and relaxation vibes for MR BK.
I am happy the book continuing on apace.
-
Car vibes for DR GEORGE.
Doctor visit vibes for DR Ron Pulliam.
-
Good to hear that DR RODZINSKI is getting some action on his fraud case and that his battles with THEM are moving into high gear.
And of course very happy that DR JEANNE got her document.
-
More ballet vibes for DR ELMORE.
-
I am making some pork chops.....I am doing them with some new ingredients so it is really an experiment.
I just hope it is not an experiment in terror.
The FBI is investigating Bomb Threats emailed to several schools in Indiana.
Thanks for the support, Vixmom!
I think Annabelle might disagree.
-
I am taking a break. I corrected by 16-measure mess in No.12 from yesterday and moved on. I have 26 measures left, and I'll finish up tomorrow.
-
Festive wishes to DS Molly!
-
I slaved over that cake all morning.
-
There is flour dust on every surface in my kitchen.
-
There is batter in my hair.
-
There is red dye on the counter-top.
-
But it was worth it.
If I'd known you were coming, I'd have baked a cake.
So it must be true.
-
Today my baby sister Molly is 52 years old!
A Very Happy 52nd Birthday to Baby Sister Molly! :D
-
And now that we're so close...
-
Gratuitous Post #100!! ;D
-
Gratuitous? Or Egregious?
-
;D
-
DR Jrand72, what are you doing to celebrate Molly's birthday?
-
Just went down a rabbit hole with my old Cleveland city directories. Much fun, and very lucrative, but I have to stop now.
-
I also just started sneezing like a sunnybeaches.
Got to be a combination of this unseasonal summer day, pollen, and the layers of dust that were on top of the directories. Time for a housecleaning of my STUFF.
-
Danbury Airport has just recorded our second consecutive 90-degree day in 2023.
This touched my sappy heart:
-
Today my baby sister Molly is 52 years old!
Happy birthday, Molly!
From DR Singdaw:
Has anyone ever watched the Foyle's War series? I haven't, but it sounds good.
I had meant to write that as my top pick yesterday. Yes, watched it and loved it.
-
I agree with John that Michael Kitchen is great as Foyle.
-
DR Rodzinski are you no longer having covid symptoms?
-
CONTINUED VIBES FOR THE RODZINSKI FAMILY!
The Pence picture is pretty killer.
Congrats on the excellent credit news.
Ouch, but thankfully it isn't worse.
-
George how infuriating after such a long wait for your car to have it have all these issues, then on top of it the ridiculous waits for a maintenance appointment.
Especially when the car is basically new.
-
I have a follow-up visit with my allergist this afternoon. I do hope they find I am much improved. Not cured, no, but faring much better.
Fingers crossed.
I'm not a total pushover (usually), but I'll admit (confess?) that I'm not the kind to make too much of a fuss, even when I probably should. ::)
In this case, I hope you insist they keep the car until it is fixed.
-
Today my baby sister Molly is 52 years old!
Happy birthday to Molly.
-
Good news from DR Jeanne. I too have a document that finally arrived last week.
-
I hope there will soon be good news regarding DR George's car.
-
It's official, I have Keith's cold.
-
While not happy, I am grateful it waited until today.
-
BK - I can't keep track of all your box sets, but were you aware of this one: Eugene Ormandy with the Minneapolis Symphony?
~~~COMFORT AND SPEEDY RECOVERY VIBES~~~ for both DR Jane and DH Keith!!!!!

I'm up, i'm up - nine and a half hours of very needed sleep.

I've had the Ormandy box in my Amazon cart since it was announced. I'll get it at some point.

Those are so funny! ;D
-
Happy Birthday to Molly!
-
But the fingers on Rhonda Santy's first picture are freaky! The hands are joined to each other! :o
-
But, that's AI for you, I guess. ::)
-
Not to get political, but in this YouTube short...SE Cupp says 'no one should care' about GOP outrage over Trump indictment (https://youtube.com/shorts/nuU9l6cnEzc?feature=share).
Exactly.
-
No one should care.
-
~~~COMFORT AND SPEEDY RECOVERY VIBES~~~ for both DR Jane and DH Keith!!!!!
Thank you.
-
So far I am not as bad as Keith was. The 24 hour trip home was pretty hard on him.
-
We went for a walk and the fresh air felt good.
-
It is hard for me to look at the computer.
-
I'm sure it's a bit of a challenge re-adjusting to normal life, especially if you're not feeling 100%.
-
Feel better vibes for DR JANE.
-
Happy birthday Molly!
-
Thanks to everyone for the wishes for Molly.
She is sick today, so I will not be able to see her. It's not Covid.
I have her a cake - not as pretty as the one DR singdaw worked so hard to make - and I bought her a nice desk organizer.
She will get both eventually - this weekend.
-
I liked that picture and sentiment DR ELMORE.
-
Those Drag Queen Republicans were pretty.....pretty scary.
-
I didn't have any pork seasoning, so I baked my pork chops using Beer Can Chicken seasoning. And I baked them on a bed of sweet corn kernels.
Didn't turn out too bad. Although I am sure the REAL chefs on HHW will shake their heads.
-
It rained very hard for about six minutes....now it has stopped.
-
Apparently, it rained last night.
-
I didn't hear it.
-
I didn't see it.
-
Food on its way - another 40% off sandwich, an Eyetalian thing.
-
Why not?
-
I would have had their Philly cheesesteak, but it hasn't been that good that last couple of times.
-
I almost did Jack in the Box again, but I didn't want any fried food and the onion rings qualify and the tacos, of course, are dripping in oil.
-
Dripping In Oil - that's the title of my next novel.
-
I'm not really doing anything today, other than finessing the commentary, which I'll do later.
-
Book is already with the folks who assemble all its parts. I'll probably have a galley early next week.
-
I slept like a log and I probably could have slept another two hours easily.
-
I tried several times to buy a ticket for tonight’s philharmonic concert. But the website wasn’t working. And it’s too much of a hassle to try in person.
-
I may go to the movies instead.
-
BK - I can't keep track of all your box sets, but were you aware of this one: Eugene Ormandy with the Minneapolis Symphony?
Looks nice.
-
I heard back from the Philharmonic. Their ticket purchasing doesn’t work on iPhones. Gee. I would consider that a problem, wouldn’t you?
-
That stinks, DR John G.
-
It doesn't seem like they can afford to be turning folks away.
-
~~~FEEL BETTER VIBES~~~ for DS Molly!!!!!
-
Maybe DR Ron Pulliam will let us know how his medical appointment went.
-
When one reads a galley, does one have to "ARRRGH!" like a pirate?
-
Ahoy, me maties!
-
Swab the decks!
-
Hoist the mizzenmast!
-
Walk the plank!
-
Mutiny on the bounty!
-
I think that exhausts my depot of pirate stereotypes.
-
Oh: "X" marks the spot.
-
Can't forget that one.
-
Gaslighting.
-
Seven.
-
Going on nineteen.
-
I'm sure it's a bit of a challenge re-adjusting to normal life, especially if you're not feeling 100%.
True. My eyes and head hurt.

Feel better vibes for DR JANE.
Thank you.

Yup.
-
Maybe DR Ron Pulliam will let us know how his medical appointment went.
I do hope so, and that the news is good.
-
I had just fallen asleep for a much need nap when we received a text.
-
Back and forth in a three way conversation and my nap was over.
-
I couldn't ignore the text though as Keith's uncle was in the ER. I think by now he has been admitted.
-
They were doing tests, beginning with an ultrasound.
-
I did come down and bought a $30 ticket. I’m the only one in the row apparently.
-
I couldn't ignore the text though as Keith's uncle was in the ER. I think by now he has been admitted.
Vibes for Keith’s uncle.
-
Stopped in a nearby steakhouse for a quick appetizer.
-
The negroni could be better.
-
The tuna appetizer is wan.
-
I'm glad you're going to the concert, DR John G.
-
Wan tuna or no.
-
Sorry about DH Keith's uncle.
-
Only
the lonely one more.
-
Lucky #200.
-
With 200, you get 33.33 egg rolls.
-
Going on nineteen.
Gag. You singing Nazi.
-
And not a wan tuna among them.
-
I hope the soprano soloist for the Barber is not a wan tuna.
-
On the program: Berber’s Adagio for strings, Mozart’s Bella mia fiamma, addio, Barber’s Knoxville: Summer of 1915 and Mozart’s 40th.
-
I wanna tuna hold your hand.
-
A hit by the Beatles.
-
The soprano is Vanessa Becerra.
-
Sounds like a great program, DR John G.
-
Vanessa Becerra is on the more recent recording of Corigliano's The Ghosts of Versailles.
-
Eight.
-
The Mississippi River is flooding some streets near downtown Saint Paul.
-
This has happened a few times in the past 10 years.

I couldn't ignore the text though as Keith's uncle was in the ER. I think by now he has been admitted.
Vibes for Keith’s uncle.

Reading the semi-caustic NY Times review of the revival of Camelot.
I did not realize that Alan Jay Lerner married 8 times.
Jesse Green writes that when he wrote "Love her, love her, love her," he may have perhaps been outside his wheelhouse.
Astute observation. Not usual for the likes of Mr. Green.
And yet…a little bit of a low blow.
-
DR Rodzinski are you no longer having covid symptoms?
Yeah, I’m good. I mainly only had one symptom: chills.
-
With 200, you get 33.33 egg rolls.
Hearty chuckle!
-
Vibes of health repaid to Jane and family.
-
I mainly only had one symptom: chills.
And not the good kind.
-
So the weekend is upon us.
-
I have plans to be lazy.
-
Lazy is as lazy does.
-
Tonight, I watched The Red Balloon, which I had not seen since grade school.
-
It has been lo many years now.
-
More than I care to count.
-
Does a Countess count?
-
As I read the nigh-universal negative reviews of Camelot, the thought occurred to me that maybe this patient could never have been saved.
-
I would call it my favorite musical if going by sheer number of songs I love. Grew up adoring my parents’ cast album and reading the story in the gatefold and extra mini-paper flap of cast notes. Seeing tv commercials ad infinitum when Richard Burton toured it into Chicago in like 1980…
When I finally saw a production in 1985 at the Fabulous Fox theatre in ATL, starring Richard Harris, I was… underwhelmed with how the story played out. Saw a limited production at Lincoln Center many years later and it was Zzzzz.
It either needed to be like the 4-hour epic it briefly was, or none of the drama works. Now to take the songs, shoehorn in some Sorkin-isms, make up new motivations….An exercise in futility.
The one brief shining moment may exist only on the Original Cast LP on Columbia Records.
-
It's official, I have Keith's cold.
I read that as. “ I have Keith’s child”.
Well that’s old news I thought, and surely there are 2 of them…
-
I didn't have any pork seasoning, so I baked my pork chops using Beer Can Chicken seasoning. And I baked them on a bed of sweet corn kernels.
Didn't turn out too bad. Although I am sure the REAL chefs on HHW will shake their heads.
I’m a fake chef but I swear by Penzey’s pork chop season and cooking the chops in the air fryer. I like to cook little new potatoes in the air fryer till they’re just getting brown and then put the pork chops on top of them while they all cook together
-
Health vibes for Jane, Keith and Keith’s uncle
-
Recovery vibes for the ailing Rodzinskis
-
Have the ants been eradicated?
-
I’ve never seen Camelot live but I always loved the movie
-
Vixmom, meant to ask, did Micky tell any new stories, or was it all music?
-
Ants are feeding on the Terra, so they are around, but that’s good. Want them eating and bringing the poison to the Queen. Otherwise she’ll keep making more ants.
-
Health update: DD is much better today, and that’s the best news. Mrs. Rodz had a bad day, but improved over the last couple hours. MIL in hospital, in pain. FIL now with Covid but home. Son doing fine, unfazed by ants.
-
Vibes of health repaid to Jane and family.
Thank you.

-
Night Jane!
-
I'm out of things to say.
-
Shocking, I know.
-
Good night, friends.
-
Concert over and I am home.
-
Very tired. Headed to bed soon.
-
Listening to a thriller called Rock Paper Scissors. Folks at work loved it. I’m okay with it. Whelmed, but neither over nor under.
-
I saw a video of bloopers/outtakes from the Partridge Family and Bruce can be seen briefly at the 10:15 mark or so. https://youtu.be/HWwbS79CKxc
-
My visit with my allergist went very well. I did well on my tests, and the allergist was pleased. I am to continue with my regimen and see her again in six weeks.
I treated myself to a trip to CostCo where I did a bit of splurging on non-necessities, but nothing extreme.
-
Interesting evening so far. After the sandwich - not as good as usual - I sat on my couch and decided to check out transfers on a few movies I'd saved to watch on the Firestick. I turned on Planet of the Vampires, watched the credits and the first minute and then fell asleep. Other than waking up a couple of times during it for mere seconds then falling back asleep, I was out for all ninety minutes. It was seven-thirty then. Then for unknown reasons, I got into bed and fell asleep for another hour. This on top of almost ten hours of sleep. I'd say I needed the ketchup sleep.
-
I'm recently watched the Partridge blooper reel but it was only up the The End. Hadn't seen the second half and there I was indeed. Interestingly, there were several bloopers from The Last of Howard episode, but none with me.
-
I do remember going to a wrap partay for one of the seasons and they showed a blooper real. Hadn't remembered that until seeing this.
-
I saw a video of bloopers/outtakes from the Partridge Family and Bruce can be seen briefly at the 10:15 mark or so. https://youtu.be/HWwbS79CKxc
Nice find!
-
I feel like a blooper right now.
-
I feel that there's no one in the jernt.
-
I must write some notes.
-
The jernt isn’t jumping?
-
Hammersmith is Out
Will there ever be a sequel?
-
The cast of the Partridge Family seem so much more fun in that clip than their characters on the scripted show.
-
Where in tarnation is George. Down some damn rabbit hole again?
-
Just when you need him, he's down some damn rabbit hole.
-
Not good.
-
Not right.
-
Not left.
-
No TCB. I remember the glory days of not so long ago when TCB never missed a day of being with us.
-
And here we are, stuck on nine.
-
I guess I’ll continue watching Derailroaded, the bio of Wild Man Fischer on YouTube.
-
Four over four HOURS, I may add have have added.
-
Page ten, at long last. And I'm jiggy with that.
-
I really am.
-
I see vixmom. What is she doing up at this hour on the East Coast.
-
Listening to music.
-
Are you?
-
I am.
-
And I don't care who knows it.
-
Ten
-
I was looking for Dominic Frontiere’s Hammersmith is Out soundtrack.
-
Is George still at Costco?
-
Is there a Costco in Cos Cob?
-
I didn't have any pork seasoning, so I baked my pork chops using Beer Can Chicken seasoning. And I baked them on a bed of sweet corn kernels.
Didn't turn out too bad. Although I am sure the REAL chefs on HHW will shake their heads.
Speaking of recipes, has anyone seen this frozen meatball...concoction?? :o

Well, the dealer auto shop wasn't able to find out what was wrong with my car. ::)
-
They drove it around a couple of times, and of course the error lights didn't come on.
-
Popcorn is made.
-
They've only come on two or three times in the last couple of months, and if you turn your car on and off three times, the history of said error messages in the car's computer is deleted.
-
Lost me at cherry slop on frozen meatballs
-
George has arrived in the nick of time.
-
We've made Deadline for our Sami press release - and there's an exclusive and fun clip from the show. It's in the new notes.
-
So, I have the business card for the guy who is dealing with this issue, and if it happens again (hopefully, it'll be during normal business hours), he said to call him to see if I can bring it in.
-
Cherry Slop - that's the title of my next novel.
-
Sounds to me like George's car is trying to - gaslight him.
-
After that, I went to my mom's to play Phase 10 since I didn't have rehearsal tonight.
-
Sounds to me like George's car is trying to - gaslight him.
I hope not! :-\

Anyway, I won one of the three games!
-
Popcorn is good.
-
Then I came home.
-
Lost me at cherry slop on frozen meatballs
I was like a car wreck...you just can't turn away from it!
-
If they hook it up to a diagnostic computer, they should see how many times those warning lights have come in the last several months at least. Turning off your car a few times shouldn’t change that. What good would diagnostics computers be if they reset everything every 3 times you turned off the car? I am baffled.

I have slept entirely too much this day.
-
Page eleven has shown up.
-
Tomorrow, I have music rehearsal from 10:00 until noon, then I'll go to my sister's to help celebrate my niece's 39th birthday!
-
Her actual birthday is the 17th, but everyone wants to get together on a weekend, so we shall. :)
-
Maybe it’s that specific error. I don’t know. My car saves a history of errors.
-
Now, I need to ketchup on all the posts!

He made it sound like that's the way Subaru cars are.
-
I heard back from the Philharmonic. Their ticket purchasing doesn’t work on iPhones. Gee. I would consider that a problem, wouldn’t you?
Yikes! You'd think it wouldn't matter what kind of smart phone someone has.
-
I couldn't ignore the text though as Keith's uncle was in the ER. I think by now he has been admitted.
Vibes for Keith’s uncle.
~~~DITTO!!~~~
Health update: DD is much better today, and that’s the best news. Mrs. Rodz had a bad day, but improved over the last couple hours. MIL in hospital, in pain. FIL now with Covid but home. Son doing fine, unfazed by ants.
Great news about the DD!!
~~~Continued Vibes for the Rodzinskis!!!!~~~

Thank you Sir George.
How does Sir George fare in Camelot during the Fair song?
-
I saw a video of bloopers/outtakes from the Partridge Family and Bruce can be seen briefly at the 10:15 mark or so. https://youtu.be/HWwbS79CKxc
Funny!

Thank you Sir George.
How does Sir George fare in Camelot during the Fair song?
Fairly well. ;)
-
Car vibes to you and I was Re-reading your posts from last night. Def should be under warranty. And realistically, they should be able to test the sensors in question.
-
Is George still at Costco?
Fortunately not!
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
Does Dominic Frontiere make BK’s Top 30 film composers?
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
I've always liked Frontiere, but he wouldn't make the top thirty, I'm afraid.

I'm baffled, too.

I was just reading the history of HBO. I had no idea that they began in 1971
-
But, it's what I was told, so I can only assume that it's the way it is. :P
-
To the notes I scurry…
-
First I saw HBO was as a kid on vacation in 1980 or so, watched Norma Rae on a hotel tv in Nebraska.

You'd think, but at least it didn't cost me anything, just my time and gas for them to drive it around town for 30 miles.

I remember when we first moved here in 1976 and my parents got HBO. It, and cable, was very different back then.
