I was looking for two one-act plays about the American Revolution for soem community theatre's reading at their open house. The only employee I remember in this dream was Jane Emerson, who died several years ago from a brain tumor. Her mother, Doris Grumbach was the author of the beautifully moving book, Chamber Music, based on the life of American composer Edward MacDowell.

The wonderful, trustworthy local auto repair shop we’ve been so fortunate to have here for years will soon be no more. The family has decided it’s time to sell and retire. Worse, the prospective buyers have no interest in keeping the repair shop going. They want to convert it to something we all need more of <cough> and have been clamoring for: a gas station.

This place could not have had better mechanics or been more conveniently located and managed.

How did I know so early in the day? I had a phone call at 8:48 am and I was invited to join my cousin and his fiancee at the club for lunch. They have flounder on the menu today.

I loved that they thought of me and invited me. But I cannot find sufficient get-up-and-go to buy lunch out when I have many wonderful food choices in my refrigerator.

My weekly Tovala shipment arrived Friday, plus I went to CostCo following my medical appointment Friday and bought some chili which I am planning to have for lunch today.

I haven't had a less-than-great Tovala meal since I started up with it three weeks ago.

There are now THREE gymnasiums, but we finally found ours. And I recognized a couple of the staircases.

He said now and then the Drama Club does a play, but that no musicals are done.....because The Spotlighters - the choir - does music shows and musicals would interfere with that....they sing the show tunes at the school.

Sounds like a ego mad choir director is running the music department there.

But we now know the skinny: Gov Newsom postponed the tax deadline to Oct 16 for all of us affected by the severe storms, which was most of the state. And the IRS agreed to make that the deadline for Federal returns as well (!!!). It was only when I did a web search which included the word "California" that the relevant information came up. I'm sure all of you non-Californians are just thrilled to know this. But at least this one mystery has been solved.

Hmmmm. Federal deadline is Tuesday, April 18. In SC, that's the deadline for state taxes, too.

No. For some reason, and I'm not quite sure what it was, we began discussing beliefs in the paranormal.

As weird as that sounds, it evolved into a discussion about odd things that each of us has experienced that may not have been ghostly or supernatural, but which defied our understanding about what was happening.

And then it got into dreams and the ones that came true or gave us some sort of pre-cognitive knowledge about something.

Very strange afternoon, but each of us has had some form of unexplainable experience.
