Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of Kritzerland 124, and now it is time for you to post until the 124 cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: BULSE!
-
Congrats on the success of Kritzerland 124, if not in crowd size. Love the pictures!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
DR George, I liked your list last night.
-
Here in the Twin Cities, we had a Khyber Pass restaurant that recently closed. Loved that place.
-
I was just perusing Veselka's menu and salivating.

-
So fun to read about last night's Kritzerland show, short of being there in person. Glad it went so well.
-
~~~CONTINUED major MAJOR miracle vibes~~~~ for the likes of BK!!!!!!!!!
-
DR George, I liked your list last night.
Thanks, Singdaw! I just wish I actually came up with it. ;)
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept rather well, but it was still a very restless night.
-
DR George, those 21 comments were fantastic.
-
The Kritzerland show sounds wonderful. That is a wonderful photo of you and Mr Sherman, BK!
-
DR Jeanne, I have never watched SUCCESSION.
-
Your dinner looks great, DR vixmom! Back in the days of 1990-91, I had a lovely dinner at Veselka while I was working on the Houston Grand Opera's version of Babes in Toyland.
-
This morning I am seeing a new doctor, orthopedic surgeon Dr Kassapidis. We will discuss hip/knee replacement. After my appointment, I will stop at Staples and scan Nos. 12 and 13A.
-
~~~SUCCESSFUL CONSULATATION VIBES~~~ for DR elmore3003!

Student exam blooper:
Test: Explain a significant moment in which pride or prejudice occurs in Jane Austen's novel.
Answer: From the very outset; on the novel's title page, actually.
-
Good morning to all. Have a wonderful day and a great week
-
Good morning, all.
-
Sounds like a great show. Any videos?
-

Right? I could eat there every day for a month and have something different every time
-
The Kritzerland show sounded wonderful. I too hope for videos
-
George your list made me laugh out loud!
-
I have an errand to run before work so I had better Wordle and run
-
Had weird dreams. I was some place foreign abd getting ready to leave for home. Dad was alive and with me. One place we were staying at had great looking strawberries growing like grapes. When I came back from packing, Dad had eaten every single strawberry. He said they were all flavorless, so I missed nothing.

The sentiment is the same but some of the details are different enough for me to think it’s not the same company. Ours is three daysca week, looking at possibly five.
-
I am so glad I was retired before the pandemic struck and workplaces became ghost towns.
-
Happy Monday, all.

TOD:
It's a toss-up, really. I'd love to visit Athens GR again, but Tuscany has been on my mind a lot lately.
And then there is England. I have undiscovered roots in England, Wales and Ireland. Would love to dig them up.
-
I have undiscovered roots
So your roots aren't showing, then.
-
DR George: I, too, enjoyed your list. Especially Number 10!! Made me laugh out loud. Sad thing is, I can relate to virtually every one of those numbered items.
Missing from the list was the fact that I often find myself in a room and cannot recall why I went there...not until I return to where I was and realize I needed something in that other room to help with what I was doing.
-
looking at possibly five.
Oh no! :-X
-
Am in desperate need of coffee and a blueberry muffin.
So let it be written, so let it be done!
-
It's sunny today, but there is snow on the ground.
-
I have undiscovered roots
So your roots aren't showing, then.
Happily, I have roots. They are uniformly gray and will stay that way until they turn white...or fall out.
-
That is a good way of looking at it, DR Ron Pulliam. Given the alternative.
-
:)
-
AAR is not running on time this morning. They can really piss me off.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Definitely looking forward to a video, or several, from the Kritzerland show.
Actually, this is sounding like one that should rightly have been recorded in full. :)
-
Good luck vibes for DR Elmore's AAR trip to the orthopedic surgeon ... and of course for a good informative visit.
-
This morning I got up early to have Kristi drive me to the body shop that was fixing a booboo I caused on the back of the car inside my own garage.
It was one of those things that happens when you get distracted and get in, buckle up, start the engine, and try to back out with the rear hatch still open. Never mind! Fortunately, it only cost an arm, not an arm and a leg, so I did NOT make an insurance claim on it just to save a few hundred dollars and then have them raise my rates.
-
I just got a sneak listen to a piece from DR Elmore's ballet. It is WONDERFUL.
-
So am I the only person here who waits till the last minute to do his tax return?
I've been using TurboTax the past several years, and I got most of it done yesterday. I need to run over to my bank now to pick up one last statement that they didn't mail or email. (The current bank acquired my old bank during 2022, and they couldn't make the old bank's end-of-year statements available online.)
I'm seriously thinking of treating myself to a Sausage and Egg McMuffin as a reward for the effort.
-
Good morning!

Looks like a great show, BK! Wish I could have been there.

Do it, DR ChasSmith. You deserve it.

Oh no! :-X
It has been said that the office gets a tax break for the number of people in the building. With pandemic restrictions easing, that will come back into effect.
-
So, it’s irritating.
-
Uno mas.
-
Tres!
-
Don’t thank me.
That was not quite the word I had in mind. 8)

DR George, those 21 comments were fantastic.
Thanks, Larry! And I'm sure my sister thanks you, too!

What a great show it was......even if only to read about!
Congrats to MR BK & Co......and boo to those who stayed home instead.
-
Wonderful photos.
-
DR Ron Pulliam that sounds like an interesting ZOOM gathering.
-
Yes.....that was a fun [and true] list from DR GEORGE yesterday.
-
And of course DR VIXMOM's photos made me hungry.
-
I used to have a couple of paperback books of amusing headlines and newspaper typos. A couple of my favorites:
BATTERY STOLEN; YOUTH CHARGED
"John Gregory Smith did eat his home yesterday afternoon."
-
And of course - telegrams:
"Married your daughter in Miami this morning. Going to Tampa with her tonight."
-
This afternoon I am driving down to the theeder in the rain so we can redo the interviews that had bad sound......
-
Since it's raining I will probably drive the PT Cruiser instead of the Smart Car......

Thanks, Jrand!

I'm up, I'm up - sort of. Maybe three and a half hours of sleep. I"ll go to the bank shortly, then maybe back to sleep.

Exactly

I'm home from Staples, wondering why the fat hell the scans I made have not shown up in my email.
-
I am on the phone with Staples and on an endless hold. What the fat hell?
-
After that endless hold, I have been transferred to "the correct department." The lady seems clueless, completely clueless.
-
Well, I'm screwed. Tomorrow I have to go back to Staples and redo the goddamned scans and get credit for today's mess.
-
Oh, I'm going to have a right hip replacement very soon.
-
When is the surgery, Elmore?
-
What’s going to happen to the cats while you’re less mobile?
-
Let’s move on …
-
Four!
-
I was just perusing Veselka's menu and salivating.

It is, unless you are a vegetarian who does not like sauerkraut. Keith would be happy there as he likes both borscht & sauerkraut. Many of the dishes are the same as those my mother cooked using her mother-in-law's recipes.
-
Bruce, congratulations on a great evening.
-
I am so glad I was retired before the pandemic struck and workplaces became ghost towns.
You did seem to enjoy your office enviornment.
-
I have not watched Succession. We have watched the first two episode of the new season of Ted Lasso. They were both wonderful.
-
I do not subscribe to whatever service is showing Ted Lasso OR Mrs. Maisel.
-
Oh, I'm going to have a right hip replacement very soon.
:o

~~~Quick Hip Recovery Vibes for Larry!!~~~
I am appalled at the choreography in The Tremeloes video...but it certainly is active.
But it doesn't come close to the famous Pan's People......who at least in this video couldn't keep a dog interested.
-
And we also have Heather Parisi - a young American girl who was quite popular in Italy for a few years.....
Those clips are simply astonishing, DR Jrand72.
-
Those clips are simply astonishing, DR Jrand72.
Astonishing...that's certainly one word to describe them. ;)
-
All of today's dancing clips have left my jaw on the floor.
-
And not in a good way.
:o
-
Oh, I'm going to have a right hip replacement very soon.
Wow! :)
Of course, wishing ~~~STRONGEST HEALTH VIBES~~~ to DR elmore3003!!!!!
-
I have finally calmed down over that Staples mess - it really burns my ass that I have to return tomorrow with my receipt and redo everything - and I will tell more about my appointment.
-
Between 2015 and 2019, I was seeing Dr Re for cortisone injections in my hips and knees. He had told me his surgery specialty was shoulder replacement, but his office partner did the knees and hips replacements. When I last saw him in September 2019, as he predicted, the injections did nothing, but we talked about a hip or knee replacement in spring 2020. Well, the pandemic and my kidney tumor shot that to hell.
-
So, when I saw Dr Kassapidis this morning, they told me my hip and knee x-rays from 2021 were too old, and a nice young technician named Kevin took new x-rays. Dr Kassapidis compared them with the last ones I'd had taken for Dr Re and told me the knees were fine but the hip deterioration was really bad. He suggested replacing one hip soon and the other later in the year or next.
-
So, he and his assistant - I forget her name - answered my questions. Surgery is always on Wednesday at Lenox Hill Hospital, site of my kidney surgery and radiation treatments, and I could expect a stay of four days. So, I would go in on Wednesday and get out on Sunday or Monday, depending on how the therapy was going. He said the surgery took aroud 45 minutes, and I would be up and walking after maybe 2-3 hours.
-
So, Margaret just called and I am tentatively scheduled for May 31. This may change, depending on neighbors and friends available to care for the cats.
-
Banking done. Food ordered.
-
Lots o’ name dropping.
Just read an interview with Molly Ringwald, whose latest book is a translation of My Cousin Maria Schreiber. She says when she was younger, she met with Bertolucci about making a film of Queen’s Gambit. Interesting.
TOD:
At the moment I don't want to go anywhere.
-
It did feel good to go to the gym this morning and then stop at the market for pears.
-
I didn't have a single sneezing attack and was able to keep my mask on.
-
Once I feel better, I would love to go to Patagonia.
-
I want to go to Porto & travel through Portugal & Spain.
-
I have finally calmed down over that Staples mess - it really burns my ass that I have to return tomorrow with my receipt and redo everything - and I will tell more about my appointment.
This has just happened to both of us on the same day.
The car looked great, and I drove it home. When Nathan got home we checked it out together.
TWO (2) things are not working: the backup lights don't come on, and the handle that opens the rear hatch doesn't open the rear hatch.
Unbelievable. Completely, utterly beyond belief.
-
Closer to home, I would like to go to Antelope Canyon in Arizona. DR Laura, you could meet me there.
Good night, friends.
-
Elmore, that is good news. Everyone I’ve known who had a hip done has ended up happy with the results.
-
Ten minutes left in The Bridge of San Luis Rey. Who will die? It’s been 25+ years since I read the book.
Well, that wasn’t nice.
On Friday, everyone else in the family ::) is going to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival (https://www.visitskagitvalley.com/skagit-valley-tulip-festival/) north of Seattle.
-
It's where my niece wants to go for her birthday.
-
But...someone needs to put her chickens to bed, so I guess that's me.
-
Tomorrow night, I don't have rehearsal until 8:30 pm, so I'll go over there and learn what I'll need to do because they won't get back on Friday until very late.
Page six???
-
This is what we've come to?
-
In what universe are we on page six?
-
Answer me that.
-
I'll wait.
-
When is the last time TCB was with us?
-
Answer me that.
-
Page six is ridiculous.
-
What a giant step backwards.
-
And apparently there is gaslighting going on.
-
There is no way we can still be on page six.
-
Stop the damn gaslighting NOW.
-
See?
-
Let me just say this: I hate page seven.
-
You know this.
-
It's not a secret.
-
George is down some stupid rabbit hole.
-
Just me and a GUEST.
-
Yakking away.
-
A voice in the wilderness.
-
I am appalled, oh, yes, I am appalled.
-
When was the last time TCB was with us.
-
When was the last time George didn't go down a damn rabbit hole?
-
Of course, everyone had an extra HOUR to post, since I had a long telephonic call and didn't get the notes post until one.
-
And what did everyone do with that extra hour?
-
NOTHING.
-
They sat there like so much fish.
-
Have I mentioned that i HATE page seven?
-
And that is NOT breaking news.
What am I, doing a monolog?
And?
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
And?
-
Well, hold your hats and hallelujah, we made it to page eight and with no gaslighting going on.
-
We just had an entire page of ME.
-
We call that a ME page.
-
And I don't care who knows it.
