Well, you've read the notes, the notes were approved and reviewed, and now it is time for you to post until the approving cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: COMMENDABLE!
-
Here's a direct link to the Sami reviews: https://www.amazon.com/product-reviews/B0B6GRDSP4/ref=atv_dp_cr_see_all?ie=UTF8&reviewerType=all_reviews
-
Hmm...my review doesn't show on Amazon, yet. I posted it there before I posted it to the IMDb page:
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt22505564/reviews (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt22505564/reviews)

So yesterday, I received this laserdisc from eBay:
(https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/qX0AAOSw3s9gcMHn/s-l1600.jpg)
Which is a good thing, since I actually ordered it. ;)
-
And Tuesday, I received this window card:
(https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/2LgAAOSwvcdiNLM-/s-l1600.jpg)
-
That picture is from the eBay listing. I still need to frame it.
-
But, it's the perfect companion poster to this one that I got last month:

-
Good morning, friends.
-
It's a long way from here to page ten.
-
But every journey begins with but a single
step post.
-
Hmmm.. I can't see some of your photos above, DR George.
-
Glad that BK's book is moving forward.
-
Will all of the taco suffice?
-
How about the entire burrito?
-
No. I want the whole enchilada.
-
Good morning, all!
-
The alarm rang at 5:30, but Annabelle wanted to cuddle under the blankets while Thatch couldn't decide if he wanted to snuggle with us or lie on top of the blankets. It was fun and I lost an hour in kitty nirvana. As soon as I decided we should face the world, Stella, who had abandoned my teacart, zoomed around the apartment.
-
First thing this morning is laundry, which will occupy much of my morning. I'll continue to proofread the A&T book.
-
FUN FACT:
Blueberries are the only fruit to be named after a color.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Storms in the night. Didn’t keep me awake too long.
-
Had dreams I was asked to fix the book of New York, New York, but no one was helpful. No one wanted anything to change.
-
FUN FACT:
Blueberries are the only fruit to be named after a color.
What are blackberries named after?
-
What are oranges named after?
-
Asking for a friend.
-
I feel no reason to stir. Or motivation.
-
Let’s get off this page.
-
Two is all the rage.
-
Said some supine sage.
-
Two!
-
Wordle and Phoodle 3.
-
Very good questions, DR John G.
-
I guess I shouldn't believe everything I read on the Internet.
-
I finally got them all in a row...
-
Mostly.

Good morning, all.
-
Blackberries.
-
Good morning
-
I think I’m wearing out
-
I’m tired all the time
-
I keep falling asleep
-
Never mind, Wordle then work
-
I believe we have just entered our rainy season.
We need it, but the whole next week is looking pretty dismal.

Anyway, April showers. Right?
And we all know what those bring.

Bring it.
-
~~~ENERGY AND REVITALIZATION VIBES~~~ for DR vixmom!!!!!!!
-
There's a treatment for that.
-
It's called winning the lottery and buying a private Caribbean island.
-
Can we start suggesting cameos for Sami, Season Two?
-
It's called winning the lottery and buying a private Caribbean island.
For your friends.
-
Can we start suggesting cameos for Sami, Season Two?
Will season two still be in New York or will it follow Sami on tour? Or in LA for pilot season? So many possibilities.
-
They are endless.
-
Glad to hear the book is moving along and the speed bump was flattened.
Some people don't understand the word DON'T.
-
DR JOHN G the couple of scenes that I really liked in that new version of TRE involve Russell.
When Isobel gets Sophie back on the bottle - revealing how selfish she is.....of course what's her face is no Gene Tierney.....
-
Well taking my medication correctly is helping a lot.....imagine that....my blood sugar level went down 12 points over night.
-
Kind of like Fox News stock.
-
My SAMI review is not there yet either.....
-
Page Three.
Nice Kat Kart DR ELMORE!
-
Catherine Hicks.
-
Kind of like Fox News stock.
Both your blood sugar levels and Fox stock need to drop further.
-
Some people don't understand the word DON'T.
Everybody says don't.
[a little Sondheim reference]
-
[a little Sondheim reference]
You don’t say!?
-
Jerry Springer has died. Cincinnati’s most notorious politician and subject of opera.
-
I'm am up from the basement while the dryers run their course.
-
I just saw the news about Springer. I occasionally see the end of his current show while I'm switching channels. I cannot believe how dreadful the folk who appear on it are!
-
I just saw the news about Springer. I occasionally see the end of his current show while I'm switching channels. I cannot believe how dreadful the folk who appear on it are!
And yet, none of his guests tried to pay a prostitute using a City of Cincinnati check.
-
May be his most noteworthy accomplishment.
-
I have never listened to that opera.
-
He pulled in ratings, I guess, but I detested his methods.
-
Appealing to the lowest instincts.
-
And people followed.
-
Follow, follow, follow.
-
[a The Fantasticks reference]
-
Meanwhile,
-
I'm trying to remember
-
A kind of September
-
When grass was green
-
And grain was yellow
-
Is there a mellow fellow in there, too?
-
I can't remember.
-
Ironic, huh?
-
We should all be mellow fellows.
-
But it's hard, sometimes.
-
In this crazy world.
-
[a Victor/Victoria reference]
-
FOUR.
-
Yes Catherine Hicks....who was in a couple of things I liked......but Gene Tierney is a huge image to try to replace.
-
And people followed.
Which, I probably shouldn't suggest it, led to the political career of one Donald John Trump.
-
I had an odd, if not completely puzzling, dream last night.
I was having a conversation with my father and was told my name wasn't really my name.
What? Huh? So I asked him what my name is:
"Joshua Dennis Dawkins," he said.
I asked how that was possible, and I then woke up.
I cannot make heads nor tails of this. Where did that name come from?
-
The cast of the 1947 "The Razor's Edge" is perfection.
Clifton Webb is brilliant!
-
Well hello!
-
I’m tired all the time
Are you sleeping well? Do you wake up a lot while you sleep?
Could you, possibly, have sleep apnea? Honestly, I was always tired after a full night's sleep.
I took a sleep apnea test and was immediately given a CPAP.
My first night's sleep was AMAZING, and I was refreshed the morning after.
A full night's sleep with my CPAP makes all the difference.
-
I'm up, I'm up - seven hours of sleep, I think.
-
Has anyone heard a peep from dear reader Iris. She's completely disappeared from here, and an eBlast I sent bounced back from her.
-
Car 54, Where Are YOU?
-
DR Ron Pulliam - you might first dissect the name into the three individual names and think of folks you may have known with those names.
You can also sometimes find clues in the individual initials....JDD.
-
Gratuitous Post #101!! :D
-
Well taking my medication correctly is helping a lot.....imagine that....my blood sugar level went down 12 points over night.
Very good news, Jrand!
-
Kind of like Fox News stock.
:))
-
Jerry Springer has died. Cincinnati’s most notorious politician and subject of opera.
Oh, my. I have the Region 2 DVD of that opera. It's quite good, actually.
-
He was also the first host of America's Got Talent.
-
Well hello!
(http://www.haineshisway.com/smf/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=7214.0;attach=17139)
Cute! ;D
-
Has anyone heard a peep from dear reader Iris. She's completely disappeared from here, and an eBlast I sent bounced back from her.
Oh, no. :-\
-
We should all be mellow fellows.
You call me mellow fellow!
-
Nice arrivals DR George.
-
Has anyone heard a peep from dear reader Iris. She's completely disappeared from here, and an eBlast I sent bounced back from her.
She was taking a break because of personal issues. Haven’t seen her here since.
-
Well taking my medication correctly is helping a lot.....imagine that....my blood sugar level went down 12 points over night.
Wonderful.
-
Not eating so much sugar would make me feel better.
-
I think. It is hard to stay good when I really don't feel a difference.
-
I just saw the news about Springer. I occasionally see the end of his current show while I'm switching channels. I cannot believe how dreadful the folk who appear on it are!
And yet, none of his guests tried to pay a prostitute using a City of Cincinnati check.
;D
-
He pulled in ratings, I guess, but I detested his methods.
Yup.
-
Appealing to the lowest instincts.
It is sad.
Has anyone heard a peep from dear reader Iris. She's completely disappeared from here, and an eBlast I sent bounced back from her.
Maybe she has been very busy with her mother. The situation did not sound good.
-
I'm sure it's her mum.
-
You can also sometimes find clues in the individual initials....JDD.
DR Ron Pulliam is going back to school to get his law degree?
-
FIVE.
-
You call me mellow fellow!
If the shoe fits...
-
We finally saw our new dermatologist today.
-
We liked the previous one, however, she is never returning due to long covid.
-
We like the new doctor.
-
Poor Keith ended up with two biopsies on his nose.
-
I just had a punch of things blasted off of me, but didn't need any biopsies this time.
-
Something to ponder?
-
That's right!
-
So if there was a small scamp, they could go out to dine...
And the scamp shrimpi could eat shrimp scampi.
-
Smoke on your pipe and put that in!
-
DR John G., another variation on chess pie for you to try:
https://southernbite.com/easy-peanut-butter-chess-pie/
-
Nice arrivals DR George.
Thanks, Jane!
-
We like the new doctor.
That's really good!
-
Nice arrivals DR George.
Thanks, Jane!
You are welcome.
-
We like the new doctor.
That's really good!
It is a relief.
-
Of course, if DR John G. would rather make a cake instead, I'm sure this would be appreciated.
-
Had that Pad Thai again - so good. This time, I used DoorDash's 40% off first pick-up code so it was eight dollars cheaper than delivery and three dollars cheaper than if I just went over there, i.e. ten bucks. So, I drove over there - it's very close by - and picked it up.
-
Now I am VERY full again.
-
Slinking back into the room to hope to not lose the patented and always effective HHW birthday greetings next week. I feel like I've been keeping up on HHW news over on Meta, but that could be self-delusion. :)
-
Hello, DR Freddie.
-
Haven't had a chance to watch the Carol Burnett 90th birthday special yet, but here are two Carol tidbits:
The "Fresno" television miniseries:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uL5bYdAlmUw (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uL5bYdAlmUw)
And Eunice (1982), a television movie:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGaX0NIQjUw (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGaX0NIQjUw)
-
Yes nice window cards DR GEORGE.
-
I still can't see them, for some reason.
-
Apparently Pence testified to the Federal grand jury today.
-
Also: are trains derailing more frequently than usual these day, or are we just hearing about these in the news more?
-
I haven't seen any more about that big chemical fire near DR Jrand72, but I hope that is being resolved quickly.
-
I think a page turn is a-comin'.
-
I can see if from my backyard.
-
SIX.
-
Yes nice window cards DR GEORGE.
Thanks, Jrand!
-
DR John G., another variation on chess pie for you to try:
https://southernbite.com/easy-peanut-butter-chess-pie/
Yes.
-
Of course, if DR John G. would rather make a cake instead, I'm sure this would be appreciated.
Ha. Not enough time left in the year v
-
I have been on a LONG video chat.
-
My friend like to talk ;D
-
Has anyone heard this recording?
-
Hello, everyone.
-
John G, I tried a couple episodes of MY LIFE IS MURDER, but then lost interest. That happens a lot to me.
-
Hello, DR Freddie.
-
Belated birthday wishes to DR Jennifer.
-
Coping vibes to DR Iris and also to the Rodzinski family.
-
Healthy vibes to all of us.
-
Sami and thriller vibes to BK.
-
TTFN.
-
Has anyone heard this recording?
I have not. The reviews on Amazon make interesting reading.
-
Sorry to have missed you, DR Jeanne.
-
The great Penny Peyser wrote one of the Amazon reviews. Put her in next season!
-
I fired up an ancient IMDB account and had to fire up an ancient email account to do that and after much double-verification and whatnot, my review posted without a hitch.
-
Has anyone heard this recording?
(http://www.haineshisway.com/smf/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=7214.0;attach=17145)
I actually have that recording.
-
...somewhere. ::)
-
Hmmm.. I can't see some of your photos above, DR George.
Oh, no! I wonder what's going on!
-
A few of you know the Stew Leonard's stores. Their founder Stew Sr. has died at age 93.
-
Too bad, but not bad at 93.
-
The only title that works is Some Days are Murder. Period.
-
Wonder if FJL has seen Sami.
-
He wasn't here long enough to ask.
-
I fell asleep for about an hour.
-
It's rehearsal time!
-
Don't know that CD DR ELMORE.
-
DR singdaw there is a big investigation going on about the fire.
Police are looking into things and the owners are cooperating.....it seems there have been problems there for a long time.
The police are asking any FORMER employees with any tales to tell to please step forward.
-
Page Seven.
-
I shall now be on my way to a brief casting session.
-
'night
-
Coping vibes to DR Iris and also to the Rodzinski family.
Thank you, DR Jeanne!
-
Just watched episode 5. The performance of Opposites was great. May be my favorite of the series so far, but I thought that after Simply too.
-
Page seven?
-
Glad Bk isn’t here to see page seven.
-
He wouldn’t know what to do.
-
But post and post.
-
So we shall have to make do.
-
And post and post ourselves.
-
But there are 0 guests.
-
And no one else.
-
So I will have to post.
-
Cares fly by
-
They’re going bye-bye
-
And we’re shouting hoorah!
-
Wings spreading
-
Cause we’re heading
-
To hot cha-cha, hot cha-cha-cha
-
My new kind of company
-
Is just magnetizing me
-
I’m footloose and fancy free
-
Getting out of town.
-
Some Al Dubin references.
-
And one of my favorites songs in 42nd Street.
-
That was the first show I ever saw on Broadway.
-
Great cast. Great choreography. Great music.
-
Great memories.
-
Eight.
-
BK can relax.
-
John G, rescuing us from the vagaries of page 7.
-
If 7 is behind us can 11 be too far ahead?
-
Okay, Rodzinski!
Are you living in Oregon or Washington State?
Your FB page has you in NYC.
-
You also say "Me is Zesty" under "Details about T*m"
-
I like folks that are zesty.
-
Don't you?
-
My name's June.
-
What's yours?
-
I am up WAY past my normal bedtime.
-
Can't say why, exactly.
-
Perhaps I was hoping DR John G. would make a pie or a cake.
-
Perhaps I was hoping DR George would post a Phase 10 score.
-
Perhaps I was hoping DR Jrand72 or DR Rodzinski would make me laugh.
-
Yet none of these things have happened.
-
Nada.
-
Zilch.
-
Negativo.
-
I am starting to feel tired.
-
Perhaps I'll continue reading about the Verdi operas.
-
It's a long book.
-
After the Verdi biography, it goes into incredibly fine detail about each of the over 25 operas. Plot synopsis, commentary, and musical analysis.
-
There is an out-of-print box set of recordings of all the Verdi operas, a total of over 75 CDs.
-
That's a lot of singing.
-
As as we know,
-
It ain't over
-
Until the fat lady sings.
-
Yodelayheehoo.
-
Walla walla.
-
NINE.
-
At long last.
-
Good night, friends.
-
Back from a brief casting session and cast the two females, so that's done.
-
You also say "Me is Zesty" under "Details about T*m"
Ha! I guess I was feeling zesty my first day on Facebook when I wrote that many years ago. I don’t really update my personal info on there anymore. I’m in Washington, but I’m not attached to it.
-
In my experience, females were so much easier to cast than males. Of course it was about 20:1 in favor of women showing up at NY auditions. Musicals, maybe 30:1.
-
Did I stress the man and forget the child?
-
I’m sad I wasn’t here to give singdaw a little laugh when he needed it.
-
Is it a breakdown or is it a break?
-
Nine posts on page nine.
-
Perhaps I was hoping DR George would post a Phase 10 score.
I can't. I didn't play, and we're not playing tomorrow night.
-
Dear reader Iris just e-mailed me - new account, she lost the other one. She wanted me to tell you she misses everyone, but her mom did pass away and it's difficult - she will be back with us when she's ready. I sent her all our condolences.
-
For her birthday, my niece wanted to go to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, so they're going tomorrow.
-
Oh, no. :'(
-
My niece, her mom (my sister), her oma (my mom) and her mom's boyfriend (Larry) are all going up to see the tulip festival.
-
They didn't ask me because someone needed to stay here and get her chickens into their coop around 7:00 pm. ::)
-
I can't do it earlier because it's supposed to be a very warm day tomorrow, and the coop will be too warm before then.
-
This also means that I probably won't get to see the SitPwG performance for Olympia's semi-annual Arts Walk (https://www.artswalkoly.com/) because they're performing at 7:30 and trying to get downtown and find parking at that time will be madness! :o
-
But I at least should be able to get down there in time to see the Luminary Procession (https://www.artswalkoly.com/events/2023/luminary-procession).
-
Love to DR Iris. That’s tough news.
-
Too bad you can’t come up for the Tulip Fest, G!
-
I went on a field trip with my preschooler today to a bird sanctuary. A little bird flew onto my hand to eat birdseed. A new experience for me.
-
Any type of lantern for the Luminary Procession? That sounds fun.
-
Cool!
It's really nice and quite beautiful with all the homemade lanterns.
-
BK, I found an interesting LP yesterday, Ben Bagley’s The Littlest Revue, featuring Joel Grey, Charlotte Rae, Tammy Grimes, and Larry Storch (although Storch is pictured, he has no solo turning the album). It features Vernon Duke material. Now this came out on Epic in 1956, yet it appears Painted Smiles reissued it with a new cover in the ‘70s. I did not see this among your Bagley reissues on Kritzerland. Did you release it among one of the Duke reissues or not at all?
-
I think we can get this to a 10th page.
-
Not to be confused with The 10th Victim
-
Rodzinski, it was released by Kritzerland back in 2020. Here's the CastAlbums.org (http://CastAlbums.org) listing that includes the Kritzerland release:
https://castalbums.org/recordings/Littlest-Revue-The-1956-Original-Off-Broadway-Cast/921/
-
Or Phase 10
-
Thank you, George!
-
I wonder if Larry Storch is audible in any of the full cast numbers.
-
Yes, we did The Littlest Revue with its original cover art.
-
Page ten, if you must know.
-
And you must.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
Or Phase 10
Definitely not! ;D
-
I wrote them.
-
To the notes!
-
Thank you, George!
My pleasure, Rodzinski!
