Well, you've read the notes, the notes were were not the last notes of April, and now it is time for you to post until the last of April cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: INVESTMENT!
-
Welcome 105 GUESTS!
-
Notes noted. Notarized.
-
Not to be confused with The Last of Sheila.
-
Or The Last Sweet Days of Isaac.
-
Good morning, all!
-
We had a week several weeks ago now where the temperatures went into the 70s and 80s. Since then, I have been freezing my butt off, and I hate it.
-
I slept well last night. I had a long, strange dream that I was visiting Mary Rodgers, and the house was filled with children and at least one dog. My only real memory of it now is that I had really bad gas, kept farting loudly and trying to hide it.
-
This morning I need to print out some music for the ballet. I think I've pulled a muscle in my lower back, so I'm taking it easy today.
-
BK, thanks for the update on DR Iris.
-
Good morning
-
The fatigue continues
-
Sending vibes of comfort to Iris, I was so sorry to read the news about her mom
-
Good morning, friends.
-
I am going to a local amateur production of Godspell tonight. The son of friends is playing the part of Jesus.
-
I’m sitting in the recliner with a cup of coffee trying to feel awake enough to drive to work
-
My car CD player contains disc 8 of Stephen King’s Pet Semetary (unabridged).
-
My dvd is empty
-
Guess I’ll Wordle
-
Glad that BK heard from DR DR Iris, but sorry about her sad news.
-
Good morning, all.

Another very odd, strange dream:
I was with two other guys training for something. We were going through some physical ordeal and the coach was tyrannical.
-
I feel a bit upbeat this morning. I am up and it isn't even 9 a.m. yet.
-
Sunny days and Fridays...ah, yes.
The weekend looms.
That would have once been what got me through a Friday.
The weekend is now a means to an end and a beginning.
-
I do not, have never, and will never miss working.
I do miss the people, though. Some were quite wonderful. Some remain correspondents.
-
It's time for my coffee and a blueberry muffin.
-
the coach was tyrannical.
But, more importantly: what name did he call you?
-
DR Ron Pulliam, AKA Joshua Dennis Dawkins, has done turned us a new page! PAGE TWO.
-
Fridays always seem fresh and green, with the promise of infinite possibilities. For those of us who work during the week.
-
We are trading in our old car and getting a new one today, a Nissan Rogue. It has 5 miles on the odometer.
-
My kind of gal...
-
The music is printing out and then I will make the bed. I wish someone would show up and put yesterday's laundry away for me.
-
Listening to the Milhaud album BK mentioned in today's Notes. I don't think I'd ever listened to anything by Milhaud.
-
I'm a Milhaud neophyte, as it were.
-
Maybe I should get a t-shirt made.
-
The album is only 32 minutes.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Yes! Yes! It's true! It's Friday!
And that means it's
Another op'nin', another show!
-
Condolences for DR Iris.

~~~OPENING NIGHT BREAK-A-LEG VIBES~~~ for DR ChasSmith & Company!!!!
-
Listening to the Milhaud album BK mentioned in today's Notes. I don't think I'd ever listened to anything by Milhaud.
As with BK, that amazing RCA Soria Series package had been commanding my attention at Discount Records in downtown Cleveland for a while, and I finally gave in. But we also were performing it at school and I played the piano part. I always bought records to study by, and I also had a Nonesuch release with Milhaud conducting (which included Le boeuf sur le toit, and be careful how you say that). I still have both, and a few others that I may or may not have ever listened to.
Later I was really glad I'd taken care of that Munch recording because it eventually became one of the more prized RCA albums, and mine is in beautiful condition.
Anyhoo, Le création was also my introduction to Milhaud, and I was crazy about it.
-
Thanks to MR BK for relaying the IRIS news - and giving her our condolences.
Opening Night Theeder Vibes for DR CHAS SMITH & Co.
Well the folks at CVS were pulling shenanigans again this morning - so I dropped by and let them know my thoughts.
They did not think I should have an opinion or express it and let me know - EACH AND EVERYONE OF THEM BEHIND THE COUNTER - that I should have called.
I said I did call and got into a menu loop that never gave me the option to talk to a person.....
Anyway - Hello, WalMart Pharmacy. The big shot lady at CVS accused me of yelling.....all I could think of was "if you think THIS is yelling, you have lead a very protected life."
Goodbye, forever!!!! As my baby sister Molly used to say during her preschool years when she thought about running away - and got about as far as her swing set in the back yard.
-
And I am down another 8 points today.
-
DR singdaw we will need photographic evidence of the new car.
-
Thank you, DR Jrand72. I didn't have or report any dreams.
-
But I am still happy to send you the $35.
-
'Cause I'm generous like that.
-
Lots of great Sami reviews populating on Amazon. Especially enjoyed Mark Wyckoff's review.
DR Jrand72 - I am sorry that both of your local pharmacies are staffed entirely by ignoramuses.
From Rodzinski:
Ha! I guess I was feeling zesty my first day on Facebook when I wrote that many years ago. I don’t really update my personal info on there anymore. I’m in Washington, but I’m not attached to it.
That's understandable. Too much has been happening for you to really settle in. I wonder, due to the location,at time do you feel more connected to Canada?
-
Bruce, thank you for passing our condolences on to DR Iris.
-
DR George I hope your niece, and family, have a lovely time at the tulip festival, and that it isn't too hot up there.
-
From DR Rodzinski:
I went on a field trip with my preschooler today to a bird sanctuary. A little bird flew onto my hand to eat birdseed. A new experience for me.
Sweet.
-
DR Jrand I hope you are pleased with Walmart. I am shocked the phone system at CVS didn't let you speak to anyone, or that they were mad you went in person vs calling.
-
And I am down another 8 points today.
Very good.
-
Its cold and grey
Hopefully your energy will improve when the weather does, still I think you need to do less. Did you get your thyroid tested?
-
Its cold and grey
I'm freezing. I had to close the window.
Well, the Planetarium Station, my local Post Office, strikes again. A package was delivered on April10. only it never arrived, and at the moment two packages for other addresses have sat in our lobby for a week. So far, no postal worker has bothered to pick them up.
-
Here she is, boys! Here she is, girls!
We have never named our vehicles.
Perhaps we should start.
I'm up, I'm up - six hours of sleep.
Perhaps we should start.
She looks like an "Esther Rose".
I also drive a Nissan Rogue. But mine's a 2010 model...not as spiffy and advanced as yours.
the coach was tyrannical.
He didn't call me by name...that I recall.
-
Here she is, boys! Here she is, girls!
Very nice :)
Congratulations!
-
DR JANE I'm sure everybody there has forgotten all about it....they will not even miss me.
I am sure. It would be nice if you could let the corporate office know why you left.
-
And at least WalMart doesn't require a trip to the other side of town - I in that store about once a week.
If more convenient, I have to wonder why you didn't start there ;)
Oh I love Washington. I was just being cheeky about not being physically attached to the rest of it.
-
I have been lucky, while not perfect, the Fred Meyer near me has been good. Plus they have a drive through if we really don't want to go inside.
I need to get off of the computer. I have been doing work all morning, and obviously my sense of humor is gone ;)
-
I did, FINALLY, after much searching and never finding the answer, figured out how to get sound and vibrations back on my cell phone. I was missing text messages.
-
I am in Canada as much as here so it is kind of a weird duality.
-
Then I finally, at least I hope it works, have got Libby to send me email notifications when a book is available.
-
I gave up trying to figure out how to remove books off of my Libby wish list.
-
I really do not need books on there that I have already checked out from the library and read.
-
I am in Canada as much as here so it is kind of a weird duality.
Can your children apply for dual citizenship?
-
I was just being cheeky about not being physically attached to the rest of it.
My brain says that about my body all the time.
That would be interesting!
-
Thanks for all the congratulations.
Do some pesto pizza rolls sound good?
It is gray and gloomy here.
But, for once, not too cold.
-
I am in Canada as much as here so it is kind of a weird duality.
Can your children apply for dual citizenship?
Yes. They technically have it by virtue of their mother’s birthplace but have to do the official stuff.
-
I think that would be really cool. There aren't any drawbacks, are there - besides the costs involved?
-
The Tony nominations are now out.
-
Once again this year, DR Jrand72 has been egregiously overlooked.
-
I shall file a PayPal dispute.
DR JANE when my mother was alive I changed my prescriptions from Kroger to CVS because that is where hers were and I had stopped grocery shopping at Kroger.
So I was just too lazy to change....until now.
-
DR JANE glad you got your good vibrations working.
-
My SAMI review is still MIA.
-
Jrand, that's weird. I do know that one Sunday review just came up late yesterday.
-
Also in the weird department, I went to Ralph's to get that five-dollar wet burrito and all I saw were the eight dollar six chicken enchiladas mis-marked as burritos at the five-dollar price, so I bought those.
-
Makes sense. CVS probably did you a favor driving you away.
;D Thanks.
-
Let's face it - this is a weird day.
-
I think that would be really cool. There aren't any drawbacks, are there - besides the costs involved?
No drawbacks.
-
Probably so DR JANE.
Yes 100% weird MR BK - but I guess it will eventually show up, or if not, I will do it over next week.
-
No Tony nomination? They're not announced until May 2?
But then again - no Drama Desk nomination either......
-
You're absolutely right, DR Jrand72.
Goshdarnit, this fools me every single year!
Time Out New York announces their nominations early. The acronym is TONY. But they get me every time!
I just returned from a 45 minute walk. It felt like summer out there.
The little beach near us was busy and people at the restaurant were sitting on the patio.
There was a nice breeze keeping the 83 degrees comfortable.
It felt good to wear shorts and my pretty new t-shirt from Japan.
Our old nemesis.
We meet again.
MWAH-HA-HA-HAAAAAAA!
To get us all the way off this darned page.
-
That would be a tall order.
-
I'd take a tall orderly, however.
-
But 'tis not to be.
-
There are no medical personnel here at all.
-
Not a nurse.
-
Not a doctor.
-
not a nurse practitioner.
-
Not an anesthesiologist.
Not a chiropractor.
Not a podiatrist.
Not a candystriper.
-
Not an ear, nose, & throat specialist.
-
Not a pediatrician.
Not a radiologist.
-
Nary a one to be found.
-
EIGHT!!!!
-
Thank goodness that's over with.
-
Good night, friends.
-
I know of five reviews from last Sunday that have not been posted. If they're not up by Sunday, we'll write them Monday morning but it's ridiculous. Today they put up one written on Tuesday and there are several from Monday.
-
It's not gloomy here - just weird.
Of course, it's not gloomy...it's profound.
A Hugh Wheeler reference
-
Well I am back from Godspell
-
You know there really are a lot of very talented people in community theatre.
-
Unfortunately none of them were performing in this particular production
-
But they were enthusiastic!
-
And energetic!
-
They got all the words right!
-
And occasionally some of them hit the right notes
-
After the show I stayed to greet the young man who played Jesus.
-
I’ve know him all his life; his mom and I have been friends for 50years and his dad and I for nearly as long .
-
So I gave him a hug , told him I always loved the show, it was great fun seeing him as the lead and that it was a production I would not soon forget.
-
All very true.
-
Then I scooted off before any probing questions could be asked .
-
Lol sometimes you gotta get out before you gotta lie!
-
I never enjoyed Godspell in any fashion. Except for “Day Bidet.”
-
Jesus is not a career path for many.
-
Good night,all.
-
I never enjoyed Godspell in any fashion. Except for “Day Bidet.”
Grin...
-
Finished with my viewing.
-
With my viewing I'm finished.
-
Saw two movies - one good, one great.
-
If you meld them you have Lady Snowblood and The Fly.
-
I'd see that.
-
Now I'm listening to Howard Shore's soundtrack from the film. It's completely out of order from the way it appears in the film. I may try to figure out the proper order.
-
I feel that page nine is lurking.
-
No gaslighting, just change the damn page.
-
Well, gaslighting 101, clearly.
-
See?
-
Found a site that had The Fly tracks listed in film order, so I rearranged them thusly and so far not only is it a vastly different listening experience, it's a much better listening experience by far. I have no problem with rearranging tracks to present the best listening experience, and I've done so many times on soundtracks, but I would never have done that here. The same thing happened with Jerry Goldsmith's The Haunting - the album presentation was horrible and not something that you'd ever want to hear again. I got a hold of a DAT and put it in film order and WHAT a difference. Everyone, at the time, thought I was silly for doing so - after all, Jerry came up with the album sequence. Well, I was right and several years later they did exactly what I'd done and everyone suddenly liked the score better.
-
Unfortunately none of them were performing in this particular production
:o
-
What, we can't get off page nine?
-
What, George went down some rabbit hole?
And here we sit.
There are one or two cast recordings that I prefer to others, but I don't love the score, either.
We're stuck
At least George is alive and well and living in Tacoma.
It's just too Jesus-y for me. ::)
What, George went down some rabbit hole?
Just ketchuping on the posts.
What?? I don't live in Tacoma! I live in Tumwater...named after the tumbling waters.
-
Has George gone down a rabbit hole?
-
There he is.
-
However, what I really need is a proper massage. It's only been about twelve years.
I've never had a massage.
-
Tacoma, Tumwater - two Ts
-
I used to have them regularly.
But it's actually probably been closer tor fourteen years.
-
Page ten has made itself known.
How do you do?
I could use a massage right the HELL now!
And yet, here I sit, sans massage.
