Well, you've read the notes, the notes did the Turkey Trot, and now it is time for you to post until the Turkey Trotting cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SHREWD!
-
That was a funny blooper reel!! ;D
-
And Congrats on the Scenie Awards!!
-
And a Very Happy Birthday to the recently returned and occasional DR Freddie!! :D
-
Good morning, friends.
-
It's Today!
-
Good morning, all!
-
A very happy HHW birthday wish to DR Freddie!
-
BK, the next time you purchase Pepcid-AC, purchase two bottles, and when one one is empty, buy another. Then you will never be out of it.
-
I love the outtakes. I could find no button to subscribe.
-
I slept very badly. I guess it was payback for the good night before.
-
I saw the news about Gordon Lightfoot this morning, went to my iTunes and listened to him sing "Song for a Winter's Night." This and "If You Could Read My Mind" are my favorite songs of his.
-
Today my friend Lynda Lee, who sang Lady Maude on my Eileen recording, arrives from Dublin, and I'll meet her for lunch sometime this week.
-
In a few minutes I shall be on my way to see child prodigy physician Dr. Feldman.
I shall also report that since I have been taking my medicine correctly for six days, my blood sugar level has dropped 58 points. I am now at a more reasonable 164.
-
I shall watch the bloopers when I return.
I was cast as Dennis/Perkins in THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG - so there is that. And the only annoying person involved in the play is one of the stage crew.....a stupid girl who knows absolutely nothing listens to no one who tries to help her.
-
DR JANE the first day of the month is a bad day to go shopping because lots of - uh - older folks have extra money that day from various sources.
-
Sweet Sami outtakes.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Congratulations on your casting, DR Jrand72!
-
Happy birthday, Freddie!
-
It should be a fun experience.
-
Congratulations, JRand.

TOD 1:
The first Christmas I was in San Antonio, I was sick with pneumonia. I only had Kurosawa’s The Lower Depths to watch. It’s about life’s rejects discovering that bad times can always get worse.
-
Jean Renoir directed his own version.
-
Congratulations to BK on his Scenie wins!
-
We can't leave it here.
-
When we're so close.
-
But one more.

TWO.
-
Happy Birthday to Fred! Come spend some more time with us!
-
It’s raining AGAIN!!!
-
The writers union has gone on strike so I guess we can look forward to no new seasons of anything for a while .
-
I've gone down a Turkey Trot rabbit hole.
-
There's a whole menagerie going on.
-
All that's missing is the turkey pot pie.

The [real] Tony nominations are rolling out now.
-
Thanks so much, BK, for the birthday wishes in the Notes and the joyous spirit with which you gave them, especially since I've indeed been errant and truant.
It's been a confusing several years for me regarding social media in general, not just HHW.
-
And a Very Happy Birthday to the recently returned and occasional DR Freddie!! :D
Thank you so much, George! And birthday week greetings to you!
-
A very happy HHW birthday wish to DR Freddie!
Thank you so much, singdaw, for the greetings and the cake!
-
Happy birthday, Freddie!
Thank you, John G!
-
Happy Birthday to Fred! Come spend some more time with us!
Thank you, vixmom! And I hope to do that, but I've become wary of social media in general, though it brings me joy to see all the accomplishments and goings-on on FB.
-
Speaking of which
-
Congrats to BK on the Scenie award news!
-
Congrats to Jrand on the casting news!
-
JRand, you waz robbed! No Tony nomination again!

I personally feel there should be a much greater emphasis on STEM.
No, not Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
On Shenanigans, Tomfoolery, Escapades, and Mischief.
-
Happy Birthday DR FREDDIE.
-
And thanks to DR singdaw DR JOHN G and DR FREDDIE for the congrats.....my fingers are crossed.
Hoping to have fun.
-
So I saw Dr. Feldman this morning.
I learned about the history of diabetes from prehistoric times right up until this morning.
I was also treated to free hand drawings of my internal organs - which looked much different than I thought they would. But it was interesting nonetheless.
I also learned that Dr. Feldman played John Truitt in his 8th grade production of MEET ME IN SAINT LOUIS at the PRIVATE Orchard Day School in Indianapolis....
I will now take one Metformin tablet in the morning and TWO at bedtime and I have to test my sugar twice a day for the next two weeks.
And he broke up with the girlfriend that is in his bio video on the website.
-
Tuesday morning greetings! Another day, another ladies' gathering...
-
I am also supposed to put Vicks Vapo Rub on my toenails.
-
Happiest of birthdays to DR Freddie!
-
It is also Primary Election Day here - but there was nothing to vote for in my district.
-
So...thanks DR JOHN G - another hope dashed.
But I am a FUTURE Tony Winner.....
-
In a few minutes I shall be on my way to see child prodigy physician Dr. Feldman.
I shall also report that since I have been taking my medicine correctly for six days, my blood sugar level has dropped 58 points. I am now at a more reasonable 164.
Excellent!
-
Sad news regarding Gordon Lightfoot.
-
DR JANE the first day of the month is a bad day to go shopping because lots of - uh - older folks have extra money that day from various sources.
Thanks. That might explain the people shopping, and moving very slowly ;D
-
Happy Birthday DR FREDDIE.
Many thanks, Jrand!

For toenail fungus or something......he says the menthol cures it.
-
I didn't even know I had it.....but then I don't look at my feet much....
-
And I even more rarely have them fondled by strangers.
-
Good afternoon, all.
-
Had to carry a banner and seize a day this morning.
And then tomorrow morning I get to do it all over again. Isn't that special?
-
I just found out that a small thing I'm accompanying next Tuesday evening at a musical theatre training organization will include a piece from The Cradle Will Rock and a scene or two from The Pirates of Penzance. What a refreshing change of pace! Seriously. I don't know these people, but I like them already. And apparently the jernt has a very good reputation anyhoo.
-
Enjoying the bloopers!
-
And he broke up with the girlfriend that is in his bio video on the website.
...and proposed to you?
-
.....but then I don't look at my feet much....
I hear Ron DeSantis is giving lessons.

Cute outtakes.

Love, love, love Cradle and Penzance both.

Just got the music. They're doing the song from Cradle ("That's thunder, that's lightning..."). And from Pirates: "Climbing over rocky mountain", "Stop, ladies, pray!", "Oh, is there not one maiden breast" and "Poor wandering one". The one musical theatre concession will be Wildhorn's "When I look at you".

And when I was looking for my SitPwG vocal score in my storage unit, I found my (former library) original 1938 publication of the The Cradle Will Rock script that had the sheet music of several (but not all) of the songs! :D

Wildhorn? When you think of all the wonderful musical theatre writers from Bernstein to Weill and they choose Wildhorn? Holy shit!
-
I've never cared much for The Cradle Will Rock. I think my favorite Blitzstein contributions to musical theatre are his Threepenny Opera adaptation and Juno.
-
I do like one song from The Scarlet Pimpernel: Storybook.

Hello, everyone.
-
Happy Birthday to DR Freddie!
I hope you have a wonderful day!
-
Thank you for the condolences.
Condolences back to you, Larry, for the loss of your friend, Don Sebesky.
-
Two nice videos from DR JANE & DR RODZINSKI.
-
Not yet DR singdaw - but I do see him again in three months.

Every airport should have one of these, after going through security:

Today was DMV Day. I had to renew my driver's license. What a lot of changes they've made! Last time I was able to renew completely online, but this time a new eye test was required, as well as the knowledge test. I was able to take the knowledge test and pay online, so that speeded things up. I made an appointment a month in advance and was in and out in 30 minutes! The fastest visit I've ever had with them. I always dread going in, because it used to take HOURS. It is a lot better now.
-
One negative, however. They must have used an aging filter when they took my photo, because I 'd swear I look 85. I don't look that bad in my bathroom mirror! And we all know that how you look in your bathroom mirror is how you REALLY look. It made me want to find a plastic surgeon pronto.
-
That's great, DR Jeanne! Sounds like no recombobulation area was even required.
-
Congrats to Jrand on his new role in life.
-
Continued vibes of comfort to DR Iris. It does get easier.
-
That's great, DR Jeanne! Sounds like no recombobulation area was even required.
No recombobulation, but a significant blow to my ego!

Congrats, too, to you, Singdaw, on your new car. May it serve you well for a good, long time.

but I do see him again in three months.
Oh, good. So there's still a chance.
-
DR Jeanne - i have experienced the same. I think you are in good company there.
-
I watch very little American TV and don't expect to be affected much by the writer's strike. The shows I watch on Acorn TV and Britbox will still be there.
-
Happy Birthday to DR Freddie!
I hope you have a wonderful day!
Thank you so much, Jeanne!

Surely, so close to Hollywood we could be a little more flattering. If a cop pulled me over, they'd direct me to the nearest spa.

Delightful, thank you.

I also liked Carol's dress.

I didn't have time to watch that this morning. I'm very glad I remembered watch it.

I do. Sadly, I had everything from the last list.

I missed the announcement by our governor yesterday stating he will not run for a 4th term. I figured it out this morning when our attorney general sent me a text with the big news that he is exploring a run to be my next governor ;D

Just got word that we won Best Web Series at the LA Film Awards (LAFA) - I actually get a statuette for that one :) I'll have the certificate by the time I write the notes. So, that's two Best Web Series Awards so far. I'll take it!
-
Bruce, huge congratulations on winning two awards for Best Web Series!
-
Happy birthday, DR Freddie!
I read the online comments in the New York Times, and I’m pretty certain that those revised lyrics to New York, New York are yours.
If so, well done!

My phone woke me up with a notification there was a new photo of Freyja.

It seems she now have a set of drums.

We have a video of her playing and she is surprisingly good, for her age :)

I wish they had gotten the drum set after my visit ;D

Fortunately, not off-book, yet.

One might say it's trotting over the finish line!

I just had a call, supposedly from my bank. I hung up as soon as I realized it was a scam, but I'm still nervous about my account.

So far, so good, from what I can tell online. But I'll check again tomorrow morning.

How unsettling!

Congratulations BK on the Sami award!

Gratuitous Post #200!!
-
Home from the show. We only had about 450. But they were enthusiastic.
-
The book is great. The score is so-so.
-
Congratulations, BK, on the awards.
-
And we’re here on page seven.

BK’s favorite page.

But not for long.

Thankfully.

What can you lose?

Eight!

Hello, 0 guests!
-
TOD 2:
I call it Costume Meryl. Three of the dreariest costume dramas with Meryl Streep:
The French Lieutenant’s Woman
Sophie’s Choice
And the worst of all, Ironweed
-
Talk about depressing.
-
And here we are on page eight.
-
I finished Kill Bill 1 and then finished Kill Bill 2. I'm starting some little mini-series TV movie - three hours over two nights I'm sure, originally. Echoes in the Darkness, a real-life crime thing from a book by Joseph Wambaugh.
-
Good cast.
-
Music by David Shire.
-
Had a couple of those teeny-tiny two-bite cupcake things.
-
Well, tonight was the first time we had a full run-through.
-
We were not off book. :)
-
We're supposed to be off book by Friday.
-
We have rehearsals on Friday nights. :P
-
And this Friday is a holiday (of sorts).
-
It's Cinco de Mayo!
-
AND it's also MY birthday!
-
George was NOT off book and we are NOT off page eight.
-
Where's our Rodzinski?
-
Has George gone down a rabbit hole.
-
I'm here.
-
You can trust me on that.
-
But I do sense that page nine is around here somewhere, lurking.
-
Somewhere.
-
There's a page for us
A time and page for us
-
Calling all Georges.
-
Perhaps George is having a Sunday in the park on a Tuesday.
-
I guess I'm flying solo.
-
Even though George IS technically here.
-
But technically doesn't cut the mustard or the ketchup.
-
And?
-
What?
-
Page nine has arrived.
-
And that's a good thing.
-
But shouldn't we be on page 10?
-
We should but we're not.
-
We seem to be stuck on page nine these days.
-
Well, nothing to be done about it.
-
We'll just mush on as we must.
-
Do they still have mush?
-
These are the late-night questions that must be answered.
-
And yet, they are not being answered.
-
The Unanswered Questions.
-
Most unseemly.
-
George is cavorting with the rabbits and soon he or they will multiply.
-
Shall we do our multiplication tables?
-
Shall we make serapes and do the official dances of Mexico?
-
Shall we make tap tap Tapioca pudding.
-
Shall we make Junket?
-
Shall we don our smoking jackets and dickies?
-
Shall I tell the tale of The Randy Vicar and the Somnambulist?
-
George is cavorting with the rabbits and soon he or they will multiply.
:o I don't think so!
-
That's a good one.
-
George finally came back.
-
I never really go anywhere. ::)
-
Then you just sit there like so much fish?
-
Staring at the sky?
-
Or empty space.
-
Then you just sit there like so much fish?
Well. ::)
;)
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
Page ten!
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
PAGE TEN DANCE!! 💃 🕺
-
I wrote them.
And I'll read them!
