Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of mothers everywhere, and now it is time for you to post until the mother cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: BLATHERSKITE!
-
John, my condolences on the loss of your friend Angie.
-
Rodzinski, 8 minutes is much easier. I hope the new place turns out to be nice.
-
I am shocked about the bumper sticker story, even then.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
DR John G., ~~~VIBES OF COMFORT AND CONDOLENCE~~~ to you and to the family of your friend.
-
DR George, if you had to stretch a page last night, that was a wonderful way to do it.
-
AND it helped you practice memorizing your lyric! :)
-
Britbox has anthologized their coverage of the Coronation - about 9 hours' worth - with "Season One, episodes one, two, and three."
I find that frightfully amusing.
-
Good morning, all!
-
DR JohnG, my condolences on your friend Angie's passing.
-
Unless something goes wrong, this will be my third day with no health crises. My fingers are crossed.
-
I may work a bit on the new scoring for the beguine in No. 26, but5 after kitty cleanup, I plan on an easy day. I'd like to watch Season 2 of Sanditon again before I watch Season 3.
-
Unless something goes wrong, this will be my third day with no health crises. My fingers are crossed.
You have my sincere wishes that this be so, DR elmore3003. I was not so lucky myself, yesterday.
-
:)
-
And also this:
-
Someone without a tailor is unseamly.
-
Whereas here at HHW, we're just unseemly.
-
In See Me valley.
-
Frankie Valli.
-
Valley of the Dolls.
-
How green was my Valley.
-
My valet was also green, after I tipped him.
-
What am I going on about?
-
DR George, if you had to stretch a page last night, that was a wonderful way to do it.
;D
-
Good morning, all.
-
AND it helped you practice memorizing your lyric! :)
Well... ::)
-
Unless something goes wrong, this will be my third day with no health crises. My fingers are crossed.
~~~Vibes for No Health Crises!!~~~
-
A Very Happy Mother's Day to All the Mothers and Mothers'-by-Proxy!! :D
-
Happy Mother's Day to All, and to All a Good Night!
No, wait. That's not right.
-
Condolences for DR John G.
-
Condolences also, for DR Jrand72.
-
Continuing health vibes for DRs Elmore and singdaw.
-
Vibes of all kinds for all of us!
-
And thus beginneth... Day Four.
-
But who's counting? :)
-
I might as well have farted my review into a 40-mph headwind, for all the good it's doing.
(Just wanted to paint a nice picture for everyone.) :)
-
In other news, last night's concert was a great success and I very much enjoyed playing in the 10-piece band with good professionals. In the arrangements they use, my role was mostly "synth strings", which has to be done with extreme care or it sounds like crap, so it's a good challenge. And maybe I just haven't been around any good choral singing in a while, but I found this Chorale itself amazing.
For DR singdaw's and anyone else's curiosity, here's their website: https://bit.ly/3I9MgPj
-
But there is no rest for the wicked. Today I have to learn a dozen or so choral pieces for a high school concert Tuesday evening, with rehearsals starting early in the morning both tomorrow and Tuesday.
-
Then I must go to the car place on Wednesday morning, return a borrowed keyboard to Norwalk, Connecticut that afternoon, and we're back to Pippin auditions Wednesday evening - following which I shall update the Audition Report (pronounced as in "Colbert Report", if you please).
BUT - come Thursday, I suddenly have ME days for a week and a half!
-
And with that, I yield the floor.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Thank you, all, for the support.
-
Slept well. Dreams zoomed from work to dance to whatever, but nothing to remember. Or worth remembering.
-
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers.
-
Wordle and Phoodle 3
-
Mother’s Day greetings! It’ll be a low key one here because Richard’s having some medical tests tomorrow and has had his last solid food until they’re over. He probably won’t get much sleep tonight :P
-
Condolences to DRs JRand and John G.
-
Test vibes for DH Richard!
-
:)
That put tears in this cat daddy's eyes.
-
Thanks, everyone.
I have been asked for my telephone number, but nothing else has happened.
We shall see what today brings.
-
Continued health vibes for DR ELMORE.
-
Travel vibes for DR JANE!
-
Veda Ann Borg and her mobster boyfriend just stole Superman's costume....I think she's gonna fall off a mountain in a minute.
-
Thanks for the link, DR ChasSmith. Sounds like an intriguing program.
-
I was familiar with the Fairfield County Chorale, but not the one in Ridgefield.
-
:)
-
Had a nice phone call with mom. Not the same as an in-person hug, however.
-
That will have to keep until October.
-
THREE
-
I shall look forward to the next audition Repor.
-
Wednesday......visiting at 11 a.m. and service at 1 p.m.
-
The Atlantic Beach pie proved quite wonderful, if you like the idea of sweet and salty.
-
Back from dancing. Too many ways to improve.
-
Good afternoon!
-
Wordle: 6/6
-
Happy Mother's Day to all the HHW Mothers!
-
Condolences to DRs JohnG and JRand.
-
Vibes for DH Richard
-
I'm up, I'm up - nine hours of good sleep.
-
Condolences to Jrand and JohnG.
-
We seem to have a dearth of postings, oh, yes, we seem to have a dearth of postings.
-
You'd think it was Mother's Day or something.
-
The publisher is aware of the Amazon situation but they're not there on the weekend. I'll write again tomorrow. I think the reason the hardcover icon finally showed up was because of them - but it's meaningless if it can't be purchased.
-
Just reading DR ChasSmith's proposed calendar gives me the heebie jeebies. I don't know what those are exactly, but they seem apt.
-
The state of the yard after so much rain.
-
Yard 2
-
Plumbago!
-
A good many roses, hydrangeas and jasmine in bloom.
-
Plus other beauties.
-
But they didn’t take us to page four.
-
Still on three.
-
Fiddle-dee-dee.
-
By the pricking of my thumbs.
-
Something four-ward this way comes.
-
But not quite yet.
-
We must make fo with what we’ve got.
-
And what we’ve got is more work.
-
Puuuuush!
-
Four!
-
Hello, 1 guest.
-
Thank you, all, for the vibes for Richard. He’s about to start drinking the Kool-Ade :P
-
Vibes for Richard.
-
Been listening to Wise Guys over the last two days. It’s better than Bounce. But it isn’t very good.
-
Check out JohnG's wonderful Sami review, which has finally appeared on Amazon many days after he posted it.
-
Thanks for the condolences.....I talked to Jim's wife today and of course she said people are talking to her, but she really doesn't know what they're saying.....which is understandable.
-
Page Four.
-
Watching some baseball......
-
And I shall work on my lines.
-
Those are gorgeous shots, DR John G.
-
I think gardening would be rewarding. I just don't know the first thing about it.
-
Nice Sami review, too.
-
Page four is rough.
-
You'd think it was Mother's Day or something.
-
Made Wacky Noodles again - they were good.
-
Just didn't feel like ordering in. No deals today, anyway.
-
Trying to find some damn thing to watch.
-
I could do another Jackie Chan movie but I'm bored of that stuff right now.
-
Meanwhile, get me off this damn page.
-
It is going on a bit, isn't it?
-
Well - taking a page out of DR George's playbook...
-
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
-
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
-
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
-
These are a few of my favorite things
-
Cream-colored ponies and crisp apple strudels
-
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
-
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
-
These are a few of my favorite things
-
Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
-
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
-
Silver-white winters that melt into springs
-
These are a few of my favorite things
-
When the dog bites
-
When the bee stings
-
When I'm feeling sad
-
I simply remember my favorite things
-
And then I don't feel so bad
-
Don't you feel better now?
-
I know I do.
-
Now that we're on page five.
-
Sakes alive.
-
Shall we have a sing-a-long?
-
A regular ole' hootenanny?
-
A jamboree?
-
A sing round the ole' campfire?
-
Britbox has anthologized their coverage of the Coronation - about 9 hours' worth - with "Season One, episodes one, two, and three."
I find that frightfully amusing.
;D
-
Shall we foxtrot?
-
Or do the Vatican Rag?
-
:)
Awww.
-
Shall we shuffle off to Buffalo?
-
Shall we roll out the barrel?
-
And also this:
Nice.
-
Shall we perform "Shipoopi"?
-
Home Sweet Home.
-
Shall we do the watusi?
-
Very good, DR Jane.
-
Up the ole' wazoo?
-
One more.
-
Mother’s Day greetings! It’ll be a low key one here because Richard’s having some medical tests tomorrow and has had his last solid food until they’re over. He probably won’t get much sleep tonight :P
Sending good vibes to Richard.
-
SIX!
-
If I forgot to offer them earlier, ~~~MEDICAL VIBES~~~ for DH Richard!!!!!
-
We stopped to eat on the way home. We figured it would be a slow time of day at the restaurants near us. It was an hour wait at both McMenamins & Beaches so we went to Red Robin. The food and drinks aren't as good but it was cool and we were seated right away.
-
We splurged and had onion rings. Those were good.
-
I had Keith take a cooler, and clean blouse for me to change into.
-
I took my jeans and a different pair of shoes out of my suitcase and changed while we drove back from the airport.
-
Baked onion rings are healthier but somehow just don't quite measure up.
-
It is 90 degrees here and I needed to dress cooler, plus I wanted out of the close I wore on the plane and around Freyja.
-
~~~VIBES~~~ that you remain healthy after your trip, DR Jane.
-
Travel vibes for DR JANE!
They worked, thank you.
-
Thank you, all, for the vibes for Richard. He’s about to start drinking the Kool-Ade :P
:P
-
You'd think it was Mother's Day or something.
One son took me to the airport, and we had a long video chat this afternoon with the other one.
-
Don't you feel better now?
Yes.
-
I know I do.
:)
-
Shall we have a sing-a-long?
;D
-
Very good, DR Jane.
Thank you.
-
Baked onion rings are healthier but somehow just don't quite measure up.
These were definitely not baked.
-
~~~VIBES~~~ that you remain healthy after your trip, DR Jane.
A big thank you for that one.
-
There was way too much breathing, coughing, and sneezing up close in my face.
-
'night
-
We could do another song, I suppose.
-
But I'm tired.
-
I guess I can muster enough posts
-
To get us to another page.
-
Painful as they may be to read.
-
To peruse
-
To decipher
-
To unencrypt
-
To digest
If DR vixmom were to tell us about her NYC jaunt, that would fill up a few pages.
-
Good night, friends.
Lovely flowers, John! All of them!
-
Took Mrs Rodz and the little Skis to a bird sanctuary for a Mother’s Day hike. Then we ate at Milestone’s, a good Canadian chain. Twas a lovely day.
-
Vibes for Richard.
~~~Super Ditto!!~~~
-
Been listening to Wise Guys over the last two days. It’s better than Bounce. But it isn’t very good.
If you haven't read it, Sondheim goes into the four, count 'em, FOUR versions of the show with all the title, lyric, and plot changes in his book, Look I Made a Hat (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/030759341X).
-
It's quite fascinating.
-
Check out JohnG's wonderful Sami review, which has finally appeared on Amazon many days after he posted it.
I did, and it was!
-
Don't you feel better now?
But of course! ;D

I do not care for page seven.
-
Finished the Jackie Chan thing.
-
Moving on to something else.

I read it before. But thanks for reminder. I’ll read it again.
-
Hand on ice.
-
It’s been a long dance day.
-
Three hours in the morning, four in the evening.
-
Gratuitous post 201!
-
Started listening to The Covenant of Water.
-
It’s Oprah’s latest selection. It’s 31 hours long.
-
I’m not even 10% of the way in. But I am enjoying it so far.
-
We need to get off this page.
-
Only a few more posts.
-
I don’t want to think about tomorrow morning.
-
I have lunch packed up. Including a nice slice of pie.
-
Uno mas.
-
Eight!
-
Hello
-
Was it me you’re looking for?
-
I am home again, home again
-
Jiggity jig
-
There is much to tell
-
But it must wait until another day
-
Because I can barely keep my eyes open
-
I have breezed through the past few days posts but must peruse them more carefully
-
But my condolences to John G. and to JRand on the losses of their friends.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Medical vibes for DH Richard.
-
Condolences to Jrand and John G.
We are all losing far too many friends.
-
More tomorrow
-
I've decided to send a small donation to a cat shelter near Tacoma in TCB's memory. For Zen, I'm thinking about a small memorial for the garden.
-
Happy Mother's Day to all who celebrate.
-
TTFN.

I've decided to send a small donation to a cat shelter near Tacoma in TCB's memory. For Zen, I'm thinking about a small memorial for the garden.
Those are lovely memorials.
-
Good night, all.
-
I've decided to send a small donation to a cat shelter near Tacoma in TCB's memory. For Zen, I'm thinking about a small memorial for the garden.
That's so sweet.
-
Today, the family went to my mom's for Mother's Day.
-
We all got my mom gardening tools and she was very happy.
-
We got her several things for which she needed replacements, so that was good. :)
-
We ate bagels and cream cheese and lox (no lox for me, though) and other assorted food stuffs.
-
We also played two games of Phase 10...and I won both!! :D
-
Phase 10 Domination!
-
Doesn’t even let mom win a game on Mother’s Day!
-
Doesn’t even let mom win a game on Mother’s Day!
All's fair in love and Phase 10..."family" doesn't mean anything when playing cards. ;)
-
Writing some notes. Maybe they'll be done by midnight.
-
Maybe we'll be on page nine by midnight.
-
And then after midnight we're gonna let it all hang out.
-
Maybe by midnight we'll be to page ten.
-
Unbelievable. Not a single post in thirty minutes. Where's George, for example. Because the ONLY rabbit hole I want to hear about is reading a book. Not a single damn post.
-
Not one.
-
Let alone two.
-
While I was slaving away over some notes.
-
Not even a partial post.
-
Not even a parcel post.
-
Not even a New York Post.
-
Not even a hitching post.
-
Not one damn post.
-
Except mine.
-
I'm the only one on this damn page.
-
Nobody here but me.
-
Amazing, ain't it.
-
I look forward to the excuses.
-
AARRGGHH!! I fell asleep on my recliner. ::)
-
Has anyone noticed that there was not a single post in thirty minutes?
-
I have.
-
I look forward to the excuses.
It's not an excuse...just an explanation. :-\
-
You many not use the tired excuse of falling asleep.
-
You many not use the tired excuse of falling asleep.
But it happens!
-
Never sit in a recliner before midnight.
-
After midnight, you can let it all hang out and recline all you like.
-
Never sit in a recliner before midnight.
I was there since around 9:30...LONG before midnight.
-
You can even eat gefilte fish.
-
You can even eat gefilte fish.
Nope.
-
Earlier, I bought a couple of power cords to charge the rechargeable batteries for her small chain saw.
-
She had one, but somehow misplaced it and hasn't been able to find it in a couple of weeks.
-
And herring in sour cream.
-
I just hope that what I bought will actually work for her batteries.
-
New notes are up.
-
Oh, look! It's Page Ten!!
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
New notes are up.
Time to do some notes reading.
-
I wrote them.
-
I wrote them.
One would hope. ;)
-
And isn't it time for George to finish a book?
-
I think it's time.
-
And isn't it time for George to finish a book?
I hopefully should shortly.
