Well, you've read the notes, the notes put the gold in Goldsmith, and now it is time for you to post until the golden cows come home.

And the word of the day is: ENGENDER!

Uh oh...Unusually early heat wave in Pacific Northwest tests records (https://www.msn.com/en-us/weather/topstories/unusually-early-heat-wave-in-pacific-northwest-tests-records/ar-AA1b88Cj?OCID=ansmsnnews11). :o
-
Good morning, friends.
-
It's got to be the morning after.
-
What am I, Maureen McGovern all of the sudden?
-
Awaiting DR vixmom's report breathlessly.
-
The box o' candy treats circa 1936 has been sent off to my mother for her birthday next week.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept very well, but I would not have minded another hour or two. Twice in my life I have gone to bed on a Friday night and slept through to Sunday morning. When I was in college and did summer theatre, I was up at 7:00am, worked till noon at the library, worked at the theatre until 7:00pm, ran the show, and then partied until 2 or 3am. When it ended in mid-August, I then went home to Mom and Dad and slept until it was time to go back to school in early September.
-
That schedule would kill me today.
-
I, too, wait for Vix-report on her whirlwind NYC trip.
-
DR Ginny, I'm sending Richard good wishes for today's procedures.
-
Good morning, all.
-
An early one for me, because it's time to start the first day of the last three days.
-
And......of course it's Day Five on Amazon. :)
-
Good morning, all.
-
Good morning
-
I’m so not ready for Monday.
-
And......of course it's Day Five on Amazon. :)
We’ll see how long mine takes. Posted it last night.

The opaque white fog blocking any view out the window when I first arose is dissipating.
-
The opaque white fog in my brain, not so much.
-
Aren't you glad you use Dial?
-
Prell: I was flat till I went fluffy.
-
I can remember advertising slogans from 45 years ago, but I can't remember why I went to the next room.
-
Happy Birthday to the graaetest, Jason Graae.
-
Happy Monday to you all.
-
At least, I think it's Monday.
-
There is no pie in my lunchbox.
-
Which is smaller than a breadbox.
-
Does anyone still use a breadbox?
-
I saw a recipe yesterday for braided pesto bread that looked good.
-
There is no bread in my lunchbox, either.
-
cue sad trombone
-
Perhaps it is time for my morning gruel.
-
Please sir, I want some more.
-
I don’t remember Mom putting bread in her bread box either.

There is no pie in my lunchbox.
Sorry, but there is pie in my lunchbox.

There is a new film out called Crater written by one John Griffin. He plagiarized that name.
-
I filed a complaint with PayPal.
-
Who did the score?
-
Monday - I am working a bit on the service speech....which happens on Wednesday.
Thanks to all for their nice comments for Jim and his family.
-
We are also doing pages 27-50 tonight which means more water in the face.
-
There was going to be some lawn mowing at my house - but it is a rainy day - so my guess is that it will be postponed.
-
I shall have to do some thinking about the TOD.
-
Happy Birthday to the graaetest, Jason Graae.
Ditto!! :D
-
At least, I think it's Monday.
It is...all day, even!

There is no pie in my lunchbox.
Darn. :(

How rude! >:(

TOD: Fave Goldsmith is “Freud” which I have on an LP from 1977 on Citadel Records, a bootleg, basically. It didn’t come out officially until the ‘90s.

Also, good morning!

From DR Rodzinski:
Took Mrs Rodz and the little Skis to a bird sanctuary for a Mother’s Day hike. Then we ate at Milestone’s, a good Canadian chain. Twas a lovely day.
It sounds like a perfect Mother's Day to me.
-
There's gold in them thar hills!
-
Thank you Gerorge. I just asked Keith to turn the air conditioning off as it was blowing on me or I will be sick for sure.
-
DR Vixmom I also crashed last night, and I still need another 100 hours of sleep.
-
From DR Jeanne:
I've decided to send a small donation to a cat shelter near Tacoma in TCB's memory. For Zen, I'm thinking about a small memorial for the garden.
This is very nice, and you obviously took the time to find the small cat shelter.

I found an obituary for Tom. I still expect to his his late night posts.

I was very glad I asked Keith to take me a light weight blouse to change into. I was already very warm from the flight.
-
I wore my light rain coat on my trip out. Fortunately there was room in my suitcase once I took out the gifts for Freyja and I didn't have to carry it home.
-
The box o' candy treats circa 1936 has been sent off to my mother for her birthday next week.
Exciting.

DR Singdaw I am curious what your mother's reaction to the individual candies is.

Thanks for posting this, Jane.
-
DR Jrand, how is your arm?
-
I will be sure to let you know, DR Jane. Of course, the prime "candy" age would have been when she was around 10, and since we were just coming out of WWII, candy was probably in quite short supply.
-
Yes - thanks very much for posting the link about DR TCB.
-
Loved this memory that one of his friends posted:
One memory is at college where he was a DJ on the college radio station. I was visiting one evening and at midnight he was supposed to play the Star-Spangled Banner and go off air. We could not find the tape, so we sang the song together over the air. He could certainly sing, I could certainly not.
-

I didn't think about that.

-
I didn't see the comments to read. I will look for them now.
-
Hmmm, I only see one memory and it isn't the one Singdaw shared.
-
What a lovely obituary for Tom. I think I will make a contribution to the young actors' fund in his memory

Thank you.

Had the same thought, Vixmom.
-
lets get to ...
-
page 4!
-
Don't have AC here. It's not that common. But recurring heatwaves are making it seem like a good idea. Maybe I'll get a little window unit.
Today is just lovely, however.
-
The question about Jerry Goldsmith is, did he ever turn a project down?

My sister Brigitte sent a photo today of herself; one of her daughters, Heike; Heike’s older daughter, Steffi; and Steffi’s three daughters, Leah and the twins, Hanna and Emma. Four generations. Only Mom was missing in the lineup.

Here they are

I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.
-
Greeted by an auto renew from Go Daddy for a site we haven't used for, I don't know, ten YEARS - for the LACC alum association, which doesn't exist anymore. Sixty bucks down the drain - I am FURIOUS about it and may call them and see if they'll refund as I got no notice of it unless it went into junk.
-
Then the helper tells me she can't find A Boy Named Charlie Brown - we must have 500 of them left. She's done this before and I end up going there and finding them in five seconds. I told her to look again - I have some here but it's ridiculous.
-
That's been my morning so far.
-
Well, not morning.
-
I'm gonna shower and wash this crap down the drain.

Hmmm, I only see one memory and it isn't the one Singdaw shared.

And not too long ago, I came across a short video that had SEVEN generations of women!! :o

Nice family photo.
-
I'm back from the day's rehearsals and a quick trip to the supermarket. I have to assemble the trash and take it down to the road, and then I am DONE, baby.
-
Tracking a friend on FB, her husband is at the children's hospital with their daughter (friend is home sick) while they run tests to determine if the kid has an appendicitis or something else.
-
I hope they get the results soon.
-
They refunded me the dough but of course it could take seven days to show up - with PayPal debit they take the money instantly so I'm out that until the refund shows up. VERY annoying. I got rid of that domain and will also rid myself of the outside the box domain as we haven't used that in over a decade now.
-
Guess I'll just make more pasta for today, unless I go out and get something, which I may do.

At least she is sleeping while they continue to wait for the test results.

Hopefully there will be news by the time I return from my walk in the 98 degree temps.

We will try and stay in the shade.

GoDaddy.

DR JANE my arm is much better.....still a bit sore in spots, but coming along.
-
I just looked at my schedule and I realize that both water throwers are out tonight.....so I might remain dry.
-
And there has been a cast change - and any annoying person has joined us......any of the others who auditioned would have been more fun and not such a PILL.
Oh well.
-
Leaving in a few minutes. I shall return anon.
Glad to hear DR CHAS SMITH's day has settled down.

What a coinky-dink!
On This Day in 1940, the first McDonald's fast food restaurant opened. Maurice "Mac" and Richard "Dick" McDonald opened McDonald's Bar-B-Q in San Bernadino, CA. Today, it is the world's largest fast food chain.

It is time for me to ask Keith to adjust the ceiling vent in my office. In the winter I want the heat blowing on me. I do not like the cold air blowing directly on me.

I am super tired and ready to go to bed for the night. Of course that isn't happening.

I had to look up Jerry Goldsmith. Films I liked that had his scores, though I don’t remember the scores:
The Ballad of Cable Hogue
Chinatown
The Shadow
LA Confidential
Seven Days in May

Michael Spyres's first solo album was called "Baritenor" because he can sing in both ranges.

Due to recent heavy rains, the Mississippi is going to crest again, only slightly lower, at the end of this week.

Really?? Who'da thunk it?? ::)

Did some gardening before dinner. Then I had to have a nap.

I wasn't expecting rain today.

Finally, at 2:30 am the daughter is home without surgery. I suppose I will have to wait until tomorrow to know if there was a diagnosis. This process began at noon. They must be exhausted.

Thanks, DR Jane.

Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf?
-
Hüsker Dü.

So sad to be all alone in the world.

Did you lay down in the flower beds?
Thankfully no. It started to drizzle while I was dozing.
-
Singdaw left us in our time of page seven need.
-
I'm worthless tonight.
-
I barely finished last week's mini crosswords.
-
Not in the mood for a movie.
-
I think I'll take a bath and chill for a while with a book.
-
But first let's get a few more posts on page seven.
-
I've started listening to Jay's recording of 110 in the Shade.
-
Liking the overture.
-
Love the score.
-
Karen Ziemba is Lizzie.
-
Saw her in Sami recently.
-
It was a post.
-
Don't laugh.
-
Don't cry.
-
Gratuitous post 200!
-
And I'll leave the last few to someone else with a little more to say.
-
Yikes.
-
No one had anything to say.
-
I started reading An Admirable Point! A Brief History of the Exclamation Mark!
-
A little goes a long way.
-
But I managed the intro and first chapter, which are about 50 pages. Not quite a third.
-
The Italians gave it to us.
-
Go figure.
-
Next!

Hello, 1 guest!

That was really cool!
-
For SitPwG, I'll also be wearing two different pairs of glasses, both of which are mine, so I'll be able to see!
-
I also wore both these glasses when I was in Mamma Mia! last year. :)
-
They’re stars, George.
-
Good night, all.
-
They’re stars, George.
They are, John! They are!
-
You realize you wearing the same glasses means that Mamma Mia! and Sunday in the Park… occupy the same theatrical universe. You’ve unintentionally created a crossover!
-

That was the point. ;D
-
Me so sleepy…
-
Finished with my viewing and with somewhat irritating day.
-
I did get the refund from Go Daddy and the money is back in my PayPal account, so that's peachy. My Amazon refund will take up to a week, which, given the amount of time I spent dealing with it, is the most irritating of all.
-
And now to write some damn notes.
-

Irritating as it is, at least you're finally getting your money back.

This YouTube video is from The Meidas Touch (https://www.youtube.com/@MeidasTouch), which is made up of working lawyers, and this video has a BOMBSHELL!!
BREAKING: New lawsuit reveals BOMBSHELL allegation against Donald Trump and Rudy Giuliani (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7l2BNfbpZ0)
:o
-
Michael Popok of Legal AF reports on a new bombshell lawsuit filed against Rudy Giuliani not only claiming “under oath” that he is a serial predator and sexual abuser, but that he participated in a pay-to-play criminal scheme with Trump in which they were selling pardons for $2 million a pop with plans to split the money. Attention: Jack Smith.
-
Hopefully, Jack Smith can REALLY do something with this info!!
-
And this is a video from Lawrence O’Donnell who also discusses this most recent "development":

-
Wow...it's been quite warm all day, and right now I hear what sounds like thunder!
-
WTTH?? :o
-
I didn't notice any clouds at all, but maybe some have developed since the sun went down.
-
I don't know, but it's time for the...
-
PAGE NINE DANCE THUNDER DANCE!! :D
(https://mountainhealthfoundations.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/dance-thunder-featured.jpg)
-
Page nine it is.
-
Barely.
-
And I do mean barely.
-
I don't mean bearly.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
New note are up and George is down - some rabbit hole.
-
Weird! It's been thundering off and on for the last 10-15 minutes! :-\
-
Look, less than eighty posts to a new fun number.
-
New note are up and George is down - some rabbit hole.
Yup...listening to the VERY rare and continuing thunder!
-
I'm a fun number myself, but that's another story.
-
We have no thunder here. It was like summer here.
-
And?
-
Why?
-
I can't imagine.
-
I have imagined in the past and probably shall do so in the future.
-
Imagine that.
-
I must shower.
-
And wash yesterday off of me.
-
I simply must.
-
Apparently the thunder is very interesting.
-
As thunder goes.
-
When we first moved to Washington in the 1970s, there were times where there was thunder but it was so rare that people reportedly thought that it was noise from Fort Lewis!
-
We're actually pretty close, aren't we?
-
I think we are.
-
Are we?
-
Is there gaslighting going on?
-
See?
-
Look, less than eighty posts to a new fun number.
Cool! I just hit a momentous number, too!
-
Oh, look! It's Page Ten!!
-
And the thunder is STILL happening!!
