DR GEORGE if your car was a pinball machine you would have won 1000 points!
Last night I watched the extras on the blu-ray of Dragonslayer, one of my favorite fantasy films. Tonight I'll watch the movie.
I like DR ELMORE's list for the TOD.

In 6th grade, our teachers showed us Dragonslayer. They had to warn us up front that there was a brief bit of nudity (very important in that it revealed a character was not who they said they were). We were so excited thinking we were going to see something dirty. It lasted like 2 seconds and we could barely see anything. Nowadays, the teachers would probably be fired.
A bit of silliness occurred to me yesterday, and I should have posted it but thought it too silly. Sadly, it became something of an ear worm overnight and I must get it out of my system:

The Kritzerland show looks great! I wish I could be there.
We were never friends, but I was friendly with Peter MacNicol in the early 1980s. He was doing Crimes of the Heart on Broadway at the time.
Love the coat, DR George!

Would it be OK to play the "Music of the Night" phantom chords underneath the last held note of "Silent Night"?
Last night, the costumer said the pants and vest might change
Having just spent a little time with Cradle, I tend to think of DR George's and his partner's character names as Mr. Mister and Mrs. Mister.
Yep. Mr. and Mrs. Mister.
Okay, never mind. I'll show myself out.

Audible guffaw, not that I’m laughing at George’s problem, which I hope is just a sensor-tree or something that can easily be replaced.
Here it is, World!

I just left a message with the guy at the dealer. Hopefully, he'll call back sooner rather than later.

Just don't touch the coat.
I'm now here at the dealer and the error lights are still on, so that bodes well for them to get the correct codes to diagnose what the heck is going on!
Tuesday afternoon greetings! I spent about an hour at the AAUW garage sale site unpacking the stuff I’d taken in to donate. While there I administered first aid to one friend who’d scraped her hand and commiserated with another who’s about a month ahead of us in the process of moving to Mount Pleasant.
Victoria Day in neighboring BC. My kids attend school in Canada so they had a long weekend while next weekend will be a normal weekend for them.
Jerry: “Why?”
Appointment completed. That was painless!!
I compiled this list of people whose garage sales Jane Lassner would not bother to stop at.

We watched Little Big Man in class. The bathtub scene would probably have gotten that teacher fired.

I got a call! I'm off to the dealer, with hope in my heart!! ;)

Finally got the Amazon explanation about the hardcover - it's on them - a technical glitch for any ISBN starting with the three numbers the my book starts with - and that's thousands upon thousands of books, from print on demand to traditional publishers. They're fixing it in "batches" and so we simply don't know when they'll finally order it and have it in stock - but they're real sorry.

Thank goodness, DR George.
Are you going to get delicious, fresh French pastries at every performance, DR George? For realism, of course.

Is this person pleased with the process?
Do you know other people who live there?
Waiting in another emergency clinic. The pain got bad.
Vibes for DR GEORGE and his dealer - as it were.
Another fun announcement later today.
George, I am sorry about your new car issues. Vibes they get sorted out and fixed.
Fortunately my cough is a little better today and she said my lungs sounded ok.

Everything is improved by applying fresh whipped cream.

I thought it was the Amazon thing.
The Post Office still can't find my package. At least it was insured, so eventually I'll get reimbursed. I hope.

So, they're going to keep my car as long as they need it.
I was given a 2024 Crosstrek as a loaner, so that's good.
Those will also be cleaned each night so that fresh whipped cream can be sprayed onto them each night.

I think she’s a lot more demanding than I am.QuoteDo you know other people who live there?
Oh, yes. Some in houses, some in apartments, some in assisted living, and (alas) some in memory care.

Do you have to eat the whipped cream? I know Bruce would be happy eating, I would not.

I was looking at a picture of a Crosstrek and imagining Mister Mister driving it.
Faux pastries should be against the law!
GREASE lost its Cha Cha DeGregorio....no real explanation except: "I'm outta here....."
So there you are.
DR ViXMOM would you like to fly in and take over the role?
Sami is Emmy eligible!!
Thinking about Florida today, and remembered this quote:
Ignorance is the absence of knowledge.
Stupidity is the rejection of knowledge.
Hoping for better news from DR George and DR John G.
And I was looking at Nellie's costumes one day....and inside on the label....was written the name Jodi Benson!
It didn't hurt that the Lt. Cable I cast was drop dead handsome.
DR singdaw won't see the picture until tomorrow.

Jeez, for a minute I thought my brain really had crashed - I found an ad for the preview of Capricorn One the week before it came out on June 2, 1978 (NOT 1977 as the imdb would have it - they put December of 1977 as its release date and say it came out in Japan - well, really? Not a Japanese film and I doubt it was even finished by then). And yes, while they didn't have the title in the almost full page preview ad, they did have the graphic and ad line. And it was at the National. How could I be that off? But then I went back to April, two months before the release and voila - preview at the Village. The same kind of ad but no graphic - just the ad line. So, whew, and glad my memory is still mostly working. Interestingly, both previews were in 70mm.
DR RON PULLIAM let the day go by - but his lawn is mowed.

So the Capricorn preview was at the National? My memory has me seeing it at the Bruin. Is that where it played? If not, that part of my own brain crashed long ago.
I still have no idea why I didn't go to see Parallax. Though it's not impossible that I did. When I watched it years later, a few scenes did seem familiar.
George must have gone down a damn rabbit hole.
