Well, you've read the notes, the notes were both singular and unique, and now it is time for you to post until the singular and unique cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: RAUCOUS!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
I was able to copy this before yesterday got locked:
But nooooo - nor have we seen any Preview Harvey review - I wonder if he even remembers anything about what he read.
Of course, I do! I'll work on it now!
-
Notes inhaled. Consumed.
-
I want softcover to go with my other BK books, but don’t want to deal with Amazon.
-
As I suspected, the last day of 17 pages of posts was Oscar night which went to a 26th page.
-
Well, that didn't take long to post:
https://www.amazon.com/review/R2LT0J2LYZUT9H/ (https://www.amazon.com/review/R2LT0J2LYZUT9H/)
-
Wow, that WAS fast considering how awful Amazon has been lately.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Around 6:45 Amazon Fresh arrived. Everything is put away except for a bag of cans and chips.
-
Can I ask you, please, to sign this petition. I am so angry about this:

-
Good morning, friends.
-
Yikes, DR Jrand72 - how awful! Glad the hospital said you are going to be OK.
But that is taking GOES WRONG to a whole new level of realism.
-
Keeping my nose clean and my powder dry. Or something like that.
-
BK, if you like contemporary opera, you might find this interesting. It's released today on Apple Music (iTunes):
-
I think there are many video clips on YouTube to sample.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I slept fairly well. I did not dream of exclamation points.
-
You may remember my asking for vibes for my friend Peter Foley who died in 2021. There is a New Yorker piece about him:
https://www.newyorker.com/culture/cultural-comment/a-gifted-composer-gone-too-soon?fbclid=IwAR0ET74yCsGbrQ-aDqpoD7r6KhdlqZ7vnXIzx6UBiq1ntwVZG_eX3i0LmLU
-
Good morning, all.
-
It is Friday, and it’s finally a day that feels like the right day to me.
-
Psammophile
The winning spelling bee word.
-
Last night’s concert was good for all concerned, and I am DONE.
For a while.
I play a church service on the 18th, and a little concert thing on the 27th. And as of now I don’t even have a single thing coming up in July.
-
Good Morning.
I believe it's Friday, because BK told me so.
I was sure yesterday was Thursday, because I had an appointment (which I kept) and all was well except that I over-exerted myself and was very tired. At some point last evening, I began believing it was Friday and planning my Saturday. I did eventually come back to Thursday!

In a little while I have my checkup at the dermatologist, then I’m home for the day.

Rodzinski:
52 FIRST COUSINS?
Absolute first cousins? Not cousins of first cousins (which are 1st cousins once removed)?
My dad was the youngest of 8, and on his side I have 12 absolute firsts (2 are deceased). Three on my mother's side (she had one sister).
How many aunts and uncles????
-
It’s going up to 91 or thereabouts today, so it’ll definitely be time to turn on the A/C. We got through yesterday okay without it, but you only get one day of grace.
But then it drops tomorrow for a high of 65, go figure. And that’s it for a while.
-
Jack Randall:
You stepped on a screw?
OUCH!
A tetanus booster?
OWEE!
How do you feel this morning?

What an excellent piece. Glad I got past the paywall. Thanks for sharing.
-
I did not have the best night's sleep last night.
Don't ask me why, but I am going to tell you why.
I think it's because I was so tired that I was actually too tired to relax.
I am a bit sore and slow this morning. And all because I pushed a cart through the noontime throngs of customers at CostCo rather than riding an automated cart for the first time in more than one year.
I know some of you go out for walks and love it. I used to love it. But I haven't done it in a long time, and it's going to be a while before I crave the exertion again.

It is hotter there than here.

Vibes for JRand. I have a screw loose. I hope I don’t step on it.
-
To be absolutely precise — and we must be precise, mustn’t we? —
DR Jrand72 said — and I quote:
it was a short screw.....as screws go.
-
My foot is fine.....it has been washed again and a new bandage applied - after Bactine - and fresh socks.
So life goes on.
Thanks, everyone!
-
Lots of nice and interesting links already this morning.
-
Luncheon vibes for MR BK.
-
Temps headed for 91 degrees here....we shall see.
My restarted modem seems to be functioning well.
-
And now that I've landed on page 2, let me say I am really enjoying my cup of coffee. "Morning Joe" is playing in the background.
The debt ceiling has been raised, officially. Joe is praising both Biden and McCarthy for quietly getting things done while the press and Congressional flibbertigibbets were loudly proclaiming pending disaster.
The president had a fall yesterday at the Air Force Academy. Why? A sandbag was on the floor of the platform he needed to cross to get off the stage. Asked about it later as he was departing, he yelled out "I was sandbagged".
Reports are that he is okay. He continued doing things "after the fall", meeting and greeting,
I recall Gerald Ford had several well-covered tumbles during his time in the Oval Office.
-
Glad to hear that at last DR CHAS SMITH is enjoying his free time.
-
To be absolutely precise — and we must be precise, mustn’t we? —
DR Jrand72 said — and I quote:

We'll have to take his word for that, then.

At least he didn't step on a .... well, you know.
-
Our annual Open House at the theeder is Sunday.....and the GREASE crush begins....I am hoping it will soon be over!
-
Today is the day of the mini HHW reunion Northwest edition.
-
I got a lot of LPs for wall decorations in the theeder for GREASE....as DR RODZINSKI says the competition for vinyl at the Goodwill/Thrift Store is fierce.
So it took a few trips to get enough to serve the purpose.
If you watch this short interview with the GREASE director during a tech rehearsal, you can see a couple of the LPs on the wall. The interview turned out to be more of a monolog because she's not very interesting....as cousins go....or directors.

Trump and DeSantis continue to say uncomplimentary things about one another.
Maybe they will destroy each other's chances for getting a GOP nomination. They are both very tiresome and tiring.
-
At least he didn't step on a .... well, you know.
A marshmallow?
-
Rodzinski ….52 first cousins? I don’t think I have 52 members in my extended family.
I have 5 first cousins, well had, one passed away last year.

Back -- from the fast and easiest visit to the dermatologist ever.
My appointment was for 11:15. I checked in at 11:00, they called me in at 11:05, and I was home at 11:28. (They're only 7 or 8 minutes away.) He froze a few spots on my forehead and temples and sent me packing. This is the first time he hasn't bothered with the top of my head, and tops of heads always need attention. I'm sure he'll be back at that in another six months, but it's nice to have a break from it.
-
Have a great HHW get-together, everybody, and don't forget the photographic evidence.

I had this dream the night before last, and kept waiting and hoping it would actually come into focus for me so I could remember the context. That never happened, so for what it's worth (probably about twenty-five cents)...
It was another of what I call the "running" dream. I know other people have these, so maybe someone here will know it. You want or need to run to something or someplace, for whatever reason. And maybe you don't have your car or other transportation, so you think "I can just run or jog there", even though it might be a ridiculous distance away.
So I start to pick up my pace, but I'm remembering how running, as opposed to walking, causes the forces - whatever they are - to bog me down, so I try to very gradually accelerate. But that doesn't really work, and the running becomes a grotesque swimming type of motion, and it's like you're in quicksand, or it gets to where you're practically parallel to the ground and doing a sort of desperate crawl. At some point I'll feel the desperation from trying to move, and that will wake me up, sometimes like from a nightmare. All I remember from this one is that having to use the necessary is most likely what woke me.
But the craziest thing about this time is that I'd awakened from that dream around 3:15 a.m., and then just before getting up at 7:00 or so, I had another one - totally different - that has now escaped me but it, too, had me needing to get somewhere fast. It just wasn't quite the running thing. That one stayed clear in my memory up through yesterday noon or so, but now it's totally gone. Damn it, I want my money back.
-
Thank you Rodzinski, but Jeith ;D

Also, thanks about the photos.

Well DR CHAS SMITH - the Dream-O-Matic 6000 says that your running dream indicates that you are trying to get yourself out of a tricky situation - you must have the self confidence that you are correct and move ahead as quickly as possible.
Just do not get involved in the drama of others, that will stop you from moving forward toward what you want.
You can also look forward to a raise in pay in the next few weeks.

Hello, everyone.
-
I had a belated birthday lunch today with Jan, a girl I grew up with. Her birthday is the day after mine, but she’s a year older — 364 days older to be exact. We lunched at a Mexican restaurant not far from her house. The food was quite good, we ate on the patio, which I enjoyed, and we had lots to catch up on. We hadn’t seen each other since before Covid.
-
Here we are!!
Great picture! I like the mural in the background, too.
-
Thanks, Hitchcock!
DR Rodz, it was actually my dad who rigged up the contraption that held the birds until it was time for them to fly, but I doubt that he had anything to do with your window. Must have been a confused and errant bird.

-
A good weekend to all. (I’ve been confused on my days all week.)
TTFN.
-
Friday evening greetings! It’s very hot here in SW Ohio :P
-
It been a weird week, but Richard and I went out for a nice dinner last night and today I went to a book discussion and lunch with my friend Sharon.
-
Here we are!!
You all look great!

A bird smashed into our window the other night, cracking the outer pane of a double-paned window. The bird itself flew away without damage.
Something similar happened here last fall. Bird of prey chasing a small bird and they both crashed into our living room picture window. The little bird didn’t survive, but the hawk flew off. He left a hole in our outer pane shaped like himself, which made for a very spooky Halloween effect.
-
I am quite full and will be eating no other food.
I wish I had stopped eating.
-
First we went to Wagner's European bakery where I got cinnamon swirl bread to take home and a sticky bran muffin to wash my vitamins down.
-
Then we stopped at an Gelato, small batch shop. The delicious cone that was too cute and little for me to pass up.
-
Warning to self: Don’t start watching a movie about opening a restaurant when you’re hungry.

AND they gave me keychains!! :-*
Nice!
-
NINE!
-
As in, one more than eight.
-
But one less than ten.
-
And I am unanimous in that.
-
Looking forward to hearing about DR George's performance tonight.
-
Good night, friends.
-
If I saw I Am Love before I remembered nothing of it. It was quite good. Loved Tilda Swinton. And her boy toy was easy on the eye.
-
But it’s back to An Admirable Point!
-
Trousdale.
-
I love the lunch photo!
DR JEANNE I was also about to mention the mural.
-
I’m now listening to 42nd Street. Love, love, love Harry Warren’s music.
-
Uploaded a few recordings for the trip.

Here we are!!
Great picture! I like the mural in the background, too.
Thanks, Jeanne!
-
Intermission!
-
Good night, all.
-
I man was shot yesterday in Kokomo - can you imagine how much that hurt?
I guess I'll have to protect my Kokomo from now on if people are now shooting them.
-
DR Ron Pulliam and/or DR George, are you still watching Manifest? I see that the series finale is coming up.
I do, and the final 10 episodes were put up today. I plan on a marathon watch over the weekend.
-
Friday evening greetings! It’s very hot here in SW Ohio :P
It's hot and it's monotonous .
;)
-
Here we are!!
You all look great!
Thanks, Ginny!
-
I am quite full and will be eating no other food.
I wish I had stopped eating.
Me, too! :P
-
It was good, but I ate too much.
-
Here we are!!
That is a great photo! Did Jane give you my hug?
Yes, she did! Thanks, Vixmom! ;D
-
Looking forward to hearing about DR George's performance tonight.
We've started act two, and it's going well!
-
Uploaded a few recordings for the trip.

Something’s Afoot
KPOP
Pretty Woman
Knoxville
Just yesterday, I got the CD to Kimberly Akimbo.
-
I also have Something’s Afoot and Knoxville, but not the other two.
-
What a lovely photo of George, Jane and Keith!
-
Everyone looks very happy to be together.
I like the looks of Keith’s lunch…lots of avocados and tomatoes…yum.
What did he order?
-
I wonder if I knew Jan, since I knew Jeanne and Jane.
-
The three J's.
-
A thunderstorm has broken out. No time to put on my sleep mask.
-
Finished watching a movie I'd started, finished another one after that, and then watched as much as I could stomach of a 1972 film that I don't think ever actually played Los Angeles - I can find only one mention of it and that was at the Cannes festival in May of that year. Also checked 1973. Anyway, directed by Elia Kazan and what a sad last film it was. Shot in Super 16 and blown up, watching it you'd have thought Kazan had never been behind a camera before. It's worse than a first-time. The script is horrible, and there's no score. Yes, low budget - $100,000 - but there have been several great films made for that amount of money.
-
And?
-
Say what?
-
From DR singdaw:
“Looking forward to hearing about DR George's performance tonight.”
Me too!
-
I see several dear readers sitting there like so much fish. What's the haps?
-
Me three.
-
Wish we were all there together.
-
I had electroshock acupuncture, cupping and an intense massage today. And it seems to have helped. There were times today when I realized I was not in pain. I hope this is pointing in the right direction.
-
Now I'm listening to musique from France.
-
The power just went off.
-
I was thinking of having some electroshock therapy or a lobotomy. What do you think?
-
And now it’s back on.
-
In about twenty minutes I guess I'll write some damn notes.
-
I was thinking of having some electroshock therapy or a lobotomy. What do you think?
Only if you watch that Kazan movie again.
-
I must abed by one tonight.
-
Safari isn’t working.
-
Oh, forgot that Kazan did one more film - and it wasn't terrible - not great - but not bad - The Last Tycoon.
-
Let’s try this again. Good night, all.
-
I think The Visitors played one week in NY and that was that.
-
DR John G., I am pleased to hear that your treatments seem to be alleviating the pain.
I also hope that things are pointing in the right direction.
Sending many pain-free vibes.
-
Kazan called it a home movie and that's what it looks like. I think he's proud of that - he shouldn't be. It was the film debut of James Woods and Steve Railsback. It's based on a story that appeared in New Yorker - same story was later used as a basis for Brian De Palma's Casualties of War.
-
Good night and sweet dreams, HHW.
😴
-
I reiterate just how good the Trousdale was today.
-
Truly Trousdale.
-
Good night to Iris.
-
And now, I shall be all alone until hopefully George appears to give us the both the high-up and the lowdown of this evening. We await.
-
I was kind of yearning for a sweet earlier but I was strong.
-
I was mighty.
-
I held firm.
-
And then firm held me.
-
It was terribly moving.
-
Page eleven.
-
We are back in our hotel with the lights out.
-
George did you see us looking around for you before we left? I'm super sorry I didn't get a goodnight hug.
-
I kept Keith up most of last night and we expect to be up early tomorrow.
-
We are very glad we came up and saw DR George and the show.
-
George was wonderful, as was the entire cast including former DR Jed.
-
It was very exciting to see George and Jed on stage together.
-
After the show we got to meet both Jed and Ann in person :)
-
Then we rushed off :(
-
I only did a couple of coughs during the second act.
-
Now I am in bed it begins again. Poor Keith.
-
Here we are!!
Great picture! I like the mural in the background, too.
Thank you.
-
I love the lunch photo!
DR JEANNE I was also about to mention the mural.
Thank you.
-
I am quite full and will be eating no other food.
I wish I had stopped eating.
Me, too! :P
I guess you wouldn't have wanted to take leftovers home.
-
It was good, but I ate too much.
Yes it was good.
-
Looking forward to hearing about DR George's performance tonight.
We've started act two, and it's going well!
It all went well.
-
Will George be home soon?
-
One wonders.
-
What a lovely photo of George, Jane and Keith!
Thank you.
-
One wanders.
-
What?
-
Everyone looks very happy to be together.
I like the looks of Keith’s lunch…lots of avocados and tomatoes…yum.
What did he order?
We were. Keith said it was good.
-
I seem to be solo here.
-
I wonder if I knew Jan, since I knew Jeanne and Jane.
;D
-
Single O.
-
Ah, Jane hasn't quite left yet. That's good.
-
From DR singdaw:
“Looking forward to hearing about DR George's performance tonight.”
Me too!
He was a joy to watch.
-
I want an Almond Joy.
-
Or some damn joy period.
-
What?
-
Page twelve.
-
I had electroshock acupuncture, cupping and an intense massage today. And it seems to have helped. There were times today when I realized I was not in pain. I hope this is pointing in the right direction.
Wonderful. I had cupping to reduce scar tissue after my elbow surgery. While it hurt to have it done, it immediately gave me more mobility.
-
Will George be home soon?
There were a good number of people in the lobby when we rushed off.
-
Ah, Jane hasn't quite left yet. That's good.
I should go now.
-
I need to try and sleep. I maybe got two hours last night due to a bad headache.
-
Jane, thank you for coming tonight! It was lovely to meet you and Keith 😊
-
Page twelve.
That should give you some joy :)
-
Hi Ann. I was excited to see you there.
-
It was wonderful to finally meet you in person 💜
-
Jane, thank you for coming tonight! It was lovely to meet you and Keith 😊
It is sweet of you to stop in and post.
-
Ann! How I miss her around these here parts.
-
I'm crashing.
-
But no George. He's out supping with his fans and admirers, having a burger and fries.
-
'night
-
But no George. He's out supping with his fans and admirers, having a burger and fries.
;D
-
And?
-
Say what?
-
Why?
-
I think so.
-
Fish?
-
Turkey meat balls?
-
Shouldn't they just be called turkey balls?
-
But no George.
-
Why haven't we seen actual video evidence of what's going on in the park with George?
-
I could recount the story of The Randy Vicar and the Turkey Balls.
-
I really could.
-
But it would be very un-PC.
-
And heaven knows, we cannot have THAT.
-
Shouldn't page thirteen be lurking around here somewhere?
-
Is there gaslighting going on?
-
See?
-
George ain't coming back tonight, that's clear.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
And therefore, they can be read.
