Well, you've read the notes, the notes were workshopped, and now it is time for you to post until the workshopped cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: IMMENSURABLE!
-
Topic of the Day: yesterday, I received in the mail the new 2-CD Stage Door Records reissue of the original Broadway cast recording of Say, Darling (https://castalbums.org/recordings/Say-Darling-1958-Original-Broadway-Cast/1545#72983), starring David Wayne, Vivian Blaine and Johnny Desmond.

Good morning, all!
-
I got caught up last night in a TV program that I thought ended at 10:00. Well, it ended at 11:00, two hours after my usual bedtime. I slept quite well until around 4:00, at which time Thatch and Annabelle jumped into bed with me. I was then awake until the alarm rang at six.
-
At the moment I am quite awake, but I figure that, by this afternoon, I will be a zombie.
-
My new helper will arrive around 10:30. I haven't decided which projects we will tackle today. I have things to assemble for shipment to Miami University, a lot of book sorting for the shelf and for our DR ChasSmith to distribute to various and sundry Connecticut libraries.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Slept well, though probably not long enough. Like DR elmore3003, I was late in getting to bed last night.
-
No one mentioned my favorite Glenda Jackson performance: Charlotte Corday in Marat/Sade.
-
If a guy named Sid gives you a pep talk, you can thank him by saying, "Thanks for the pep, Sid."
-
I'll show myself out.

Good morrow. Friday morrow, that is.
We made it to Friday. The world didn't end post-indictment and very few arms are up in protest. That is great.
On this morning's "Morning Joe", Scarborough let a "s**t" escape his lips in a tirade about Trump's "my boxes" mantras. Mika fixed him with a disapproving glare and said quietly, "Joe!" Joe didn't miss a beat and the others in the discussion kept it going.
I don't know if there is an FCC repercussion, but we might hear something about it.
-
I know these things happen on live TV. I don't know if there is any fine leveled against it any longer or not.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Some of the newer revelations about Trump are that he has had an obsession with "boxes" since he was elected president. White House folks are speaking out that he had boxes he carried around from office to residential rooms every day. He carried boxes with him whenever he traveled...even overseas.
He is on video claiming the boxes contain his personal property...they are "his" boxes...his property. "My boxes".
I don't know if this is a ploy to make him seem obsessive-compulsive or actual revelation that he is OCD.

We're in for some crappy rainy weather later today and tomorrow. It remains to be seen whether this will be one of those summers that it seems to turn crappy every weekend, or one with some decent ones. We really lucked out with a great Memorial Day weekend, which doesn't happen all that often. And I think there's been one other good one. So we might be running about 50-50 so far.
-
I don't know why I posted all of that. Oh well. At least I didn't let a "s**t" escape. :)
-
I suppose I had better get dressed for some outdoors-y work, which certainly isn't going to happen over the next couple of days.
-
I also need to shop for some essentials today, or I'll be out of too many things. Must make a list.
-
Good luck to DR Elmore on the sorting and organizing today!
I need to do the same here. It's such a huge job to tackle. But I need to find a way to make myself offload some things. Got way too many of them. Things, that is. Too many things.

It seems it's going to be a bee-yooti-ful day.

Overcast morning here for Rodz Jr’s Sports Day.
-
Sports Day was very exciting when I was in grade school!
-
In dodgeball you could take out a year's frustration against someone with ONE good shot!
Not that I ever did that. 8/
-
I watched about fifteen minutes of Pwoject Wunway last night....but the contestants did not seem to be anyone I liked or wished had won.... So I didn't finish it. Like so many reality shows - it seemed to be cast to TYPE.
AND even though I think he is VERY talented and certainly deserves every moment of his success - Mr Christian Siriano is very hard to look at - at least for the likes of me.
-
I must say that the mechanics of the competition are such that once they get four or five episodes in, I may binge watch just to see how it's going.....
-
But don't worry about spoilers - I will watch anyway.
-
Today on ME TV the only color episode of the original Perry Mason show was on.....it's interesting.
And Ryan O'Neal's brother Kevin was featured as the defendant.....he certainly had more of a.....well.....dork energy than Ryan.
-
Oh well. At least I didn't let a "s**t" escape.
That we know of.
-
We had a "sports day" in our elementary school in Connecticut. Only it was called something else - can't remember what, exactly. At the end of the school year, the entire school was split into 4 teams including all the grades, and there were many events with points accruing toward the overall competition. It was a full day outside, and I remember it being fun. Even for someone like me, who detested sports of every kind.
Except swimming. I kept up competitive swimming all the way through grade 12. And the early morning before-school workouts got me out of gym for the entirety of my high school career. That alone made it worth it.
-
At least, in my neighborhood!
Is Mr. Rogers in your neighborhood?

Did you ever daydream about swimming in the Olympics?
-
At least, in my neighborhood!
Is Mr. Rogers in your neighborhood?
Not that I have heard...
-
Did you ever daydream about swimming in the Olympics?
No, but I certainly followed them. At one time, I was part of a relay team that had two spots in the top ten times in the national record books for events for our age group.
I suspect I liked swimming because, even if you compete on teams or in relays, it is an individual sport. It's really just you and the water.
-
And I am so an introvert.
-
And I am so an introvert.
I think you give yourself too little credit.
-
We have been page 2 a long while.
-
If we apply just a little effort, we can whisk ourselves over to page 3.
-
Oh, great! Singdaw disappears just as I hoped a rally would ensue.
-
A frenzy, as it were.
-
A mad rush to the finish.
-
But, it doesn't seem like it's going to happen now.
-
Or, does it?
-
A little more applied effort...
-
...and we can say goodbye.
-
Le voila!
Page trois.

From Rodzinski:
Cannot. Have to get prescriptions filled in Blaine or Bellingham.
I am surprised as I thought people cross the border into Canada and Mexico all the time for prescriptions. For several years I have been ordering, at a savings of about $94 every three months, a prescription from Canada.
That may have just come to an end if customs does not release my prescription.
-
George, congratulations on your one year anniversary.

DR GEORGE, VIBES YOU DON'T HAVE ANY MORE ISSUES WITH YOUR CAR!

DR Jeanne, thank you.

From Rodzinski:
Guy came to install our master bath shower door glass today which would finally complete a renovation that has lasted since Feb. But he brought the wrong hinges and has to order the right ones. Living where I do, this will be at least a couple weeks until he makes it back around here.
Groan.

Pie!
-
Yesterday we had pineapple-macadamia nut pie and banana cream pie. Both excellent.
-
For the chef’s table, we had six courses, all smallish plates that they served at a relaxed pace. They also gave Carol dishes different from mine, so we shared and got to try more. Favorites were a featherweight gnocchi with radish greens, roasted radish as sweet as a parsnip alongside a sweet potato-Manchego croquette and a watermelon salad topped with Maui goat cheese.
-
A dessert of vanilla icream topped with chocolate, toasted coconut and candied macadamia nuts. On the side a chocolate coated coconut marshmallow.

Sports Day was fun to witness. It’s still going on, but I had to come home and pack as I am being whisked away by the family on a Father’s Day weekend trip or event of some sort. I have no idea what it could be but the promise is that it will be one of the top 5 events of my life. I’ll let you all know.

Tonight I'm going to see another production of Urinetown - at the closest theeder to me, which is nice for a change. I just saw it a few months ago, but I seem to be enjoying it the more I see it, so what the hell. This one will be at a better standard than some of the others, and several friends are involved, so it should be a nice evening.

DR John G. is sur la plage.

DR Rodzinski - sounds exciting! Can't wait to hear all about it.

The air quality here today is down to the low 30s. I have no idea what that means, but relative to over 200, I guess that's good.

This morning we had a number of errands to do before going to the gym.

By the time we were done we didn't feel like going.

I am also appalled that ONE member of the cast is holding MR BK's project hostage.
AND I WILL NEVER BE CONVINCED THAT THE "EMERGENCY" WAS NOT SOMETHING THAT WAS UNKNOWN TO THIS ONE MEMBER.
Such theeder folks do not understand the meaning of the word committment and should NEVER be considered for a part in that organization's productions again....every director should be warned...
-
Hmmm, maybe I did more than four miles.
-
Plus one while doing our errands.

DR JANE walking four miles would send me to bed.....for the rest of the day.

My mother was born on this day in 2019.

I must admit I am jealous DR Rodzinski is being "whisked away" to some unknown event that will be one of the top five of his life.
If the top three are his wife and two children, I wonder what Mrs. Rodzinski has planned??
Or do they fall under a different category in his top life events?
The last time I was whisked away for anything other than my own planning was when I was in the Navy and was whisked away on a Western Pacific cruise that lasted six months.
It had its moments, and it was my last assignment in the U.S. Navy.
Memorable, I guess. Top event, yes.
But...not in the same league, I must say.
-
Ah, well.
-
DR vixmom, did you buy anything from Jose's storage unit?
I did not, but he kindly gifted me several unopened cassette tapes

Apart from food wrappers from every vendor and baker in the city of New York, what else did he have?

I must admit I am jealous DR Rodzinski is being "whisked away" to some unknown event that will be one of the top five of his life.
If the top three are his wife and two children, I wonder what Mrs. Rodzinski has planned??
Or do they fall under a different category in his top life events?
The last time I was whisked away for anything other than my own planning was when I was in the Navy and was whisked away on a Western Pacific cruise that lasted six months.
It had its moments, and it was my last assignment in the U.S. Navy.

Vixdad whisked me away to Florida one year for our anniversary. He told me we were going to New Orleans and the flight required us to change planes in Orlando. When we started our approach for landing I started quietly weeping .
He asked what was wrong and I said we were so close to the kids and we weren’t going to see them.
Them he revealed we were actually staying there to spend time with the kids.
Then I started crying because I was so happy.
-
How many kids do you have? Besides the vixter?
-
And, did you ever get to go to New Orleans? I'd cry if I didn't go there at all.
-
Good evening.

What a lovely thing to do. Now, I’m crying, because I find that story extremely touching. ❤️

For years this could be a difficult time for me. As the years passed it did get easier, and then at 90 when my father passed away I let go of all the pain.
I hope I have enough time left for this to get easier.
Am not doing well.
-
Visiting HHW provides me comfort.
You are all such kind and lovely people.
Thank you for letting me hang out here with you during my time of grief.
-
I know that I’m able to cover it up most of the time.
But it’s still so dark and sad in my world.
It’s been 8 weeks since I lost them. Thought I would be much improved by now, and I’m not.
-
But I will continue to work on it, if work is the right word.
My goal at the present is to get through one day without sobbing for hours, then hiding under the blanket in my bad.
-
Thank you all for listening.
Much appreciated.

Covid be gone vibes for George
Thanks, Vixmom!

PAGE TEN DANCE!!

Okay so we are staying at a lovely hotel on the water in Vancouver, BC, Canada. And we had a nice dinner and I spent time in the outdoor and indoor pools with the kids. And the big reveal is… a seaplane ride around the area tomorrow. When I think of a seaplane, the first thing that comes to mind is Fantasy Island. So off to the skies after breakfast!

Have a great time, Rodzinski!

Peace and comfort vibes for DR Iris.
-
Rodzinski, that sounds wonderful.

Back from a fun rehearsal - two days to block - insanity - especially having to at least perfunctorily stage a lot of musical numbers. But I got everything done but the last nine pages - that should take me an hour tomorrow night and then we can begin putting it all together, get two runs in on Sunday, two on Monday, and then a walk-through on Tuesday.

Came home to a frozen computer. So, the usual every two week freeze and having to boot it all up again.
-
Now I must write some notes whilst having a few gummy things.
-
Well, this is pretty cool.
-
This YouTube video about Washington state from Ben Brainard (https://www.youtube.com/@Ben_Brainard) just showed up in my random YouTube shorts feed.
-
I looked it up on his channel and found that it was part of a longer video about Washington state.
-
Here's the whole thing: Washington Joins the Table (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KehIePa9f8I). :D
-
It was posted about a year ago, and here's the description:
Rain, and apples, and tech, and Sasquatch, and tumbleweed bowling, and volcanoes, and twilight*, and the Seattle freeze! That's what it's like to live in Washington!
-
*He should've capitalized Twilight, since he was referring to the book. ::)
-
;)
-
Completely unrelated to Ben Brainard, this one is from Emerson Brophy (https://www.youtube.com/@EmersonBrophy/featured):
Republicans don't want you to vote (https://www.youtube.com/shorts/GPZtmqQSOaw)
and it includes receipts at the end ;D
-
Here's a screencap of the "receipts":

This one has been playing in my mind for days:

Still on page ten?
-
How can that be?
-
What?
-
I can't hear you.
-
Dishes are being washed in the dishwasher.
-
Just in case you were wondering.
-
And you know you were.
-
What, at one minute to midnight George goes down some damn rabbit hole?
-
What?
-
I'm a voice in the wilderness.
-
Is there gaslighting going on?
-
Gaslighting 101.
-
See?
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
