Well, you've read the notes, the notes were both exterminated and terminated, and now it is time for you to post until the terminated cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: DEBOUCH!

BK, about Morning's at Seven, just last week Larry posted a link from rarefilmm (https://rarefilmm.com/) to watch it online and here's the link:

So, when I'm in Facebook on my desktop computer and I start to type someone's name in a search, it autofills with names of people who are my FB friends. However, if I type a word that's not necessarily a name, but starts with the same letters, it will also fill in a FB friend's name. I'm sure I'm not the only one that this happens to, because EVERY time I start to type "Happy Birthday," I get this:
-
And that's going to continue to happen for forever. :-\

-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept in, to the disgust of three cats.
-
Today I must set aside the ballet to fill out a lot of forms (far too many) for Medicare and the food stamp program.
-
I suspect this will be a 2-day project, since I am a complete dunce with these forms.
-
I must also call and set up an appointment for my lab work that Dr Saltzman requested last Thursday.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Too hot to work. But work I must.
-
I am not caught up
-
Yesterday was busy m busy, busy
-
I got up early boiled three pounds of elbow noodles, fine chopped a head of celery and a couple of red peppers and made macaroni salad
-
Then I went to the BJs to pick up a cookie platter
-
Then I headed over to the church and made a 2 gallon beverage dispenser worth of ice tea
-
Organized all the salads into serving bowls and covered them all and put them all back in the refrigerator
-
The regular coffee hour person came in and made pots of coffee
-
Then I went to the service where much crying and laughing happened as we watched our beloved Pastor Flora conduct her last service with us
-
I was in the front pew and first to take communion, at which point I popped out and went back to our fellowship hall to put out all the food
-
I had been told to expect 100 people , so planned for 120.
-
We had 150
-
Fortunately I always overbuy for these things and had extra tablecloths and centerpieces when we had to set up three additional tables for 10
-
And the food stretched
-
“Fishes and loaves”, the church administrator and I said to one another as we were leaving a few hours later
-
Pastor and her husband were happy
-
The congregation was happy
-
And everyone helped clean up afterwards
-
So my luncheon for 150 was a success
-
I feel like DR Laura
-
By time I got home it was 130 pm ( I had left the house at 8 am)
-
I did a few quick cleaning things around the house and freshened up a bit, then at 3 I headed out to drive to the city
-
I had to be there at 5 , but I needed to get completely across town and downtown
-
To 11th Avenue and 16th street
-
And it was Pride parade day
-
On the way in I realized my EZ pass was missing from my windshield
-
Then I remember the Velcro had failed and it had fallen down
-
I thought I put it in my glovebox but it wasn’t there
-
Good morning to everyone. Have a great week
-
So I had to detour from my planned route of the midtown tunnel ( a toll entrance that would bring me out in the mid 30)s) to the 59th street bridge ( a free bridge) which brought me out on 62nd
-
I was right to leave early, the roads were clogged with post parade partyers
-
But I arrived at the venues parking garage at 5:02
-
And met my friends fr the show and dinner
-
Doors opened at 530 and we were first ones there ( by design)
-
So when doors opened we were able to snag the prime spot , a table right at the center, butted up to the stage .
-
And we ordered and received all our food and we’re on dessert by time the show started
-
I would have taken the train in but I knew I wouldn’t be back until after 11 and didn’t want Vixdad to have to come out so late to pick me up
-
And he doesn’t like me to Uber alone so late at night
-
Plus Uber availability is not reliable that late at night
-
The drive home was uneventful
-
But I was totally exhausted when I got home and fell into bed and immediately was asleep
-
Can’t wait to get to work and have some rest!
-
My gosh, what a day, DR vixmom!
-
Speaking of which…I had better Wordle and run
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Thanks for the recipe, DR DR Iris.
-
Now I want some enchiladas verdes.
-
DR George, you didn't mention whether or not the chickens got their roof fixed.
-

Monday morning greetings! Since everyone thought we were away this past weekend, we pretended we were and kept to ourselves. Saturday we did a couple of errands and, in the evening, watched “The Fabelmans.”
-
Also on Saturday, I spent quite a bit of time on Facebook helping my niece clear out her dad’s workshop in Michigan. My sister and her husband are also prepping for a move to a retirement home. The upshot was that, yesterday, an acquaintance of mine from elementary through high school bought a drill press and table saw.
-
Continuing in downsizing mode, I spent yesterday sorting through my Vera Bradley collection and deciding to purge about half of it. Might try to sell some next month at the weekly flea market that’s taking place at the senior center up the street.
-
Today is the big “selections meeting,” where we get to decide on the finishes for our soon-to-be home!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Monday.
'Nuff said?

I have a very busy two days ahead of me. Today I must organize and work on music for a vocal concert I'm accompanying tomorrow, and tomorrow will be insane with a rehearsal and commute to Rye, NY for the event itself. It's an hour-long (maybe a little more) thing that will manage to consume the entire day.
-
A believe-it-or-not to match BK's:
I have never seen The Terminator, either.
Let's see, what was I into when it came out? 1984 was a good year. I remember it fondly. But it actually doesn't matter what I was "into" because I sure wasn't tuned in to anything like that back then, and I wouldn't have given it so much as a thought.
I'm glad to hear it's actually good. I'll watch it soon. And seeing some 1984 locations will be wonderful.
-
Next time there's a cast par-tay or some other event where a bunch of people must be fed, I'm going to order from vixmom's.
-
Okay, I must get myself moving on some things.
Later!
-
Nice to hear that MR BK likes the play that I am directing for September.....auditions the two following the close of THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG.
The says "Today" - but I am probably going to use 1928.....1938 is just too close the war....other concerns for the families.....and of course Paul Osborn is from Indiana and i kind of like thinking that it's set in his hometown of Crawfordsville.
-
Good morn! I, too, am a member of the Never Seen The Terminator Club. Saw Terminator 2 in Clemson, SC, in the summer of ‘91 but never the original or any sequels, prequels, reboots, or re-imaginings.

So anyway....for DR JANE & DR GEORGE - everyone else can skip this post if they like.
For me, the 2016 Democratic candidate was so damaged - rightly or wrongly - that foisting this person on us was probably a mistake.
A candidate without so much baggage - rightly or wrongly - would have defeated the orange baboon by MILLIONS of votes. It would not even have been close.

White Castle!!!
-
I came back because I wanted to get DR Elmore's link for Morning's at Seven. I won't have time to watch it for a couple of days, but now I have a tab open so it'll get done soon.
-
Now I want White Castle.

If you had all showed up at DR vixmom's spread, there truly might not have been enough food to go 'round.

HA! Harvey was in my mailbox this morning.
I won't get a chance to read it until this weekend - but I am very happy to have it!
-
Good question DR JOHN G.
-
Happy Monday.
It is now the 26th of June, and what I want to know is where the heckin did the month go?
How can next week be the 4th of July already?
What the fluff?
Next thing you know it will be Labor Day.
-
I slept very well but woke up earlier than I wanted to.
And couldn't go back to sleep, although I tried.
No wisps of any dream remain.
-
I was fascinated to hear the news this morning on "Morning Joe" as the "experts" tried to make sense of what is going on in Russia, what the "understanding" might lead to between Putin and his Wagner group leader.
So many different opinions, all based upon different takes on what little we actually know.
One thing seems cerrtain: More Russians now know that their country invaded the Ukraine with no provocation.
-
The day here in Johnston SC looks rather beautiful. The temperature is currently tolerable with mild humidity.
We had a terrifically strong downpour last night. Took me by surprise since the day had been very sunny.
-
I don't know from subtle.

Nice canopy George.

I am wondering, also, why DR vixmom bought the coleslaw, but made the macaroni salad herself.
1. I've never in my life attempted to make home made coleslaw and this didnt seem.like the time to experiment.
2. There was no macaroni salad available at either BJs or Costco
3. Potato salad at the above mentioned stores was too expensive
4. Potato salad would have been too much work, macaroni salad is quicker ( and less expensive)

I must weigh in: I HAVE seen "The Terminator". I don't know what possessed me, but I did.
And it has a very nice score by Brad Fiedel.
And, I have seen "Terminator II".
Go know.

As for the all the discreet comments about the 2016 election:
If folks knew then what we know now, would HRC have been more objectionalble than DJT?

I don't think so, but then at the time she wasn't to me.

The day in Johnston SC is still beautiful.
I daresay no storms are brewing that will result in a deluge of rain such as we had last e'en.

I don't think so, but then at the time she wasn't to me.
Nor me, but I know the very idea of her was to many.

And look what we got!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In retrospect, WJC was far and away an innocent compared to DJT. IMO, of course.

I'm up, I'm up - six hours of sleep. Could use more, but...

I was up at six after two hours - upset tummy - did stuff for two hours - then went back to bed.

We are stuck behind an oversized load and can't pass.

We almost had an opportunity when the trailing car blocked us from passing.

DR Ginny, with Randy now living in Eaton, Loyce and Alan Freeman dead, and you and Tichard moving out, I am sad that I have no real reason to visit my hometown ever again. I do think myself a New Yorker and not a Buckeye since I've now lived in New York longer than I lived in Ohio.

I agree. I love Hillary Clinton and support her, but everything Jrand72 says is true. It should have been Biden eunning then.

We were going to stop for gas but are afraid of getting stuck behind it again.

I think tonight, if I dpm't screw up the schedule, we'll watch Water for Elephants.

Today is the big “selections meeting,” where we get to decide on the finishes for our soon-to-be home!
Exciting.
I imagine you’ve done this type of thing once or twice, DR Jane!
-
Excited to hear about the choices DR GINNY gets to make.
We’d already made some preliminary choices and we had to follow some institutional parameters, but I think the results will be stunning. Gray tones for walls and flooring, the lightest blue possible for the bedrooms, brushed nickel hardware & faucets, stainless kitchen appliances, and gray and white granite countertops.
-
We may be looking at an October move - yikes!

It’s only Monroe, DR Elmore…
-
My goodness, DR Ginny. Lots to do between now and then.

Very interesting orchestration on The Light in the Piazza. No violas and no brass.
-
I re-watched the PBS video of the original production and cried during the last 15 minutes all over again.

Do you ever get mistaken for twins?
I heard a rumor that they're re-making The Parent Trap with DR Jrand72 and his brother.
-
LOL....DR singdaw & DR RON PULLIAM.
Yes we do - especially when we are not together - folks ask which one we are.....
Mike does not sing or dance nor does he cavort onstage.....he tends to stay out of the spotlight.
More room for me.
-
Room Ready vibes for DR JANE.
-
Interesting to read the comments on the 2016 election.....but it is the past.....and we can't change it....
I kind of liked the changing history aspect of The Terminator and if I am remembering it correctly.....didn't he become his own father? It's been awhile since my viewing.
-
Or the father of a hero of the times? Fuzzy thinking.
DR CHAS SMITH concerning my brain....you're not far off.

I shall now hit the road.

I shall now hit the road.
I think I've heard that song before.

Good afternoon.
-
DR Vixmom, when our previous pastor retired, I was serving the croquembouche when the Distruct Executive trapped me and guilted me into serving as the district clerk for the next six years.
-
Hopefully your denomination Big Cheese didn't do the same to you yesterday.

He was very impressed by the croquembouche. He still talks about it.
-
As he should have been.

But the guilt trip was undeserved.

It was a mess, but I turned the crooked side to the wall.

The script for Love Letters is written in that creepy, creaky way that people call old-fashioned. I just think it’s arch and artificial, kinda like Ernest Hemingway’s dialogue, which I always thought was horrible.

Yes we do - especially when we are not together - folks ask which one we are.....
Mike does not sing or dance nor does he cavort onstage.....he tends to stay out of the spotlight.
More room for me.
🙂
-
We may be looking at an October move - yikes!
Wow, though I have fortunately done moves faster than that.
-
DR Ginny, vibes you get everything done before your move.
-
DR Vixmom, when our previous pastor retired, I was serving the croquembouche when the Distruct Executive trapped me and guilted me into serving as the district clerk for the next six years.
Six years was a long time.
-
He was very impressed by the croquembouche. He still talks about it.
💜
-
The pastor was not impressed. He will forever remember me for the Cherpumples.
:o
-
Starting Joy House, a Rene Clement film with Alain Delon and Jane Fonda. Lalo Schiffrin did the jazzy score.
-

Thanks, DR Jane - one way or the other…
-
Has anyone watched the series The Night Manager with Hugh Laurie?
-
When it first aired. I recall we liked it.
-
TY.
-
Nine!
-
I got the series from the library.
-
I think you will agree it is a good miniseries. Let me know if I'm right.
-
I was falling asleep while typing.
-
Keith’s phone rang and woke me up.
-
Oh, my. Cookie salad?
https://www.tasteofhome.com/article/cookie-salad/
-
It should be called cookie pudding.
-
But it’s salad. It’s a health food. As the article says, it’s served with the meal as a side dish.
-
Joy House is boring, despite good performances from Alain Delon and a young and sexy Jane Fonda.
-
Watching the end of the Jimmy Awards - teacher of the year.....I guess.
-
Inspiring teacher of the year.
-
The eight finalists!
-
"Now bring us some cookie pudding" just doesn't quite have the same ring to it.
-
Speaking of cookies and fancy pastries...
Never invite quilters to a birthday party.
-
Good night, friends.
-
"Now bring us some cookie pudding" just doesn't quite have the same ring to it.
But I still want you to bring some right here.
-
No Harvey here. Bummer.
-
The Quiet Girl is quite wonderful, just like Foster. And just as devastating. I can’t watch it all at once.
But hearing the Irish language is a real treat. The words sound wonderful and strange.
-
Glad books are arriving. They all went out on Saturday, so quick arrival is pretty amazing, actually.
-
Anxious for folks to read it.
-
I've spent almost the entire day getting the special extra thing for Preview Harvey ready, so watch your inboxes tomorrow for it.

Lol, but it sound tastier.
-
Three days now I have been without a nose pad on my glasses-ouch.
-
Tomorrow we will be able to go to an optometrist in town and see if I can get these replaced.
-
But not until the afternoon.
-
We just watched ROPE. I haven't seen it in years.
-
It really is very sad.
-
Good night, all.
-
My favorite burgers are bean burgers, or any good veggie burger. I like them on a bun (sourdough is best) with lettuce, tomato, and avocado.
-
'night
-
PAGE TEN DANCE!!
-
It should be called cookie pudding.
I agree...but I still really would like to try it. ;)

No Harvey here. Bummer.
Nor here. :-\

It'll be sent through e-mail?? Intriguing.
-
Tomorrow, I have a dental appointment.
-
It's a little later than it should've been, so we'll see how things go. ::)
-
Tomorrow night will be the first read-through of TAO's next show, The Mystery Plays by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.
-
I'll be running one of the boards, so I don't need to be there.
-
But I'm involved in the show, AND I'm on the board of directors for Theater Artists Olympia, so I can be there if I want...and I want. :)
-
And now, for something completely different...Oregon ends its 72-year ban on pumping your own gasoline (https://autos.yahoo.com/oregon-ends-72-ban-pumping-183200983.html)!
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
And now they can be read by one and all as well as all and one.
