Well, you've read the notes, the notes were both high and not so mighty, and now it is time for you to post until the high and mighty cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: FORTITUDE!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.

So cool!! You met the original Franz from Sunday in the Park with George! :D

George, that is exactly how I think of Brent Spiner!
I get some strange looks sometimes. 😄
-
George, I have many cast albums and concert recordings of CHESS.
However, now that you’ve shown me how many more exist…well…
I want ALL of them!
-
By tomorrow!
😊 😉
-
Must sleep.
Sweet dreams, all.
-
Good morning, friends.

~~~CONTINUED MODERN MAJOR MIRACLE VIBES~~~ for the likes of BK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Good morning, all!
-
Another uncomfortable and interminable night of sleep. The alarm rang at 5:30, I laughed and went back to bed. Annabelle snuggled in with me, Stella joined us, and I got up an hour later.
-
Then I went to the bathroom to find one of the cats barfed all over the rug and the floor.
-
So, I have some laundry to do, a little vacuuming, and I'm an hour behind my usual schedule which really bugs me.
-
I need a new keyboard. This one keeps sticking.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Up a little early on a Sunday morning, but in two hours we’re heading over to the AMC Dolby place to see Indiana Jones.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I feel like sleeping in. But I’m wide awake.
-
I think I woke up just about every hour through the night. But not to get up. At one point I was way too warm and I threw the covers off. Then later I was too cold and got back under them. And then a dream would wake me, and I’m not sure what any of them were now. And so it went.
-
Anti "sticking keyboard" vibes for Dr. elmore3003!
-
I'm up.
I need coffee.
It's Sunday, if my Alexa unit is to be believed.
Since my last memory was of Saturday, the chronology seems to be sound.
And it is the 9th day of July. What does everyone make of THAT??
-
I, too, had "warm" and "cold" episodes during the night, DRChasSmith.
I was flipping covers to and fro quite a bit in the wee hours of the morn.
I finally attained ambience, and slept rather decently if not perfectly.
-
Huzzah!
I have a Zoom chat this afternoon!
That always brightens my Sundays!
-
Modern major miracle vibes for MR BK.
-
Back in 1993 I sent Brent Spiner a Data baseball card and ask him to sign it - and of course I included a self addressed stamped envelope.
It came back a couple of weeks later. He had signed it with a red sharpie and some of the signature was over his red uniform and was hard to read....so he also signed the back. Two for one.
-
Happy Sunday! A new episode of the Broadway Radio Show is up on the site. I am joined by the delightful entertainer Richard Skipper as he shares his 12 Favorite Show Tunes and talks about his 44 years in show biz! It's a very fun chat...check it out!
That was nice of him.
-
I had no idea there was a Data card.
-
Keith got Wordle in two today.
-
That was before he had coffee.
-
We went to the gym early today and then stopped for coffee on the way home.
-
Who knew Data played baseball?
I know ;D
-
I just ate breakfast.
-
We will be going to the town of Sisters today to do something different.
-
I wonder where it is now? Perhaps I should look for it.
-
Then I went to the bathroom to find one of the cats barfed all over the rug and the floor.
AARRGGHH!! :o
Up a little early on a Sunday morning, but in two hours we’re heading over to the AMC Dolby place to see Indiana Jones.
In two hours from now, I'm heading downtown to usher for a local production of Falsettos. :)
I did find some other things that I can use.....and autographed photos of Nancy Kulp, Greer Garson, Red Skelton, and Lucille Ball.
I used to write a lot of fan letters.
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.
DR singdaw is keeping us alive today here on HHW.
I also found a nice glass ash tray that I can use in MORNING'S AT SEVEN.
I forgot I had it!
-
So I took from the secret spot and put it in the MORNING'S AT SEVEN drawer so even if I forget I have it - it will be there when I open the drawer....when we start rehearsals.
I have been reviewing my lines.
I thought Jrand was reading the book this weekend. And last weekend. Perhaps the twelfth of Never?
-
Very disheartening, sorry.
-
I think the only person here besides Jane who's ever started the book is Singdaw.
-
Oh well.
-
Nothing to be done about it.
-
Other than to put yourself in the place of the author, who'd love to know what people think.
-
In other news, I've eaten tuna pasta salad and am very full at the moment.
-
I did not get to the play.
-
Allergy day.
-
Where in tarnation IS everyone?
-
Fun article, DR Jrand72. Makes me want to see this production.
-
This day is flying by like a gazelle eating fruitcake in July.
I hope you find him.
I still miss my postcard from Davy Crockett aka Fess Parker.
I also found a nice glass ash tray that I can use in MORNING'S AT SEVEN.
Good.
I think the only person here besides Jane who's ever started the book is Singdaw.
Started and completed. I enjoyed it.
-
At times though I was distracted trying to remember if I had seen or worked any of the previews ;D
-
I would have .Ike to go to Sisters yesterday when they were having the big quilt show.
-
Aside from the fact Keith wasn't interested seeing the quilts, we wanted to avoid the crowds.
-
While very nice, Sisters is not a very large town.
-
We had planned to eat an early dinner there.
-
We strolled the town and browsed the shops as slowly as possible before deciding rerun to Bend.
-
If I'd known you were coming I'd have baked cake.
I did have a delicious marionberry scone in Sisters.
-
The bakery smelled and looked wonderful.
-
The gas tanks at the Fred Meyer near us were very busy.
-
Now the tank is full and the windows are clean before we head back on Tuesday.
At long last! Home for good.
There was a warm peach cobbler on the dessert buffet last night. Lackluster. Frozen peaches. The topping was better than the fruit filling.
I think the only person here besides Jane who's ever started the book is Singdaw.
I’ve been reading the book as I mentioned before
-
I have been moving non stop since I woke up this morning
I have not yet even Wordled.
Think I'll do a quick Gelson's run.
I, on the other hand, am not reading a book, but I may be writing something that could become something.
-
I am most aggrieved - but I shall begin the book next weekend once this play opens.....otherwise I might be quoting Harvey instead of Dennis.
At almost 73 - I have fewer tracks in my mind.
-
Peach sheet cake with brown sugar frosting.
Hmmm, something new to try.
-
We had a nice dinner at Gregg's Grill 9n the river.
Now we are watching Evan Almighty.
I would gladly taste it.
Blueberry cornbread. Not sure how I feel about this one.
Blackberry cornbread is quite wonderful. I’d give the blueberry version a try.
-
I’m reading. But I am reading King: A Life. I am nearing the end.
-
I haven’t read any other MLK bios, but much of the information here rings familiar. That doesn’t make it any less fascinating.
-
Or affecting. I’m sure I’ll be tearing up when we get to Memphis.
You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.
Was it Dorothy Parker who said, "You can lead a horticulture..."?
;)
I guess it was Dorothy Parker:
Page six is ridic.
-
Natch, Gloria, natch.
-
Get me off this damn page.
-
What?
-
Did someone say something?
-
I thought I heard something.
-
Maybe not.
-
Shouldn't page seven be around here somewhere?
-
Is there gaslighting going on?
-
See?
-
I do not care for page seven.
-
I'm gonna try to watch a movie now. And let's be sure we're not on this damn page when the movie is done.
-
I've spent the past three hours futzing and finessing the writing I've been doing. Normally I do that before moving on, but I really wanted to get over thirty pages in before any futzing and finessing took place. So, there was a lot to futz and finesse.
-
And the story is up. With a few photos and a video interview....sort of.
Jrand, I really enjoyed this interview!
I’ve heard that this play is hilarious.
Blackberry also sounds good.
I still miss my postcard from Davy Crockett aka Fess Parker.
My dad met Fess Parker! I remember seeing a picture of them together. :)
My parents did which is how I got the postcard. I always wanted to meet him.
-
We are watching a good hotel movie, Jurassic World
-
Blueberry cornbread. Not sure how I feel about this one.
I would gladly taste it.
I'd definitely try it, too, but I've never heard of fruit in cornbread.
Neither have I.
-
Still on page 7.
-
Darn.
-
It is time for me to leave.
-
'night
-
I only just got the book. But I have begun the book and am in the first section. I am a slow reader. You have been warned.
-
Today was spent battling the invasive blackberry vines encroaching from the property behind us. A very thorny situation. They were trying to swallow up two small plum trees we have back there.
-
I wish I had a Nancy Kulp autographed picture.
-
Or a Robert Culp one.
-
There was an airplane thriller a decade or so ago with Rachel McAdams and a British actor. He sits next to her and threatens her to do something or he’ll kill her family. I forget the specifics. But someone gets stabbed with a pen.
-
Just going to try to get us through this page before dear BK doth rage.
-
I like a John Wayne aeroplane movie adventure that came out just before the High and the Mighty.
It is called Island in the Sky.
-
Co-starring the great Lloyd Nolan.
-
What is everyone’s favorite Lloyd Nolan movie?
-
Lloyd Nolan was a great actor, but like John Wayne and Walter Brennan, he had some real retrograde, right-wing views.
-
So, George is going to abandon us in our literal hour of need?
-
Had prime rib for dinner followed by a dipped cone from DQ.
-
Finished with my viewing and some moron is setting off fireworks.
-
Somewhere.
-
Out there.
-
DQ has had pretty consistent quality over the years, I must say.
-
Thank goodness!
-
I like Dairy Queen. And it's the only place you can get an Orange Julius.
-
Guess I'll write some damn notes and hopefully George will be along soon.
-
Page 8 is brought to you by Lloyd Nolan.
-
Glad you've started the book.
-
Was Robert Culp culpable?
-
Yes Orange Julius at some point became an adjunct offering of mall DQs.
-
Culp couldn’t cope with culpability.
-
Fave Lloyd Nolan films:
Ebb Tide
Blues in the Night
The Lemon Drop Kid
Two Smart People
Island in the Sky
Hatful of Rain
-
This afternoon, I ushered for a local production of Falsettos.
-
Gratuitous Post #222!!
-
The actor who played Marvin is from Seattle and is an Equity actor.
-
Everyone was very good...not a weak link in the cast or the (literal) "teeny tiny band."
-
They only had a piano, drums, and horn player who played several instruments.
-
The staging was good, the singing was very good, the set was simple but very effective, and the show was quite emotional.
-
Everyone who came to see the show seemed to thoroughly enjoy it.
-
We were told that 145 tickets were presold.
-
This show was presented by Harlequin Productions at the State Theatre.
-
It holds either 180 or so, or 220 or so...I forget which.
-
Anyway, it was a pretty full house.
-
I definitely plan to usher for it again.
-
What?
-
And?
-
And then I came home.
-
Actually, I didn't come home after the show.
-
Whassup?
-
What did you do?
-
EAT?
-
PAGE NINE DANCE!!
-
I drove through Arby's and got food for me and my friend Margo, then we ate on her porch and chatted for a couple of hours.
-
Play Phase 14?
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
Play Phase 14?
Nope...no card playing today.
-
I wrote them.
-
A bit of pre-sleep napping, though. ::)
-
Page nine is fine.
-
But I'd have a yen for page ten.
-
Yes, I would.
-
But it's a long way off.
