Sorry about the spoiler, DR Ron Pulliam. They post a season at a time on BritBox, so when I said "tonight," I just meant the episode that we happened to be watching.
TOD:
As a kid, I was a big fan of Robby the Robot from "Forbidden Planet". Loved the movie, too. Still do.
As an adult, I got the creeps when Ian Holm, aka "Ash", turned out to be an android in "Alien".

Inga Swenson singing “Simple Little Things”…..what a lovely voice.
Assuming the story is real, this is one good reason to be cautious about relying too much on "smart" devices:

I’ve just been cleaning out the back of the van ( removing coolers shopping bags etc) to make room for WFO’s walker and wheelchair .
Bo Goldman has died. He wrote the screenplays for One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and Melvin and Howard, both of which brought him Oscars. My favorite script of his was Shoot the Moon. He also co-wrote the book for First Impressions, the not-impressive musical version of Pride and Prejudice.
This has been a week for dreams!
And now it is raining. Temperature is 77 degrees.
AQI is 20.
It seems we are blessed this morning.

Good Morning. I think today is Saturday. Another "free" day - last one for a while. Little things to do as well as making a Lemon-Blueberry trifle for tech Sunday's dinner tomorrow.

Here is a wonderful sentence from the book I am currently reading:
Hugo was English, and he noticed Americans had trouble differentiating between his accent and his sarcasm.

Print out a photo of a clean sink and slap it on top of the dirty dishes.

Indonesia is the world’s fourth-largest country by population, with 273 million people, and, as of today, it appears that Indonesia will block “X” (formerly Twitter) because the “X” has been used in Indonesia (and presumably elsewhere) to denote porn sites.
The ingredients for the trifle have been procured and if I get my act together today, there just might be another episode of "Baking with the Maestro" happening today! Stay tuned
I agree with opinion piece that quote Forrest Gump: "Stupid is as stupid does." ::)
OOPS! Indonesia bans Twitter after Elon Musk rebrands it to “X” (https://occupydemocrats.com/2023/07/28/oops-indonesia-bans-twitter-after-elon-musk-rebrands-it-to-x/)

Totally makes sense though

That would be so much easier!!
Glad they finally figured that out.
If you wear TWO bracelets, maybe you lose weight twice as fast!
And you can eat as much lemon blueberry trifle as you like!
Sounds like a good deal to me.
If you had twin daughters, you could name them Astrid and Astrud.
DR JohnG, Steve Raichlen's TV program today was about San Antonio. I want to go to that chicken emporium where the waiters wear "More Salsa Verde" T-shirts.
4 ingredients - a tub of cottage cheese, 2 Tbs of your favorite sweetener - I used sugar free maple syrup, a splash of vanilla and whatever else you want to put in it - I used blueberries. I put it in the ice cream churner for 20 minutes or so. You don't really need to, you can put it directly into the freezer of you wanted to. Next time, I'll probably mix the cottage cheese and sweetener with an immersion blender to get the lumps out. It's easy, and good for you!!!
Has anyone read Joseph Hansen, a mystery writer who created one of the first gay detectives? There’s an article in the Washington Post on his career. His work is back in print. I borrowed the first, Fadeout, which I will start after I finish the latest Stacy Abrams thriller, Rogue Justice.

The wonderful thing about trifles
Yes, trifles are wonderful things
Their tops are made out of rubber
Their bottoms are made out of springs...
Oops. Wrong song.
It'll sell like hotcakes!
Speaking of gay writers, if there are any fans of Armistead Maupin's "Tales of the City" series, book number 10 will be out in September.
It is called "Mona of the Manor".
Nice rhyme, though.

I am reading the unexpurgated FROM HERE TO ETERNITY mentioned here last week.
I got a copy for $3.99 on Amazon.

Rice pudding. Yes, please.
I am intrigued by the idea of cottage cheese ice cream.
Lemon-Blueberry Trifle.
Matthew, that trifle looks delicious.
Rodzinski - it's my only Terpning. I happened to be searching Ms. Gilberto on eBay one day about twelve years ago, maybe even more than that, because she was selling signed copies of her albums to raise dough for a charity. And she was selling the painting, which Terpning gifted her back in the day. It was way too much for the likes of me, but I made her an offer that I could afford and she accepted it. I got the painting, a really nice note from her, a COA, and a signed LP and CD.
I'd like more salad, please.

I met him briefly a few years back when he spoke for Planned Parenthood here. I think I stopped reading those books after maybe the seventh.

Okay, I'll be the lone dissenter. Nothing about cottage cheese intrigues me. Not event a yit-bit.
So...EWWWW!

Thanks! All of the components tasted good, hopefully they will together!
You WILL be held accountable.
Thank you to everyone here on HHW for the vibes and support.
It is most appreciated.
