Well, you've read the notes, the notes had multiple meanings, and now it is time for you to post until the multiple cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: EVINCE!
-
Last night, I went down an MSNBC (https://www.youtube.com/@msnbc/videos) rabbit hole...which was quite informative, as well as educational and intelligent.
-
Topic of the Day: I hope to have some time to listen to the 2-fer newly re-release of JAY's Anything Goes (https://jayrecords.com/recording/anything-goes-(double-feature)/). I didn't have either recording, so getting both was a good deal. :)
-
First blurb just arrived at two-thirty in the morning and it's pretty amazing.
-
Wonderful!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept better last night than I did the past two nights, but it was still a restless night. I remember bits of one dream: I was showing someone - my brother Randy, I think - a documentary on YouTube about a member of the New York City Gay Men's Chorus. There may have been something to do with Christmas, but I honestly cannot remember.
-
Today, I will finish up the Charleston and end my major work on the ballet. I expect there will be adjustments and alterations during the rehearsals, and after hearing the whole piece, I may want to rescore some things.
-
;)
-
;D
-
Good morning

Yes indeed the Mercury retrograde ended yesterday at 6:40 p.m. Pacific Time....
And we had a new moon in Virgo. We are at last released from the challenges of the retrograde and can now look forward to new beginnings in many areas of our lives - particularly those in which we wish to make changes.
Decide what you want - be sure - and move in that direction. Only you can stop your forward progress.
-
Friday!
DR MATTHEW I am directing a production of Paul Osborn's "Morning's At Seven".
-
Good morning, all.
-
Friday vibes for us all.
-
I've been up for hours and haven't signed in yet?!
Good morning, all.
Friday morning. Good Friday morning!
-
Don’t know what the day holds, but tonight I am going to see a group called The Mavericks. Their music crosses genres, including old time rock, country and Latin.
-
;)
OMG, that's wonderful.

Not a moment too soon, methinks. Thank you, DR Jrand73.

I'm calm, I'm calm, I'm perfectly calm...

I'm also clam, but that's another story.
-
DR Singdaw, good job on finding 12 kittens.
-
From DR Singdaw:
The term baker's dozen is thought to originate from the old practice of bakers adding a thirteenth loaf of bread to a batch of twelve loaves to avoid selling underweight bread.
Interesting.
-
People had Flowbee parties! :))
-
DR Jrand, congrats on a good opening night.
-
DR George, thanks for sharing photos last night.

Good morning.
-
I had a busy morning. Off from work today. Worked out. Got my RSV shot (no soreness or other symptoms so far). Had a pedicure. Stopped by the post office.
-
I, also, was glad to read of a successful opening night for DR Jrand72 and Company.

Love the Mavericks! That first album of theirs was fire, as the kids say. They lived up to their name.

The original Maverick:
-
He quit the band to go into politics.

So I hear.

I'm up, I'm up - five hours of sleep. Thankfully the alarm sounded at eleven. Shortly I shall be on my way to the casting session.

Dropped the DH off at Temple for Erev Rosh Hashanah services. I'll have to stay up way past my bedtime to go pick him up late tonight. Even though the building seats over 1,000, they have to repeat the service twice. At least they bring in food for the service participants in between.
-
I did call and was told if the problem isn't corrected in three days to call back. Great.

It has been a long time since I have gone to services. Sometimes I go online and watch a little at my childhood temple.

Married Republican Gov Kristi Noem and Trump Advisor’s Years-Long Affair Exposed (https://www.meidastouch.com/news/married-republican-gov-kristi-noem-and-trump-advisors-years-long-affair-exposed)
The “family values” party strikes again.
-
The article ends:
Noem has recently been touted as a possible running mate for the criminally indicted ex-president Donald Trump, who faces 91 felony criminal counts and has been held liable for sexually assaulting E. Jean Carroll and was determined to be a rapist by a federal judge.
Ah, good old Republican family values.

It's Friday in Johnston, SC, part of the CSRA.
Yes, I know it's going on 6 p.m. EDT..,and no I am not out of my everloving mind.
I am mentally competent to post, having just arisen from a four-hour nap I desperately needed, apparently.
-
I slept rather well last night.
Yes, I dreamed...an ongoing, totally silly, simplistic sort of non-shriek-inducing variety of dreams. So silly I no longer recall it other than remembering, after getting up this morning, that although it may have met the requirements of an "ongoing" thematic dream, it had no "oomph".
-
And "oomph" is what I injected into my morning.
I drove to Aiken and arrived at LabCorp where the very practical, and most pleasant, phlebotomist drew my blood and asked me to provide a sample of micturation.
All went smoothly. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes.
-
I was only five minutes away from Sam's Club and it had just opened for the day, so I went through and found, to my shock, that there was only ONE thing in that entire store that enticed me.
I bought a four-pack (!!!) of brioche buns. A FOUR-PACK. Everything else is two of six or two loaves or two of some other mass quantity. BUT only FOUR buns.
I have never left a Sam's or CostCo paying less than $60 for any goods, and out the door I went with a receipt for $3.98.
I was so proud of myself!
-
Next, I set my sails for a voyage to The Fresh Market.
There, I more than made up for my spendthriftiness at Sam's. I spent the most at the deli counter, where wonderful foods were piping hot and ready for taste-testing over the weekend.
On my return to Johnston, I went by the post office and found three boxes plus assorted pieces of mail awaiting me.
Once home, I unloaded, put things away, opened some mail and then treated myself to Buffalo savory chicken wings, roasted Brussels sprouts and white cheddar mac and cheese. I followed that with a bowl of Haagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream covered in Hershey's Chocolate Syrup.
Can you believe that I just sat in a chair and vegetated for about 30 minutes and then decided to nap?
-
I was delighted to find it was still Friday when I woke up to a telephone call.
My VA doctor wants to schedule me for a colonoscopy.
Rats!
Oh, well!
-

Enjoy! ;)
-
I've got three years before my next one. ::)
-
I will add that I had the most emotionally draining dream of unknown origins during my nap.
I was the middle of three brothers. I worshipped, idolized and bedeviled my older brother to the point where he, ticked off by something I had not done, took a school paper from my notebook and tore it up, peed on it and laughed howlingly about our yard.
That paper was one I had poured my heart and soul into. I had gotten high marks on it and it was the first adult recognition I had ever received that I was more than just my older brother's bothersome younger brother.
My dad was on the porch and watched what happened. I rushed out to try to stop my brother, but froze at the sight of what he was doing. He had a look in his eye of absolute triumph, and I heard my dad say "Oh, no."
What followed was a smackdown of major proportions. My older brother never landed a returning blow as I beat on his body, making sure I didn't hit any one place too many times.
I have no idea how much time had passed, but I was painfully aware that I was broken. I no longer had respect, love or worship of this foul creature on the ground with a new fear in his eyes. I told him he would never speak to me, look at me or get near me without my permission ever again.
My young brother was standing in tears, and my dad looked sad and spent.
I later broke down in my dad's arms and told him I had never known until that moment how much my brother resented me, how absolutely alone I now felt and how I felt I had lost all the joy in my life.
As I am on only child, I cannot fathom why that dream, what may have caused it or whether it is also a spillover of the meds.
It felt real, but could not possibly be so.
-

Wow, four hours. Vibes you sleep tonight.

PAGE FIVE!
-
Let us sing a song of five.
-
And a merry song it is.
-
Full of laughter and legs.
-
It will quell your doubts
-
And lift your spirits
-
It will inspire a giggle
-
Perhaps even a belly laugh
-
And it will stick in your head

Long after the final note has been played.

Oh yes, it's quite the ditty.

I have, too. It's less than 20 minutes from where I live, and right next to Fred Meyer, so it's no big trek for me to go to Costco anytime.
-
Well, that last dream was pretty upsetting. Glad it's over.
Ditto and Ditto!!
-
And now, I'm off to the theater.
-
It's our only preview with an audience, so (as I always say), "It'll be what it'll be." ;)
-
Hope you have a great show, DR George! Sing pretty.
-
Wouldn't this make a great double bill?
-
They'll put anything on ice these days.
-
I went for an after dinner walk.
-
It is only 93 degrees out there.
-
Fortunately I had a bit of a breeze.
-
It was a lovely walk along the river.

'night
-
DR Ron did you wish you had siblings? If so, after that dream I expect you are relieved to be an only child.
I did, but I always was glad I didn't. It would have been hell on them with my dad's drinking, and my mom likely wouldn't have been able to keep us all in line.
-
On a joyous note, my new recording of "Oklahoma!" arrived in today's mail.
With it was a blu-ray of "Puzzle of a Downfall Child" which I missed when it was shown in theaters, and I have never known it to be on TV.

My friend Margo is here and she took this of me in my "chef's tux":
-
Nice photo, George.
-
Nice photo, George.
Thanks, John!
-
The Mavericks were outstanding. Loved the range of music, the brass section, the accordion, all of it.
-
Yesterday, fourteen pages.
-
Today six.
-
Casting session was annoying in that there were seven people spread over four hours and six of them were done by three, so we just had to sit until the last person came at five.
-
Frustrating day all around.
-
Any way you cook it.
-
Where in tarnation IS everyone?
-
Certainly not here.
-
I had a turkey and provolone sandwich - very good.
-
That's it - so, a very calorie friendly day.
-
The best part o' the day was still basking in the glow of the first blurb.
-
Something is biting the HELL out of me and I haven't a clew how it's happening. Arms, elbows, leg. I don't get it.
-
Obviously, I have no pets nor have any pets been here nor has ANYONE been here but me.
-
Maybe the theater?
-
It's very irritating.
-
No modern major miracles this day.
-
Disappointing and depressing.
-
Not necessarily in that order.
-
I do not care for page seven.
-
Let's do something about it.
-
I don't feel like starting new notes yet. Maybe at eleven.
-
What?
-
Did someone say something?
-
I could have sworn. Well, damn it all to HELL, I have sworn.
-
I swore quite a bit in the motor car on the way home.
-
I cursed at several drivers.
-
I just did.
-
Whar's the late night contingent.
-
It is contingent on the contingent to be here.
-
The Mavericks were outstanding. Loved the range of music, the brass section, the accordion, all of it.
Nice! Did they do “What a Crying Shame”?
-
Major miracle vibes for MR BK.
-
Late night detail is here.
-
Any usable auditionees among the 8?
-
Ideally that last person you waited for came in and blew you away. A star was born.
-
But it doesn’t sound like that from the tenor of your mood.
-
DR RON PULLIAM without using the Dream-O-Matic 6000 - I can only say that in dreams suchas you described the siblings/parents are usually unresolved feelings about superiors or underlings with whom you were at one time involved.
Strong personal antagonistic feelings of perhaps unknown origin caused a rift and other folks were involved....it is likely you were correct in your observations although you seemed to stand alone in your judgment.
It may also be prescient in that new information about such an old situation may come to your attention before the end of next week.
-
Hit it, Lorraine.
-
I forgot that many CDs purchased from Amazon can then be downloaded at no additional cost.....so I have downloaded The Compleat Oklahoma!.
-
JRand, re: yesterday’s TOD, do you remember somewhere in Indiana had Tom Raper’s RV Sales that heavily advertised around the state?
-
Show was good tonight.....slightly larger audience.....slightly less responsive.....but I'll take it.
September Friday nights are high school football nights, so we are lucky to have ANYONE in the audience.
-
Richmond, Ind., I wanna say.
-
Yes I remember that DR RODZINSKI.....I don't think my friend Rudy was any relation to Tom.....but who knows.....
-
Yes Richmond.....
-
I think he sold boats, too.
-
The net tells me Mr Raper died in 2015, and the biz exists now as Camping World RV.
-
The power of smell. Yesterday I was outside and I suddenly got a reminder of the smell of a cabin we stayed in on Schaefer Lake aka Indiana Beach in the Summer of 1977.
