Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a nice opening at night, and now it is time for you to post until the opening night cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: MESMERIZE!
-
Topic of the Day: two new (to me) CDs:
The original West End cast album of Heathers the Musical (https://castalbums.org/recordings/Heathers-2018-London-Cast/40003), and the 2007 Encores! cast recording to Face the Music (https://castalbums.org/recordings/Face-the-Music-2007-Encores-Cast/6515), with a score by Irving Berlin. :)

Did Shazam pull a rabbit out of a hat, DR George?
-
Good morning, friends.
-
A pretty decent night of sleep, if a little less than I would have liked.
-
Perhaps today will find me on the road to recovery.

Good morning, all!

Ditto!

I could not get to sleep last night. When I finally turned out the light, it was 12:30, and I slept with /thatch at my side and Annabelle on a pillow next to me. When the alarm rang at 5:40, I reset it for 6:20. I turned off the alarm, cuddked with Annabelle for another 15 minutes abd decided to get up. I think I'll spend most of the day in bed.
-
I have no plans at all for the day. I know that Doug will send questions on the Charleston that he's copying, and I will have to answer those. Otherwise, I'm taking it easy.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Good news on the opening, BK. Congratulations.
-
Thanks for some suggestions, DR Rodzinski.
-
I have about 30 minutes left in the movie. I hope I can watch it tonight. I also have two French movies in French based on George Simenon novels to watch, including the wonderful Monsieur Hire.
-
I need to get moving.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Congrats to BK & Co. on their great op'nin'!

Nothing - until maybe a good movie, yet to be determined, this evening.
The other day I was looking through some older horror (and related) movies I hadn't seen in forever, and decided I really would love ketchuping on a lot of those between now and Halloween. I've never been one for insisting on watching "scary" movies during October like it's some sort of contest or ritual (plus, I like scary movies anytime), but bingeing on some good ones just seems appealing this year. I'll also be spending some time with a friend I don't see that often who's a walking encyclopedia on classic horror, and it will be good to have these to talk about.

DR Rodzinski -- It's hard to believe some accommodation isn't made for people who live on the border and commute across it regularly.
Are there options? -- all of which I'm sure would greatly add to one's expenses -- such as also buying Canadian insurance? Or is that even possible for a US citizen, on a US vehicle? Or can the US companies somehow provide extended coverage as a stopgap measure? Apologies if you already addressed these things. This was bugging me.
-
A few of you have me convinced that State Farm is who I should try next.
But here's another question, this one for DR John G. --
You said you can't find cheaper coverage than your State Farm policy. Which is good to hear, except - I'm just curious and maybe I'm woefully behind the times here, but don't you work for USAA, and even they can't do better for you?

That's a great one, DR singdaw.

Okay, I must now get on with my day. Toodle-oo, everybody.

Friday morning greetings! Today I have to finish cleaning out a filing cabinet and I’m down to a small pile of paperwork relating to my mother :(
-
Good news DR GINNY!
-
Nice letter DR singdaw.

I liked reading about the opening night!
We are doing Performance Number Six tonight......

Oh, I hope so, DR stingjaw. There are some excellent programs for that.

11ty, Hours, 11ty!
That's how much sleep I got last night. All of it uninterrupted and relatively dream-free.
Such a refreshing change of pace!!!
-
Otherwise, there is nothing new since my report a 10:32 p.m. last night.
Have had a blueberry muffin (and I tasted each blueberry within) and am now savoring a most excellent cup of coffee.

Yeah, it’s patently crazy. The only accommodation is to buy more comprehensive, expensive insurance. Basic liability and collision are not enough. Here’s an article about it.

Bless you heart! With all your troubles and you're asking me about my blueberries!
There were 18.

Good Morning - today is much better. Thanks for all of the vibes and such.
-
DR Jeanne - that picture was taken without my knowledge when a few friends and I were at a restaurant - it's a pretty decent picture for being a candid. I think my hand was just resting on my shoulder, there wasn't a code. LOL. Thank you for the compliment!
-
Did Shazam pull a rabbit out of a hat, DR George?
No, but he did make a duck appear out of a box. ;D
-

I got a decent night of sleep, too, Singdaw. And for once, I actually got a little more sleep than I usually get.

My responses were:

Duck Soup
The original Hairspray

Alarm was set and went off at eleven, but once again I had the phone on silent for the show last night and forgot to take it off silent. Not doing that anymore - will just shut it off and restart. Thankfully, gardeners are outside making a lot of noise and that woke me up.

So, a couple of days ago, I mentioned that my car was 15 months old.

I found a small album of photos from CAMELOT in 1993 directed by Vickie who is in this show....Ric from the show played Arthur.....Shelly from the show was in the ladies ensemble....and I....well I was Mordred. The Seven Deadly Virtues - indeed.

I will be taking it with me to cause merriment and laughter backstage.

Never forget mirth.

It's a myth that you miss the mirth and find yourself mirthless.

Good Afternoon. I came home to find the boys had pulled a cast iron skillet off the stove - which at the the time was holding a bag of small apples from Trader Joes - and a few limes. Anyway. not sure how many of the small apples they ate, but they left about 3 or so - didn't like the iimes. So, I'm thinking of holding off on their food until tomorrow, or maybe just a little bit. Apples aren't harmful, there isn't enough bad stuff in the seeds to hurt them, but the core could cause some issues. We'll see what happens in the next few days. They will probably be fine - they are tough.
-
Oy, DR Matthew. Such naughty boys.

Apples. They just wanted to celebrate Rosh Hashanah.

And who could blame them?

They wanted to drizzle them with honey, but that wasn't readily available.

Indeed.

Watching Kenneth MacMillan’s version of Romeo and Juliet. Lovely production. I think the San Antonio Ballet played homage, slavish homage, in their production.
-
The Prokofiev music is gorgeous.

Huh?

Really liking the Romeo, the Juliet and the Tybalt in this production.

Starting Strangers in the House, a 1942 French film. A drunk (the wonderful Rainu) finds a dead body in his house. What happened? Whodunnit? Lots of clues.
-
It’s based on one of Georges Simenon’s novels without Maigret.
-
What’s fascinating is that it’s France in 1942, yet there’s no mention of war, no one in uniform, either French or German.
-
Great courtroom drama.
-
Just a world of fun.

But it’s time for bed.

I'm home (and have been for a while) from ushering for The Revolutionists (https://harlequinproductions.org/show/the-revolutionists/) by Lauren Gunderson and directed by Lauren Love (who directed Jed and me in Sunday in the Park with George).
-
It was a play about four actual historical figures in France (including Marie Antoinette).
-
From Harlequin's website:
The Revolutionists is a new play about four very real women who lived boldly in France during the French Revolution’s Reign of Terror. Playwright Olympe De Gouges, assassin Charlotte Corday, former queen Marie Antoinette, and Haitian rebel Marianne Angelle hang out, murder Marat, lose their heads and try to beat back the extremist insanity in the Paris of 1793.
-
It was really well done...great set, great costumes, and great acting.
-
After the show, I drove through McDonald's and got their Deluxe Spicy McCrispy chicken sandwich.
-
It was freshly fried and delish.
-
I also got a large diet Coke, because McDonald's has the best fountain diet Coke known to man. ;D
-
When I got home, I checked my mail.
-
;D
-
And there was a package for an item from Amazon!
-
I just ordered it Wednesday and it arrived today!
-
What I had ordered was a physical CD of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Douglas Adams Live in Concert (https://www.amazon.com/dp/1597771554)!
-
I'd been looking for a CD of this for years!
-
I actually have this on audiocassette, but I wanted a CD.
-
It's always been very expensive and otherwise only available through Audible, to which I don't subscribe.
-
It's not even available from Amazon.co.uk, but here's the CD that I got...
-
Um, how can we still be on page six?

How can we still be on page seven?
