Well, you've read the notes, the notes were almost fully written, and now it is time for you to post until the almost fully home cows come home, fully.
-
And the word of the day is: VARIEGATE!
-
Today, I'm working concessions for Baurice Nelson presents Elvis (https://www.washingtoncenter.org/event/elvis/):
An amazing 2 hour concert spanning the years of the King.
SET ONE: Tribute to the iconic 1968 “comeback special”
SET TWO: recreation of the iconic 1972 concerts as captured on the film Elvis on Tour and the album Live from Madison Square garden
Performed by the award winning ROBBIE DEE and the Graceland Station Band.
-
I'm also probably going to go to the Olympia Farmer's Market with my friend Shelly this afternoon. That'll be fun. :)
-
Notes reaped. Sown.
-
I’m back, and to prove it, I’m here.
-
I watched a nice lil musical movie on the tube of you. “Melanie” from 1982. The great Glynnis O’Connor stars as an illiterate Arkansas hillbilly who has her child taken away by her mean husband, Don Johnson. She comes to LA to get him back and meets washed-up rockstar played by the Guess Who’s Burton Cummings in his only acting role, and his lawyer played by Paul Sorvino. Nice scenes around 1981 LA including the Tower Records.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
This cold I have does not seem to be going away anytime soon.
-
I have seen North by Northwest. But there are many classics I haven't seen.
-
Good morning, all!
-
The fourth and final installment of Richard Osman's "Thursday Murder Club" novels is out.
-
I was in bed by 8:15 last night, and I slept well until 1:30 or so. At that time all three cats invaded my bed, and it took me several hours to get settled and back to sleep.
-
I had a dream about The Threepenny Opera and the Tango-Ballade again. Then I had a very strange dream involving myself, my late friend Loyce Martn, a girl who went through grade and high school with me, and the finished edit of a recently made porn movie.
-
I have to finish up some Encores! work on Once Upon a Mattress today.
-
At the end of the day, when the duck manufacturing line has to use up all the spare parts...
-
Good morning, all.
-
Not great night of sleep.
-
Probably too hot.

Time for dancing.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Had kind of a second wind thing going last night and stayed up very late. Very very late.
-
I’m paying for it now.
-
Saturday morning greetings! I also had trouble sleeping last night because, after finishing shredding a lot of Mom paperwork, I discovered my iPad needed to be “restored.” That was scary, but I completed it a little past midnight and it seems OK today.
-
This cold I have does not seem to be going away anytime soon.
Sorry.
-
We have boarded our flight to Chicago.
-
Then on to DC.
-
At the end of the day, when the duck manufacturing line has to use up all the spare parts...
Beautiful Mandarin Duck. Once we had one in our pond in Ashland.
-

One album I have been listening to lately is The Mavericks. Here’s my favorite cut.
-
Two!

Travel vibes for Jane
-
I have also been listening to early Tony Bennett, a box set of Beethoven’s symphonies (Yannick Nezet-Seguin) and Kern’s fun score for Leave It to Jane.
-
Good morning.
Great night of sleep with CPAP.
Awesome sleep. Nondescript dreams.
-
Denny is cutting my lawn.
I have work to get done today.
I may or may not get it done, but I have it on my list.
-
Until my left ear is fully functional again, I am not listeiing to music of any kind for pleasure.
The hearing is improving, but there is room for improvement.
-
My sense of taste and smell is now off the charts.
I can almost tell what I cooked three days ago.
Time for some Glade.
-
Good morning
-
I'm reading up...
-
Saturday - closing night!
We had 109 folks last night and they were a very responsive audience....hopefully the same tonight.
Then we strike the set and clean up the joint and the 2023 season is OVAH!
-
I'm up, I'm up - five hours of sleep.
-
Of course I received an email this morning at 3:56 a.m. that someone was attempting to login to my Venmo account.....I went there and removed my bank account information and then checked my account online and nothing seemed amiss or amister for that matter.
-
DR JANE wave as you fly over Indiana.
-
Very nice day today weather wise....so far.
-
I am listening to the OKLAHOMA! recording....it is very nice.
-
We have boarded our flight to Chicago.

Thank you.

The hearing is improving, but there is room for improvement.
Hearing loss sadley makes listening to music less enjoyable.

There is a high wind alert for the area and I am fearful of the landing. I have my trusty barf bag ready just in case.
-
Thank you John.

Thanks George.

Congrats on the successful season, Jrand!

Well, I'm finally out of bed. Today I have to play a wedding and then some cocktail piano at the reception. The wedding is for a family whose kids I've taught over the years. Should be fun.

Page 3 dance!!! Let's mambo!

It really is about the score. If it's sung well, the story will come out. The original production did what it needed to do at the time. I think the concept is interesting. I liken it to the John Doyle Sweeney Todd (except no one is playing instruments here - that's already been done!). Also - there seems to be a good sized orchestra in the pit, which is REALLY exciting and I can't believe ALW would let them change anything either.
(I'm passionate about this show, can you tell? LOL)
-
<and I hope I don't eat those words after I actually see it!!>
-
I sincerely hope that you love it, Matthew!

Texas Trash pie is in the oven.
-
I just cut up an ASS-load of corrugated shipping boxes for the recycling bin: Amazon boxes, boxes that some shelves came in, even a small chair, you name it.
And now I shall rest my own ASS for a minute.

I saw that Sweeney Todd on tour. It was awful.
This looks like that new concept version of Oklahoma! Which was also awful.

Yes, please!

I shall look forward to hearing DR MATTHEW's review of SB.
I guess Norma's pool is cut and Joe gets shot in his undies.....I'm not sure......we shall have to wait for the theeder repor from DR M.

Thank you. We are in our nice hotel room.
-
The pilot did a great job of making our desent and landing as smooth as possibly.
-
I complimented him as we got off the plane. He was surprised and pleased.
-
We are meeting Craig for dinner in a few minutes.
-
I ate the Doubletree cookie they gave us when we checked in and now I'm not hungry.

I'm reading up...
And I always thought you could teach the course blindfolded!!

We both got it in six, but you got more green letters sooner than I did.
-
To night, I was supposed to work concessions for the Elvis tribute show, but I got a call asking if I would usher, so I'm ushering.
-
I just need to wear the standard white short instead of the white and blue Hawaiian shirt that I have on.
-
That's not a problem. :)
-
Hello, everyone.
-
I did some laundry and a bunch of little things around the apartment today. Glad to get it done.
-
This cold I have does not seem to be going away anytime soon.
Sorry it’s not going away. You keep Sambucol tablets on hand? It’s really good for getting rid of colds, flu, and sinus.
Vibes you feel better pronto!
-
The fourth and final installment of Richard Osman's "Thursday Murder Club" novels is out.
The final installment? I hadn’t heard that. I hope not. I do enjoy the series and the author must be making a bundle.
-
Until my left ear is fully functional again, I am not listeiing to music of any kind for pleasure.

All the major food groups. ;)

Normally I like eating earlier as not to be full at bedtime.
-
I ate way too much tonight and will still be full in the morning.

Hi, Jane.
Your trip is going by so fast!
-
Have a nice visit, DR Jane.
We did. Thank you.

-
The fourth and final installment of Richard Osman's "Thursday Murder Club" novels is out.
Final! I hope not.
-
Good rest-of-the-trip vibes to Jane and Keith.
-
Hi, Jane.
Your trip is going by so fast!
Yes though it has been wonderful.
-
TTFN.
-
Hi Jeanne.
-
It 8s wet and windy here and the weather is expected to be worse tomorrow.
-
We had plans for me to finally see Balitimore or go to another town I have never seen.
-
That's out now unless the weather miraculously improves.
-
It looks like Monday will be nice.
-
Not sure what we will do. We don't want to go to a museum.
-
Not sure what we will do. We don't want to go to a museum.
Fort McHenry, where “The Star-Spangled Banner” was written. It’s the only place I’ve ever been in Baltimore, but well worth the stop on our drive from Washington to the Jersey shore.
-
I'll ask Craig about this. We won't go during the storm.
-
Dinner came out really well
-
I sautéed a white onion in butter and seasoned it with Penzey’s Foxpoint , added a pint of halved grape tomatoes, and when the tomatoes were soft, removed them and kept them warm in a separate bowl.
I had flattened two chicken breasts which I then seasoned with orange peel and Penzey’s Sunny Paris, then I cooked them in the same pan I had cooked the veggies in.
After the chicken was cooked through I added the. Bpveggies back in fir a couple of minutes to warm everything through.
Served it over rice cooked in chicken stock, with a little butter added in at the end
-
It was really delicious
-
While I was out shopping I stopped by the Carvel and bought a package of flying saucers which are now sitting in the freezer
-
Vixdad had run up to Home Depot and to buy me an onion because I forgot it when I was out
-
Unaware of the flying saucers, he brought home Klondike bars
-
The freezer is now filled with temptation
-
But I am strong.
-
I can resist anything !
-
Except temptation.
-
The freezer is now filled with temptation
;D
-
Except temptation.
:))
-
I have that same problem.
-
'night
-
The freezer is now filled with temptation
-
And by ice, I think Frost could have meant "freezer." :)
-
But he might not have known of Klondike bars.
-
But I sure do.
-
Although flying saucers would suffice.
-
Thanks for the sympathy and advice, DR Jeanne!
-
It's hard to get used to being sick; I wasn't for 3 years when I wasn't going out and about.
-
Good night, friends.
-
The pie was quite good. Very dense, like a bar cookie with crust.
-
A friend made a key lime pie with a ginger snap crust that was the exact opposite. Light and bright.
-
The Texas Trash pie was odd on one note. Several of us thought it had alcohol in it. I know it did not. But I may add bourbon in the future.
-
Dancing was fun. We worked more on Thriller.
-
Before it, we went to a birthday dinner at a favorite Sichuan restaurant.
-
There was way too much food. Duck, fish with cucumbers, sesame chicken, Mongolian chicken and Mongolian beef, chicken with three types of mushrooms, cucumbers in garlic, eggplant, green beans, Singapore noodles, West Lake soup, pickled peanuts. We could have eaten all night.
-
I have enough duck left over for three meals.
-
I have been listening to Justine by the Marquis de Sade.
-
It’s an odd book. It’s kind of like Pilgrim’s Progress with sex.
-
It’s written in the style of Fielding but without the subtlety.
-
Not that there was subtlety in Tom Jones or Joseph Andrews.
-
But this has less.
-
I’m fading fast.
-
But first.
-
One more
-
Seven!
-
Marmelade seven!
-
Mammy seven!
-
Good night, all.
-
Hi, George.
Hello, Jeanne. Sorry I missed you.
-
113 in the audience.....and they laughed at most of the right places....
SEASON IS OVER.....SET STRUCK....EVERYTHING PUT AWAY.....and the theeder has been put to bed.
Then end.
-
I am home and everything has been put away.....
-
Sleep.
-
I want DR VIXMOM's freezer....or at least the contents.
-

Congrats, Jrand!
-
Had Hugo's for breakfast - pasta papa - very good.
-
Picked up no mail from the mail place.
-
Other than that, it was proofing all day and all night. About fifty pages to go. Amazing what none of us caught - three people proofing twice. Third time is hopefully the charm.
-
Good luck, BK!
-
I'm at my mom's for the night.
-
She's visiting a friend out of town, so I'm watching her cat, Henry.
-
Well, that shouldn't stop the posting.
-
We need more postings because, as you may have heard on the news, I do not care for page seven.
-
And we are firmly on page seven.
-
Oh George - you can't just show up two minutes before midnight and then exit. No exit.
-
We must not have an exit.
-
Not even an eggs it.
-
And yet, George sits there like so much fish.
-
Twiddling his thumbs.
-
Oh George - you can't just show up two minutes before midnight and then exit. No exit.
I haven't extited...getting ready for a couple of posts.
-
Twiddling, do you hear me?
-
A few days ago, I came home and found this little mushroom out in front of my place:
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
But when I stopped at home tonight, I noticed that it grew!
-
Finally, page eight.
-
Somebody's been doing too many mushrooms.
-
I don't know how big it'll get...or if I should pull it out of the ground.
-
And it ain't me.
-
Somebody's been doing too many mushrooms.
I never has done mushrooms!
-
I know a couple of people who have. ::)
;)
-
Henry just used his litter box.
-
:P
-
It's quite odiferous!
