Well, you've read the notes, the notes were a brief moment, and now it is time for you to post until the brief cows come home.

Good morning, all!
-
I have little to report. The gastroenterologist said I had a stomach virus. I say she's wrong; a virus doesn't hang on this long. I am not happy.
-
DRs George and Singdaw, I am so sorry to hear of all the current family angst, health issues, and death. I continue to feel that I'm living on borrowed time. It occupies too much of my thoughts.
-
Thanks, DR elmore3003. {{{HUGS}}} to you, as well.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
DR George, sorry for your mother's loss. Glad that she had that final visit.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Thank you, Matthew, for the birthday wishes. It was a fine day.
-
DR George, sorry for your mother's loss. Glad that she had that final visit.
And more vibes of comfort for your Mom.
-
Rodzinski, I too have a copy of Brian Gari’s Love Online. Also procured from a dollar bin. Not listened to in ages. Not planning on listening any time soon.
-
How Late Night Comic made it to New York for even one performance is a mystery to me.
-
George I and so sorry about your Mom’s friend, she must be glad she had that last visit with her.
-
Sending hugs to Elmore.

It’s pouring down rain again so traffic is bound to be miserable

Sorry George, to learn about your mom’s good friend passing.

Vibes dear buddy Elmore. I too have been dealing with a condition I don’t think has been diagnosed properly because it is lingering, and I am trying to get in with a specialist.

I was reading about it. Some producer heard the songs and instantly raised the money from some rich person. Those were the days, I guess.

Good Friday, all!
I had another disgustingly great night of sleep.
Love my CPAP!
-
It got down to 59 degrees last night, but it's 73 degrees right now with an expected high of 84.
I do love cool nights.

I am sorry that Senator Dianne Feinstein has passed, but she has been in very poor health lately and it was just a matter of time.
She was Mayor of San Francisco when I first moved to the Bay Area in 1984. I was on USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) which was homeported across the bay from the city in Alameda. Yet, the city adopted my ship which was known as "San Francisco's Own"...and the officer's mess had on display a beautiful silver service that was, historically, unique to San Francisco. The major motif on each large piece was a golden bear (California state animal). When the ship left for other climes, the silver service went back to the city.
She dined aboard the ship several times during the three years I served on it. She always arrived via boat, crossing the bay rather than going across the Bay Bridge and through Oakland. Wasn't "seemly".
She was affectionaly known as "Di-Fi"....well before "Wi-Fi" became a common term.
-
I have no idea what today may bring.
I know I am not traveling any great distance for anything...I hope.
I may visit the recycling center. I may go to Third Generation for catfish at lunch.
I may just vegetate.
But I have in mind more cleaning, and I am revved by the idea of doing it.

Good morning, all.
-
And here we are, on one of the supremely rainy days in this region, of late a weekly or even twice-weekly event. It started last night and will continue through today and tonight and end sometime Saturday morning or noon or thereabouts.
-
(I can work the TOD into this):
I'm taking advantage of this dark, dreary day by starting in first thing watching the remaining Val Lewton films. By this afternoon I'll be done, having seen all nine of them and listened to the excellent commentaries, all within one week. Every one of these is beautiful in its own right, and it's been a satisfying journey.
-
Friday morning greetings! Just finished sorting, purging, and packing up our gift-wrapping supplies.
-
DR George, my condolences to your Mom on the passing of her friend.

Time to start building an ark, DR ChasSmith?
-
Today Richard and I are going to the upholsterer to see about having our dining room chairs recovered. Best case scenario is that they pick them up from this house and return them to the new house.
-
Tonight, a night out at the theeder. A very good local director and good actors are opening Jeffrey Hatcher's Scotland Road which we've been looking forward to. We'll be there enjoying that and the opening night par-tay afterward.
-
This is one of the regional productions that's had to open a week later than planned, due to a Covid outbreak a couple of weeks ago.
-
Speaking of which, I'll be getting the NEW! IMPROVED! UPDATED! Covid vaccination on Monday morning. I scheduled it for when I have the rest of the day and the following day free for feeling the now-expected mild fatigue afterward.
-
I will for sure get some good movie watching done then.
-
Tomorrow, when the rain will hopefully have stopped, I'll be attending a matinee performance of m other director friend's Guys and Dolls at the Bridgeport Downtown Cabaret. Definitely another one to look forward to.
-
DR George my condolences to your mother on the loss of her friend Margita :(
-
George, I think it must be a comfort to your mother knowing she visited Margita one last time.

Our vaccination is scheduled for next Friday.

We were supposed to get our flu vaccinations tomorrow. I attempted to change them to today but couldn't.
-
Now we will wait until the 13th to get our flu vaccinations.

From last night -
I, too, have a physical copy of the cast album Love Online. I think I listened to it maybe once. I stopped buying cast albums on CD a while ago (except for Kritzerland), and I'm pretty sure I have a digital copy of Late Night Comic which I believe I enjoyed when I listened to it.

Good Morning (afternoon) - it's Friday! Tomorrow, things kick into high gear. My last free day this week before White Christmas starts on Sunday night. I leave for my 4 day trip to London on Thursday night!!! And Parent/Teacher conferences are Tuesday-Thursday next week. It's going to be a crazy week for sure!
-
Enjoy London, Matthew! Travel vibes.

I keep reading articles wondering who will replace Diane Feinstein.
-
I highly suspect that this decision has already been in the works and her successor ready to go.
-
At least I would expect this to be the case considering all the requests for her to retire.
-
And her recent physical and mental state.
-
Good afternoon!

I just finished reading My Friend Anne Frank: The Inspiring and Heartbreaking True Story of Best Friends Torn Apart and Reunited Against All Odds.
-
I thought it was excellent. I read a comment by someone that the title was misleading. I guess they expected the story to be all about Anne.
-
This was Hannah's story and it was a good one, but also interesting as Anne was a big part of her story and childhood.
-
It was pouring down with rain many if the roads were flooded
-
The boss sent us home at 330
-
I started to go out the office complex through the main entrance by as I was approaching the intersection I da2 flashing lights abd cars backing up, so I made a quick detour through another parking lot and went out the back way, went through a few side streets and drive under the expressway to pick up the eastbound service road
-
When I got to the entry way to the LIE I saw it was bumper to bumper so stayed on side roads and service roads all the way home
-
There were a couple of times I had to drive on the wrong side of the road to avoid huge , deep puddles but I made it home safe and sound
-
Vixdad had come home earlier
-
In fact he never made it to the office
-
Once he got to Jamaica he realized the escalators and elevators were all out and he heard about subways flooding.
-
He just grabbed the next train home
-
On his way home some idiot drove out of a parking lot and right into the side of his car
-
Vixdad was driving down the road , the guy just thought he’d cut him off .
-
So the side of Vixdad’s car is all dented and scraped, and the guy who hit him is all dented in the hood area
-
OMG, DR vixmom! Is vixdad otherwise OK?
-
Fortunately a cop was just a couple of cars behind Vixdad so there was no waiting around and no nonsense about what might have happened or who was at fault
-
Glad you got home without incident, but yikes.
-
He’s feeling ok and the car is still drivable until he gets the insurance estimate and approval to send it to the body shop
-
Fortunately a cop was just a couple of cars behind Vixdad so there was no waiting around and no nonsense about what might have happened or who was at fault
How fortunate. But still, what a pain.
-
He’s feeling ok and the car is still drivable
All good, if it had to happen at all.
-
Did any of vixdad's air bags deploy?
-
Maybe the perp wasn't going too fast at that point.
-
I'm not a policeman, but I like to use the word "perp."
-
When warranted.

And I think it's definitely warranted.

Another harrowing narrative from our DR vixmom. I'm happy Steve is okay.
-
DR Rodzinksi, do you have this one in your collection?
-
That album cover is harrowing, too. In its own way.
-
What were they thinking?
-
It was pouring down with rain many if the roads were flooded
I was about to ask you how your roads are.
-
The boss sent us home at 330
Good for your boss.

I started to go out the office complex through the main entrance by as I was approaching the intersection I da2 flashing lights abd cars backing up, so I made a quick detour through another parking lot and went out the back way, went through a few side streets and drive under the expressway to pick up the eastbound service road
It is good you had more than one option.
-
When I got to the entry way to the LIE I saw it was bumper to bumper so stayed on side roads and service roads all the way home
Groan.
-
There were a couple of times I had to drive on the wrong side of the road to avoid huge , deep puddles but I made it home safe and sound
That is easier to do when the street isn't busy.
-
DR Vixmom I'm glad you are home safe.
-
Once he got to Jamaica he realized the escalators and elevators were all out and he heard about subways flooding.
Reading about the subway floodings is why I was concerned about your roads.
-
On his way home some idiot drove out of a parking lot and right into the side of his car
Oh no >:(

OMG, DR vixmom! Is vixdad otherwise OK?
Yes, is he ok?
-
Fortunately a cop was just a couple of cars behind Vixdad so there was no waiting around and no nonsense about what might have happened or who was at fault
That is a big relief.
-
He’s feeling ok and the car is still drivable until he gets the insurance estimate and approval to send it to the body shop
Good.
-
Vives DR Vixdad still feels fine tomorrow.
-
I'm not a policeman, but I like to use the word "perp."
;D
-
I would rather have a lower posting total for today than have had vixdad get hit.
Ditto!
-
Years ago while driving slowly in bumper to bumper traffic the guy behind the car to our right attempted to change lanes.
-
Bumper to bumper, not sure where he thought he was going.
-
He hit both our car and the car in the lane to the right of us.
-
I had been recovering from a pinch nerve in my neck.
-
I'm feeling noir-ish. Perhaps "Gaslight" and "Hanover Square" this weekend?
-
Within minutes my entire body was hurting, and my neck was much worse than it had been.
-
He hit both our car and the car in the lane to the right of us.

It really was shocking as there was absolutely no place for the guy to go ;D
-
I was thinking about our east coast readers when I saw a headline about 7.5" more rain expected.
What a story DR VIXMOM. Glad everyone is okay.
DR CHAS SMITH be careful on your way to the theeder this evening.
-
Perps.....tonight is a new episode of ON PATROL LIVE on REELZ.....so I will see many Perps.
-
DR Vixmom - glad that everyone is OK. Sorry about the car, though. That is replaceable/fixable....
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Vibes for Vixdad. Methinks a trip to a chiropractor may be in order. And coping vibes for dealing with the not inconsiderable inconvenience.
-
TOD:
I watched The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar, an adaptation of a Roald Dahl story. Definitely quirky, but also well done. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but this wasn’t it. Fine performances.
-
I’ve also been watching Mrs Sidhu Investigates. I like the main character very much, but I find the plots a bit weak. I am hungry for quality TV, though, and don’t find as much as I.’d like. I’m glad to have it.
