Well, you've read the notes, the notes are approaching their own amazing anniversary, and now it is time for you to post until the anniversary cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ESTIMABLE!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept rather well, which is unusual these days. This morning, Access-a-Ride will take me to my HMO for my flu shot. I've got the Covid vaccine scheduled for next week.
-
DR Ron Pulliam, I don't like your ENT doctor. He seems more concerned to maintain his self-importance over your health issues.
-
DR George, I loved your gift suggestion.
-
DR Matthew, safe travels to London!
-
DR John G, good health news indeed.
-
DR Rodzinski, what was the outcome from your doctor's housecall?
-
Good morning, all.
-
No more raiin the forecast, but the high is only supposed to be in the 80s today.
-
DR Ron Pulliam, I don't like your ENT doctor. He seems more concerned to maintain his self-importance over your health issues.
I had the sense he was venting out loud at his assistant and not me. He has gotten me past quite a major sinus issue and my hearing is returning slowly, so I hold out hope.
-
I have awakened on Friday morning, the 6th of October 2023.
It's a great day!
My yard is being mowed. I am drinking a wonderfully hot and flavorful cup of coffee.
I have Callie's Hot Sausage Biscuits in the oven.
Life is good.
-
The morning news is all about Trump's lawyers seeking to stall/delay everything.
I am imagining Adolf Hitler demanding the Allies and Russians halt their moves on Berlin in order for him to regroup and re-arm and survive to fight another day.
One guy on "Morning Joe" is likening Trump to "Yosemite Sam", shooting himself in the foot and raging in anger about it.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Had trouble falling asleep, but finally did and slept until 8AM, which is almost unheard of.
-
:)
-
DR George, I loved your gift suggestion.
Thanks, Larry!
-
Good morning, all.
-
I am dragging my ASS this morning.
A few hours of respite feels good.
Another cup of coffee and I’ll get moving on some things.
-
Cool temperatures and some rain today.
And that's okay - it's October after all.
-
Vibes for everyone here on HHW!
Lots of folks doing lots of things. And that's good!
-
TOD
I’ve been enjoying a return to the classic “Universal Monsters”, starting with Dracula. Go figure.
-
I have just sent my proposal to direct Flowers For Algernon for September, 2024.
I will be 74 years old by then - but I am an optimist!
-
For some reason I did not sleep well last night. I woke up every hour.....a crazy dream.....so I am sure that a nap is in order this afternoon.
-
That reminds me — I woke up in the middle of the night saying THANK GAWD that was only a dream. I have no idea now what it was.
I kind of wish I’d remember it so I could once again enjoy it being over!
-

You kids....
-
I would like some Sticky Jamaican Ginger Cake, please.
-
What a fine mess! I got to my appointed flu shot to learn I had scheduled it for yesterday!
Thw person with whom I checked in saw the HMO nurse and gave me an appointment for today I am now vaccinated.
-
Access-a-Ride was wonderful getting me to the HMO. The driver back to my apartment was the absolute nadir of all the AAR drivers I've had. He was also the first one to not get a tip from me. I'm still seething over his compleate apathy.
-
two!!
-
Good morning.
-
DR Rodzinski I am glad you are pleased with your new doctor.
-
Rodzinski, did she take blood for tests or do you need to go for a lab to have it done?
-
DR Rodzinski, thank you for the vibes.
-
So far we are testing negative for covid and will get the vaccination as planned.
-
We continue to keep our fingers crossed.
-
From Rodzinski & George:
Jaith? Keine?? ;D
;D
-
Congrats to Rodzinski on the new milestone.
-
From DR Jeanne:
Good idea, Jane. I learned that many people share Brian’s name and that Amazon has a registry. I also saw some nice kitchen items that almost anyone could use
I like what you learned, especially about the name ;D
If you have the wedding date sometimes that helps when you don't know the bride's name.
-
You are welcome Jeanne.
-
DR Ron, I am sorry that the CT scan did not rule out a tumor. I don't know about the connection to your other issues. When there is hearing loss in one ear and not the other, it is standard procedure to look for a tumor. If found, and I know several people who had that tumor, it is benign. If not removed it can cause permanent hearing loss. Of the three people I know who had the tumor, only one person had the surgery.
-
DR Ron are you able to get test results online?
-
MEGA VIBES FOR GOOD TEST RESULTS FOR DR RON!
-

I had the sense he was venting out loud at his assistant and not me. He has gotten me past quite a major sinus issue and my hearing is returning slowly, so I hold out hope.
One big reason to suspect you do not have a tumor.

Happy 100th, Glynis.

“Take heart, for Mrs. Pankhurst has been clapped in irons again!”
-
TOD:
I hope to finish up Elvira Madigan and maybe watch a Jacques Tati movie.
-
I hope to finish up Elvira Madigan
Did Carol Burnett do a parody of that?
-
DR Jrand72, you could propose a mashup of the musical Nunsense and the play Flowers for Algernon, and call it Flowers for Algernunsence.
-
That House MAGA moron Marjorie Toilet Greene is pushing Trump for Speaker of the House.
Please, God, send the cracker back to the trailer park

It seems Sirius XM has a channel just devoted to the sound of rain, 24/7.
-
I think they should branch out.
-
They could have the sounds of someone crunching on cheetos 24/7.
-
Or Cage's 4'33" on endless repeat.
-

Long day

That's funny! ;D
-
Pretty much.
-
Glad to hear the good news from DR JANE.
-
Low temps for tonight.....but I don't think I have to turn the furnace on yet.....we shall see.
-
DR Ron are you able to get test results online?
My VA tests, yes. Others I have to get from the doctors who ordered them.
-
The daylight is winding down. It has been beautiful here today.
Jack, I know what you mean about cooler weather. While it is still cooler here tonight, overnight from tomorrow to Sunday will be in the 40s here. Definitely will have the heat switched to go on when inside temps hit 68, or so.

-
Glad to hear the good news from DR JANE.
Thank you. I will relax more if I stay covid free over the next few days.
-

My VA tests, yes. Others I have to get from the doctors who ordered them.
It seems to me you should be able to sign up for "mychart" or the equivalent through the facility that does the test.

We normally get our vaccinations at our local Fred Meyer. They have a nice little waiting area on the side of the counter. It is spacious and open. You go inside a little room to get vaccinated.
-
Since Fred Meyer only has Moderna we went to our local Safeway.
-
They had an enclosed waiting area where we were the only ones wearing masks, and wear them we did as we didn't feel comfortable in the waiting area.
-
Fortunately there was a little room where we got our shots and the woman who gave them to us was efficient and injected us in the correct spot.
-
Fred Meyer always has us look at what we are getting to confirm it is the correct vaccination. Keith is the one who asked today to confirm.
-
As we left I had to ask for the paperwork that normally goes with a vaccination showing what we got.
-
Sounds like the Safeway is not living up to their name.

;D
-
Toaster, blender, shredder... Check!
-
:)
-
It looks like a popcorn popper next to the toaster.
-
Safeway sent us an email to get their digital Vaccine Record.
-
We really don't want another app or to sign up for more junk, especially since we don't plan on getting all of our vaccinations there.
-
FOUR!

It looks like a popcorn popper next to the toaster.
No home would be complete without one!

Absolutely ;D

Monday I am off work - we are traveling to the south of the state for my M-I-L's inurnment and memorial service.
-
Then on Tuesday night, there is a shiva up here for the Jewish side of the family.
-
And after that, I think I will be tuckered out.
-
Meanwhile, my aunt, who is the same age as my late MIL, just got released back to home today from transitional care for dislocating her hip. I am sure she is glad to be home.

Wow.
-
Could have sworn I posted when I finally got up.
-
Another night of five hours of sleep and I am now on the verge of getting sick and I have no time to do so.
-
Five nights of three to five hours. Not good.
-
Page six - not good.
-
Where'd George go.
-
Certainly not here in our hour of need.
-
Strange day.
-
Been popping Sambucol and taking Airborne.
-
Our leading lady now has a cold. Fine last night, sick today and she'll be out until Tuesday or Wednesday. This is why doing 99-seat theater is a trial. I do have some things to do that she's not in, but I think I'm missing about five people, maybe six.
-
Now, I'm going to write some notes and be in bed by twelve-thirty.
-
Some of my malaise is allergy-related. We've gone from chilly to deep summer in two days. And there was terrible air conditioning blowing on me last night.
-
Post away or you WILL be held responsible.
-

Him:
It seems we stood and talked like this, before

We looked at each other in the same way then
-
But I can't remember where or when
-
The clothes you're wearing are the clothes you wore
-
The smile you are smiling you were smiling then
-
But I can't remember where or when
-
Some things that happened for the first time
-
Seem to be happening again
-
And so it seems that we have met before
-
And laughed before, and loved before

But who knows where or when

Her:
When you're awake, the things you think
-
Come from the dreams you dream.
-
Thought has wings, and lots of things
-
Are seldom what they seem.
-
Sometimes you think you've lived before
-
All that you live today.
-
Things you do come back to you,
-
As though they knew the way.
-
Oh, the tricks your mind can play.
