Well, you've read the notes, the notes had no thinking cap or actual thoughts, and now it is time for you to post until the thinking cap cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SCHWERPUNKT!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
That Golden Rainbow number had so much hip-thrusting, I think they struck oil.
-
Quite entertaining.
-
When the flying unicorn entered, my jaw dropped even further, if possible.
-
I love how the chorus gals are dancing their ASSES off, while the model center stage stands absolutely still and does nothing.
-
The original member of the DO-NOTHING Club.
-
I looked at a pillow online using Google Chrome, and now my FB feed is nothing but ads from pillow companies.
-
Big Brother is watching.
-
DR vixmom, was this sign in your room? Because I'm pretty sure it is warning you that snakes may chase you.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Little Johnny secretly coveted Mary Alice's dress.
-
I slept very well. Stella showed up a little after my 4:30 bathroom break to pick a fight with Thatch. After a skirmish, Thatch jumped off the bed and Stella followed. Thatch returned; Stella did not.
-
Last night I had another Barnes & Noble dream; all I remember of it now is organizing books on a cart. The night before, I had two dreams about my friend (and DR Ginny's), Loyce, who died several years ago.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Welcome, 92 guests!
-
Bad night of sleep.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Weird night of sleep. With a bizarre dream. Nothing dramatic, just a bizarre riff on the production of Spelling Bee I’m seeing tonight.
-
TOD
A few more episodes of GHOST STORY. We’re halfway through the series now, and still enjoying it.
The Criterion release of Scorsese’s After Hours.
-
A gracious good Friday morning to all of you.
It is 61 degrees, sunny and beautiful in Johnston SC right now.
I have no idea what to expect of the day.
May serendipity reign!

This gal has just appeared down our hallway.

Just got word from a former coworker that his cancer treatment is no longer working. He’s headed home and into hospice.

I want apple dumplings. But I don't have a gang.
-
Perhaps a posse.
-
It would be a stretch.
-
I'm very sorry about your friend, DR John G.
-
Thank you, Singdaw. Fairly shaken up.
-
Two!
-
Sad news DR JOHN G.
-
I remember that William Goldman wrote a chapter about GOLDEN RAINBOW in his excellent book THE SEASON.
He told the story of standing in the lobby of the Palace Theeder after Judy Garland's performance.
Guy # 1: I don't know.....is it theatre?
Guy # 2: It's gotta be.
Guy # 1: What d'ya mean?
Guy # 2: It sure as hell ain't singin'.
-
I enjoyed all of the clips and music last night. Very nice.
-
So sorry about your co-worker, DR John G!

My friend Carol and her ex worked on Golden Rainbow. The backstage folks called it Golden Fribbis, which is a sex-related term, for those not in the know.
-
Sorry to hear that news, DR John G.
-
Good Morning - nothing new to report Something Rotten opens this eve - it's a great show. The kids are fantastic. DD's and I will head to the dog park after work today, they look forward to going and I look forward to our family outing.
-
Sorry about your co-worker, DR JohnG, that really stinks :-(
-
It's the Great Bundtkin, Charlie Brown!
-
Good morning.
-
I might not be able to stop in again today.

Thank you, Singdaw. Fairly shaken up.
I am very sorry.

Congratulations, DR Jane, on remaining NOT SICK through today.
Thank you. I did take a covid test this morning and it was negative.
-
I doubt that there will be any tv viewing this evening.
-
If there is, it will likely just be an episode of Corner Gas before going to sleep.
-
Just waiting for our friends to arrive. They said between 11:00 & 12:00.
-
We have watched the first four episodes of season three of Bosch Legacy and they have been excellent.
-
We will have to wait until Monday, after our company leaves, to watch the 5th episode.
-
Jane, did you finish Station Eleven?

Very good news, Jane!
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.
-
Well, the drama continues and may, in fact, be insurmountable at this point. We're now in danger of just cancelling the show, which would be a disaster for the theater, needless to say. I did what I could to repair the damage that's caused the drama and I'm hoping light will be seen and that we can soldier on. I won't know for a couple of hours. It would be a shame to throw out all the hard work.
-
That's terrible news, BK.
-
DR Jrand72, this made me think of you, for some strange reason.
-
An oldie but goodie.
-
Sending vibes for BK and company.
-
Emma never knew wrong from right
Which left her in the dark
Unable to see the light
-
Well, to add to the blah nature of the day: One of Mom’s Caregivers found out that her physical therapist told Mom she would never walk again, which has depressed Mom. Why would you do that?
-
Watching the Godfather movies has left me with several ideas on how to handle a certain physical therapist. If you know what I mean.
-
Vibes for MR BK & Co.
A pox on those causing the drama and discord.
-
Yes DR JANE - the technician said she ALWAYS checks the prescriptions when the glasses come in......
-
My sister Molly does the work on the computer/AI two or three hours three times a week or so.
My sister Myrna does two hours about every other day.....
-
I liked that preview for MAESTRO......
-
I wonder if DR RON PULLIAM ever finished TAR?
-
Aw man! I hope 70 Girls can be saved. Seems like a great time for that show.
-
Sorry to hear about your friend, John G.

Well, to add to the blah nature of the day: One of Mom’s Caregivers found out that her physical therapist told Mom she would never walk again, which has depressed Mom. Why would you do that?
That's really sad.
-
It’s a sunny day here. A balmy 49 degrees, or as the Canadians would say, 9.
-
Just happened across this interview between two friends of DR elmore3003: Mark Eden Horowitz and Charlie Harmon.

I have really tried to develop an innate sense of the correspondence between Fahrenheit and Celsius, but my brain just doesn't work like that.
-
I have seen "You'll Never Walk Alone" listed on a program erroneously as "You'll Never Walk Again."
-
Watching the Godfather movies has left me with several ideas on how to handle a certain physical therapist. If you know what I mean.
You gonna confront the PT?

Just got word from a former coworker that his cancer treatment is no longer working. He’s headed home and into hospice.
How awful. I’m sorry

For those who haven't already seen it on social media, here's Jonathan Tunick being presented with his portrait at Sardi's.

Well, we'll see how this evening's start goes, but ladies and germs, I am going in swinging.

If it ain't got that swing.

Why yes, I do have one in every color!
And matching trousers?
-
I wonder if DR RON PULLIAM ever finished TAR?
He has not...yet.
-
Wow. Nothing like having several moments of my life eliminated scrolling through countdowns.
-
I love me some mushrooms
-
In fact I had some tonight
-
We ordered curbside pickup from the Texas Roadhouse down the block from the timeshare property
-
It was quite delicious
-
I had the 6 Oz sirloin, medium rare, with mushrooms and a baked sweet potato with brown sugars and cinnamon butter.
-
There are no photos so you’ll just have to take my word for it
-
Well we’re all packed except for morning necessities
-
And the coolers
-
But the refreezable cooler doohickeys have been in the freezer all week,
Sandwiches have been made and individually packaged
Beverages are chilling
-
So it will just be a matter of minutes to pack them in the morning
-
We’re going over to the kids’ and we’ll meet them and then head over to Keke’s for breakfast
-
Then we’ll head for Lumberton
-
I love me some mushrooms
Me too.
-
Nice night of dancing.
-
Back from a good rehearsal - and on we'll go. I'll write about today's drama in the notes, but I will be circumspect.
-
I'm home after playing three games of Phase 10.
-
For the first time in a while, I won one game! ;D
-
AND when I got home, this was waiting for me!
-
And what also was in the package (because I also ordered it), was this:
-
"What is it?" you may ask.
-
It's fountain pen ink!
-
A couple of years ago, I bought some fountain pens online that were purported to normally cost between $50 and $70, but we're on sale for only $1 + $4 shipping each.
-
So I took a chance and bought these four:
-
They looked and felt pretty good...but even if they turned out to be not so great, at $5 each, it wouldn't be a horrible loss.
-
PAGE NINE DANCE!! :D
-
Here's what the look like with the caps off:
-
I think I like the wooden one most (at least, at this point), mainly because it's the only one where the cap twists on and off easily and doesn't have to be pulled (popped) off and potentially fling ink everywhere.
-
So that's the one I filled.
-
Here's what the inside looks like:
-
This is after I've put some ink in it:
-
And here's my name written with the fountain pen:
-
It writes pretty smoothly, so that's good.
-
I rarely need to write anything other than signing credit card receipts anymore, but it'll be fun to have, nonetheless. :)
-
I do have to make sure that the pen is held in a specific orientation to the paper.
-
You can't write with this when the pen is upside down or sideways.
-
So, we'll see how it goes!
-
;D
-
Tomorrow, I'm ushering for the final Saurday matinee performance of Every Brilliant Thing.
-
I've volunteered for this three times before, but I only stayed to see the show twice.
-
For both times I stayed, I did not get to see the first 15 or so minutes, so hopefully I'll get to today.
-
Then after that, I'm working barback for the Patty Griffin + Todd Snider concert.
-
That'll be good, I'm sure.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
You can, too.
-
They are easy to read.
-
They 'splain things.
-
They really do.
-
What?
-
Did someone say something?
-
Is there gaslighting going on?
-
I think so.
-
Maybe. ::)
-
See?
-
Oh, look! It's Page Ten!!
