Vixmom, how close is O’Toole’s to the Shed? The place looks nice.
But these eggs and bacon should kick in pretty soon.
! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! TURN BACK YOUR CLOCKS ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Somewhere I have a couple copies of the NY Cast CD of Saturday Night with Sondheim's first name misspelled as "Steven" on the packaging.
Those were immediately recalled and re-printed.
DR George, you do know that Alan Jay Lerner wrote "I Remember It Well" twice?
Once Upon A Mattress has been on hold for over a week because of Joshie's other commitments. I am under-employed, broke, and bored. I don't know at the moment how I'm paying for trips to Indiana in March. Color me concerned.
Good news about the progress of Kritzer World.
Saturday morning breakfast...

Congrats on your 2/6 Wordle, DR George!

How is it for easy access? I do not want another Joe Allen experience with stairs.

It appears to be in the next block
DR VIXMOM where is mine?

You bought cash and it only cost you $2.83? What a deal!

I didn't know that!
Last night I listened to all but the last 30 minutes of that Mark Horowitz interview with Charlie Harmon, and I was spellbound. First of all, you can’t beat the fascinating subject matter. But it’s also an incredibly listenable conversation due to Harmon’s perfect recall, his relaxed, no bullshit way of speaking, and I swear there’s not a wasted syllable between the two of them. I would have finished it last night but I was starting to get sleepy and I didn’t want to miss a word.
Anyway I just made a reservation in my name for 5 at 11.
Let me know if you boys want me to cancel

Do you have Charlie's book?

Oy. I'm wearing my new glasses, and the computer distance is not great (nor was it expected to be) like it will be after the surgeries and getting the right type of reading glasses... but, all of that having been said, I must confess that I read that as:
Let me know if you boys want me to dance
I want DR vixmom to dance. And I am a boy. I think.
Beaded clutches notwithstanding.
Six years ago today, I attended a cat adoption to find Annabelle a little brother. It was at a Petco ten blocks up Broadway at 92nd Street. The adoption began at 2:00, and by 3:00 I had discovered and filled out adoption forms for a 3-month old baby named Thatch. Five days later, I traveled to northern Manhattan to bring him home. It was followed by a month of hell and a period of debate over returning him, but our DR Laura was a constant source of encouragement./ Everything she predicted about Thatch came true, and I would now die before giving him up.
I can be very accommodating
Can I ask you to sign this petition?

Kids are cruel like that.
Coffee Crisp madness! During one of my job interviews with potential coworkers they were quite fascinated by the idea of Coffee Crisps. I intimated that if hired, I would send some.
I did indeed receive a job offer. I pushed for a little more money. They budged a little bit. Not much. But I think I’ll take the gig after I get a few answers to a few questions on Monday.
Oh, shoot. I think I went the wrong way. Oh, well.

Wordle; 3/6
Thanks DRs Jane and George for the Wordle comments!
And you can stop on the way and get some of the highest quality clothing!

O! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! TURN BACK YOUR CLOCKS ! ! ! ! ! ! !
NO!!!!!
Dang. I don't even have the first thing baked, and already I've received a complaint.
Someone in this house loudly complained about the lack of tuna juice from the can.
Two more B I G trash bags of stuff have been eliminated from The Closet....along with one small bag.
I am doing nothing.
Has anyone seen "Fellow Travelers" on Showtime?
A member in good standing of the Do Nothing Club.
I would like to choreograph a dance for DR VIXMOM and DR singdaw.
It is a glorious 64 degrees here.
All of my neighbors are blowing, raking, and otherwise interfering with their leaves.
I am doing nothing.

Good for you!!
I’d planned to spend part of today tossing more of my late neighbor’s stuff, but I’m just not in the mood. I do find that it helps to be in the mood to toss. Otherwise, things get moved around, but don’t actually go OUT. This stuff needs to go out — Goodwill or trash, but out.
I just put a pumpkin bread into the oven, which will take an hour to bake. So I can sit down a few minutes. Well, and clean up the kitchen for the next round.
I've made gluten-free blueberry muffins, zucchini muffins, apple muffins, and a pumpkin bread for the morning session.
For the afternoon session I'll make some brownies, chocolate zucchini mini-loaves, and some snickerdoodles. And I need to make the sugar-free thing, too.
I am doing nothing.

NO!!!!!
I wish we could say no to this.
Speaking of baked goods...
DR Laura, have you considered making "Santa's Trash" cookies?
I didn't make the chocolate zucchini mini loaves. I figured the brownies would be enough chocolate.
Besides, I ran out of sugar.

I would have added A Haunting in Venice if I hadn't already seen it this week.
It is easily the best of the three Christie-inspired adaptations (loose) that Branagh has done. Production values are superb. The supporting cast is wonderful.
However, Branagh is not now, has never been, and never will be acceptable to me as "Hercule Poirot". His French accent is a bit odd, too.
And why on earth it was necessary to make Ariadne Oliver (Agatha Christie's literary alter ego) an AMERICAN is beyond me. The essence of her character has been altered, as well. Tina Fey is good, but she's not Ariadne Oliver to me. All in all, if Branagh had changed the names of the two leads, all would have been well for me.
I hate Kenneth Branagh's ego.
I think I'll skip the Santa's trash cookies. The vegan who comes to meetings finds something wrong with everything.
I made ants on a log once. Celery, peanut butter, and raisins. It wasn't good enough.
We drove all afternoon to Cayuga Lake, where a friend lives.
The view from Betty’s patio
Betty has two beautiful cats, Molly and Esther. Not named for Polyester’s twins.
The view from Carol’s backyard is beautiful. Where are you again?

They found him this afternoon. As could be expected after 3 days and 3 nights, the news was not good. But he was found. They have not said where.
Nine or ten is an unusual age to have read Working. DR Rodzinski I am guessing someone in your house purchased the book and you picked it up.

At least "he" was found and not "his body"? :-\

He was not alive, if I was unclear.
