Well, you've read the notes, the notes gained an hour while I gained some weight, and now it is time for you to post until the gaining cows come home.

And the word of the day is: PATIENT!

~~~Garage Door Vibes for Rodzinski!!~~~
Lol. I gotta laugh or I’d be cryin’. Thanks. In the scheme of life it’s not a big deal. I was able with some difficulty to manually close the garage. So now we’ll just leave it shut until it is fixed in some months’ time.
-
No parking in the garage this winter *sob*
-
And Mrs R is not happy with me.
-
But so far she is not making me sleep in the garage.
-
But so far she is not making me sleep in the garage.
Whew!!
-
I got into the habit of not starting my car until my garage door is completely open. I think I have an irrational fear of suffocating from the exhaust fumes, even though I know that that can't happen in such a short amount of time. ::)
Everyone’s on display on Sunday-
The day off! 🎶
-
I am sorry to have been so E&T.
Am going through a very challenging time, and have not been able to express myself in ways that make sense.
It might take awhile.
-
Will return one day when my mood is more positive.
I do try to keep up with the notes and posts.
-
Break a leg, BK on Friday.
Happy and healthy vibes to everyone.
😊
-
Rodzinski, thanks for remembering and missing me.
Good luck with the new job, and congrats!
-
Wishing you all a lovely Sunday.
-
Take care, DR DR Iris!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Glad things are working out for BK & Company, show-wise.
-
I slept rather well, but Stella seemed put out by the extra hour since breakfast was later than usual. It was a night filled with dreams, most of which I no longer remember. One had to do with finishing work at Goodspeed and coming home, only I returned to Ohio, not Manhattan.
-
DR Rodzinski, sorry to read about the garage door. Will your insurance cover the repair?
-
DR John G, I expect you to report that you have found Rip van Winkle.
-
DR Rodzinski, sorry to read about the garage door.
DITTO!
One more.
Welcome to PAGE TWO
-
Good morning, all.
-
DR Iris, it was grand to see you. Vibes of peace.
-
DR Matthew, thank you for your Titanic review. I saw the show on Broadway. The sinking was laughable, but the show itself was good enough to survive.
-
DR John G, I expect you to report that you have found Rip van Winkle.
No bowling on the mountain tops, as a song from the musical version of Rip suggests. That was written by my friend, Kermit Goell.
-
Garage door vibes for DR Rodzinski. And some driving vibes.
-
Good morning.
-
I'm about to head out for my event. I hope 1) people show up and 2) people eat these muffins.
-
Those muffins aren't going to eat themselves.
-
Good morning, fellow time travelers!*
*except DR Laura
-
And for all of those with cats... welcome to Hell. :)
-
OMG, DR Rodzinski. You did the obverse (or something) of what I did backing out of my garage earlier in the year. The garage door was open but the station wagon's hatch was up, and that haunts me every single time I prepare to back out now. In my case, the car's hatch took the damage, and I was probably lucky that it was "only" $800 worth. Which I did NOT make an insurance claim on. And the garage door was totally fine. Lordy.
-
Happy "Standard Time" Sunday!
I slept very well. I dreamed. Interestingly enough, I remember naught other than the dreams were pleasant.
-
I do not know from garage door incidents.
I consider myself fortunate if the garage doors open when I push the buttons.
-
DR Iris: I do hope things go better for you in the very near future. Would enjoy reading more posts from you.
-
Happy Sunday to one and all...the newest episode of the Broadway Radio Show is now up on the website for your listening pleasure. David Levy is back with more show tune covers and this time we're calling it Offstage Covers. You'll have to give it a listen to find out what that exactly means, but you will hear some wonderful songs performed by some of the greats from Broadway!
Today is the day we have the Trail Talk for the 40th anniversary of the Phoenix [Theeder] Cultural Center.
So I shall clean myself and be on my way about 2:45 p.m. And I hope there is a spot in the parking lot for me.
Peter White has died. I used to see him regularly when I worked at The Drama Book Shop. He was such a nice man, the complete opposite of that shit Jeff Daniels. My mother loved him on All My Children, and he sent her a signed photo.
From John:
Carol Is in the town of Catskill.
The cats are a delight.
She is lucky to live in such a beautiful area. Pet the cats for me. I am envious.
-
From Rodzinski:
They found him this afternoon. As could be expected after 3 days and 3 nights, the news was not good. But he was found. They have not said where.
While sad, found is very good.
-
In 2011 my friend's father went missing. She had to call and pester news stations to finally get them to report his story. I helped by calling homeless shelters in the area to see if a nameless man fitting his description was there. Finally her father was found where his car went off the road. It was not a happing ending but the family no longer had to worry and wonder where he was.
-
He was found because another car went off the road in the exact same embankment about a week later. Fortunately that man survived and was able to call for help.
-
Rodzinski I am sorry about your garage door. Vibes the fix is easy.
-
And Mrs R is not happy with me.
I get that. I would not be happy to have to leave the cars out when it is cold.
-
But so far she is not making me sleep in the garage.
Thanks for all garage door vibes and stories. George actually triggered for me why it happened. I was getting kids and presents and stuff in car and had not opened the garage door. I got in and reflexively started the car and was like, yikes I don’t want to be in a closed garage with car running, and as I’m thinking that, I started backing up but I went faster than the door was opening and [cue ugly sound from behind me].
-
It was interesting to read how your mind was working at the time.
-
It makes sense.
-
My hope is I can just order the bottom panel that I f’d up. Then I gotta get someone to install it. Otherwise I have to have someone out twice. Companies like to charge 3-400 bucks just to come up here. I’d like to not involve insurance but if whole door needs replacing, might have to.
-
Good luck it works out the way you want it to, with a shorter time frame.
-
I learned a new word today, twatwaffle.
-
I thought it was a great word until I read the full definition. To my shock it was the twat portion of the word that I find unacceptable.
-
Somehow simply calling someone a waffle doesn't sound as good ;D
-
;D
-
Too late for DR Laura's event today, I found this idea.
You can coat pretzel sticks in white chocolate and make a fake spent ashtray. :P
-
Wouldn't that just go over like gangbusters?
Good afternoon.
You come up with the greatest projects, Singdaw.
The ash is probably silver/gray sugar crystals. I do love it.
-
Half of the people who sent RSVPs showed up. Lots of muffins left over. The sugar-free people were excited there was something for them.
-
Good Morning - church went well. Quick stop at TJ's for grocery's and now I must correct religion tests. Tonight (and all week) is White Christmas which is coming along. And that is all I have.
-
The Maid of the Mist trip was incredible. The falls are awe-inspiring.
-
So glad you got to do that, DR John G. I've always wanted to.
I assume you have to wear raingear?
We are going to a cabaret performance tonight at Crooners, a jazz/piano bar club. We know both the singer and the pianist.
It's the sort of place where you order dinner beforehand and people eat during the show. I prefer to be finished eating by the time the performance begins.
Sunday evening greetings! We had a short, but very sweet and productive, visit from Rob and Charlotte. They arrived about 4pm yesterday and Rob got right to work loading up his car with stuff that’s going to live with them.
-
We all went to church this morning in 2 separate cars. When it was over one car headed for Illinois and the other went to peek in the windows at our home-to-be.
Not all, DR Jane, and not that long ago. Some of what went this time were things that he and they had left behind when they lived here.
It has to be a relief for those items to go. Will they be returning for anything else before you move?
We could fill their car again, but, alas, no more visits are planned before we move.
Will they be able to make a trip after you move or will you have to empty your house by then?
Am fairly well finished packing for my two-day beach trip. We leave in the moring and will get there by lunch. We leave to return Wednesday morning.
As it stands, I still am not looking forward to it, but I'm not resisting it, either. Maybe it will be just what I need to snap out of my current mindset.
Food experiences should be good to exceptional.
-
I hope you have a wonderful time and do believe you just need to get away and have a change of scenery and activity.
Hello, everyone.
A beach trip sounds very nice to me, but I understand that the company makes a big difference.
The Trail Talk was a lot of fun.
We told a lot of stories and all of us brought our late friend Bryan forward as the impetus for so much change in Indy Theeder and in our lives.
Laughter and tears.
-
Watching some clips of silent movies put together in the 1950's on TCM.
Still funny.
