Good morning, all.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Congratulations, Rodzinski! Hope you love digging into things there.
-
I slept quite poorly; it was way too warm in the apartment. I also had several panic attacks about ridiculous matters, so that did nothing to help.
-
The chocolate tour was quite wonderful. The chocolate was definitely tasty. Well worth the trip. CFx was the name. My favorites were dar chocolate covered ginger and chocolate covered dried cherries.

Good morning, all.
-
I had a better sleep than I did the past two nights. The usual stupid dreams showed up, but what are you gonna do.
-
I don’t know which things I’m going to attack today. I don’t want to work outdoors, but there are tons of leaves to blow off the grasses and driveway. And it gets cold starting tomorrow.
-
I do have to run a couple of errands, too.
-
I don’t know which things I’m going to attack today.
I'm glad that you stipulated "things" and not "people." Though heaven knows, there are probably some folks that give you cause.
-
They certainly do me.
-
Tomorrow night we’re going to see the second and last showing of the London TITANIC at the movie theeder. That should be fun.
-
Welcome to PAGE TWO!!
-
Speaking of Hitchcock…
A few days ago I posted something in a Facebook thread about NORTH BY NORTHWEST. Last night I saw that someone had “hearted” my post…and that someone was Eva Marie Saint.
So how cool is that, eh?
Then I noticed that she had “hearted” ALL the posts in the thread. The hussy!
EDIT: Probably not even her. Someone said it could be a fan page doing the "likes" or "hearts", and I bet that's right.

;D

Anyone care to recommend an overview book on Hitchcock's films? There seem to be a lot of them.
-

Truffaut/Hitchcock
-
Thank you, DR ChasSmith.
-
To the guy who invented the zero:
Thanks for nothing.
-
Congratulations, Rodzinski! Hope you love digging into things there.
Thanks. Ha!
-
Got my ballot in yesterday. The key is to research people running for school boards, weed out any MAGA wackos trying to infiltrate.
-
Streisand on working with Sondheim.

Truffaut/Hitchcock
Also my recommendation.
-
Thanks, DR John G.
-
I also like the Robin Wood book that MR BK mentioned in the notes but it is not exhaustive.
-
I decided to make it a ME day and do my shopping tomorrow.
I will be carefully watching the Indianapolis Mayoral election - a MAGA MAN vs. the ineffectual Democratic incumbent.
It is TRUMP INDIANA - but Marion County/Indianapolis [where I don't live] is majorly Democratic. So time will tell.
I voted for a few things in my hometown.....
-
Congrats to Editor Rodzinski.
-
The Perry White of HHW.
"Don't call me chief!"
-
Thanks DR JEANNE - those are my new Walmart special glasses.....the optician told me after I asked that those were what the "cool kids were wearing."
-
TOD:
In order of my favorites.....
North By Northwest
The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956)
The Birds
Notorious
Saboteur
Psycho
-
BUT I love them all.
-
BUT I love them all.
Yup.
-
From DR Jeanne:
I’ve never toured a chocolate factory. Does it turn you off from ever eating chocolate again?
I would think not. Years ago, but unfortunately after the tour became a fake ride, we toured the Hershey Chocolate Factory in Hershey PA.
We could still smell the actual chocolate cooking. OMG was it wonderful. We enjoyed the fake tour.
-
It was in the candy shope at the end of the tour that Keith purchased a five pound Hersey bar for the kids. Knowing I tried to limit the amount of junk food they ate, a number of the boys mothers called me in disbelief that the story of the huge candy bar was true. I could proove it happened as I kept the wrapper on a bulletin board for a couple of years.
-
From George:
Archaeologists uncovered over 100,000 ancient coins, some more than 2,000 years old
Very cool.
-

Chocolate covered dried cherries sound yummy.
-
Now he is a US citizen we will go to vote together after work
Very nice!
-
Thank you all for your kind congratulations.
-
JRand, I am more like the J. Jonah Jameson.
-
Ah.....well.....the pay is probably the same.
-
Thank you all for your kind congratulations.
When do you begin your new job?
-
We are across the street from the train tracks and often we see pretty and/or interesting trains go by.
-
To day we saw one we haven't seen before that caught our attention.

-
I will just call that the page three train dance ;)
-
I'm up, I'm up - maybe five hours of sleep.
-
Yay for Rodzinski.
-
We’re about halfway to Catskill, just outside Syracuse.
-
Cold, windy and overcast.
-
Thank you all for your kind congratulations.
When do you begin your new job?
End of the month.
-
DR JANE that's a great photo!
I love to watch trains, too.
-
“You’re spending portions of your internet day with the new editor of American Cemetery & Cremation Magazine. So there!“
Congrats, Rodzinski, on the new job!
Well urn’d.
-
I’ll show myself out.
-
;D
Good one, DR DR Iris!
-
Thank you all for your kind congratulations.
When do you begin your new job?
End of the month.
Enjoys your free time until then, though I expect you have projects to complete from now until you start.
-
DR JANE that's a great photo!
I love to watch trains, too.
Thanks though I can't take credit for the photo. I found one online that was as close to our view as possible.

I was completely stuck and tried a totally different word for my fourth try. Fortunately, it worked for me.

Tomorrow night we’re going to see the second and last showing of the London TITANIC at the movie theeder. That should be fun.
I wish I could see that. :-\
-
Made it to Catskill in one piece.
-
Streisand on working with Sondheim.
https://www.vulture.com/2023/11/book-excerpt-barbra-streisand-broadway-album-stephen-sondheim.html
This is great...HOWEVER in one paragraph, she wrote:
Steve had distilled all the struggle, anxiety, antagonism, and excitement experienced by any artist into “Putting It Together.” The only problem was that it was about the art world and a visual artist (George Seurat’s grandson, who worked with lasers and light), rather than a recording artist.
She should've written:
George Seurat’s fictional great-grandson...
-
;)
-
Picky, aren’t we?
-
Good.
-
I gave up on Midnight in the Christmas Bookshop about 30 minutes into it.
-
But I finished the first volume of Jon Fosse’s Septology. Good stuff.
-
Let’s get off this page.
-
It’s past time.
-
Now.
-
Four!
-
DR Iris, I loved your pun.

That's really cool, Jane...even if you didn't take the picture yourself!
-
“You’re spending portions of your internet day with the new editor of American Cemetery & Cremation Magazine. So there!“
Congrats, Rodzinski, on the new job!
Well urn’d.
That's funny, Iris!
-
I forgot Strangers on a Train earlier.
-
And Spellbound.
-
Picky, aren’t we?
I have my moments. ;)
-
Under the least liked, I forgot Under Capricorn.
-
And I wish I had never remembered it.
-
Likewise Jamaica Inn.
-
Picky, aren’t we?
I have my moments. ;)
We all do.
-
Picky, aren’t we?
I have my moments. ;)
We all do.
Yup...they're just few and far between.
-
To Catch a Thief was charming.
-
Dial M for Murder had 3-D.
-
Lifeboat had great claustrophobia.
-
All these wonderful choices.
-
The Wrong Man
Rope
-
We’ve been on this page for too long too.
-
I’ve been reading election returns.
-
Kentucky’s results look promising.
-
With 71% of the vote counted.
-
On to Ohio.
-
Their polls closed an hour ago.
-
I always thought The Man Who Knew to Much with Jimmy Stewart & Doris Day was wonderful. I don't recall watching the original version and can't compare them.
-
Bruce, I think it is nice you were able to tell Tippi Hedren that she was wonderful in Marnie. She was, but it is sad others did not think so.
-
Likewise Jamaica Inn.
I never miss a good Alfred Hitchcock musical.
-
Oh, never mind.
-
That was Jamaica.
-
Did the shelter think this would make the dog more appealing?
-
We get Veteran's Day (observed) off this year! We have had to work that day for the past 6 years, but this year we get it off.
-
Ha.
-
Five!

Congrats.
-
I have been browsing the internet to find earrings as nice as the single earring I lost while walking on Sunday. Alas, nothing comes close.
-
While walking today we kept our eyes glued to the path hoping to find it. With the wind & rain blowing leaves on the ground yesterday is was like trying to find a needle in a haystack.
-
For over thirty years they stayed just fine in my ears. Darn.
-
'night
-
This is where I am now:
-
Sorry about the earring, DR Jane.
-
Guardedly good election results tonight across the nation.
-
May it be so a year from now, as well.
-
The audiobook version of Streisand's new memoir, narrated by herself, is 48+ hours long.
-
DR John G. - have you thought about if you will remain in Texas for some time after you retire?
-
I was awake last night thinking about a very bad problem at work.
-
There were two meetings today, and as a result I think everything is going to be just fine.
-
Color me relieved.
-
I am sorry about your earring loss Jane
-
Does earring loss lead to hearing loss?
-
Or herring loss?
-
I lost a herring once.
-
Mitigation is the buzz word of the day.
-
Or, in the case of Mitzi Gaynor, mitzigation.
-
I'm vamping here.
-
A scamp
-
A vamp
-
And a bit of tramp.
-
One more will do it.
-
Welcome to page six!
-
DR Rodzinski will soon be proofing the
gallows galleys.
-
After everyone else goes home from the office at night, he will be all that cremains.
-
I'm out.
-
Good night, friends.
-
Guardedly good election results tonight across the nation.

~~~SUPER DITTO!!~~~
-
The audiobook version of Streisand's new memoir, narrated by herself, is 48+ hours long.
But did she record the entire 48+ hours? I remember when a special DVD of What's Up, Doc? was released and she recorded commentary for "special scenes," and it turned out to be only maybe four scenes total.
-
Four scenes? Ripoff!
-
Tonight was the first time that I had seen all the one-act plays on TAO's An Improbably Peck of Plays V (https://www.olytheater.com/).
-
The evening will consist of nine different one-act plays directed by five different directors.
-
I didn't count how many actors are involved, but most actors are in more than one playlet.
-
My friend Kyle is in three very different plays.
-
He said that between the three plays, it's one of the largest roles that he's had in quite a while.
-
There are no sets.
-
They just use block and projections with stage lights.
-
The projections are, of course, images that set the scenes.
-
And all the images are very well done.
-
Finally back from our final dress/tech about which more in the notes, which I'll start on now. George, that leaves you about forty minutes to get us off this damn page.
-
And go.
-
Go and.
-
Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their HHW.
-
Page six is thin.
-
Which is more than I can say.
-
I do have some reduced fat Wheat Thins waiting to be eaten.
-
And they will be eaten.
-
Finally back from our final dress/tech about which more in the notes, which I'll start on now. George, that leaves you about forty minutes to get us off this damn page.
Forty minutes? :o What can I post about??
-
Okay, here's a post:
(https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/74/Posts_on_the_saltmarsh%2C_Warton_Sands_-_geograph.org.uk_-_1658558.jpg)
PAGE SEVEN DANCE!!
I do not care for page seven.
-
And clearly page seven does not care for me.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
