-
Good morning, all!

Our Moonshine & Mistletoe producer had a Hallmark movie premiere last night, Mystery on Mistletoe Lane, and I stayed up later than usual to watch it. I'm not a Hallmark movie fan, but the toxic cuteness level wasn't high as I feared, and I didn't turn it off in disgust.

Good Friday, all.
Today is the 248th birthday of the United States Marine Corps.
I have the utmost admiration for all Marines!
-
TOD: Gosh! It has been so very long since I have listened to any CDs or played any Blu Ray/DVDs.
-
I am off to the post office to mail two packages. One is a gift for a friend, and the other is a returned steelbook to Barnes and Noble. The steelbook arrived "in pieces", and I don't do pieces when it comes to my steelbook 4K videos.
-
But what about Snausages?
Let me check my catalogue.

Good morning!

Happy Anniversary, HHW!
-
Condolences to DR Ginny and DH Richard.

Wordle: 2/6 I have to say that using "SLATE" as the opening word really helps
-
Friday morning greetings! Richard and I are off in 2 different directions today. He’s going to the Veterans Day celebration in our future neighborhood and I’m going to help at the AAUW Holiday Bazaar. Folded into both there are moving-related elements, but it will be nice to get away from the chaos here at home for a couple of hours.
-
Thank you to DRs Vixmom, Rodzinski, and KevinH for your kind words of sympathy.
-
Get well vibes for DR WFO! Pneumonia is no fun.

I made some popcorn chicken for lunch/dinner and later.
-
I went to Menard's to spend my $44 rebate that I got when I bought my lawn mower last summer.
A new welcome mat, a plunger with a SHORT handle, a big bag of dishwasher pods, and two bottles of drain cleaner.
-
I was going to go to White Castle.....but decided not to when I thought of ALL THAT BREAD.
-
When I was in Walmart to get some hot dogs, I heard someone say my name.....I turned around and it was my friend Scott.
We went to junior high & high school and graduated in the same class.
So we had a mini reunion there. It was fun. He showed me some photos of his grown up daughter.....she was one of my gymnastic students way back when.

That's funny!

What's also funny is that one of the one-act plays in An Improbable Peck of Plays V for which I'm running sound is about a divorced couple whose kid talks only in emojis! ;D
-
She'll say things like "Happy face, winky face, poop emoji," or whatever she needs to say to express her emotions.

Condolences to DR GINNY & DH RICHARD.
Thank you, DR JRand. While I was cashiering at the AAUW holiday bazaar, I had a special visitor - Edna’s older daughter Rev. Amy. We hugged, we cried, we laughed and I sent on her way home to her family for the weekend.
-
Well, this is cool...here are Laura Benanti and Julia Murney with Lewis Cleale in a scene from the off-Broadway production of Jack Viertel and Skip Kennon's Time and Again (https://m.youtube.com/watch?si=dx60eRuChFw0fsqe&v=seXKiSwyPDo)!

Jen came down and helped me set up the paper shredder. The cats hate it.

I spent the day with one of my best friends from college. Jim came over from Connecticut. We both worked in Catskill back in the 1980s. It was great to see him and see how the town has changed since we lived here.

I was in Beverly Hills visiting my father and went to the market. Susan Gordon was in town visiting her mother. We almost crashed head first into each other with our shopping carts ;D
-
That is how we reconnected with Susan. We were living in Pennsylvania at the time and she was in New Jersey.
-
At our next high school reunion I drove to NJ, picked her up, and we flew to LA together. Keith met me there from a business trip, stayed a few days for the reunion and went elsewhere again on another business trip.

MAGA Moron and Trump harlot Marjorie Taylor Greene has written a book? Really?
So, two questions:
1. Was it written in crayon?
2. Who really wrote it?

Should be called Losing Team Publishing.

Bruce, I am very pleased the show just came together last night.

One summer while I was in high school, our family went to California to visit relatives and we went to Disneyland one day. I forgot to mention that those were very nice pictures in your notes, BK!
-
I'm up, I'm up - seven hours of sleep.
-
Got up at one, had a few telephonic conversations, ate three chicken tenders from Popeye's and got a free item - their new sweet and sour wings - I could not get past the gross smell and threw them out - the tenders were okay. Also had a small thing of mac and cheese and a small thing of coleslaw.
-
Wrote the opening night cards and that took some time.
-
And have been relaxing a bit. Plan is to leave here in an hour.

More opening night vibes for BK and company!
-
Hello, everyone.

Mega vibes to WFO!

Show vibes to BK and cast and crew for a great opening night and a good run!

I went to acupuncture today for a much-needed treatment. I then picked up a falafel take-out and went to the bank.
-
Hello, Jeanne!
-
My vision is better as a result of yesterday’s procedure, but I’m still having some side effects, which I hope will soon depart. Thanks for all the vibes.
-
Good night, all.
-
Hi, John G!
Where did you attend college?
-
My little space heater, which I love and is at present my only source of heat, is now emitting a suspicious odor. It’s only a year old. It has a 5-year warranty, but I need a replacement asap, so I purchased a new one. It should be here tomorrow. No heat tonight and I get cold easily. I shall bundle up.

Did you misstep, misspeak or misspell?
Did you drop a mistle on your toe?

We have an audience!
-
And a couple of the authors are here tonight, too.
-
Intermission!
-
The first act went pretty well.
-
A couple of phumphers (sp?), but they were not noticeable...the actors just kept talking and found their way.
-
Another opening of another show!
-
The second act went better than the first act!
-
The whole show ran just under two hours, including the intermission, so that was good.
-
Hugs for Iris
Thank you, Vixmom.
You make the world a better place. ❤️
-
BK, i hope your show went well tonight.
-
Back from opening night. I was told there were very few reservations two days ago - was hoping for twenty or thirty people - full house. I think they really enjoyed the show but we had horrible sound problems throughout the show - the sound guy promised me he'd get it sorted out. There are two or three things that aren't landing properly, I'll attend to those tomorrow. Plenty of huge laughs tonight, and I continue to be VERY proud of Boom Ditty Boom because it's harder than you think to get laughs just from staging.
-
More in the notes. I'm exhausted and sorely in need of about ten modern major miracles, including one in the immediate that will be disastrous if not gotten.
-
Are we on page SIX?
-
And George is where exactly?
-
Stuffing his face with free tacos?
-
Down some damn rabbit hole.
-
Napping?
-
On the phone with a long lost friend?
-
One other thing - I do not care for page seven.
-
More in the notes. I'm exhausted and sorely in need of about ten modern major miracles, including one in the immediate that will be disastrous if not gotten.
~~~SUPER VIBES FOR BK'S TEN MODERN MAJOR AND IMMEDIATE MIRACLES!!~~~
-
So, tonight after the show, I got gas at the local Fred Meyer.
-
I had less than a quarter of a tank, so I needed to fill it up.
-
I was filling my tank and then I realized that there was some water-like noise!
-
I looked down and the gas tank had overflowed and gas was spilling out all over the back corner of my car!! :o
-
WTF??
-
I, of course, immediately let go of the handle and stepped back as I put the hose back onto the pump.
-
I then went and told the attendant and he came out and sprayed my car with some liquid that he said would make the gas noncombustible.
-
I can only hope that he was right.
-
He sprayed all around the ground where the gas was, then I asked him to spray my car and where the (now closed) gas cap was so that that would be noncombustible, too.
-
I drove home and parked outside so that the fumes wouldn't accumulate in my garage.
-
I don't know if that would actually happen and be a problem, but I also wanted to leave my car out so that the rain could possibly help wash away any remaining gas.
-
Tomorrow, I'll take my car to the car wash and have it professionally washed so that there's no chance of any gas remaining on my car.
-
I've never had that happen!
-
I don't know how much more I paid for the overflowing gas that was left on the ground, above what it would've been if it had stopped properly.
-
The one good thing was because of my Fred Meyer Rewards points (and a special purchase that gave me a one-time special 10 times the normal gas points), I was able to get 45¢ off per gallon! :D
-
The regular price tonight was $4.199, but with the extra special discount, it was only 3.749 per gallon!
-
Gratuitous Post #200!! ;D
-
Tonight, we had 32 presold, but I think maybe five didn't show up. :-\
-
It's possible that they just forgot, or thought that their tickets were for another night.
-
If they show up with their e-mailed ticket confirmation, we'll (usually) just let them in and not worry about it being a different night.
-
We're pretty easy going about things like that.
-
Well, this is cool...the filmed stage version of The Phantom of the Opera is still on YouTube!
-
It was posted when everyone was posting videos of stuff during the early Covid shutdown.
-
Here's the link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nINQjT7Zr9w
-
It has since been released on DVD and Blu-ray, so it's available to purchase, but it's fun to see it without having to find my Blur-ray.
-
And now that we're so close...
