Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of a matinee and a talkback, and now it is time for you to post until the matinee cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: GRAVITATE!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I did not sleep well, mostly because of the aching joints, and I could not get comfortable. I had several strange dreams I no longer remember, although I remember fragments of another Drama Book Shop dream.
-
Annabelle did not eat this morning. I could not drasg her from her pillow on my bed.
-
Depending on the whims of Access-a-Ride, I may spend some time with Joshie today.
-
Monday morning greetings! Awake early again, but not panicky. Waiting for a call from the upholsterer who’s going to pick up our dining room chairs here and deliver them, recovered, to our new home after Thanksgiving.
-
After the chairs are picked up we’ll take the curtains I hope to use in the 2 bedrooms to the dry cleaner. Let’s hope they survive that process, seeing as they’re about 40 years old.
-
We may even be able to squeeze in a quick birthday lunch for Richard. By the time we get home, Rob may be here to attend the visitation and funeral for his Aunt Edna.
-
{{{HUGS}}} today for you and your family, DR Ginny.

Good morning, friends.

Thank you, DR Singdaw.

Glad the show and talkback went well.
-
And...

:)
-
Thank for Richard’s birthday wish and cake photo, DR Singdaw. His actual treat is a pumpkin pie.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Happy birthday, DH Richard!

I shall have to think a bit about Part B.
-
I am going to drop by OLLIE'S this morning. I have a 15% off a complete purchase coupon.
I want to get some razors & American Home candles.....and I shall also look at the books.
-
I have NOT gotten a page of coupons from Burger King for November, so I can't get my usual FAMILY BUNDLE......hopefully that will be corrected for December.
-
I like that suggestion for a new play - but I can imagine the chaos those rehearsals would be......
-
Today, just a bunch of things to get done here at the house.
Including schlepping all of my musical gear in from the car. Because...
Even if I wanted to wait on that, the car has to be emptied anyway in preparation for:
Its dropoff at the car place for an oil change and for checking the usual couple of things tomorrow.
Oy. <-- (Because one always thinks about the resulting bill.)
-
Happy Birthday to DH RICHARD.
Vibes for DR GINNY et al - lots of stuff happening.....
-
Congrats to BK on the matinee, the talkback, and the meeting up with auld acquaintances.

I wonder if DRs Ginny, Elmore, or John G. might know what this place was that both my sister and I are trying to remember:
Back in the 1980s (and I'm sure for many years before that) there was a large German beer hall jernt in Kentucky, kind of on the way to the Cincinnati airport. I can't find reference to it in Google but in looking at a map, the town of Erlanger rings a bell. There's one now called the Hofbrauhaus but it's in the wrong place and that wasn't the name anyway. I believe this place closed maybe in the early 2000s. Do any of y'all know what I'm thinking of?
-
Thank you, DRs John G, Vixmom, ChasSmith, and JRand for all your kind words.

DR ChasSmith, the only place like that I can think of was not in Kentucky but off I-74 on Cincinnati’s west side. It was called Forest View Gardens. Most of the wait staff were vocal students at CCM and took turns singing on stage.

Happy Monday!
Happy November 13th.
Where is this year going in SUCH a hurry??
-
Yea....slow down, 2023.
-
Three more bags of trash out of the closet.....mostly inherited Playbills.....BAJOUR!, etc. I kept anything that was autographed or of interest to me.....
-
I got a twelve pack of Gillette Sensor Razors, two 19 oz. American Home candles, a bag of mini Mall-o-bars, a Ped egg, and I saved $6.77!

That place sounds great and I wish I'd known it. I think I would have really enjoyed that.
I'm remembering this one as a large hall in Bavarian style with a stage up front. Those who wanted to be close to the singing or dancing action could sit closer to the front, and if you just wanted to eat you could hang more towards the rear. We were there only once, late 80s or early 90s.

It is indeed, DR George. :)

I am up from a nap.

Last day of vacation.

Only a few weeks of work to go, DR John G.!!!

I’m checked in for tomorrow.
Safe and easy travels home.

Days. I retire on Friday.
Wow. Are you returning to the office before then?
-
Three days.
-
My sister arrived home from Baltimore about an hour ago.
-
I do not care to read anything about Taylor and Travis.
-
Not a word.
-
Days. I retire on Friday.
Wait, what!?! Did I miss a big announcement?
-
Congratulations again, DR John G. For some reason I had thought it was the end of November.
-
This day is flying by like a gazelle doing Wham!'s Greatest Hits.
-
Days. I retire on Friday.
Wait, what!?! Did I miss a big announcement?
I’ve had enough. So I am retiring after almost 11years. Or 12.5 years depending on how you want to count it.
-
And I will take it easy for the rest of the year at least.

Good evening!

You are welcome.
-
I was pleased to reat that the Sunday matinees went well.
-
Four!
-
Time to pack.
-
I swore I would never buy a Sleep Number mattress again.
-
It has one thing I like about it, it is lightweight and easy on my shoulder when changing the sheets.
-
When multiple friends mentioned they got the mattress and are very pleased, I agreed to check it out.
-
The one we picked seemed better than our long ago old mattress and Keith liked it.
-
After a week he wanted to return it, and I agree, except you must try the mattress for a full month before you can request a return.
-
Now that it is a month he called to return it. After arguing with them for ten minutes that HE DOES NOT WANT TO KEEP IT, we have a pick up date of December 4th which is the earliest date we can get.
-
Fingers crossed we can get our new mattress delivered on the same day, or the day after.
-

Gratuitous post 100!

Thank you, DR Ron!
-
Lest I be remiss
Well, I wasn't going to say anything!
-
More posts are required.
-
But I am lacking in content.
-
And since counting and lyrics are frowned upon,
-
I am at a loss.
-
I suppose I could quote pithy proverbs.
-
Or witty wordplay.
-
Or knock-knock jokes.
-
Or poetry.
-
But in complete poems,
-
Not line by line.
-
Like a heathen.
-
It is already past my bedtime.
-
One more.
-
Welcome to PAGE FIVE.
-
I could post the colors I use in a work spreadsheet.
-
Here's green, for pay.
-
Here's red, for deny.
-
Here's orange, for pending.
-
Then, there's also bright lemon yellow and glowing turquoise, for various other purposes.
-
It makes kind of a pretty mosaic.
-
But other than that, Mrs. Lincoln...
-
I have never seen a square springform pan before!
-
I also just came across a recipe for dill pickle hummus.
-
Lucky #130

Good night, friends.

I haven't either. It probably can be very useful.
-
Oops, my mind is like jelly today. As I was about to post this morning, I got a call from Kay Cole and that was quite long, then I just zoned out for most of the day.
-
We got our first review from Steven Stanley, a fellow who gives a LOT of Wow reviews. We did not get a Wow review, but that's mostly because he didn't care for the show itself. I know he loves me as a director and he loved the cast and production, so that was nice. Here's a link: https://stagescenela.com/2023/11/70-girls-70-2/#more-65039

That may not have been a "Wow" review, but it definitely was a positive one. :D
-
Congrats to everyone involved!
-
I just drove through McDonald's and got their annual McRib meal with fries and a diet Coke.
-
Before my sister went vegetarian, that was her favorite thing to get at McDonald's.
-
I like them, but I'm not a rabid fan of them.
-
I may have another one before they go away again, or I may not.
-
And if I don't have another one before they go away again, that will be okay.
-
Page five???
-
Really?
-
Is everyone on vacation?
-
Yes or no?
-
Having some pasta with butter and cheese - trying to get the taste of my earlier food out of my mouth.
-
Never did watch a motion picture.
-
What else?
-
Had a nice telephonic conversation with dear reader Jeanne.
-
And?
-
Page six - at least.
-
Had a nice telephonic conversation with dear reader Jeanne.
Cool.
-
I almost forgot...when I checked my mail today, this arrived from Stage Door Records, all the way from England:
-
I don't think that this has been mentioned here yet, but:
Maryanne Trump Barry, Donald Trump's sister, dies at 86 (https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/maryanne-trump-barry-donald-trump-s-sister-dies-at-86/ar-AA1jR8xK?OCID=ansmsnnews11).
-
Just had to share.
-
And this is some good news:
Supreme Court adopts code of conduct amid ethics scrutiny (https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/supreme-court-adopts-code-of-conduct-amid-ethics-scrutiny/ar-AA1jRZz3)
-
It's about time. ::)
-
Page six. What IS going on here?
-
George could have posted up a storm, but barely whipped up a breeze.
-
Surely there are other things to post about.
-
And yet, here we are, stuck on lowly page six.
-
And not even halfway.
-
Most unseemly if you ask me.
-
What?
-
Did someone say something?
-
Is there an echo in here?
-
I don't know.
-
I just don't.
-
George is down some rabbit hole.
-
He did say something about reading Kritzer World but unless he got the eBook, not sure how that would happen.
-
Listening to music.
-
And I don't care who knows it.
-
I know it.
-
Whilst George posted a breeze, I am posting a storm.
-
Storm is, of course, morts spelled backwards.
-
George is down some rabbit hole.
Nope. I zonked out.
-
But you knew that.
-
Couldn't help it...it just happened.
-
There is no zonking out.
-
Not when were stuck in the muck of page six.
-
He did say something about reading Kritzer World but unless he got the eBook, not sure how that would happen.
Yes, I got the eBook from Amazon.
-
I do not care for page seven.
-
But at least we're on it.
-
Well, read it already.
-
I'm still re-reading Kritzer Time, so hopefully, not much longer.
-
I just plugged in my Kindle, so it'll be charged up again.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
I shall read them.
