And the word of the day is: BROBDINGNAGIAN!
When you serve corndogs fancy, for company.
Last day of work.
I'm trying to remain positive, but I'm very down at the moment. Between poor health, too little work and too little income, I'm too anxious and too frightened about getting through the rest of 2023. And tomorrow I could have a completely different outlook.
I, however, am still a cog in the wheel
I thought prescription co-pays were decided by the insurance companies. But the whole insurance world is so complicated! Perhaps pharmacies have a certain amount of discretion.
For some reason, I read DR George's post last night about Florida as the anti-drug law, not the anti-drag law.

I know my HHW friends will have this answer.
My brother turns 65 years old in March. He asked me to help him sign up for Medicare. I told him he could do that in January - three months before he turns 65.
I also said that I thought if he is already receiving Social Security, he will be signed up for regular Medicare automatically.
Nick & Nora the parakeets are more like the tv couple - Peter Lawford & Phyllis Kirk.
Their cage is basically the same, but their night time cover is now a piece of red velvet.

I had to register at that newspaper, but here's the text:
On Sunday, Nov. 19, the Bedford Playhouse will have a special screening of Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Man Who Knew Too Much,” completely restored by Universal Studios and well-known film preservationist Robert Harris of Bedford. Thanks to those efforts, the color and sound quality of the film will be equal to those of the original production. A Q&A with Mr. Harris and film critic Janet Maslin follows the film.
<SNIP>
Many of the old classics have been lost due to the deterioration problem, but, thanks largely to Mr. Harris and his restoration skills, “The Man Who Knew Too Much” is not one of them.
I had to shrink this some, so let's see if it's readable. Click to enlarge.
It's not a great scan or capture in the first place. (Don't blame me, I didn't do it.)
It's what I'll be enjoying on Sunday afternoon...
UPDATE: Don't try to read this! I got the article copied and pasted below.
I had to register at that newspaper, but here's the text:
My day is officially over. I received a summons for Grand Jury duty today, goddammit all to hell.
Got 19 items at the library today.
Nine DVDs and nine CDs plus one book.
I’m ushering tonight for the 50th anniversary tour of Jesus Christ Superstar.

Could be another Trump case.

Purr-fect! ;D
DR John was today your last day of work? It sounds as if you are already celebrating.
If you want to listen to Sondheim's Passion while following along with the vocal score, well: here's your link.

I didn't realize you were serious about the re-naming, DR Jrand73!

What became of theater organist Lyn Larsen who used to post here? Or was he just friends with a poster here, I forget.

In California once you reach 70 you are no longer required to serve. You still have to fill out the paperwork, which could be easier, and they still send you the summons, but they then leave you alone for a while. Does NY have a similar program?

Well, An Improbable Peck of Plays has about 30 in our audience tonight.
I hadn’t realized until later that it’s been more than 30 years since I had seen the show live. That was the production that confused JCS with Godspell and had Jesus carry balloons with him. It wasn’t as good as the other production I saw that year. In that one, Jesus was dressed like exercise Jane Fonda, including leggings, and the choreography was all out of an exercise video.
In both, Christ rose at the end, in direct opposition to the point of the show.
Great photos. Would love to see this.
Is it coming to the US?
But which cast???
