Well, you've read the notes, the notes were in their proper ratio, and now it is time for you to post until the proper cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: HALLMARK!
-
Here are the two discs of the new Spirited Away Blu-ray set:
-
BK, I was just about to ask what was the name of the other movie that you'd never watched on home video for the same reason as Pete ‘N’ Tillie, but then you finally mention the title in the last paragraph of your notes, but not in the paragraph where you actually talk about it. ;)
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept rather well, and I'm still surprised at that.
-
DR George, she looks like Margaret Thatcher!
-
I have no idea what I am up to today. Joshie has not responded to my phoe calls, and I hope he's not pissed that I missed our session on Thursday. I had hoped we could work today, but we clearly are not. I may drag out the DVD for Howards End, which I've never seen, and watch it with the cats. I have fallen in love with this number, and now I want to see Broadway Melody of 1936. June Knight played Karen O'Kane the year before in Jubilee and sang "Begin the Beguine" and "Just One of Those Things."
I had no idea Robert Taylor sang!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t29pGYd_X30
I cannot get enough of this song!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Great clip, Elmore. I don’t think I have ever seen that one before.
-
Apparently they had another number in the film: https://roberttayloractor.blog/tag/june-knight/
-
And according to imdb, that number won an Oscar for best dance direction
-
A.S. Byatt has died. I loved Possession, like Angels and Insects.

Saturday morning greetings! Just checking to let y’all know that we’re alive and well and keyholders for our new home. We signed a gazillion papers yesterday and wrote a couple of big checks. When we went to our cars to drive over for our first official look there was a rainbow overhead. I think that’s a good sign!
-
A woman has staged a revival of The Lieutenant in honor of her late father who was lead guitarist on the show. She mentioned an original cast recording of it. I didn’t know one had been made. Has anybody heard it?

I think that’s a great sign. Congratulations and may you enjoy your new life there.

Good morning, all.
-
Congratulations, and Welcome Home to DR Ginny and DH Richard!
-
I have never seen PETE 'N' TILLIE.
I have also never seen TOYS IN THE ATTIC.
Clearly, I'm depraved on account of I'm deprived.
-
I want pictures.
DR John G, there’s one picture on my Facebook page. If someone would like to post it here I’d be very grateful.
-
Thank you, DRs John G and ChasSmith! Overall we’re very pleased with the renovations. I’m not crazy about he ceiling fans they put in the study/library, but neither is Ashley (our move-in coordinator). She’s going to try to get them switched.
-
I actually remember wanting to see TOYS IN THE ATTIC as a kid, but to my knowledge and memory, it never happened.
And what BK describes has happened on other plays-to-films: the shortening, the adding of material, and yet the brilliance in casting or directing or photography, or hopefully all three.
So what you wind up with is two separate great works that you wish could have somehow been combined. Does that make any sense? I'm still on my first cup of coffee, and I'm already ready for
More coffee!
-
Here it is!
-
Thank you, DR ChasSmith! This is a “before” picture that I took in May. The only exterior differences are repairs to the driveway, sidewalk, and retaining wall. There’s also been some painting done, including the front door. It’s blue now, almost the same color as the house from which we’re moving.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Congratulations, DR Ginny, and may you both enjoy your new home in good health.
-
Thank you, DR Singdaw. We plan to - if the move doesn’t kill us.

Welcome to page TWO
-
DR singdaw thanks for your information about Medicare yesterday.
I will help my brother sign up in January.
-
That's a nice clip DR ELMORE.
Robert Taylor certainly had BLUE eyes - even in a b/w movie.
And that's a great number. I don't think I had ever seen it before either.
-
Such a lovely new home DR GINNY!
-
There is a meat loaf in the oven.
-
Maybe my new doorbell will arrive today.
-
Good morning!
-
Congrats on your new home, DR Ginny!
-
Wow! DR Ginny, nice house. Mo' photos, s'il vous plait.

I've never heard if it (not too surprising), but it's listed on CastAlbums.org (https://castalbums.org/):

I saw Pete n Tillie on cable back in the ‘80s. I mostly remember Rene Auberjonois.

Lovely house, Ginny!

Congratulations!

The problem with that Santa cheese plate is only two people get olives.

#4 Sometimes I take a little pumpkin pie with my whipped cream.

From DR George:
If you like puppets and puppetry, it's beautiful
The photos are beautiful.

A.S. Byatt has died. I loved Possession, like Angels and Insects.
I am not familiar with her work.

Good luck she gets them switched. Otherwise, this is excellent news.

Is that a light blue? I expect the door looks nicer with a bit of color.

I agree.

I am guessing Bruce would go with number 4.

My email inbox tells me that marketers currently know two things:

Not a fan, so not a problem...to me. ;)

Come sit next yo me, George, so I don’t have to share the olives.

Up from a nap.

I have yard work to do.

In this photo the door is dark red, giving the house a scarlet & gray Ohio State vibe. That was unacceptable.
-
Thank you, DR Singdaw. We plan to - if the move doesn’t kill us.
Are you ready for the move?
Not as ready as I’d like, but readier than when I got up this morning.
-
My pie/whipped cream choice is also Number 4.
-
My doorbell is still in transit......gloria.
-
Thank you DR JEANNE.
-
I love pumpkin pie so my choice is 2 or preferably 3.
-
I lay down to watch Howards End but I could not get the DVD to play loud enough to hear the damned thing. I'll watch it this week on the computer with headphones. Then Joshie called. He's coming here tomorrow. I volunteered to come to City Center and he said he was taking no chances I'd cancel.
-
So, I needed to tidy up and vacuum the cat hair, hairballs, and kibble all over the floor and put away the cats' toys. I fed the cats, and now I'm having salmon burgers with sliced tomato.
-
The problem with that Santa cheese plate is only two people get olives.

I need to look again since I saw a white door. I looked and see that the white is the storm door and the red is inside.

Ginny, did you have time to watch, or listen to, the Michigan game today?
-
Ginny, did you have time to watch, or listen to, the Michigan game today?
Yes, I’m kind of half watching as I pack up kitchenware. Just sat down to watch the end.
-
I checked the score as my brother is watching it-looks like a good game.
-
It’s more of a nail biter than I’d like…
-
Which is why I am waiting to see who wins before sending my brother an email :)
-
When this game is over, we’re going to pick up those curtains we took to the dry cleaner Monday and drop them (plus the stuff in my car) at the house. It will be our first time inside without an escort.
-
Back to Muppet Treasure Island. Tim Curry is a joy.
-
There was a bizarre Cabin Fever number with a drag queen Carmen Miranda. Well, why not.
-

That is exciting. Do you have someone to put the curtins up for you or can you do it?
-
Congrats to Michigan.
-
Come sit next yo me, George, so I don’t have to share the olives.

-
Nice Ginny house!
-
Back from a nice breakfast at the Coral Cafe.
-
The I completely re-staged and re-worked Do We start to finish and it's soooo much better now. More about that in the notes.
-
Started the live action Little Mermaid. Bailey is great, the direction is not so hot. Made it through Under the Sea.
-
Third load of laundry is in the dryer.
-
Onward!
-
Five!
-
Nice Ginny house!
Thanks, BK!

We didn’t get away soon enough to make it to the cleaners, but we went to the house to move in some very fragile items that I wanted to get out of harm’s way before Monday’s chaos. We met a couple of neighbors and I got to putter a bit in the kitchen putting liner in the drawers.
As for the curtains, I’d hoped to use tension rods (which I already have), but I’m not sure the window frames are deep enough. We may end up buying new hardware and, yes, the maintenance crew will install it. They’ll hang anything but a TV.

Take all of the olives!

You accomplished a lot today, even if you didn't pick up the curtins. I like that there is a maintenace crew that will install everything for you, well except for the tv. There are experts for that ;)

:)
Well 4 obviously

Everything is so LOUD

Everything is so LOUD
Does this mean you are wearing hearing aids?
-
I can understand dialogue on the television without the close captioning
I still need the sound coming through my phone and into my hearing aids.
-
If sound is too loud, turn them down while you adjust to them.
-
We watched the first two episodes of Annika and the second episode of Julia.
-
We also took a nap. :)
-
So all in all, a very productive day. 8)
-
Oh, and laundry.
-
And got some key work done on a project for my boss.
-
I'll be working overtime over the next few weeks daily, and full days over several upcoming Saturdays.
-
Not the one the weekend after Thanksgiving, happily.
-
PAMPLEMOUSSE!
-
:)
-
I had a very productive, yet physical day, day at home.
-
I've been reading and resting my shoulder, now back to finish cleaning the oven.
-
That didn't take long. It was the easy part at the end.
-
'night
-
I wonder what music would be best to clean an oven by.

-
We have 41 pre-sold for tonight!
-
That's that most we've had, so far. :)
-
However, five people didn't show up, but we got their money. ;)
-
And so far, it's going well.
-
Back from dancing. Fun night.
-
Back to The Little Mermaid.
-
I kind of like Melissa McCarthy as Ursula.
-
I enjoyed the second half of Mermaid more than the first. But it’s not a very well made movie. The special effects got in the way too much.
-
Started My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3. Loving the scenery and spending time with these people.
-
But I am tired.
-
Good night, all.
-
I just got home.
-
We had a good show.
-
The only goober was that the stage manager forgot to re-set the stage for act two during intermission, so he had to do it just as the intermission ended.
-
Fortunately, it was just a matter of moving stage boxes, so it only took about a minute.
-
In the audience were some friends and friends of the performers, so they were a good crowd.
-
Now, all we have left is tomorrow's matinee, then it's done!
-
Finished with my viewing.
-
Now let's get off this damn page.
-
Well...
-
...it...
-
...is...
-

-
PAGE SEVEN!!
-
I do not care for page seven.
-
And page seven does not care for me.
-
And yet, here we are on page seven.
-
Damn them, damn them all the HELL.
-
But I must shower and get to bed so...
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
