I just lost it on the phone with HRA. I cannot get a real person on the phone to answer my inquiries about Medicaid, I cannot get a confirmation about their receiving my faxed documents, and I can goddamned sick of beaurocratic incompetence.
WISHING HAPPIEST OF HAPPY BIRTHDAY GREETINGS to DR KevinH!!!!!!!!
Happy Birthday to our DR Kevin H!
Happy Birthday DR KEVINH.
Happy birthday, KevinH! Hope it’s a wonderful day.

Found your record and as you're over 75, have entered a permanent excusal. All taken care of. You can stay home with your cats.
First good news today!
I've been looking around for a simple leadsheet for "Stille Nacht" - and I find it funny running across piano solos that are called "Stille Nacht" - one wonders if they sound the same as "SIlent Night".... Hmmm....

DR George, I didn't know they made LED lightbulbs like that. I hope you are very pleased with them.

Lemon pie filling succes - no scrambled eggs!
Dang! I hope the truck is OK and the bridge will remain intact after the removal! It's very cute

Throughout New York state, we saw signs telling truck drivers to be aware of how high (or low) the overpasses are. Guess they’re needed everywhere.
Speedy healing vibes for DR Jeanne.
Continued moving, unpacking, getting settled, and no-backaches vibes to DRGinny and DH Richard.

Was the bakery crowded or were you too drained after the dental work? Congrats on being done.
In my experience it is rather difficult to avoid back pain when moving, or feet pain from being on your feet too long.
As you approach it doesn't look at all like a freeway entrance, plus after going under the old stone bridge it curves to the right making it a bit difficult to know for sure where you are going the first time you drive it.

As we passed that entrance on our way home from the gym today we saw a BIG truck stuck under the bridge. As we passed the street from the entrance side we turned to see what it looked like down there. (There is a business parking lot we could go through without getting in the way). Lots of police cars and a big mess.
I wish we could have taken a photo.
To paraphrase Bette Midler, I never miss a George C. Scott musical.
Today was Dental Visit #4 from last month’s dental emergency. The new crowns and onlay have been installed and I am done! Poorer, too. Very glad it’s over. It was more involved than I expected, but it’s done.
I didn’t even stop at the bakery afterwards, but I did stop at Dollar-and-a-Quarter Tree, which was quite crowded. Best to avoid it just before Thanksgiving and Christmas, but I have two very slow drains. Why pay $6 when you can pay $1.25? (For Liquid Plumber)

I doubt that it was crowded. I was just worn out.

That's a cute bridge/underpass, Jane.

Yikes :o Hopefully, trucks getting stuck doesn't happen very often!
And now, my mom wants me to come over and help her with her computer. Her cat Henry sat on her keyboard, and now the screen has turned sideways! :o

Well, the display is now displaying sideways, the actual screen has not turned sideways.

I did but then added another post.
Tuesday evening greetings! We survived Moving Day #2 and are now surrounded by boxes. The crew also helped us drag a lot of junk out of the basement. One wanted the old pinball machine that we’d inherited from previous owners and another took a pile of scrap wood that had lived under the package wrapping table.
Here in almost Canada, the mother in law has been having high blood pressure issues so we had ambulance pick her up from her care home and take her to the hospital. They seemed to get it under control, so I drove to real Canada to pick her up and take her back home. Crisis averted for now.

HAPPY MOVE SURVIVAL CELEBRATION for DR Ginny and DH Richard!!!!!

DR John, which is better, La Fonda On Main or Iron Cactus? Cousins posted on FB that they were going to eat at Iron Cactus, the best restaurant in San Antonio.
I’m enjoying listening to the 1976 West End Musical “Mardi Gras” here.

That's a relief.
On This Day in 1941, Tweety Bird made his screen debut in a Warner Brothers Merrie Melodies cartoon, "A Tale of Two Kitties." Bob Clampett is the animator who created the character.

Gail and I took a walk around the complex we were in. We stopped for a drink, and while we were there, I got word that Burt had died. His family was with him.
