Well, you've read the notes, the notes raved about a rave review, and now it is time for you to post until the rave-reviewed cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: TERPSICHOREAN!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
BK, congratulations on your lofty new perch in the HHW firmament!!!
-
Also, ~~~DMV STUDYING VIBES~~~ for BK!!!!!!
-
How long it has been since I've had to think about studying for a test...
-
Good morning, all!
-
I'm so mad I could spit!
I set the alarm for 5:40 because I like to accomplish all the housework before Access-a-Ride arrives. Well, for the maybe third time in three years my damned cell phone's volume dropped to 0 and I never heard the alarm. When I checked the time it was 6:45. Then, because I was in a tizzy, I kept dropping things, and it took me forever to dress. Damn!
-
Today is a City Center day, and I'm looking forward to it.
-
I saw the review on Facebook last night. That is one rave! Congratulations, BK,
-
Congratulations on the great review BK!
-
Congratulations on your new plateau as well
-
I have to go to work after 4 days off….
-
Thinking that John G has the right idea

-
Good morning, all.
-
What a fantastic review! Congrats to BK and the whole troupe. You surely deserve getting these after what you've gone through to make it happen.
-
Great pictures, too. Richard looks absolutely delighted there. What a fine day!
-
I love that picture of Carol Weiss, whose name was familiar but I looked her up to be sure of what she's done.
Wow. Now I really want to hear some of this.
Oh, nonsense. I want to see and hear all of it.
-
Lovely pictures in the notes!
Congrats to MR BK on his new millstone.
-
DR ELMORE it must be catching, everything I have picked up this morning I dropped.....spills abound.....
-
My friend Jerry is coming by at 11 a.m. and I am taking him to lunch for his birthday.
He likes a particular restaurant here in town so O'Charley's it is!
-
I have one more page of names/dates to write down and so this afternoon, I will start on my new writing project.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Congratulations on your new plateau, BK.
-
I’m awake but not quite stirring.
-
Had weird dreams about being trapped by an armed street fight in Catskill it was also after a flood and somehow involved a wheelchair that kept getting submerged in the flood waters that covered the streets but not the sidewalks.
-
Onward

Hope to finish How to Say Babylon today. It’s a memoir from a poet who grew up in a strict but hypocritical Rastafarian family. Think of it as a Rasta version of Educated.
-
Just say no.

Hope all is going well for DR Ron.
-
From Bruce:
George, of course, wasn't here to commemorate it.
Knowing it was about to happen he did ask someone else to take a photo :)
-
I'm up, I'm up - five hours of sleep.
-
Bruce, congratulations on your new plateau.
-
Don't know why.
-
Hope all is going well for DR Ron.
Ditto!
-
Some heartburn, but I have no idea why, since I did not eat a single spicy thing yesterday.
-
Hope all is going well for DR Ron.

I don't know, DR John G. That frosty slaw looks pretty festive. 8)

I know! I wish they could video or audio record it!
-
DR Jrand73, I hope your day has improved. Mine did as soon as I stepped out onto the street. I had a wonderful time with Joshie today, and the two Access-a-Ride drivers were excellent.
-
Congrats on the review, BK
-
So glad you had a good day so far, DR elmore3003.
-
:)
-
Yesterday was tech for White Christmas. I guess it was fine, but I'm just an actor here....
Tech week commences this week. So does school. And that's all I'm saying about THAT!
-
DR Jrand73, I hope your day has improved. Mine did as soon as I stepped out onto the street. I had a wonderful time with Joshie today, and the two Access-a-Ride drivers were excellent.
Great news!
-
Here’s to a great run, Matthew.
-
Do you open Friday, DR Matthew?
-
Holy smokes! I am home from a lengthy colonoscopy procedure. While I reported at 9:45 a.m., I wasn't taken in until nearly 11 a.m.
Procedure took nearly an hour because the doctor found and removed 16 polyps. SIXTEEN. None cancerous, thank goodness.
He wants me to have another procedure in a year.
Yikes, but I think it's probably for the best.
My cousin Debra was very good about staying with me and taking me to Mickey D's for a hamburger pill after the procedure. I bought our lunch, gave her gas money, and I have bid her adieu until my next medical appointment requiring a companion, whenever that may be.
I had a very good rest under anesthesia. Nurse said I slept for more than a half hour afterward. The anesthetist said I should have come around in 3-5 minutes, but he guessed I needed a nap.
Since I had been up and down all night long, he was right.
Enough talk about all that!
-
TOD:
I was very partial to Huntley-Brinkley when they were a team.
Walter Cronkite was the standard bearer, and I was smitten by Jessica Savitch.
Today, the gold standard is Rachel Maddow (although she drives me crazy getting to a point), followed by Willie Geist and Chris Hayes.
-
Good news from DR RON PULLIAM.
When I wake up from my twilight sleep - I always just look at the staff standing around and say:
"....and you were there.....and you were there.....and your were there.....but all I kept saying is 'I want to go home!'"
-
Yes DR ELMORE thank you - my day did improve as did yours.
EXCEPT we got to O'Charley's and there was a sign on the door that said "CLOSED - PERMANENTLY"
So we went to Agave's Mexican restaurant and I had a very good chimichonga......
-
I had already gotten the mail, but a few minutes ago the mailman passed by window again and I heard the mailbox slam shut.
I looked out and his truck was parked in the neighbors' driveway.
After a few moments I went to check and the mailbox was EMPTY!!
It was ghastly. It was just ghastly.
-
Good one, DR Jrand73. I am sure that hilarity ensues.
-
Glad you made it through, DR Ron Pulliam.
-
Although I'm still scratching my head over what a hamburger pill is.
-
But getting to eat afterward is the best part.
-
PAGINA TRES.
-
I like Walter Cronkite.....and Harry Reasoner, to an extent.
My favorite lady correspondent is Cokie Roberts.
Somehow I just don't trust news commentators anymore.....they all seem so self-absorbed and trying to tell what we should think about the news - instead of just GIVING us the news.....especially Norah O'Donal and David Muir.
Don't get me started on the cable news channels.
-
There will never ever be another you.
-
The Huntley-Brinkley Report used to follow the 15 minute local news on WFBM Channel Six.
The newscasters always credit Frances Farmer with giving them a BIG ratings lead from her show that came on just before theirs.
AND Miss Frances dated Chet Huntley briefly when they were both at the University of Washington.
-
Brief hilarity DR singdaw......and no heavy mitts.
-
;D
-
I had a message to call a 526 area code number. It's a company called Landauer Medstar. They said they had a walker for me. WHAT?
I asked who had ordered it, and they said "Susanna," which is the name of my GP, so I sent her a message askng if she was behind this. I certainly ordered nothing.
-
I grew up with Huntley-Brinkley, and I always trusted Walter Cronkite. Now, I like Ari Melber, Joy Reid, and Rachel Maddow on MSNBC.
-
Good to be cautious about that, DR elmore3003. Scams abound.

Oh my goodness, sixteen polyps! Was this your first colonoscopy? Vibes the biopsies confirm they are all benign, though I am sure the doctor can tell by looking at them.
HEALING VIBES!

Back to Desert Fury. It’s quite competent, except for John Hodiak, who’s a big zero.

Although I'm still scratching my head over what a hamburger pill is.
A prescription hamburger.
I hope cheese and onions were involved.

Some heartburn, but I have no idea why, since I did not eat a single spicy thing yesterday.
It's not always spicy things. There have been a few times (fortunately only a few) when I've gotten a little heatburn-like feeling after just drinking water! That's only happened late at night, but why would it happen at all??

That's happened to me at least three times now! Quite a few years ago a local Blimpie Subs just closed. Then just a few years ago, two different Taco Del Mar restaurants closed within a couple of months of each other. And they were franchises that were owned by different people.
-
I found out that there's still a Taco Del Mar about 20 minutes south of here, so I'm happy about that. The nearest Blimpie is over 100 miles away in Sequim (pronounced "squim"), Washington.

I know someone who insisted drinking lots of water was the cure for reflux. Not for me as I too can get it from drinking water.
-
Bruce congratulations on your sold-out matinee and great audience.
-
Nice photos in the notes today.
-
Well...
-
Gratuitous Post #100!!
-
Chanukah is way too early this year.
-
I can't seem to find a fun Chanukah card for Freyja, very frustrating.
-
I have written almost 7 pages. It is fun and I am liking the direction it is going.
We shall see what can get done this week.
I know I will not have the stamina of MR BK - but it's a start.

When I wake up from my twilight sleep - I always just look at the staff standing around and say:

I think at least one of them "got it".
My first words were "Make a wish, take a breath, count to three..." They thought I was still out of my head.

Probably a scam, we keep getting calls that our medical alert pendant is ready to be shipped …we hang up

Not in many, many years.
When Hepburn and Finney are traveling, they stay over at a hotel but don't eat there because they can't afford it. He goes out and brings back a bag of food. Hepburn rhapsodizes over it and says, "Hamburger pills". Turns out, their meals were included in the price of the room!

Good night, friends.

I have been out of it most of the day. They certainly gave me something to put me out. One of the things I was told was to not nap unless I used my CPAP.
I got on my bed with my CPAP around 3 or so and could not sleep. So, I turned on TV and sat in my recliner. Oops. Snoozed for more than two hours.
Still, I am now sleepy again...still a bit woozy from the meds.
Nighty night.
-
Maybe I'll use that quote next time DR RON PULLIAM.
-
Back from a party to watch the rise of the full moon. Sadly it was overcast.
-
So, we went to a great Italian joint.
-
I had rigatoni with a pink sauce. Most wonderful. Couldn’t eat half.
-
Now watching a journalism flick called -30-. Jack Webb stars, produced and directed.
-
It’s fun. It has William Conrad, Richard Deacon, the guy who played Floyd the Barber, David Nelson and some other great character actors.
-
For those who don’t know, -30- was used at the end of news copy to show that a story was finished.
-
And everyone smokes.

Hello! The opposite of John G, I started my new job today. Everyone was nice in the welcoming editorial meeting. Should be good.
-
That Rave Review did not disappoint! Wish I could go see the show!
-
On the way home tonight, I had to slam on the brakes as a young deer darted across the road. Its father had passed right in front of him. Scary.
-
I had reached out to my step mom for her birthday a few days ago. Now, I never called her “step mom” in my life. She married my dad at a time I didn’t see him much and they lived in the middle of nowhere, but I know she took good care of him when he had fully immersed into the mental prison of Alzheimer’s until his death. Anyway, I phoned her and the number was disconnected. Hmm. So I wrote her via Facebook. Didn’t have a response. Then today, one of my aunts, also unable to reach her, combed through some Facebook posts and saw my dad’s wife had died back on Nov. 7. She was a good lady.

So, did anyone watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade?
-
Either on NBC or CBS?
-
I no longer have cable TV (by choice), so I didn't get to watch or even record them.
-
However, I do have <ahem> access to a source of each broadcast.
-
;)
-
They're not, however, of the same broadcast quality.
-
The CBS feed is 640x480 and 2.02 GB for the whole three hours.
-
I don't know the exact dimensions of the NBC feed yet (it's still downloading), but it'll end up being 18, count 'em, EIGHTEEN GB for their 3 1/2 hour broadcast!
-
Either way, I'll be able to watch all of each networks' broadcasts.
-
Actually, I cancelled the NBC 18 GB download.
-
It's just WAY too big and will take much too long.
-
The source also has a 1.16 GB version.
-
That took almost no time at all to download.
-
The dimensions of that version are 845x480, which is an unusual ratio, but it's similar to the CBS broadcast.
-
Either way, I pretty much just want to watch them, so these will be good enough for me.
-
Page six.
-
Page SIX.
-
Why?
-
Where in tarnation are the postings?
-
What's next? Page five?
-
Glad to hear Jrand is writing - nothing like it, really.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
And they are quite long.
-
Quite.
-
I do not care for page seven.
-
And yet, just like last night, George is stuffing his face with free tacos or down some damn rabbit hole, or sitting in his chair sleeping, or talking to a long lost friend.
-
Whatever it is, I'm against it. And he WILL be held accountable.
