Well, you've read the notes, the notes told the tale of the happy Happy Birthday, and now it is time for you to post until the happy, happy cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: IMPECCABLE!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
I am working today.
-
I wish I had a cupcake.
-
Glad you had a good day, BK.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I turned off the lights at 9:00 and fell asleep sometime after midnight. I guess I got at most six and a half hours of sleep.
-
Lucky for me, Ann and Jen are around this weekend in case I need anything.
-
The ball of my right foot is very tender and it's painful to put pressure on it.
-
Last night we watched an Amazon Prime movie, The Burial, with Tommy Lee Jones and Jamie Foxx. I liked it very much.
-
The ball of my right foot is very tender and it's painful to put pressure on it.
Pain-in-the-foot-go-away vibes for Larry!
-
BK - Great to hear that your birthday was so happy, and hope that extends to a happy birthday weekend!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Good to know about May December. I’m a big Julianne Moore fan. The Washington Post pan of it was actually pretty funny.
-
Busy day ahead. Must get stirring.
-
Dance lessons, feeding barbecue to the homeless (an annual Christmas tradition through a friend’s church) and then a dance party.
-
I have seen only a few new movies, but I enjoyed:
Little Richard: I Am Everything
Oppenheimer
John Wick 4
Asteroid City
Juniper
The Lost King
Moving On
-
Weird dream. I was assisting Barbra on a dream project of hers. She’d been greenlighted for what she wanted, but she was unhappy because another actress-director also got approved and was doing better than she was, so she was losing interest.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I had one dream in the middle of the night that’s totally forgotten as of now, and another early in the morning that I remember fine but it made no sense and isn’t worth trying to relate.
-
Spelling Bee last night was ….. long. And only adequate. Barely. The idiots put in a real intermission which killed the momentum and stretched the affair out interminably.
A few of the characters were well realized, and “The I Love You Song” was exquisitely sung by one of the leading young singing actresses in the area. That was the one highlight of the show.
Using musical tracks also deadened the thing, partly because this theeder doesn’t know how to try to make them sound reasonably good.
They always do a fine op’nin’ night spread there, and I stuffed too many things into my pie hole which probably contributed to my ridiculous sleep. Anyhoo, I did the right thing by seeing the couple of friends I needed to see, but it’s over and that is that.
-
Glad to hear BK’s birthday is proceeding splendidly.
-
Very much looking forward to seeing May December. I could be wrong, but I don’t think it’s playing around here. But I think I’d be just as happy streaming it if necessary.
-
TOD:
OPPENHEIMER
BARBIE
ASTEROID CITY
There may be more, I shall have to think.
-
That was a nice video DR ELMORE.
I have read the play and Act One Ending sort of reminds me of the ending of the movie Longtime Companion......I had the same tearful reaction to that.....
-
If my friend Bryan was still alive, I am sure he would have produced/directed The Inheritance in Indy by now - if possible......
-
Well I have been struck down....I know it's not Covid....and I had my flu shot.....so I don't know.
It started last night with a fever & chills.....and the assorted maladies.
I shall probably just do some sleeping today. I want to try to begin Kritzer World.....we shall see.
-
Notes champed. Chomped.
-
Healthy vibes dear Jack! May it be a swift recovery.
-
Time for some feel better vibes for DR Jrand73!
-
Feel better, Jack.
Larry, I hope your foot ball improves steadily.
-
I ventured out of the house this morning and went to Third Generation (local restaurant) for breakfast. Very nice it was, too. Grits, bacon, fried eggs and coffee. The simple things.
Sigh.
-
Hope you feel better quickly, Jrand!
-
DR Iris thank you for sharing BarbraStreisand's comments on Ryan O’Neal.
-
From DR John"
They made the movie after their relationship ended. He didn’t get screwball comedy any more than Barbra did. Peter Bogdanovich had to act out their parts often for both, as you can see in the extras. She loved everyone on the picture but she didn’t get it while they were making it.
This is funny. Maybe the fact they didn't get it added that something special to their performances.
-
I expected the Daughter's Deli to be small but a bit nicer than a hole in the wall. I never enjoyed eating inside of Label's Table on Pico, but I sure liked getting food to go.
-
Good to see Iris in these parts!
-
I see kids movies, mainly, and none of them were what I’d call good.
I’d say the best I saw was an animated feature called Mummies, which was objectively bad, with a rote villain and simple plot, but I loved the two main characters. And there was a funny scene where they infiltrate the West End production of Aida and cause mayhem. The movie was barely released in the states.
-
After reading the comments about May December I watched the trailer. It looks like an excellent film with a talented cast, and an interesting twist to the romance. Still, I doubt I will rush to see it.
-
Bruce, what flavor cupcake did you have?
-
I have seen only a few new movies, but I enjoyed:
Little Richard: I Am Everything
Oppenheimer
John Wick 4
Asteroid City
Juniper
The Lost King
Moving On
Is Moving On the 2022 film with Fonda & Tomlin?

Yes. Richard Rountree’s last. I loved the performances and some of small details in that, such as Lily and the small boy.
-
Vibes for JRand.
-
I thought JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 4 was very good, and a good ending to the series.

I think we should watch this one.
-
Films of 2023 I liked:
THE HOLDOVERS
-
DR John, I am a bit confused about JUNIPER. Is it the film with Charlotte Rampling or Madison Lawlor?
-
While not a great movie, I did enjoy GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3.
-
I also enjoyed the Amazon movie, THE BURIAL.
-
I'm trying to remember what new movies I saw this year, and the only recent ones have been:
Oppenheimer
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny
The Holdovers
and I'm totally blank otherwise. I know I've been to theeders off and on, but it's been for classics at the Bedford or Fathom musicals or whatnot. Just plain old new movies, I dunno. There have to have been a couple more...

FEEL BETTER VIBES FOR DR JRAND!

I like reading about the movies you see since I am missing going to movies with the grandkid.

Charlotte Rampling
-
Ann came down to visit with me for about an hour. She and Jen have company in this weeked to Christmas shop. She borrowed my copy of The Inheritance and told me she thought I would enjoy Demon Copperhead. She also brought me a cinnamon French toast bagel, very spicy and very sweet.
-
Thanks John. It is a bit confusing as IMDB shows this JUNIPER was released in 2021, while the other one in 2022. I found this Juniper on a list of best films in 2023.
-
Good aftrnoon!
-
Feel better vibes for DR Jrand73!

It's great that you have such wonderful neighbors, DR elmore
-
It sure is, as is the fact that DR Elmore can leave the door unlocked during the day.

~~~HEALTH IMPROVEMENT VIBES~~~ for DR elmore3003 and DR Jrand73!!!!!!!
-
It is snowing here. So far lightly and prettily. But will it stay that way? I ask you.
-
Question for the class: Do you know the TV series Parks and Recreation?
I didn't. It ran from 2009 to 2015, but I just learned of it and started watching it a couple of weeks ago. As it takes place in the fictional town of Pawnee, Indiana, I first thought of asking DR Jrand73. But since it was heretofore completely unknown to me, I was curious who else knew it.
-
I like to think of Pawnee being just a county or so over from Popcorn.
-
I'm up, I'm up - nine and a half hours of sleep - up at noon and just trying to catch up on stuff.
-
Hope Jrand begins Kritzer World - better than a flu shot.
-
Jane, chocolate cake, pink frosting.
-
The critics these days are just plain wacko. Many of the great reviews I read of May December call it "hilarious" and call it "satire". It is neither. I hope both ladies are up for awards for this.
-
So, the choice is go to Gelson's and make pasta here or order something in. Decisions, decisions.
-
The cost will be the same.
-
Aha! Thanks for the patented HHW vibes. I did begin to feel better.
I have finished PART ONE of KRITZER WORLD and I love it!
Perhaps I will finish it tomorrow.
-
LOL Yes, DR CHAS SMITH - as an Indiana State Employee at various agencies for almost twenty years, I enjoyed PARKS & RECREATION because it was cannily accurate in its portrayals of the folks that I worked with.
-
They did some location filming now and then, but my schedule never worked out so I could be a part of it.
I always imagined Pawnee to be Putnam County where my home theeder is.
-
Parks & Rec is a show I know. I didn’t see every episode. Kind of a go-to show for airplane binge-watching; A fun cast, well-deployed.
-
JRand is better and the world is a better place.
-
Except for the mini-blizzard that hit while I took my son to his climbing gym. Nothing in the forecast suggested it.
-
The ball of my right foot is very tender and it's painful to put pressure on it.
Pain-in-the-foot-go-away vibes for Larry!
~~~Ditto!!~~~

We watched it. At first we weren't sure about it, skipped a few episodes and then were hooked.

Jane, chocolate cake, pink frosting.
Sounds good, and pretty.

The trailer did not look hilarious or as if it is a satire.

I am glad you are feeling better, and hope tomorrow you are greatly improved. You can still get the flu if you have been vaccinated. Did you receive the senior quad vaccine?
-
LOL Yes, DR CHAS SMITH - as an Indiana State Employee at various agencies for almost twenty years, I enjoyed PARKS & RECREATION because it was cannily accurate in its portrayals of the folks that I worked with.
I had no idea the quirks of the people were based on real people ;D

Fun. Is the climbing gym local or do you have to go to Canada for it?

You must have seen other movies, just nothing worth mentioning ;)
-
I am finishing up my 4th load of laundry.
-
In-between the 3rd & 4th loads we went to what we thought was only going to be a piano recital to watch our little 9 year old friend. We didn't realize she is taking voice as well as piano. First she sang a song and then played something short on the piano.
-
A few other students also played and sang. Plus the school teaches other instruments giving a bit of variety to the recital. They are all fairly news students so no great talent here, just cute scared kids.
-
What surprised us, and we could have done without, was the owne of the school, who also teaches piano & voice, performed for us. She also talked a lot. Obviously she is enthusiastic about what she does but really, we thought that was a bit strange.

Unfortunately there are only three kittens to begin page four.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Feel better soon, Jrand!
Have you ever tried Sambucol, which bk and I swear by? Very effective for colds, flu, and sinus. The dissolvable form (let it dissolve in your mouth, no water) seems to be the most effective. It’s in a blister pack, so easy to put in your pocket. Very convenient.
But feel better in any case.
-
Continued health vibes to Elmore.
-
Jane, Similasan eye drops are one of several I use. They’re the best if my eyes are irritated, if they’re just dry any of them will do. Mine are on an Amazon auto-ship. Last month they told me they were unavailable, but I have a couple bottles here. I, too, am disappointed that they are out of production. I’m glad we have an FDA, but I sometimes feel they are misguided. Apparently, Similasan took action voluntarily and I still trust the product.
-
$3.09
Is that page 3, given inflation?
-

Do you and your kids like Paddington? I adore Paddington. I learned there will be a third movie, taking place in Peru, but it isn’t scheduled for release until Jan 2025. Sigh.

Dance lessons, feeding barbecue to the homeless (an annual Christmas tradition through a friend’s church) and then a dance party.
How did you ever have time to work?
-
TTFN.
-
:)
-
How come I never get the chairs?
-
Big day tomorrow. Singing Messiah in the morning. Attending a concert in the afternoon.
-
There will hardly be time for a nap.
-
And I really should be making like DR Jane with the laundry loads.
-
Good night, friends.

Keith opened my last bottle. When he went to reorder them he found they were gone. I've been checking the recall lists on drops and knew they weren't on it. I suppose they simply don't want to get into a legal battle. These are the only ones that give me comfort at night, and they are good before putting my contacts in or taking them out.
-
DR Jeanne if you find a good alternative, please let me know.

'night

Break a leg at your performance!

Page four??? Really???
-
Deciding on another movie to watch. I enjoyed the one I just watched.

It was a huge hit for a while. Made stars of several of its players, like Nick Offerman. I saw a couple of episodes. I always liked Amy Pohler.

Nice. I love that music.

Dance lessons, feeding barbecue to the homeless (an annual Christmas tradition through a friend’s church) and then a dance party.
How did you ever have time to work?
It wasn’t a priority.
-
Hope Jrand begins Kritzer World - better than a flu shot.
Now that’s marketing brilliance.
-
George, you saw a Buster Keaton movie.
-
Page five is approaching.
-
Page four is waning.
-
Page six is future.
-
Five!
-
I somehow managed to survive the day.
-
My feet are tired.
-
Had a great time serving up barbecue.
-
We offered up smoked turkey and sausage, mac and cheese, and fresh green beans with tomatoes. Plus, handmade snickerdoodles.
-
The clients at the center were appreciative. Some came back for seconds. Others stopped back to say thanks.
-
That is one of my favorite events of the year.
-
Dancing tonight went well.

You're right. My friend Margo and I saw Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One. ::)
-
She's seen all the previous movies, but I haven't...and don't really need to.
-
Danced a hustle routine with my friend Shiela to I Will Survive that had the crowd clapping along. Such a great song.
-
Danced a bolero with my teacher, Joy, that we’ve been working on.
-
:)
(http://www.haineshisway.com/smf/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=7440.0;attach=19934)
;D
-
Also danced a polka routine with my friend Barbie.
-
How come I never get the chairs?
(http://www.haineshisway.com/smf/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=7440.0;attach=19938)
That's funny! :))
-
I have to be up all too early in the morning.
-
Good night, all.

Chris Pratt also started on that and now he's Star Lord in the Marvel Universe! ;)
-
Good night, all.
Good night, John.
-
George, you saw a Buster Keaton movie.
Yes, that's true. Thanks for the reminder! I guess I was only thinking of new movies in 2023.
-
I somehow managed to survive the day.
That's always a good thing!
-
We offered up smoked turkey and sausage, mac and cheese, and fresh green beans with tomatoes. Plus, handmade snickerdoodles.
Mmm...snickerdoodles. :D
-
Danced a hustle routine with my friend Shiela to I Will Survive that had the crowd clapping along. Such a great song.
It definitely is, even for as long as it's been around.
-
I have to be up all too early in the morning.
AARRGGHH!! So do I! I'm picking up Margo's middle daughter from the airport.
-
She's coming back from a vacation in Japan.
-
Last year (or was it two years ago), she (Margo's daughter) studied for a whole year in Japan.
-
Fortunately, she's fluent in the language, even though she is Chinese.
-
I hate getting up early on weekends.
-
But if I volunteer to do so, I must.
-
So, I have two alarms set AND Margo is going to call...just to make sure I get up. ;)
-
PAGE SIX DANCE!!
-
Just now, I had to reset the password to my main e-mail address. :P
-
This is the third one in just a couple of weeks where I had to change the password.
-
I don't ever remember having to change my e-mail address passwords.
-
Damn hackers! >:(
-
Now, I have to sign in to that e-mail address on all my devices so that the password managers can be updated.
-
I don't have my devices synch with each other, so I have update them manually.
-
George removed himself an hour and a half ago and never came back. This seems to be a recurring theme, George-wise.
-
Of course, he WILL be held accountable.
-
He doesn't even explain himself anymore.
-
And he WILL be held accountable for THAT, too.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
Not necessarily in that order.
