I forgot to add to my to-do list this week: clean and mop the bathroom and get haircut.
I see DR John G. is going to leave us hanging in suspense before he posts the final five times before his NEW MILLSTONE.
My mattress work has been over for several years.
Milestone!
Of course, I may adjust my list of favorite people, but that's fine.
The wind chill here right now is 4 degrees.
I cannot wait until I have the use of my couch back so I can sit there like so much fish.

Monday morning greetings! Richard and I finished our work at the old house yesterday. Everything is out except for trash in the garage that needs to be hauled away.

WHAT A MORNING.
HOLY MOLY.
This rather record-breaking rain and wind storm moved in during the night, and by the time I got my ASS out of bed at 6:00 am, it had grown to full strength. At 7:30 I started my drive to Norwalk, and the rain and wind were...something else.
Milestone!
Congrats to DR GINNY!
our own Eva Braun!

And here it is! :D
I had built in about 40 minutes extra to get to my destination, allowing for shitty weather conditions and probably extra-heavy rush hour traffic resulting from it. Well, no one could be more amazed than I was to arrive at only five minutes later than what my normal driving time would have been. And that's with slow traffic due to a tree in the road in (count 'em) two places. Unbelievable.
So then, with naught but a cup of coffee in me, I played the first of the school concerts which went pretty well for the most part, nothing to write home about. Still raining the entite way home, but it should be totally past us in another two hours.
FORTUNATELY, no damage anywhere around the house that I can see, and that's really all I ak.
I'm now just basking in the warmth of the house, and I'm going to make myself a nice late breakfast. I've got a few blessed hours in which to relax, and maybe grab a small nap, before getting ready to clean up and do it all over again for concert #2 this evening. But in clear, dry weather, which hopefully we are having for the next two days of these concerts.
As a precaution, I've ordered chicken matzo ball soup from Art's Deli.
Meanwhile, I’m making Christmas cookies and loving my new compact kitchen!
TOD - we’ll spend a few days with our granddaughters (and their parents) and hope to be entertaining offers on our old house.

I survived my oral surgery this morning. It's annoying, but I'll survive. So far, I have not needed to avail myself of the narcotic painkiller that was prescribed.
"Fleece Navidad."
I had a few meltdowns last night. I'm a big baby when I'm not feeling well. I began to think I may not survive this week, I may not survive until the dog is out of here, and I'm on the verge of cancelling the Do.

As you can see, my oral surgery had only enhanced my warped humor.

New driver's license arrived and the good news is the expiry date is five years away.

My friend Joseph Weiss has died. Emily Loesser had told me two weeks ago that he was in serious condition at Belleview Hospital following a stroke. I had met him early in my Drama Book Shop days, and he brought me in to work for Frank Loesser Enterprises and Jo Loesser. I will miss him.

Time to get out my set of Christmas angles.
White Christmas was wonderful. What’s wrong with the movie is still wrong. The Mandy number is a garish excess of immense proportions, the script is preposterous, and Rosemary Clooney looks like she could overpower the twink midgets surrounding her in her big solo. Yet I love Vera-Ellen every moment she’s on screen. And the Irving Berlin songs are largely perfect ear candy.
Of course, it's a free concert, but still, who knew SO many people would want to experience it this year!

I wonder how the stage version compares...if that fixed what's wrong.

Has he begun to read Kritzer World?
I guess he's just through with the late-night visits - a shame, but it's been happening more and more so that's the way it is.
