Well, you've read the notes, the notes straightened out the days, and now it is time for you to post until the straightened out cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SUSURRUS!

Did not make it to 8 pages of posts for the first time since 12/15. I blame myself.

Large piles of snow are sliding off our metal roof. It’s a terrifying sound.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
DR Jane, you may find something of interest on this list.
-
Who decides these things?
-
Oh, wait... DR Rodzinski already answered that question.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the train will be delayed.

It's so cold outside, I just saw a teenager with his pants pulled all the way up.

Friday, Friday
So good to me
Friday, Friday
You're just the way
I thought you would be.
-
What the hell am I rambling on about?
-
Another absolutely deliriously wonderful night of sleep.
I am enjoying it immensely.
-
Large piles of snow are sliding off our metal roof. It’s a terrifying sound.
OTOH (that's "on the other hand" in internet lingo), you must have some wonderful sounds when it rains.
-
I am tempted, but not absolutely certain, to make a Sam's Club run this morning.
Just because.
I need ice cream replenishment.
But...it's a long drive just for ice cream.
I might have to visit The Fresh Market and raid their deli counter, too,
-
And for some reason, I have "pizza" on my mind.
It's been a while (since before Christmas) since pizza made an appearance in my diet.
-
This weekend will be the first weekend in a month when I don't have a family function to attend.
Can that be true?
Christmas Eve at my cousin Debra's, New Year's Day at my cousin Debra's, the following Saturday at my cousin Ashley's, and last Saturday at Miss Audrey's third birthday party.
The party's over.
The candles have flickered and dimmed.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Good morning, all!
Good morning, Larry!
-
I slept better last night than I did the night before, so I'm rather pleased.
-
Hooray.
-
I need coffee.
Laters....
-
I had a small panic attack last night just before midnight. I need to make a financial decision very soon, but I keep waffling about the decision.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I’m sitting here, keeping an eye on the potential for flurries or even a light snowfall, to judge whether to drive Mikey to the vet for his bloodwork or call and reschedule.
-
Good morning
-
I am supposed to go to Joes Pub for a show tonight but the forecast is for snow

Nothing yet though….

Good morning, all.

Had a weird dream that I was somehow with a small group of people, and we were somehow forced to spend time with Roger Daltry. The other people were too young to remember or be interested in The Who, but I was a fan, so I started talking with him. He was very nice but reticent at first. Then he became really talkative. I remember not wanting to ask him about the infamous Cincinnati concert. I had friends in high school who went. In the end he pressed a lot of photos on me as we left.
-
I was supposed to see The Who on their first farewell tour, but I was forced to work at the college paper that night. Not fun.
-
I did see them about 15 years later on their fourth farewell tour. It was their warm-up night in a small upstate New York hockey rink. The show was four hours and included a half hour of songs from Townshend's The Iron Man musical. They cut all that overnight.
-
I also dreamed about working at the food bank and we had to deal with some Asian turkey import that was so thin it was almost nothing. On the label, the name was translate as turkey balls-tools.
-
Who knows.
-
TOD
I got the second disc of Albert Lamorisse movies from the library. It includes his two feature length films.
-
Time to stir.

Friday.....and we have sn*w.
-
I am baking some pork chops.
-
I am trying a new seasoning and it smells pretty good.
-
This is the most boring episode of Perry Mason I have ever seen.
-
Last night I watched a movie on STARZ.....it had been highly recommended by MR BK because it's not something I would ordinarily watch.....
Are You There, God? It's Me Margaret.
It was indeed very good and I enjoyed it. There were couple of things that were TMI for me, but that's okay.

This is the most boring episode of Perry Mason I have ever seen.
Is it the newer Perry Mason or classic Perry Mason?

Back from our visit with the vampire.
Hoping it went well.

Good Morning - it's the calm before the storm here today. It's suppose to start raining at 2:00pm and rain throughout the weekend until Tuesday. I'm hoping there are ample breaks to get the boys out and do their business. Other than that, it's a normal Friday - oh, I do have to play a funeral later on and I get to sing Sarah McLachlan's "Angel" which is one of my faves for sure.
-
Large piles of snow are sliding off our metal roof. It’s a terrifying sound.
At the same time it should be a satisfying sound knowing that the snow is leaving the roof ;)

LOL. I'm just mad that we didn't take a trip there to get out of our weather. Dealing with the airport and flights would not have been fun.

;D I gather you are referring to the original Perry Mason.
-
Yes DR FREDDIE & DR JANE it is an episode of the original Perry Mason......I don't remember the title - but perhaps I can look it up.
-
It's a season 5 episode titled The Case of the Crippled Cougar.

Friday afternoon greetings! As predicted, we woke up to a winter wonderland this morning. We’d planned to keep a pretty low profile through this weekend anyway.
-
In my last Kroger curbside order there were 3 yellow crooked-neck squash that I’ve just made into a casserole with cheddar cheese, sour cream, eggs, and bacon. It’s in the oven and we’ll let you know how it turns out.
We may be celebrating National Popcorn Day sooner rather than later…

I did go to Sam's Club.
I bought the one ice cream product they had that I wanted (although they haven't had the half-gallon Haagen-Dasz buckets for months).
I then went to The Fresh Market. Bought a Reuben-style sammich, a half-pound of teriyaki chicken wings and four spring rolls. I also bought a container of freshly made peanut butter.
The Fresh Market has the best store-made pizzas, but there were none today...just pizzas from Italy with no price tags on them. They didn't look appealing, so I didn't ask.
I did find a Margherita pizza in another food aisle that I have had before and love, so I bought that, too.

For whatever reason, today has been a very low-energy day. At times, I feel I don't have the strength to walk from here to there...and other times, I'm running around doing stuff (albeit for a short spell).

I doubt I will reach that new milestone today. Unless I go the Singdaw route and start counting.

I did get an offer saying "You might be interested in Roll Along Luggage" right after ordering tickets online for "Merrily We Roll Along."

Fond memories of animal crackers!
And they were small enough that when I was dieting, I could have just 20 or 30 calories of them, eat them slowly, and feel like I've had a treat, but wasn't "cheating" on the diet.

Some of the images when I googled looked more clothed than that guy in the Sotyktu commercial whose daughter screams "Dad!"

Good for you controlling how many you ate. I always have trouble stopping. Once I had these I never wanted other animal crackers.

The animal crackers I had came in a box, but the same concept!

I have an Amazon mystery.
-
Today, a box from Amazon arrived.
-
It clearly has my name on the outside.
-
Inside was a secondary box.
-
And inside that box are many metal parts of what appear to be a wall mounting bracket (for a television, etc.).
-
I did not order this.
-
I have no need for it.
-
I did not pay for it, that I can tell.
-
It is not on my Amazon orders page.
-
I can't think of anyone that would have sent it to me as a gift.
-
And there doesn't seem to be a way to tell Amazon about it, since everything starts with your order number.
-
And there was no packing slip.
-
So, it is an Amazon mystery.
-
Perhaps I can assemble it and mount one of my many moose heads.
-
Not.
-
Guess what we are having tonight ;)
Since it’s National Popcorn Day, I will guess: Cauliflower bits.
-
;D

I heard from my older cousin today. After a long recovery from a bout of flu she finally felt up to visiting her 98 year old friend in a nursing home. At the end of the visit, as she was leaving, the nurse told my cousin that the friend has covid >:(
I hope my cousin did not catch it, and possibly worse give it to her husband with Parkinson's who is not doing well .

Since we have four episodes of Fargo left to watch, we will watch two tonight and two tomorrow night.
-
DR Ron, the reason I didn't realize "True Detective" would not be airing until Sunday is that we had watched the first episode of season one.
We never watched the second episode and skipped to season four. We have watched both episodes. I am looking forward to the Sunday episode.

'night

Goodnight, Jane!
-
Thanks for the song, DR Freddie. :)

Hope your cousin will be OK, DR Jane. How could the nursing home allow visitors to a resident whom they know has Covid?

Some things I will never understand.
-
Good night, friends.
-
Oh, by the way…your friend you just visited has Covid. Absurd!
-
Glad your ma is back, Singdaw!

OMG! :o Why wouldn't anyone tell her BEFORE the darned visit??

Tonight's Poe Nocturne was weird.
-
Before the house opened, we had the pre-show lights up, but they just started blinking randomly!
-
The board was not programmed to do this, nor was anyone on the board making it happen.
-
It's actually happened in the past, and some things were tried to stop it from happening, but I guess that didn't work.
-
We call them Disco Lights, because that's pretty much what they looked like!
-
PAGE EIGHT DISCO LIGHTS DANCE!!

:D
-
Hopefully, Michael our president (who knows lights), and pug's husband Marko can troubleshoot (again!) and figure something out.
-
It won't happen before Poe ends because it ends on Sunday, and tonight was opening night for a show that Michael is in, so his time is limited. :-\
