Well, you've read the notes, the notes said enough already and I concur, and now it is time for you to post until the enough already cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: PRESTIGIOUS!
-
Very nice memories of Rita McKenzie, BK.
-
I discovered her from your recordings and thoroughly enjoyed her performances. :)
-
So, yesterday, I got the next pan from the local-ish casino, and it was a larger sauce plan:
-
I just now noticed the bottle of Goo Gone behind the pots! I've been looking for that for a few days! Dopey me! ::)
;D
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept really well. I was awakened around 4:00 by Annabelle's coughing up a hairball on the pillow next to me. She bounded off the bed and I could hear her coughing for a while in another part of the apartment.
-
This morning I return to Verizon with two semi-working phones. I have no idea what the outcome will be.
-
Good luck, DR elmore3003.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Thanks, DR vixmom! ;D
-
I like your pots, DR George.
-
And that is not a euphemism.
-
Happy President's Day, everyone.
-
Who decides these things?
-
So... is anyone planning to buy a mattress or an appliance today? Isn't that what celebrating President's Day is all about?
-
Loved your tribute to Rita McKenzie in the Notes, BK.

They look nice. Hoping you enjoy them!

Nice notes!
-
Congratulations on another pan DR GEORGE.
-
Glad to hear that DR MICHAEL G's opera is going nicely.
-
Good luck telephone wise DR ELMORE.
-
I am stepping out for few items today and taking a pair of my NEW eyeglasses back to the spectacle shop - one of the arms fell off.....and I've only had them since December.

TOD:
Among '60s comedies, I remember that "Cactus Flower" with Walter Matthau, Ingrid Bergman and Goldie Hawn was a real favorite for a while
-
- though the remake "Just Go With It" with Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston was somehow not as good.
-
"Lover Come Back" was 1961, and that's among my all-time favorite comedies.
-
"Viva Max!' from 1969 was a real favorite, but the original novel even more than the movie
Our musical version of "Viva Max!" goes back to the original novel by Jim Lehrer.
-
Can we get to page 2 before 8 a.m. Eastern time?
-
Yes, page 2 - before 8 a.m. Eastern, with minutes to spare.
-
May you all have a very relaxing day.

All I have left to do after kitty cleanup is make the bed. I have an hour and 45 minutes until AAR picks me up, and I'm wondering why I did not sleep another hour longer.

Decent night’s sleep, bizarre dream, awake too early, etc. You know the drill.

It was my charger on the old phone that was not working! So I've ordered a new one from Amazon.
The new cell phone cost me $87.00 on Friday. The return cost me $50, so I got a $37 credit. The Verizon staff were nice; the manager was a bitch. That said, my old phone works like new, and I think I'm pleased.

The Access-a-Ride driver was 35 minutes early, but he was happy to wait. I hope tomorrow goes as well.

I remember really laughing a lot at "It's a Mad (etc.) World" - though I haven't seen it since the kiddie matinee where they showed it at the Trump Cinema in the Trump Village Shopping Center Brooklyn, and the chaperoning parents were a little shocked that the kiddie matinee included Ethel Merman being turned over to get the car keys out of her top and falling out of her dress.
-
Glad that's resolved for you, DR elmore3003.
Same here. Glad that all worked out!

How frustrating they charged you $50 to return the phone. They should have been able to tell you you needed a new charger instead of giving you the phone in the first place

Another Monday. This month is whizzing by.
I have two medical appointments next week: One on Monday and the other on Tuesday.
-
I had lunch with family yesterday.
We ate BBQ chicken and ribs, corn, broccoli salad, baked potatoes and yeast rolls.
Chocolate delight for dessert.
I love my family get-togethers. Except for my cousin Debra and I, all were relatively young'uns although they are married with kids. My three-year-old cousin Audrey was there. She's a pistol.

I have the studio recording of the musical adaptation called What About Luv? (https://castalbums.org/recordings/What-About-Luv-1989-London-Studio-Cast/2932/), with Judy Kaye. It's been years since I listened to it (and I don't know the original), but I remember really liking it.

From DR Vixmom:
We watched the final episode of this season’s True Detective: Night Country tonight. We quite enjoyed it.
I am looking forward to watching it.
-
From vixmom:
I have heard there will be a second season with the same cast and setting.
But I’m not sure that’s actually true as things seemed pretty wrapped up.
I'm glad to know the story is wrapped up. Interested I did a search. It seems many people are asking about a second season while nothing official has been mentioned.

Tonight we had a compulsory dinner with the DH's boss.
I don't think that I'd want a job where I'd have to have a compulsory dinner with anyone's boss. :-\
-
It was much less painful than I thought it might be.
Nevertheless... ::)
-
Listening to disc two of Amour or La Passe Muraille in France. It IS a live recording.
I have that recording. I haven't listened to it since I got it several years ago. How do you like it, BK?
-
I love Legrand - it has one great theme and the rest is fine but not as inspired as that main theme. I have to listen again, though.
-
Welcome to newbie MichaelG. Glad to have you aboard.
Where did you hear of us?
I've been getting some Kritzerland CDs lately, which led me to the memoirs books and then here. I've had BK's CDs in my collection since Bay Cities days.
-
I have a few Bay Cities CDs, but I didn't make the connection to BK until the Varčse Sarabande/Fynsworth Alley days.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
They're short and semi-sweet.
-
Page nine is fine.
