Well, you've read the notes, the notes were filed under notes, and now it is time for you to post until the filed cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: EATERY!
-
If something has been filed, can it be defiled?
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
That's pretty cool, BK, about finding the gal who did Stop the World with you in New Jersey in 1969!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept well until sometime in the middle of the night when I had a panic attack over the financial mess I am currently in. That calmed down when Annabelle crawled into bed - I have no idea where she was sleeping, probably the paper wastebasket - and snuggled up next to me.
-
I'm hoping that I can type out my Act One list of errors to be corrected before Monday afternoon's rehearsal. As soon as that's finished, I'll tackle Act Two.
-
Good morning.
-
Good morning, all.

I started feeling a scratchy throat last night, and I’ve been sneezing some, too, so I just canceled my appointment with the dermatologist for today. It’s just as well. We’ve got rain all day and I really didn’t want to drive out to that other office anyway.
-
It was spectacular seeing Rio Bravo at that venue. And my, it’s a long movie. But it’s fun, and the beautiful film-like look and the amazing detail in the picture were something to behold.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
.
-
Who decides these things?
-
Glad to read that BK's book is progressing nicely.
-
This day is already flying by like a gazelle doing a cameo on Cop Rock.

I had the weirdest dream last night. I dreamed that Jeremy, who's illustrating Annabelle & Thatch, died. I went to Joshie to ask what had happened, and he wouldn't talk about it. He just ignored me and continued to pull music out of a filing cabinet and had things to a young man sitting in a chair next to him./ I knew the young man in the dream, but now I cannot remember who it was.

Good morning, all.
-
Headed to San Angelo this morning. Looking forward to the drive.
-
Spring has hit San Antonio. Hoping to see lots of wildflowers.
-
I’m also looking forward to listening to more of Kristin Hannah’s The Women, a novel about nurses in Vietnam, kind of like a sister story of China Beach.
-
Did anyone else watch China Beach? I always thought their final six episodes or so were among the best of all time.
-
We’re almost to page two.
-
One more.
-
Two!

That sounds awful. Are you able to stay indoors a lot today?

Enjoy the drive, John G!
-
George, the spreading out of your watch story to make a lot of posts was excellent!
Sorry about the battery, though.

I loved the series! Concetta Tomei was the neighbor of a Drama Book Shop co-workere; shje was brilliant in the original cast of Larry Kramer's The Normal Heart. I knew her slightly, so I was hap[py when she went on to China Beach.
-
DR JOHN G I also liked China Beach a lot.
-
Lots of rain last night - but we didn't get any of the severe weather that was talked about.
So I guess I can take Dennis the Smart Car out of the carport....
-
It is only 29 degrees and windy. This time yesterday it was 69 degrees and sunny.
-
Hmmmm......message me the name & address MR BK and I will do a bit of sleuthing.
-
From DR George:
Jane, it's official...Sharry is in the show, so we'll finally be involved (if not acting) in a show together!
I am excited by your news. I am sure working with Sharry will be fun :)
-
George, congrats on your final, nice new dutch oven style pot.
-
George you didn't mention gambling when you picked up the pot.

Made it to Lum’s BBQ in Junction, about halfway. Have a plate of ribs and jalapeño-cheddar sausage. Just because.

Interesting comparison-thanks. I won't be reading this until July since I need to save it for my book discussion group.

I loved China Beach from the first moment.
-
Keith was traveling for work and never watched it. I've suggested we watch it now but he has declined.
-
I never saw China Beach
-
I have a red pot just like that DR GEORGE.
But mine wasn't free.
I like to use it for chili or spaghetti or beef stew or chicken and noodles.
-
Now I'm hungry.
-
Slow news day at HHW.

George, the spreading out of your watch story to make a lot of posts was excellent!
Sorry about the battery, though.
Thanks, Freddie. I did just order an inexpensive smart watch (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0CLNWPMNC/), but it has a 4.5 rating, so that's pretty good.
-
It's sold as a "ladies" watch ::) but I wanted something a little different.
-
I'm tired of just solid black watches (and my watch that just died was not solid black), so this was a nice option.
-

The news was just out when I turned on my computer.

It is nice for a smart watch. I like the roses on it though I am guessing the design can be changed.
-

LOL, explains the roses. I still think it will look nice on you.
-
DR George please share photos with some of the different designs you play with.
-
This morning we stopped at Goodwill with a carload of donations, mostly heavy boxes of books.
-
Then we drove a few minutes down the road to the Portland Costco.
-
DR Ginny I thought of you experiencing your first Costco adventure and hope your check out line went smoothly, and quickly, like they normally do.
-
This time many of the lines were closed, and the line we did get into got stalled with a problem. Fortunately Keith noticed a checker opening a new spot next to us and moved quickly to the new check out. As we were walking out the store the person stalled in the other line was just finishing up and left after us.
-
The last time we were at Costco the person in front of us kept having her card rejected. We felt bad for her but it did delay us by about ten minutes.
-
DR Ron, sorry I streched out that unexciting story ;D
-
DR Ron, sorry I streched out that unexciting story ;D
A slow HHW news day means stories are better stretched over several posts! :)
-
Except DR Ron finds it more comfortable to read them all in one post.
-
LOL @ the INDIANA cat story by DR RON PULLIAM.
-
I am not a member of Costco OR Sam's Club......I may be missing out on something.
-
I am starting to work on choreography for KANSAS CITY for Oklahoma!
We shall see how it comes out.
The director has requested that I include some clogging.....we shall see what happens.
-
I wonder if DR JOHN G is affected by the fires in Texas.
-
Some basketball games of interest tonight......
-
I am glad DR GEORGE found a new watch to his liking.
I am also enjoying his posts about his stage managing experience.
-

Thanks, and thanks, Jrand!
-
They shall continue, I'm sure...eventually. :D
-
I'm tired of just solid black watches (and my watch that just died was not solid black), so this was a nice option.
That's great! It's the 21st. century, after all!
-
I wonder if we can make it to page 4 ...
-
before BK gets back.
-
Yes, we made it - page 4!
-
I wonder if DR JOHN G is affected by the fires in Texas.
Wondering the same thing I looked at a map. I suppose it depends which way the wind is blowing, however, it seemed to be New Mexico might be getting the smoke vs DR John.
-
THanks, DR Freddie. I managed to stay inside ALL day.
-
And I'm not complaining.
-
I would think not ;)
-
I am waiting to hear if my guess regarding smoke from the fires is correct.
-
I do hope DR John does not have to deal with smoke and poor air quality.
-
I hope those fires are put out very soon.
-
'night
-
Good evening.
-
I ate carbs with alacrity -- Cheezitz. And two grape juice boxes.
-
And now back to my carb-less normal: eggs and cheese and spinach for dinner.
-
I ate carbs with alacrity -- Cheezitz. And two grape juice boxes.
That’s nutrition!
-
I had left over pork loin with gravy, mashed potatoes and pickled red cabbage
-
Tomorrow night I am going to see Pure Prairie League
-
Post-blood donation snacks.
-
Anyone else remember them?
-
And I savored every bite.
-
They’re playing at a venue that was formerly a movie theatre in which my best friend worked as a cashier when we were in high school
-
The night should be quite nostalgic
-
Then I hope you greet it with alacrity.
-
I know I shall.
-
Good night, friends.
-
Good night singalong
-
It's raining again
-
Or still
-
But at least the wind isn't blowing as hard as last night
-
All the windows were rattling
-
Immensely page 300 of Kritzer World
-
Perhaps I'll see what happens next
-
Yay, vixmom - you got us to page 5!
-
Page five. Pish and tosh.
-
Had two sandwiches for lunch, and a third right now. Total calories 1200 and that's it for the day. If I can stick to that, I'll start losing weight.
-
Tomorrow night I am going to see Pure Prairie League
Anyone else remember them?
I've never heard of them.

Not even "Amie, what you wanna do / I think I could stay with you / For a while, maybe longer, if I do"? I'm afraid that might be the only song of theirs I remember. Enjoy the concert, DR vixmom!
-
Today I filled out my primary ballot which I'll drop off tomorrow. We have open races for both the Senate and House this year.

Thank you!

I've finished Kritzer World which I enjoyed a great deal

-
I have 2 or 3 Pure Prairie League records. All have this same Norman Rockwell-esque Cowboy figure on the cover.
-
Amie is a great song.
Let me Love You Tonight is an e-Z listening classic.
-
I was wondering the other day if anyone remembered China Beach. Then John G asked about it.
Then…
-
I was just watching the first episode of Anything But Love with Richard Lewis and Jamie Lee Curtis on YouTube, and what comes on? An ad for China Beach!
-
I recalled really liking Anything But Love, but it was also one of those shows they retooled so much there was a different supporting cast every time you turned it on.
-
Ann Magnuson was a good addition in season 2.
-
Bruce Weitz joined in season 3. No memory of that.
-
Is Bruce Weitz still alive? Let’s check. My guess is yes.
-
He is alive and a youthful 80 years old.

At least, not those lyrics.

Wait! I recognise that tune! I probably just never paid attention to those lyrics, but the melody is actually familiar.
-
And I certainly never learned the name of the group.
-
Tonight's Incorruptible table read of act one went well.
-
They got through act one twice and the director was very happy with the directions that the actors were going with their characters.
-
...so far. :)
-
It's still early, so there's more work that will need to be done.
-
Tomorrow night will be table work for act two.
-
Sharry will be there.
-
Her character (Agatha) isn't in the first act, only the second.

-
My friend Dennis, who is playing Charles, and I live not too far from each other, so we're going to carpool, which will save both of us some gas money.
-
He drove tonight, and I'll drive tomorrow night.
-
Page six again?
-
Barely again?
-
Well, we have five minutes.
-
Of course, George is eating a burrito.
-
I am not eating a burrito.
-
I am here, posting.
-
It's a long way to seven.
-
George could have already made fifteen posts, but noooooo.
-
I'm sipping a Vernor's zero sugar.
-
Why not?
-
I just felt like it.
-
I found another gal from the 1969 production of Stop the World. Amazing.
-
I'm getting good at this sleuthing thing.
-
Are you?
-
Is anybody there?
-
Does anybody care?
-
Does anybody see what i see?
-
No help.
-
Burritos come first, I guess.
-
Priorities, people, priorities.
-
So glad Vixmom finished Kritzer World, which has one of my favorite final sentences of anything I've written.
-
Looking forward to her review.
-
Hoping elmore finishes it soon, too.
-
No help.
-
It's all up to me.
-
I must climb every mountain alone.
-
I must ford every stream alone.
-
I could Pontiac every stream, but ford is better.
-
I do not care for page seven.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
Someone WILL be held accountable.
-
And I think I know just who that might be.
