Well, you've read the notes, the notes were #1, and now it is time for you to post until the #1 cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: JABBERWOCKY!
-
Congrats on being #1 on Amazon, BK! And here's the proof:

That's fabulous! Congrats to BK!
-
Welcome back, Rodzinski and family!
-
Good morning, all!
-
Yesterday's orchestra rehearsal went really well. By the time it ended, I was mentally fried and very hungry, so I ordered a turkey club sandwich from the Amsterdam Deli. It was here by 7:20, and I ate half of the sandwich. I'll have the rest today. I watched MSNBC before I Went to bed.
-
Since I was up around 5:30 the past two mornings, I thopught I'd sleep in and set the alarm for 6:40. Except I forgot to turn off ther 5:20 alarm. Oy!
-
Kitty cleanup will be a little more detailed this morning, since three cats had two days to play while I was out.
-
Am up early this morning. I have a 9 a.m. telephonic medical appointment.
It's a consultation. I asked my doctor about the possibility of getting injectable insulin pens for my daily dosages, but he said those were only prescribed for people who had impairments that made giving themselves daily shots difficult.
My concern is where else to inject myself. You have to find a different location for each shot. Once you do it daily for eight years, you run out of territory that easily accepts a fine point needle. That's right! It's not easy doing injections on sites you've previously used even if it was a month or more ago. Sub-cutaneous scarring or something makes the skin more resistant to penetration.
My doctor isn't a specialist, and the doctor calling me at 9 this morning is. He will give me some ideas on where else to "amuse" myself. The recommended site has been around my navel and outward over time. As time has grown, my outward expansion has not.

I hardly know what to make of the fact that today is the 22nd of March. How did it happen?
And, on top of that, it's Friday!

Vibes to Ron for finding a solution to the shot dilemma
So...the phone rang at 8:37 a.m. It was the doctor being an early bird.
We talked, we discussed and we came to a solution. He has "determined" that since I wear glasses and live alone I qualify for the injectable insulin pen.
Hallelujah. His first recommendations to me were to use my upper thigh, the back of my arms and/or my buttocks. While I could do the latter, the back of the arms would be a bit awkward.
The injectable pen will work in all locations with me simply pressing a button (or something akin to a button).
-
On a different note, the theater department of my college (now a university) -- Mars Hill University, Mars Hill, NC, 19 miles north of Asheville, NC -- has decided to have a reunion of all theater majors in the school's history (those of us who have survived, that is).
It will be in September, will include a tour of all the theater facilities, a tour of the campus, a dinner, a performance of a play, etc. It will be conducted over two days. They are in the process of getting a group rate at local hotels (my vote is for the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, but it won't happen).
I plan on going. Too many folks I knew and did plays with are now gone, my roommate included. So many ghosts.
Most will be folks who never heard of the Class of 1970, but we will be represented!!

I enjoyed Wordle for a long time, but I have discovered that life is just as sweet without it.
Plus, too many old Wordle results are now turning up in my Facebook "memories" page.

Last night's opening was good.

-
Hello, 5 guests!
-
I'm up, I'm up - six hours of sleep, but going back to bed for a couple of hours.
-
But there's this gal who friended me on Facebook at some point when I was accepting everyone (can't do that anymore). Her posts have been coming across my feed for the past couple of days. She's got very severe Asperger's and she made a post today and I swear it's like reading Preview Harvey. While I know there are people who don't like the book or can't even get through it, I now am sure it was the right book to write in exactly the way I wrote it.
-
That's nice, BK.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Doctor visit accomplished.
-
It did snow overnight, but the roads weren't too bad.
-
And the doctor didn't yell at me.
-
Too much.
-
:)
-
Then, since it was near by, I filled up the car with groceries.
-
The store was quite uncrowded.
-
Which was nice, seeing as how a major snowstorm is predicted for Sunday.
-
Congratulations on being #1, BK. Or your new book is/was, anyway.
-
Number ONE!
-
Glad to hear that DR RON PULLIAM & DR singdaw had successful doctor's visits.....in person and otherwise.
-
DR RON PULLIAM that reunion sounds like a lot of fun!
There was similar event at DePauw in 2018 - when I happened to be appearing in SISTER ACT......
-
I went to the gas station for petrol and bought a PowerBall ticket - so we're in the money, folks!
-
DR Jrand73, were you the SISTER or the ACT?
-
Then I took my coupon to Burger King and got a Family Bundle to eat on this weekend.

A happy heavenly birthday to BK's close personal friend, Mr. Stephen J. Sondheim.

I had thought that SJS had been a member of the American Academy of Arts & Letters, but I don't find his name on the roster.

DR FREDDIE in a Family Bundle you get 3 medium fries, 3 regular cheeseburgers, and 3 Whoppers.....$17.99 + tax.....so it will last me probably until Tuesday.

Covers came - one tiny spacing thing is still left - I told them if they can fix it in a timely fashion within the hour, to fix it. Otherwise, I'll live with it. Waiting to hear. But everything else is fine.

You're welcome.

DR Singdaw that is a long time to have your water shut off, and not be able to flush a toilet.
-
From DR Singdaw:
Then, once the water was off, the toilet valve in the wall, which we have been telling management needed to be replaced for over a year, started gushing water. It went all over the bathroom floor, and then started seeping into our foyer.
Oh no. I hope you weren't home alone and had help with the mess.
-
From Singdaw:
Management didn't seem too keen about treating it as an emergency.
>:(

I was half expecting and hoping the doctor would qualify you for the injectable pen. I think you will be much happier using it.
For two years I gave myself injection of Forteo for my bones. I alternated various location on my stomach and my thighs. I never had to worry about using the same location more than once. I find that it is an issue with your injections a bit disconcerting.
Vibes you don't have problems the longer you do the injections.

I enjoyed Wordle for a long time, but I have discovered that life is just as sweet without it.

I wondered why you hadn't been posting results.
I often delete "memories" on Facebook I don't feel the need to see again.

I have been using fine point needle syringes. I think the injectable pens won't have the problem of tough sub-cutaneous resistance. The pen injects automatically rather than having me find a place to insert a needle.

Oh no. I hope you weren't home alone and had help with the mess.
I was home alone, and not only that, but on phones for work, so there was nothing I could do. I secretly thought that if the water went into the apartment of the neighbor below, perhaps that would give the matter more urgency.

I decided I like the spacing mistake - so I left it. Covers approved, book to printers on Monday.

Having to work instead of dealing with the situation must have been frustrating. At least you were able to convince them to take care of the problem.

Was it DR John G. who said that he had listened to Thomas Ades's opera The Exterminating Angel?
-
I know it was staged at the Met, and now there is a new production from France on Medici TV.
-
I mention it because the original movie was also, of course, part of the source material for SJS's Here We Are.
-
And HERE WE ARE still on page five.
-
Nice segue, eh?
-
Apparently Barbra's son, Jason Gould, released an extended play album today.
-
Was it DR John G. who said that he had listened to Thomas Ades's opera The Exterminating Angel?
I watched it when the Met offered free operas during the pandemic.
-
EP is what they call mini albums now, I guess.
-
I mention it because the original movie was also, of course, part of the source material for SJS's Here We Are.
It was the basis for act two of said show.
-
It has been a long day.
-
After a morning dance class, I took a friend to an eye center for some surgery.
-
Then wen to lunch, had another dance class and picked up said friend.
-
I raced from her house to mine. Changed clothes quickly and headed downtown.
-
SIX?
-
SIX.
-
I then ushered for the Philharmonic. Excellent program of Schumann’s Symphony No. 3, Coleridge-Taylor’s Ballade and a Mozart piano concerto in C minor.
-
My Amazon Kindle "tablet" is many generations old and slow as molasses.
-
My Kindle Oasis e-reader, however, is the bomb.
-
I’m now resting on a heating pad and unwinding before bed.
-
That sounds like a lovely program, DR John G.

My grandmother lost her English as well, reverting to Czech
-
My dad lost his language altogether , first using the wrong words for things and getting frustrated because he could tell he was saying the wrong words , but before long he was limited to yes and no and then finally even those went away
-
It’s terrifying . Quite honestly I’d rather be hit by a bus than go through that, or put my family through that .
-
In happier news, my mom and I went to bingo at the church tonight.
-
We do it maybe once a year as a fund raiser for the youth .
-
Prizes are donated for winners.
-
This year there were “ mystery” bags so you didn’t know what the prizes were, you just chose a bag at random
-
I won a game and in my bag was this pillow
-
Also a dream catcher which I failed to photograph but have included in a box I just sealed to mail tomorrow to the Florida Vixfamily for their Easter goodies .
-
The Vixter always had a dreamcatcher in her room, I thought perhaps they would like one for Vixson
-
Also there were three small tubes of hand cream, perfect for purse or office desk drawer
-
2 dozen chocolate kisses
-
And a $5 Dunkin’ Donuts gift card
-
So I picked a lucky bag!
-
And we’re on lucky page seven!
-
BKs most favoritist page ever!
-
Tomorrow morning I must get to the post office quite early so I can get the box shipped to the kids
-
Then I have to drive up to the new optometrist to see about getting new spectacles made
-
I also have a 3 pm zoom call
-
Oh and I have to pickup my new prescription from the chemist’s.
-
Um, drug store.
-
Also on Sunday I’m getting a Covid booster ( talk about locking the barn door after the horses have bolted)
-
And a RSV shot
-
Speaking of shots, Ron, I am very pleased to hear your doctor was able to justify your need for the pen
-
Perhaps the choreography for DR elmore3003's ballet will look like this:

An age-old question:

Sweet!
-
I’m trying to think of more stuff to say to get us off this page
-
Beloved though it is by BK
-
Oh thank goodness, George is here!
-
Hello George! How was your day and evening?
-
Oh no! George has left!

Ironically, there are no color Kindles, but if you read BK's new book in the Kindle app, you can see the color photos.
There used to be the Kindle Fire, which was a tablet-type Kindle.
-
I never got one because I had actual Kindles and actual tablets. I didn't need a hybrid.
-
Hello, Vixmom!
-
Well it rhymes don’t it?
-
Yay! George has returned!
-
Let the celebrations commence!
-
I have a kindle somewhere , I’m not sure where actually.

To quote Steve, yesterday's birthday boy, "No one is alone." :)
-
It was a gift from Vixdad, but I just did not love reading books on a kindle
-
Ooh page ocho
-
There’s something about have an actual book that just makes me happier .
-

I really like my Kindle, but I don't like the Kindle Fire, or reading books on tablets. They're just too shiny and the glare can be quite annoying.
-
I see that Kathleen Battle has been invited back to the Metropolitan Opera to give a recital this Spring, years after she was banished for bad behavior.
She is 75 now.
Good...but how long did they know about James Levine before theyfinally got rid of him? ::)

The current Broadway revival of Merrily has recouped.
Congrats! Although, I thought that that would be a given.
-
Good night, all.
-
Good night, John.
-
I forgot to put the home address for the Amazon Fresh delivery - therefore it went to the mail place. I'll go over there in the morning and fetch it. Thankfully, there weren't any perishables. Just mayo, mustard, soup, English muffins, and pasta.
Whew!

I have been using fine point needle syringes. I think the injectable pens won't have the problem of tough sub-cutaneous resistance. The pen injects automatically rather than having me find a place to insert a needle.
Major vibes the pen injects do not have a long term problem.

I mention it because the original movie was also, of course, part of the source material for SJS's Here We Are.
It was the basis for act two of said show.
...which had almost no music.

My Kindle Oasis e-reader, however, is the bomb.
I bought a used Kindle Oasis a few years ago, but its battery does not last very long. :P

I enjoyed Wordle for a long time, but I have discovered that life is just as sweet without it.
Plus, too many old Wordle results are now turning up in my Facebook "memories" page.
It’s my little morning jumpstart for my brain. I’m now also doing connections and tiles.
I’m deathly afraid if developing dementia/Alzheimer’s like my dad and his mother .
My dad had unmistakable signs of dementia. :(

I share the same fear. Dad had it. Mom, at her age, is now doing what Dad always fessed: She’s losing her English, reverting to German, which her caregivers don’t speak.
That's too bad. :-\
-
My dad lost his language altogether , first using the wrong words for things and getting frustrated because he could tell he was saying the wrong words , but before long he was limited to yes and no and then finally even those went away
When we'd play Phase 10 before my dad died, his mind switched the meanings of runs and sets, so three 10s was a "run," or a 1,2,3,4 was a "set."
-
In happier news, my mom and I went to bingo at the church tonight.
Sounds like fun!
-
I won a game and in my bag was this pillow
(http://www.haineshisway.com/smf/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=7544.0;attach=21449)
Congrats! That's a great pillow!
-
Also a dream catcher which I failed to photograph but have included in a box I just sealed to mail tomorrow to the Florida Vixfamily for their Easter goodies .
Very nice!
-
Hello George! How was your day and evening?
The day was quite sedate, and the evening was losing two games of Phase 10...so nothing unusual. ;D

PAGE NINE DANCE!!
-
EP - the term began in 1952 for 45s that had more than two tracks (one per side) EPs generally had four and a nice cardboard picture sleeve. I had a lot of Elvis EPs and Ricky Nelson EPs back in the day. It stands for Extended Play.
-
Had a two-hour nap, maybe even three.
-
All caught up!
-
All home and dry.
-
House still here where we left it.
-
Stopped in Bellingham on the way home to run a couple errands.
-
Tried the new Jack in the Box “smash burger.” It was fine but not particularly smashed.
-
Drove by George’s alma mater, WWU.

Hoo and Ray!

I agree...I liked it, but I expected it to be more smashed, not so formed.
-
Drove by George’s alma mater, WWU.
Cool. I don't think I've been back since graduation.

Welcome home, Rodzinski.

New notes are finally up.

Up are finally new notes.

I've finally read them.

I finally wrote them.
