Good morning, friends.
-
Contrary to appearances, I have not been staring at this board all night.
-
But now I am here, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.

.
-
Who decides these things?
-
~~~CONTINUED MULTIPLE MODERN MAJOR MIRACLE VIBES~~~ for the likes of BK!!!!
-
The Easter feasts of DR vixmom, DR George, and DR John G. all sound quite enticing.
-
And reading about them made me hungry.
-
~~~EYEGLASS VIBES~~~ for BK!!!!
-
Good morning, all.
-
It's the first of you-know-what, and I already have a hugely busy Monday to start on.
-
Good morning
-
I ended up going to bed almost immediately after my last post last night where I slept soundly until just after 7 am
-
I am now caught up
-
Lovely reviews
-
Important envelope vibes for BK

Guess I’ll Wordle and go to work, perhaps I’ll have time to grab a lottery ticket or two on the way

I had a terrible night of sleep, most of it caused by the aches and cramps in my legs. I could not get comfortable, and my bladder would not stop running, and three casts who mistakenly believe my bed is theirs did everything to aggravate me. As soon as kitty cleanup is finished, I am lying down for a nap.
-
I have few plans for the day: I need to tidy the apartment, Doug wants to enter the score fixes into the computer, and that will take usa several weeks, and I need to reschedule tomorrow's Access-a-Ride.

I simply can't spell this morning.
-
Or type.
-
In other words, I'm a complete mess.
-
They say:
Red sky at morning,
Sailors take warning.
-
Well, the sky was very red here this morning.
-
So I consider myself
at home warned.
-
Good morning.

Watched Calendar Girls last night (for the first time). Helen Mirren was marvelous.

Watched Calendar Girls last night (for the first time). Helen Mirren was marvelous.
I saw the stage adaptation that Tacoma Little Theatre did a few years ago. My (and Jane's and Tom's) friend Sharry was in it. ;D
-
Our Easter feast yesterday was breakfast. I'm always wiped out after I get home from church, so I don't make Easter dinner. Besides, other than my daughter, no one would come.
-
And now, in honor of today...
-
Just remember: NO GROANING ALLOWED!! :D
-
Facepalms are allowed.
-
I got up at 4 a.m. to make the biscuits and gravy. I put the french toast casserole in the oven. I hauled everything over to the church to find the Kitchen Queen already at work. She got up at 2 a.m. to start cooking at her house.
-
It was a "potluck," but with a sign-up. Some of the people showed up with their dishes after everyone had gone through the buffet line.
-
It was a very carb-heavy breakfast. But I ate bacon and eggs and about a half cup of gravy. My Lenten carb-fast is over, but I don't want to ruin it.
-
I spent four posts detailing yesterday's breakfast.
-
It began raining yesterday about sunrise. It's still raining off and on and should continue much of today.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Congratulations on the rain, DR Laura.

Finally! Congratulations!!!

DITTO.

Thanks to all for the play suggestions yesterday.

I had been thinking about BUTTERFLIES ARE FREE.....until I bought a copy of the script.....it's a bit too sexy for us.
Lots of folks bring their kids......last summer during GREASE when Teen Angel sang his song including: ".....no one would come to you unless she was a hooker....."
And during the tacit, a boy asked his dad: "Dad, what's a hooker...."
-
Theeder can be educational.
-
Monday.....very cloudy and probably some rain later today.

Oh man. Biscuits and gravy. I'm so overdue for that.
I really only ever have it when I'm in the great Midwest, and only when I'm at a Bob Evans for breakfast. Having it more often would be a major lifestyle improvement.
-
DR Jrand73 --
Would Boeing Boeing be too sexy for your audience? Have you ever done it?
I know you said you've done a bunch of Neil Simon, but how about Rumors? I only saw it once more than two decades ago, and I remember very little about it, but I know I laughed my ASS off.
-
:)
-
Well, damn! I forgot the management was replacing the sidewalk in front of our building. I am now a Prisoner of West 82nd Street, so I am spending time this morning dealing with the fallout of being unable to leave the building.

What a coinkydink! I have a couple of packets of country gravy mix that have been in a drawer for a while ::) and just last week I bought a (discounted) box of Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix specifically so that I can use the gravy mixes and make myself some biscuits and gravy!

That's great!

Just remember: NO GROANING ALLOWED!! :D
Too late! I groaned. But it was a good appreciative groan!
-
I spent four posts detailing yesterday's breakfast.
You know BK will appreciate that!
And it sounds delicious!

Thanks, Freddie! I wish I made it up myself.

DR Vixmom, Vixson is very clever with his party trick :)

Maybe not as much fun but it is easy :)

We had a video chat with Craig, nothing else.

Good luck continuing to be good.

I believe legally they have to make it accessible for any impaired person, so there should be an alternate usable path for you. Maybe a 311 call if not.
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.
-
I'll go do some banking in about thirty minutes.

This beautiful dog is Anabelle. I've been following her on Facebook for maybe four years now. She was an abused dog, primarily a breeding machine, who was rescued by wonderful family with several dogs with mental and physical abuse issues. This morning, I learned that they are rushing Anabelle to her vets at Ohio State University. She's dying from lymphoma, and the news is breaking my heart.
-
Oh very sad DR ELMORE.
-
Boeing Boeing is a bit sexy......I loved Rumors....but it's got a LOT of language in it.....LOL.....
DR VIXMOM we can't do Noises Off because our proscenium won't allow us to have a 2 story set that revolves...... Although some folks think they have a way around that.....so I hope they enjoy directing it......
-
The pilot light went out on my water heater - so no shower today....my nephew is coming sometime to take care of it.

Have you done "God of Carnage" yet?
-
Lots of videos online on how to do the upchucking scene in "God of Carnage"
-
JRand, my suggestion for a play is "Something's Afoot."

Watched Calendar Girls last night (for the first time). Helen Mirren was marvelous.
That was a fun movie!
-
Back from banking - no lines at either bank and in and out of each in two minutes. Stopped at Gelson's and got a steak (New York), steamed broccoli (first time I've ever seen it in the hot food bar), and two artichokes, one of which I'll have for my evening snack.

It is nice your nephew can take care of it for you.

Monday afternoon greetings! I have been to a ladies’ meeting that included a tour and tea party at the newly restored Sorg Mansion in Middletown.
-
Well, damn! I forgot the management was replacing the sidewalk in front of our building. I am now a Prisoner of West 82nd Street, so I am spending time this morning dealing with the fallout of being unable to leave the building.
That’s a cruel April Fool prank!
-
I heard from Doug, who is now back in Seattle. Indiana University's Live! streaming service will put up Saturday night's performance for future viewing.

I’m looking forward to sending the link to my ballerina daughter-in-law, who told me on the phone last night that she has danced portions of La Bayadère.

DR FREDDIE i don't know from God's Carnage - but I don't think it's from us.
DR LAURA I am looking for a play....we only do two musicals a season......

I'll go do some banking in about thirty minutes.
Oh, that reminds me that I need to do some banking. I got a check for Theater Artists Olympia from another theater group that used our space as a rental and I need to deposit it.
-
Fortunately, there's time. :)

~~~HOT WATER VIBES~~~ for DR Jrand73.
And I mean the good kind.
It sounds like the Saturday night performance of the ballet is a good choice for the one that will be available permanently.
I put in my vacation request for October, when I hope to be traveling back East to see my mother and her sister. Crossing my fingers it is approved. We're a small team, to it's always iffy. Only so many people can be approved out at once, and you can't request more than 6 months ahead.
Vibes your vacation time works out!
DR FREDDIE i don't know from God's Carnage - but I don't think it's from us.
LOL! It may be too rarefied, a comedy genre unto itself - a Best Play Tony winner with a celebrated vomiting scene!
Roman Polanski made the movie version, just called "Carnage" - which starred Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet, Christoph Waltz and John C.Reilly.
-
Has your theater done "August: Osage County" or "Steel Magnolias"
-
Oh, I see you've done "Steel Magnolias."
Vibes you get the dates you requested.
Thanks, all!
-
Planted three roses today, including a Julie Andrews, which is a soft pink.
-
I got all three on a bargain table for $3.24 apiece.
-
Now starting The President’s Analyst with James Coburn and a great supporting cast, including Godfrey Chambers, William Daniels, Will Geer and more. Fun Lalo Schifrin score.
-
Steak was great, broccoli was kind of weird so I only ate a couple of whatever they're called. Later, I had an artichoke and that was great, too.
-
Good night, friends.
We're at a break. We ran act one and will run it again, then go on to act two.
A huge storm is kicking up a ruckus. Lots of high winds, some rain, thunder and lightning. I am hoping no hail.
-
I started a six-hour silent film, La Roue, or The Wheel. But I turned it off. The storm is too distracting.
-
Finished with my viewing.
-
Not finished with page five.
-
How can that be?
-
I do not understand.
-
Someone will be held accountable.
-
Okay, this is ridic.
No posts in over an hour.
Where's George.
Where's anybody?
Skammen, as Ingmar Bergman once said.
What?
Well, this is three.
Not finished with page five.
I'm still at rehearsal and we just finished. It'll take a while for me to get home.
Unbelievable.
-
Page six. Five posts.
-
Finished at ten-thirty and still not home. Did you go by way of Guam?
-
Oh well, nothing to be done about it and I have to post the notes on time because she of the Evil Eye is coming in the morning.
-
Ridic.
-
A sad state of affairs.
-
I could use an affair right about now, but not a sad one.
-
That Darn George.
-
Ninety minutes and he can't get home.
-
Probably stopped at Taco King or Burger Bell and is stuffing his face with their goodies.
-
Bad, bad, bad.
-
Not a very hospitable way to welcome in April.
