And the word of the day is: SPARKLING!

The director of Incorruptible would like a pick-up rehearsal on Wednesday. It can't happen at the theater because I think they're having callbacks for the next show. We'll probably meet at a local (to the theater) restaurant that has a room that we can reserve. The director is going to call some local places. We'll see.

Good morning, all!
-
It got very cold around 4:00 this morning. Annabelle wanted nder the blankets, Thatch wanted to cuddle, and Stella created havoc. When I awoke she was trying to devour a spray can of catnip, so I suspect she was stoned out of her mind.
-
Some time around 4:00 while Thatch and Annabelle scrambled to get warm, my damned legs went completely to hell. I could not settle and get back to sleep. I did have a strange dream at some point that I was working at the Drama Book Shop, which seemed to be located next to Middletown's Colonial Theatre, now known by its original title, The Sorg Opera House. There was a coffee shop where the old Klamo News store was located, and I had stopped in for my morning cup of coffee and donut, The coffee machine was out, so I got a hot chocolate and some pastry. Yjr lady before me was raising hell because she claimed the shop had charged her twice for a total of $71.00.
-
This morning, Doug and I will finish up Act Two, I hope.
-
Ach! Monday!
Oy!
-
I shan't be finishing my spring cleaning today, but i will work on it through the week.
Would love to have it completed by summer!
-
So, we have been evil and lax and turned our backs on God and the universe, and now we will pay with the devil blocking the sun this afternoon.
Oh! Did anyone see the FB announcement of the film being made with Mickey Rourke? It is, apparently, a biography of Marjorie Taylor Greene, with Rourke starring as Greene.
Perfect physical casting says the likes of me!

Time for brekkies and coffee.

Ane even more modern major miracle vibes for BK!

Would spring cleaning become summer cleaning if done during the summer?
Or is it still spring cleaning, but you'd just be doing part of it in the summer?

Eclipse Day greetings! We are staying in today to avoid the traffic 8)
-
Good morning, all.
-
I’m staying in, too. I’ll walk outside with the glasses when the time comes, and that will be that.
-
Now I want fish and chips.
But a great one, please.
We have a place here whose F&C I’ve liked, but it seemed less than its former self last time I had it. And it was okay but not great at another place we tried a while back.
-
Happy National Library Week!

Eclipse Day greetings! We are staying in today to avoid the traffic 8)
Excellent Eclipse Day planning!
-
Glad to hear the visit went so well.
-
After yesterday's posts, I feel as though I have been on a tour of Michigan.
-
I hope DH RICHARD is feeling better today.
-
So how did it go yesterday?
Hmmmmmmmmm..............
-
I will tell you all here on Page Two.
-
Not very many folks....most of them young girls of high school age who just want to be in the dancing ensemble.....
And nobody knows what "sing 16 measures of a song".......we were treated to FULL versions of "Dream A Little Dream of Me" and "I Cain't Say No" (which is at least from the show we're doing.
We had three....yes THREE....men.....2 men and one high school boy.
We got to hear "The Farmer and the Cowhand".....which must be from someone else's version of "Green Grow the Lilacs."
After hearing them sing, I must say that I sound like Pavarotti.
-
Then we got to the dancing. I took one of the men and the high school boy to the Rehearsal Center where they proceeded to massacre my choreography for "Kansas City." Although they tried and there were moments....MOMENTS....of brilliance.
Then we went back to the stage and it all fell apart.
-
Then there were the readings.
-
Were they confusing "Dream a Little Dream of Me" with "Out of My Dreams" , maybe?
-
So we have Tuesday evening left to go.....we shall see what we shall see.
I really would like to cast adults or at least college age students in the leads.....I don't like having high school kids in the leads - because for the most part then you have a High School Production.
But the choices are not mine.

BREAK LEGS, JRAND!!

To try to get to page 3 quicker, audition songs that mean well but aren't actually from Rodgers and Hammerstein shows and movies.
How about "Surrey Grateful"
-
Bringing in the wrong "Kansas City" song
-
For "Flower Drum Sing" auditions - "A Modern Major Miracle Is Happening Ever Day"
-
"Ding Dong, That Wicked Jud Is Dead"
-
"People Will Just Call to Say I Love You"
-
"I Cain't Stop the Music"
-
"It's a Ken Doll! It's an Outrage!"
-
Those are funny, Freddie! ;D
-
"Climb Every Mountain Greenery"
-
Those are funny, Freddie! ;D
Thank you!
Singdaw would do this filler thing better though.
-
"It's All er Nothin' Coming Back to Me Now"
-
"The Hills are Alive with the Sounds of Silence"
-
And from the same catalog, "Our Scarborough Fair is a Great Scarborough Fair"
-
Is it page 3 yet?
-
Almost!
-
Yes! Page Three!
-
And before 10 a.m. Eastern!
-
Good songs DR FREDDIE.
I wouldn't be surprised if we hear some of them tomorrow night.
-
Congrats to DR RON PULLIAM on the start of job!
-
I found my Eclipse Glasses.
I knew they were in my desk center drawer.....so this morning I took everything out......and there they were.
Let the celebration begin.....I am in a TOTALITY ZONE.
-
DR Jrand73 and DR Ginny are getting TOTALED!
Wait. That doesn't sound right.
-
Totally clouded over here.
-
Back to Poor Things. With a half hour left, it hasn't gotten any better.

Actually, the last 20 minutes or so were quite satisfying. Strange.

Now starting Freud's Last Session. Anthony Hopkins as Freud. So, it's starting out great.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
.
-
Not sure that worked.
-
Perhaps the sun is disrupting communication.
-
We have some high, thin clouds, so our totality might be somewhat obscured.
-
Nothing to see here. Too cloudy.

Well I think eclipse time is approaching the northeast
-
I've been watching the MSNBC eclipse coverage. It's very good.
-
I have been taking peeks at the sun through my special glasses since 1:50 p.m.
it is now at a full crescent....a crescent sun caused by the moon!
-
.
It won't open for me. My photos viewer says it is either unsupported or corrupted.

Good afternoon.

Hugs for DR Ron.

DR George I'm glad the audience enjoyed the show.

We got a crescent sun here. I still have my eclipse glasses from last fall. I drove over to my daughter's house and she stepped outside for a few minutes to take a look.
-
DR John my friend who traveled to Kerrville seems to have good weather.

Nice.
-
The morning the remainder of my stitches were removed :)
-
To my surprised I found out that there are also internal disposable stiches still disolving :o
-
Scabs were also removed.
-
I am now covered in steri-strips and rather sore.

-
While waiting for the moon to start on its path across the sun, Chainsaw #1 and I got a fallen tree cut up and stacked.
-
Good for you.
-
The eclipse itself was clear and lovely through the glasses, but I didn’t think there was much difference in the resulting light anywhere around me.

We’re not, but people were claiming to have seen major differences in light and shadows. It might depend on location of trees and such, but I’ve got plenty of variety right here and I wasn’t seeing much of anything.
-
Back from eye place - very interesting in how we did the adjustment, which I'll talk about in the notes.
-
Picked up a package, got some egg rolls from Gelson's along with a small cube steak.
-
Egg rolls first.
-
Cube steak later.
-
We’ll have to wait for those Ohioan and Indianian DRs to weigh in.
-
We had a perfect view from our new patio. I was surprised at how dark it DIDN’T get until the very last second. Even then it was just kind of dusky, but we did see an “evening” star. During the 90 seconds we had of totality, we removed our glasses (as instructed) and it was awesome. We could hear the folks cheering from the watch party outside the community apartment building.

Sounds wonderful, Ginny!
-
Is Richard feeling better from his sore throat?
-
Richard seems somewhat better. Sitting in the sun for a couple of hours helped a lot.
-
The biggest environmental change we noticed was the drop in temperature.
-
After yesterday's posts, I feel as though I have been on a tour of Michigan.
What’s amazing, DR JRand, is that you got a tour of an axis within greater Detroit that’s only 20 miles north to south and east to west. Such a small world!
-
LOL DR GINNY.
-
Totality was only hampered by the TRUMSTER neighbors and their illiterate comments.
I took a few pictures and I will see if they are worth posting tomorrow.
It was most impressive.
-

Good to hear that!

Continued vibes for DR JANE.
-
I have to say that the eclipse in person with totality was most impressive.
No wonder those in the middle ages were most impressed and awed by the phenomenon.
-
We shall see.
-
Birds got quiet and dogs were barking LOUD in the neighborhood during the event.
-
The eclipse felt like nothing much by us.
-
Purdue plays against UCONN for the NCAA championship tonight.
I am hopeful but not particularly optimistic.

My steri-strips that are supposed to hold the incision together for a bit longer are already falling off.
-
I'm glad you got the stitches out, Jane. Now to recover fully!
-
Thanks DR Laura. If only I would stop having new issues. Ster-Strips are supposed to stay on for 5-7 days, and there is a gap in my incision.
-
No more soreness vibes for Jane.
-
I missed the eclipse. I had a good nap instead.
-
Then I went to a dance lesson.
-
Like every other day.
-
Even with the clouds, it did get dark.
-
Let’s finish this page.

And the gripe about being on the next one.

Grumble, Grumble, Grumble. Could be a Frank Loesser song.

-
I missed the eclipse. I had a good nap instead.

Thank you.
-
I am feeling rather discouraged at the moment and hoping my incision does not open again. One spot really needed those steri-strips to hold it together.

He will be held accountable.

I called hours ago. They closed early for a staff meeting.

Just in days that end in day.

🤗

Do you take a dance lesson every day?

I guess that would include Sunday?
-
Monday? That ends in day.
-
Tuesday also.
-
Hey, Wednesday is pronounced funny, but also ends in day.
-
Thursday also.
-
Friday too?
-
Saturday also ends in day, so Saturday too?
-
That's a lot of dancing!
-
Well, those 7 posts at least get us closer to page 7.
-
Although page 7 is not favored by BK, the gossips claim, it puts page 8 in reach.
-
Maybe going through the days of the week again, just to makes sure, would get us to a page turn?
-
Maybe not.
-
The Beatles sing something about there being eight days a week, and that would get us to page 7 even faster.
-
When does singdaw get back, I wonder.
-
I am home!
-
It was a wonderful, relaxing trip.
-
But travel days make me tired, nonetheless.

Is there anything like an urgent care center that takes your insurance? Or would this not be accepted as an emergency?
-
Nonetheless is one word. I think.

No one does parodies better than you, DR Freddie.
-

I am home!
Welcome home!

Aw, shucks, if that were the case, you'd have heard of me. :)

All Is Ours Day? That's a puzzler.

singdaw, were you on the plane during the eclipse? Or were you never in its path?

Not going to urgent care for this. I probably should have gone and purchased more steri-strips but it hurts to drive. My neighbor might have some when she gets home.

They usually do the same to me.

-
Welcome home, Singdaw. Where are my empanadas?
-
Travel vibes for MichaelG.
-
Thanks, everyone!
-
I was never in the path of the totality.
-
It was at its peak in CA as I was at the airport, preparing for departure, but there was no noticeable change in the light (only about 50%). You could see a crescent if you had the glasses, which I did not.
-
Travel vibes for MichaelG.
Yes, indeed.
-
The flight out was 4 hours, but returning home it was only three. That was nice.
-
This is kind of how I feel as I return to work tomorrow morning:
-
Good night, friends.
-
No one does parodies better than you, DR Freddie.
Aw, shucks, if that were the case, you'd have heard of me. :)
I HAVE heard of DR Freddie!!
-
Good night Sing! Pleasant dreams!
-
The office folks popped out periodically to check status of the eclipse.
-
It was quite interesting watching through the glasses
-
But if I didn't have the glasses I don't think I would have noticed there was an eclipse at all, it became a little dimmer at one point, but no fimmer than if clouds had blocked the sun
-
.
Not sure that worked.
When I downloaded the file, it was 0 bytes, not the 122.8 kB as displayed. :-\
-
Nothing to see here. Too cloudy.
It was either overcast or rained here in the Tumwater/Olympia area all day. :P
-
It must be said that I do not care for page seven.
-
But I do think within the next three hours we will get off this damn page.
-
And so, we have.
-
DR George I'm glad the audience enjoyed the show.
Thanks, Jane.

This was yesterday's Bing Picture of the day (it was taken in 2017):
-
I've been listening to MSNBC on the SiriusXM app.
-
I keep forgetting that tRump's first actual trial is going to start next Monday!
-
At least, jury selection will start.
-
I don't know how long that will take, and then the trial proper will start sometime after that, of course.

PAGE NINE DANCE!!

I've been slightly bad today, food-wise - but at the most I may have had 1400 calories and that won't really set me back, at least that's the hope. I'll be good today and tomorrow.

Why if it isn't page nine.
