~~~More Modern Major Miracle Vibes for BK!!~~~
-
Good morning, all!
-
I sang the Bitty Bit Bit song to the cats, and Annabelle is ready to record it. She demands a 50-piece orchestra, five backup singers, and accommodation at a five-star hotel. And all the Fancy Feast she cam eat.
-
I hope to hell my 2023 tax returns show up soon.
-
Good morning
-
Today, I've got some housekeeping to attend to, and I need to schedule an Access-a-Ride trip for tomorrow morning.
-
I did have Taco Bell
-
A burrito supreme ( minus tomatoes with extra sour cream) and a crunchy taco supreme ( minus tomatoes with extra sour cream)
-
They hit the spot
-
Then I went sleepy bye
-
DR singdaw, what a beautiful painting! I wish we had been able to spend summers at a lake.
-
Here’s Some pictures from last night
-
And the fly leaf
Extremely enjoyable lyric by BK in today's Notes!
What a wonderful evening, DR vixmom. Thanks for sharing it with us.
It really was fun, and a great responsive audience, packed house.
And when I got home with my Taco Bell, I sat deepen in front of the teevee to watch Colbert
Where one of the guests was George Takei!
Maybe I’ll give connections a shot before heading to work
Wednesday morning greetings! As Snoopy says, “It was a dark and stormy night.” I was awakened about 3am by the wind blowing in the window that’s next to my nightstand.
Just went back to last night’s posts to see DR Singdaw’s beautiful painting. That’s a real keepsake!
-
Great news, DR Ginny.
-
Thanks for all the comments about the painting.
Who decides these things?
-
Good morning, all.
-
I need to get right out of here to accomplish a short musical project for someone.
-
The gray, rain, and thunderstorms are supposed to continue today.
Later!
DR ChasSmith's ASS has left the building.
Good morning, all.
Do you think AI could resurrect Bobby Darin an itty bitty bit to record another ditty?
-
I appear to be approaching another milestone. But not this morning
-
Richard is pretty much over his cold and, miracle of miracles, I never got it.
Hooray for that!
-
I dig "Bit Bitty Bit Bit," and I don't care who knows it.
-
MMM vibes for MR BK.
-
Continued vibes for DR JANE.
-
I like Bit Bitty Bit Bit and I am sure I would have bought it...Bobby Darin is a good singer choice, but I am sure Rosemary Clooney would have also knocked it out of the park.....she or Gale Storm.
-
I too enjoyed the painting that DR singdaw posted.
-
I enjoyed reading about the adventures of DR JOHN G and DR VIXMOM last night....and this morning.
-
Good news about DH RICHARD.
-
Not much is happening here. We didn't get LOTS of rain, but we did get some.
Well I fell down yesterday.....nothing broken but I have been prescribed some pain pills....so no driving for a couple of days....
-
Do you think AI could resurrect Bobby Darin an itty bitty bit to record another ditty?
I’ve heard some songs where people have given AI crazy lyrics and a style like 1950s R&B and the results are terrifying. So yes, this could be done.
-
I was eating at a nice restaurant that was/is up about 4 stories in Macy’s and George Takei was sitting at the next table in a nice pink jacket. BD Wong I interviewed once by phone and then met in person in Williamstown after Herringbone.
My friend from California and I went to see “Cabaret” last night and “A Sign of the Times” the night before. Enjoyed both very much.
DR Vixmom it was nice to read about your perfect evening.
-
From DR John who did who only had an almost perfect evening:
We were told to get a manager to get the cleaning staff to handle it. Strange. He was closer to the managers than we were and he could have called cleaning on his walkie talkie.
Yes, strange and had he called them directly it would have been faster.
-
Had there been a chance to meet BD I would have shamelessly dropped Skip's name. Alas, I shall have to wait until my next chance.
I like terrifying. Like mixing disco Ethel with Perry Como. Or Eydie with Marilyn Manson.
Onward!
-
Waiting for the afternoon food delivery.
-
We sorted bread, baked goods, meats, fruit and salads this morning.
-
More cabbages due this afternoon, long with dog and cat food, shelf-stable boxes (with beans, rice and more that we don’t have to sort), grapefruit seltzer, packets of chicken, and who knows what all else.
-
Of, yeah, apples. Cases and cases of apples.
-
I need to babble through a few more posts.
-
I have been slowly working my way through Amor Towles’ new book, Table for Two. I’m enjoying the stories for the most part.
-
I picked up The Iron Claw at the library today. Has anyone seen it?
From George:
That's great, Jane! Can we assume that he actually found some?
The last bandage was great, however, it is no longer appropriate. I will know more about the current one after I take it off this afternoon, then we will decide to put the same type back on or try something new he purchased.
I have been slowly working my way through Amor Towles’ new book, Table for Two. I’m enjoying the stories for the most part.
I think slowly is the best way to work through a book of short stories and wish I could have done that.
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.
-
No call from the glasses people and if they don't get there until this afternoon, I'll go in the morning because Encino after three is impossible.
-
Don't know why it's taking so long.
-
Did get a call from my book gal - she's been out for a few days. She had a botched surgery in 2021 that has caused her endless problems and that's why she's out every now and then. She's having to sue them.
-
But we figured out the book order and as soon as the new PayPal card arrives we'll complete the purchase - should be today or tomorrow, I'm thinking, as I got an email the other day saying it was on its merry way.
Yay! The self adhesive foam bandage did not irritate my delicate skin. I am relieved to say that the bandage, over the Hydrogel that Keith is putting on the incision, seems to be working. Since it is working we did not tempt fate and try the back-up bandages he purchased.
Soon we will be leaving to pick up friends/neighbors at the airport. Once home I'm not sure if I will be returning again this evening.
-
One of the perks of where we live is having neighbors that take turns driving each other to and from the airport. It save a lot of money on airport parking.
-
The airport is only 8.5 miles away. As long as the bridge doesn't back up it is a short drive. Currently mapquest says it will take 12 minutes.
Good night, all.
Had to go to CVS to get Pepcid, which I've been out of for three days. Of course, I put a 35% off thing on my CVS card, plus I have my usual ten bucks off every month - and of course the 35% off didn't show up. I'm so sick of that happening every time but I now save the emails and they can clearly see its says it's on the card. So the thirty-two buck Pepcid cost ten. MUCH better.
-
Listening to the Mahler 2nd, recorded by Ormandy in Minneapolis in 1935. Ormandy is fine - better than fine - the band not so much. Mahler wasn't done a lot back then. And Ormandy was only the second recording made of the complete symphony - the first was Oscar Fried in 1924. The band does get better in the final three movements - only the first has some really sketchy playing and intonation issues. But it's amazing to hear this stuff before Mahler became a "thing" thanks to Mr. Bernstein.
