Well, you've read the notes, the notes were fascinating and had fascination, and now it is time for you to post until the fascinating cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: BONHOMIE!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I am in a lot of pain. While removing a bowl of oatmeal from the microwave, I spilled it on my left hand which is now badly burned. I rinsed it in cold water immediately, but it's still throbbing and I am unhappy about my habd and the mess I must clean up in the kitchen.
-
This is another Access-a-Ride day to my bank and to Staples. I'd rather stay in.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Vibes for Elmore. Have you tried butter on your hand?
-
Thanks for the Taylor Swift comments, Michael G. I'm interested in the Clara Bow song.
-
I am sorry about your poor hand , Elmore .
-
I fell asleep quite early last night

I am still fighting fatigue all the time, wondering if this is a still a holdover from my last bout with Covid

Good morning, friends.

Sorry about your hand, DR elmore3003.

From DR Elmore:
DR ChasSnith, can you convert that Nutcracker tape to mp3? I'd love to have it.
Good idea. I'll give that a try.
-
That was a fun trip in the time machine last night.
That was a very enjoyable Time Machine jaunt!
Maybe there could be a version of "Driving Madeleine" with BK catching a cab (in the earlier year) that takes him from place to place.
-
Quick recovery vibes for Larry! Hoping the pain goes away quickly.
-
George, so sorry to hear about your having had hundreds of records stolen!

I like a lot of Anton Bruckner's choral works, but I have had a hard time appreciating his symphonies.

DR JohnG: Thank you so much for the link to the street corn devilled eggs!
-
Yippee Ki Yay Ki-Friday, y'all!
Yes, Friday has finally arrived in the CSRA (that's the Central Savannah River Area).
DR Singdaw, we don't call 'em "tramps" down here. I won't say what we do call 'em!
-
I was expecting today to be another warm sunny day.
While the temperature is a nice 73 degrees, we are having a hellacious thunderstorm right now. Lots of thunder, too. The rain is assaulting the house.
-
DR John G., I think this one is up your alley.

I keep hearing the song “Imagination” when I try to think of the song “Fascination.”

Imagination. Is funny.

Stolen records would make me cry.

Christmas break from college, 1990. I only had 2-3 crates of records then. For some reason I can’t explain I took every record home for the break. On New Year’s Eve, the place I lived at school burned down. I would have lost all my records.
-
I canceled my Access-a-Ride. I can hold off to next week.
-
Now I have so many records, a selective thief could take a lot that I wouldn’t notice for months.
-
What a lousy morning. I am not amused.
-
Burn recovery vibes, Dear Elmore.
-
Next week my nephew is getting married in Nashville. So we’ll be heading there and I’ll get some rare time with my sisters and mom, nieces and nephs.

I enjoyed MR BK's jaunt into the Twilight Zone last night.

Thanks for the link DR RON PULLIAM - I haven't seen that movie in years either!

I have taken my trezodone for the morning.
I only have two left for tonight and tomorrow night - AFTER the alumni banquet - which consists of cafeteria food served on one of those platters with individual little compartments.
-
I skipped my pill this morning so I could drive to the store. WalMart and Dollar (25) Tree and then stopped by Goodwill.
My nephew and his wife are having a Murder in Magaritaville party on May 4. I play the Hollywood Agent. So I found a very nice pair of pastel pants in coral and a nice short sleeved shirt that is grey with coral accents.....both are now in the load of wash I am doing.
Add some sandals and get my ascot - and I'm all set.
-
I recently read MY WAY the autobiography by Mr. Paul Anka.
I kind of skipped it when it first came out in 2013 because he said some strange things about Annette & her family....and Joy Behar called him on it when he was on the view and he was even more dismissive. And it came out the week Annette died.
ANYWAY - I learned many things.....Jane Morgan mentioned in the notes was married to Jerry Weintraub....didn't know that.
AND I am surprised that Paul A. hasn't been whacked - he really names the names and applies the deeds to the "family" members who used to run Las Vegas.

Now I have so many records, a selective thief could take a lot that I wouldn’t notice for months.
That was part of problem with the missing boxes in my garage. I felt like something was different in there, but I didn't know what it was. Then one day, I went looking for a specific CD that I knew was in a specifically marked box, but then I couldn't find that box! That's when I finally realized what was wrong...several boxes were missing! :(

I remember a New York blizzard in April 1983 or 84. It was a horrible surprise.

The latest snowfall I've known since moving here in '89 was the April Fool's Blizzard of 1997 that dumped a foot of snow on us.
If there was anything else past March during these years, it would just have been a dusting or something that we knew would be gone by the next day.

I'm off to see HABEAS CORPUS, the early-'70s pleasantly un-PC play I saw a preview of two weeks ago. A few friends are in it, and a friend directed it.
What I saw was an invited dress rehearsal (with one replacement actor and another with a cold that at least wasn't covid) and they're now in their second week, so this should be most enjoyable.

Back from the venue - I don't really ever care to drive to Hollywood during the day again.
-
Getting there was okay. Getting back - venue is on Sunset and Highland - turn right on Highland and you don't move for five minutes - half-mile to Hollywood Blvd eight minutes. All due to some idiot in a room somewhere controlling the signals ineptly. Once past Franklin, it moves okay.
-
Had Subway for food. New credit card has not arrived. Should be here by Monday, hopefully.

I listened to the Anthology songs of The Tortured Poets Department. On first listen, they seem less strong than those on the main album. Swift is really good at knowing what to leave in for the main album and what to save for the extras.

I'm home.

The audience really enjoyed the show and were quite vocal during the show. :)

A theater friend came to see the show.
-
Was eating a burrito THAT important?
-
Ah, he returns.
-
We've been in quite a few shows together, so it was good to see him again.
-
Better late than never.
-
I do not care for page seven. And neither did Nietzsche.
-
C'mon, George, let's hear the food stories and show stories.
-
Was eating a burrito THAT important?
I wish I had a burrito...I had a low-carb orange chicken frozen entrée that really didn't have any orange taste. :P
-
I've had other items from this brand (I forget what it is now because I'm up in my bedroom) that weren't too bad.
-
This wasn't really bad per se, but it was just not what I would consider Orange Chicken.
-
Also, maybe if it had been baked in a real oven and not my microwave, and the chicken was crispy, it could've been a little better, but it wouldn't have made it a lot better.
-
What?
-
I want to hear about a burrito.
-
And sadly, I got two of the, so I'll have to figure out a way to doctor it up to make it more palatable.
-
I don't want to eat one, I just want to hear about it.
-
I want to hear about a burrito.
How about burrito-adjacent...tomorrow, the family is getting together at my mom's house and we're going to have tacos!
-
I could eat several sandwiches right about now, but I shall refrain and eat more cashews.
-
These particular cashews have no orange taste.
-
They're not that good, either.
-
I could eat several sandwiches right about now, but I shall refrain and eat more cashews.
Ooo...I have a big bag of cashews from Costco! I love cashews!
-
They're not that good, either.
Darn! That's too bad.
-
But I was under 1000 calories so needed something and it's the only thing in the house.
-
The ones I got from Costco are pretty good...full-sized, whole cashews.
-
If there were something I could order that would be under 400 calories, I might do it. Can't be Taco Bell because in order for free delivery you have to order 12 bucks and that's a LOT of Taco Bell.
-
Gratuitous Post #200!!
-
Maybe I'll check out other options - if I could get a couple of veggie egg rolls that would be perfect. Jack in the Box has good ones, but they only cost five bucks and you have spend twelve.
-
It's a conundrum.
-
Well, let's do an experiment.
-
If there were something I could order that would be under 400 calories, I might do it. Can't be Taco Bell because in order for free delivery you have to order 12 bucks and that's a LOT of Taco Bell.
Is there anything that could be reheated later? I've ordered burritos and successfully reheated them the next day.
-
I know that fresh is best.
-
Well, let's do an experiment.
What experiment?
-
Experiment worked. Delivery fee was only .99 so I have three egg rolls coming way.
-
That will really hit the spot.
-
And the spot will really hit that.
-
Tit for tat.

New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.

I've seen them.

I've read them.

I wrote them.

I really did.

They're actually of a good length.

Egg rolls, baby.

Who doesn't love an egg roll?

I love an egg roll.

And a piano.

Experiment worked. Delivery fee was only .99 so I have three egg rolls coming way.
That's great! I don't love egg rolls (don't hate them, either), but my friend Shelly gets them just about every time she orders either Jack-in-the-Box or Panda Express.
-
Who doesn't love an egg roll?
With six you get eggroll. ;)
