May your day be full of wonderful surprises!
Today will be the big rehearsal for TAO's The King in Yellow that opens on Friday, and I was supposed to be at the rehearsal being the light board operator, but I got a text from pug the director saying that the lighting designer didn't have his script finished, so I really didn't need to be there, and I can just take the day and celebrate my birthday. But I had gotten a text earlier from Kris the stage manager, asking what kind of snacky bits I like so that they could all celebrate my birthday, so I told pug that I'll show up anyway, well, for a while, at least, and eat some birthday snacky bits, and maybe watch the show. My family and a few friends are getting together at 4:00, so that's still happening. :)
If you're going to have snacky bits.
This is a day of piddly things: take the trash to the basement, make tuna salad, bathe, prepare for tomorrow's appointment. I did find yesterday the piano score to Glazunov's ballet Raymonda, but I could not find my score for Elgar's Enigma Variations.
Had a dream in which I was analyzing the lyrics of You Light Up My Life. I remember nothing else.
The enigma continues to intrigue.
The clues left by Elgar have led to various solutions being offered - from Auld Lang Syne to the National Anthem. But Dr. Clive McClelland believes his solution - the hymn "Now the Day is Over" - is the most convincing. "I've been able to account for all 24 notes, which other theories fail to do," he says.

I think it was Johnny Carson who joked about a movie sequel with someone dating an arsonist, called "You Light Up My Warehouse"

Aka, the Love Theme from ‘Save the Tiger’
I cannot recall nor find what BK’s 5-second contribution to E.T. was. Anyone?

What theories did you come up with?
Who knew there was a Poltergeist remake? Not I. And I plan to forget I learned about it.
Happy Birthday to my man, G! Fellow Washingtonian and, for my money, the very heart and soul of HHW!
In Dublin I found a hat that I wanted, especially after I lost the hat I brought with me. I couldn't find it in my size. Today as we were gathered waiting for the bus back to the hotel a woman in our group walked and I shouted "You are wearing my hat". ;D
Happiest of HHW BIRTHDAY GREETINGS to our very own dear DR George!!!!

But I've never heard of a fish burrito.
And if there was one, I don't think DR George would be partaking.

Sounds like a terrific birthday plan!
If you're going to have snacky bits.
That sounds almost euphemistic!
Happy Birthday DR GEORGE!
Yesterday I spent 4 hours talking at Pathway 2 Crystals and made $120 so that was nice.
Happy Birthday, DR George!

Anyway, here's the set:

I bought a box of General Tso's Chicken.....and made it.....and as I am eating it, I realize that it is Mongolian Beef that i like......
I believe I missed Freddie’s and maybe a few others. Hope you all had a great time!
Meetiing was okay.....season ticket sales are down....and everyone is puzzled.....I just want to say.....look at the damned shows you chose!
DR MichaelG, I just caught up with your Bohème Act II from yesterday. Delightful, and I'm a sucker for that scene anyway. You and the missus must be having the greatest time working in opera.
Happy Birthday to DR George!
May you have a great day!
That's a nice set DR GEORGE

80 years ago, Oklahoma! was the hottest ticket going.
80 years ago, Oklahoma! was the hottest ticket going.
Or, as The Beatles would have said:
It was eighty years ago today
Oklahoma was the hottest play
All the people went to see the show
Though $4.40 was a lot of dough
The songs are really fresh and new
So may I introduce you to
R&H's Oklahoma show

What would you do if I sang of Surrey?
Would you stand up and walk out on me?
Lend me poor Jud and I’ll kill him for ye.
And I’ll try not to kill out of key.
Oh! Klahoma with a little help from my friends…
Hey, Jud, don't take it bad.
You lost the basket
You don't have to eat it.
These parodies are great!
My cat commandeered my slipper, and somehow he's become the Pope.

You're surrey grateful
For my birthday, my sister made a couple batches of vegetarian enchiladas (leftovers!) and a salad and Spanish rice, and my mom made a Chocolate Lush.

I've been called a lush before, but I haven't eaten one.
Good night, all
Our director, pug, said that this show is probably the most prepared at this point before an opening than any show she's directed in a long time!

I think that that bodes well for the whole production. :)

I’m superstitious and think that’s the kiss of death!
I'm suddenly Spanish.
Or Mexican, given DR George's birthday food photos.
My jokes will tie you in knots.

Well she left my life for a few weeks, now I’m seeing her name again. So she’s back!
Your birthday has come to a close. Except in Hawaii and places west of here.
