Well, you've read the notes, the notes had the scherzo second and the adagio third, and now it is time for you to post until the adagio second and scherzo third cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: PROLIFERATE!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
Good morning, friends.

A long day's journey into night?

A long night's journey into day?
-
Who can tell, really.

Since it's all a continuum.

Who decides these things?

And just why does Suzette have all the crepes?

I crave a crepe caper.

Oh, my! ::)
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept rather well. Around 2:30, Stella became very insistent on getting some affection before she settled down to sleep, but Thatch's decision to come sleep next to me happened sometime later; it's usually some time between 3 and 4:00. Annabelle settles onto her "princess" pillow next to me around 30 minutes after I've turned off the lights, and there she sleeps until the alarm rings.
-
Today I have a doctor's appointment, so I must deal with Access-a-Ride this morning.
-
This weekend I watched a BBC broadcast of my favorite Harold Pinter play, The Birthday Party, from 1987, with Joan Plowright, Colin Blakely, Robert Lang, Kenneth Cranham, a very young Julie Walters, and Harold Pinter himself. It's a creepy little play, not as creepy as The Caretaker, and I had forgotten how funny much of the dialogue is. The cast is close to perfect, and Plowright - I always forget how wonderful she is - is perfection. I cannot imagine another British actress in her peer group who would have been more perfect in the role.
-
Good morning, all.
-
In spite of best laid modest plans, I accomplished very little yesterday. I really crashed after Saturday’s all-dayer, which is what I needed. Today will see Sunday’s plans, and more, come to fruition.
-
Coffee!!
-
Oh, it’s right here.
-
That Pinter sounds intriguing.
-
Yes, Scherzo second and Adagio third, please.
-
Good morning
-
I had a very weird dream about riding a bus, getting lost in a mall, ending up at a strangers house and having to report to jail for disrespecting a judge
-
I have the details in mind but no time to write them down,
-
I’ll try and remember to write them later
-
For now I must wordle and go to work

Two good Access-a-Rides, which is rare but wonderful! Sadly, the drivers all rely on GPS, so the ride home took around 30 minutews to get from 22nd Street and Fifth Avenue to Tenth Avenue and 35th Street, here we sat through several lights because of traffic. I told the driver to stop following the GPS and take the West Side Highway. Once we got to the highway, it took 15 minutes to get to the Upper West Side. The whole trip took an hour.
But I'm home!
-
I rarely remember my dreams, but last night's was a doozy.
I apparently was required to turn myself into jail for "disrespecting a judge' and chose to go via bus which left me at a mall where I got lost looking for the connecting bus to the prison.
I ended up at some strangers house which was occupied by two women and dozens of children.
They said they knew a shortcut through the woods and as I was following them I got distracted by a old fashioned TV ( the kind with "rabbit ears") playing a black and white movie, and when I looked up they were gone and I was all alone, lost the woods.

With the title of today's Notes, one has to wonder whether BK had a premonition that this year's Pulitzer winner in Music would be "Adagio (for Wadada Leo Smith)" by Tyshawn Sorey
-
Well, you don't really have to wonder that, but it is an interesting coincidence.
-
The word Adagio has never previously been in a Notes title on HHW. So what are the odds?

Frustrating afternoon. I couldn't do a mail hold online. It said to go to a post office in person. While waiting in line, I found I could place the hold on my phone.

I did get prescriptions renewed and the latest vaccine, which my doctor recommended.

I also discovered an ice cream place that's all too close to home. I had a scoop of pistachio and another of pine nut.

I'm exhausted.

They have weeknight specials Monday through Thursday, so we both had that - Prime rib for eight bucks less than the usual price. We split a salad with thousand island, we each had a cup of soup, and he had creamed spinach as his side dish, and I had coleslaw, which wasn't up to snuff. Everything else was stellar including the garlic cheese bread - we each had three small pieces of that.

So I bought some of these off the internet a couple of years ago as Christmas presents and kept one for myself.

I threw it in the emergency kit in the back of the car and completely forgot about it.
Yesterday I went grocery shopping and forgot to turn off my headlights when I went into the store. ( it's raining , hence the lights).
Came out...car won't start, dead battery.
I remembered this thing, which has been sitting unopened in the back of the car for at least 2 years.
Read the instructions, hooked it up and...
car started right up!
Much to my my joy and amazement!
So , huh, it really works!

So begins the Steve Goodman heart-wrencher, “Yellow Coat.”

And now sleep is tugging at my eyelids.

-
I do not care for page seven.
-
A Big Mac and fries.
-
I can't eat the Big Mac anymore, at least not from my local McDonald's - just too gross.
-
I would have had a Subway fancy-shmancy Eyetalian thing.
-
But that's just me.
-
And me that's just.
-
Page seven is a blight on humanity.
-
Where'd George go NOW?
-
Anyone listen to Mein Freund Bunbury? Tammy Grimes?
-
What?
-
I'm doing a monologue all of a sudden?
-
A Big Mac and fries.
And a diet Coke.
-
I can't eat the Big Mac anymore, at least not from my local McDonald's - just too gross.
The one I had was not too bad...well, it was good enough for me. ;)
-
Fish?
-
I would have had a Subway fancy-shmancy Eyetalian thing.
One of the birthday gift cards that I got from my mom was from Subway. :)
-
What?
-
I had their new version of the spicy Eyetalian - very good but I didn't care for the Parmesan dressing they recommend - I prefer the red wine vinegar.
-
And why shouldn't I?
-
Who is anyone to tell me I shouldn't?
-
Damn them, damn them all to hell.
-
Anyone listen to Mein Freund Bunbury? Tammy Grimes?
Two of the actors in The King in Yellow were in the play Bunbury that I was involved in a few years ago. I plan to show them the CD. ;D
-
New notes are up.
-

I don't like that parmesan dressing either. :P
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.

I wrote them.

EIGHT!!
