There used to be these marathon Saturdays around Halloween, beginning at noon, where there would be 4-5 hours of horror/sci fi movies and cartoons. My brother Macbeth and I attended all of them, and I think my mother was grateful to get rid of us for a period of time.

I saw it on TV in Indianapolis on one of those late-night shows hosted by "Sammy Terry".

A rocket was being sent to a planet and the flight crew included a dame. Just prior to blast-off, the dame's sometimes boyfriend -- dressed like a lounge lizard -- shows up to say goodbye or to talk her out of going, something like that.

Unfortunately for lounge lizard, however, the countdown had begun, and the rocket blasted off with him in it.

The rest of the film was way too stupid to even recall, except that they encountered alien inhabitants of some planet and took off again. Presumably, lounge lizard and dame astronaut lived happily ever after.

The day has been very quiet.

Denny cut my yard this morning. I then went to the bank, went to the "Don't Be Square, Eat at The Triangle" for my Thursday cubed steak entree, went to the post office and then came home.

During all that time, i may have encountered five cars. It was very quiet on the streets. Not the usual pace in this part of the CSRA.

Otherwise, i have done virtually nothing today, and i don't have any qualms about saying so.

Pretty much. She's in there so that she can recover without any interactions from the other chickens.
